Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but [continually] be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn't confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Let me invite you to accept and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and to publicly confess Him as such before men. He will therefore be able to acknowledge and confess you before His Father in Heaven. He is The God of Abraham. Isaac and Jacob. Following your public confession, You also invited to follow Him in believer’s baptism by immersion.
Jesus came from Galilee t o Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Allow this]: for thus it becometh [is fitting and right for] us to fulfil all righteousness.”
Baptism is not required for salvation. Remember, Jesus said to the thief on the cross, who acknowledged Jesus’ innocence and said to him.
“Remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
And Jesus said to him,
“Verily [Truly] I say to you, Today you shall be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43
The act of Baptism pictures the Lord’s death, burial and resurrection and the believer’s death to self, burial, and resurrection to walk in newness of life.
It bears witness to the preaching of John the Baptist who preached that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and exhorted Repentance from sin and the Baptism of atonement. Therefore, the act of baptism is not required for salvation but as John preached it is is to be followed to fulfil all righteousness

Is dailyspurgeon.com a trustworthy website?
Is it true? Is it of God?
We ought to apply the following Scripture to everything we hear/read in order to discern whether what we are hearing/reading is of God and therefore whether or not it should be believed.
1 John 4:1-3 Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [word] you hear but be testing the spirits [words] whether they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Here’s how you know if it is the Spirit [voice] of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come from God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Therefore, we ought to test every voice [spirit] whether it is from God, bonified and trustworthy to be believed only if it confesses [states] that…
“Jesus Christ is here, in the flesh having come from God .”
Greek manuscripts invented by Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Alland fail to make this confession nor did they use the well established Textus Receptus that is rendered from the 5,321 extant Greek manuscripts, known to be in overwhelming agreement with one another as the Majority Text.
Instead,they used their own Greek translations that they created using only 55 Greek manuscripts selected from the 5,321 Majority Texts Greek manuscripts..
Their Greek translation presents faulty readings in many places. One example is All translations other than the King James version overlook the original Greek verb “ictin” [To be] [is] (third person singular) that is translated in substantially all Majority Texts MT and subsequently in the Textus Receptus [Received Text] therefore they fail to correctly translate the Greek verb as, “Is come” [Is here]. (Translated aright from the Received Text (TR) in the King James Version only)
This error occurs because the modern critical Greek text, created by Westcott & Hort and Nestles & Alland DO NOT follow the MT [Majority Texts] of 5,321 Greek manuscripts that affirm substantial agreement with one another. The TR [Textus Receptus] is rendered from an overwhelming agreement found among the Majority Text of 5,321 primary Greek manuscript sources.
Both Westcott & Hort and Nestles & Alland have omitted the verb “is”, from the Greek text. This error may be described as res ipsa loquitur meaning the thing speaks for itself.
Therefore, the alternate Greek fabrications generated by these two sources are not actually translations at all but are introduced as translations but actually represent merely their own Greek language creations unsupported by the reliability of the Majority Text or the Textus Receptus.
How do we know?
Because we hear non-believers and false prophets both assert that Jesus Christ
“has come” in the flesh. Practically anyone can make this confession as the birth of Jesus Christ is considered by respected historians to be the most well documented fact in all of human history. That He has come is generally acknowledged by nonbelievers and believers alike. However, here’s the point. There is a huge difference between “Has come” and “Is Here”. “Has come” falls woefully short of the essential and clear meaning of the confession “Is Here”. Just because something “has come” it can not be assumed, inferred or deduced that it also “is here”.
The “has come” assertion is not surprising nor is it, per se, a false statement. Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. However, this fails to present a logical framework to discern whether the sprit [voice] being tested [tried] is from God or from false prophets in the spirit of antichrist.
Again, the expression “has come” rather than “is come” [is here] is not, per se a false statement.
However, it fails to deliver a valid hypothesis, by which discernment is accurately revealed. The failure here to establish a logical and rhetorically sound rubric to judge the question of whether spirits [words] are from God or from false prophets and the spirit of antichrist is absent if “has come” becomes the favored reading.
Namely, “has come” is such a wide-spread belief held to be historically true by all, it does not provide a sound standard to discern whether a spirit [spoken or written words] are from God or the spirit of Antichrist.
Almost anyone [or any spirit] can declare that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. But as you can see, this does not resolve the issue of whether something should or should not be believed or followed. Why? Once again, because almost anyone can and often does confess that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. This is an insufficient standard. The standard must be whether the confession that Jesus is here alone, gives an efficacious standard to discern truth from error.
Again, while it is true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, this alone is inadequate to discern truth from error. “Has come” does not mean the same thing as “is come [is here], from God, in the flesh” and therefore fails to be efficacious for true spiritual discernment as outlined in 1 John Chapter 4: 1-3.
Furthermore, as we compare Scripture with scripture in 1 John 4:1-3 and Ephesians 5:30-32
we comprehend God’s message regarding the body of Jesus Christ being in the Flesh vis-à-vis The Body of Christ, The Corporate Church.

[So, we are members of His body, flesh and bone, [we are] one flesh with Him, The Body of Christ is (In the flesh); and is the incarnate Body of believers].
He was born of a virgin 2024 years ago and He lives today.

When a believer considers the fact that they are members of the body of Christ [The Church] , they should acknowledge and readily confess that…
“Jesus Christ is here, from God, in the flesh,” because We are the Body of Christ; The Church, in the flesh! Amen.

Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were loved and read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible. It’s also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.

Spurgeon: Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah; our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

A SINNER’S PRAYER
PRAYER 4, Part 1 of 5
THE ALL-PREVAILING PLEA
O LORD God! The Fountain of all Fullness, we, who are nothing but emptiness, come unto Thee for all supplies, nor shall we come in vain [without purpose], since we bear with us a plea which is all prevalent [always prevails].
Since we come commanded by Thy Word,
encouraged by Thy promise, and
preceded by Christ Jesus, our great High Priest,
we know that whatsoever we shall ask in prayer, believing, we shall receive.
Only, do Thou help [please help] us now to ask right things, and may the utterances [sounds] of our mouth be acceptable in Thy sight, O God our Strength and our Redeemer [Savior] .
We would [We want to] first adore Thy blessed and ever-to-be-beloved Name. “All the earth doth [does] worship Thee, the Father everlasting.”
Heaven is full of Thy glory.
Oh! that men’s [our] hearts were filled therewith, that the noblest creatures Thou hast [have] made, whom Thou didst set [You did put] in the Paradise of God, for whom the Savior shed His blood, loved [would love] Thee with all their [our] hearts.
The faithful, chosen, called, and separated, join in the everlasting song. All Thy redeemed praise Thee, O God! As the God of our election, we extol [gladly praise] Thee for Thine everlasting and immutable love. As the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we bless Thee for that unspeakable gift, the offering of Thine [Your] Only-begotten [supernaturally fathered].
Words are but air, and tongues but clay, and Thy compassion is divine, therefore it is not possible that any words of ours should “reach the height of this great argument,” or sound forth Thy [Your] worthy praise for this superlative deed of grace.

ANECDOTE 18, Backsliders Reclaimed.
I remember one Monday afternoon, when we had been waiting upon the Lord in prayer ever since seven o clock in the morning, that there came a most remarkable wave of prayer over the assembly.
,And then two backsliders got up and prayed one after the other. According to their own account, they had been very bad fellows indeed, and had sorely transgressed against God; but there they were, broken-hearted and fairly broken down. It was a sight to make angels rejoice as their tears flowed. Certainly, their sobs and cries touched the hearts of all of us who were assembled.
I thought to myself, “Then God is blessing us, for when backsliders come back it is a proof that God has visited his people.”

Horses and chariots, and a great host [army], shut [locked] up the prophet in Dothan. His young servant was alarmed. How could they escape from such a body of armed men? But the prophet had eyes which his servant had not, and he could see a greater host with far superior weapons guarding him from all harm. Horses of fire are mightier than horses of flesh, and chariots of fire are far preferable to chariots of iron. Even so is it at this hour.
The adversaries of truth are many, influential, learned, and crafty; and truth fares ill [is not received] at their hands; and yet the man of God has no cause for trepidation [fear]. Agencies, seen and unseen, of the most potent [powerful] kind, are on the side of righteousness. God has armies in ambush [hidden] which will reveal themselves in the hour of need. The forces which are on the side of the good and the true far outweigh the powers of evil.
Therefore, let us keep our spirits up, and walk with the gait [pace] of men who possess a cheering secret, which has lifted them above all fear. We are on the winning side.
The battle may be sharp, but we know how it will end.

MORNING August 17
"The mercy of God. "—Psalm 52:8

MEDITATE a little on this mercy of the Lord.
It is tender mercy. With gentle, loving touch, He heals the broken in heart [brokenhearted], and binds up their wounds. He is as gracious in the manner of His mercy as in the matter of it.
It is great mercy. There is nothing little in God; His mercy is like Himself—it is infinite. You cannot measure it. His mercy is so great that it forgives great sins to great sinners after great lengths of time, and then gives great favors and great privileges and raises us up to great enjoyments in the great heaven of the great God.
It is undeserved mercy, as indeed all true mercy must be, for deserved mercy is only a misnomer for justice. There was no right on the sinner's part to the kind consideration of the Most High; had the rebel been doomed at once to eternal fire he would have richly merited the doom, and if delivered from wrath, sovereign love alone has found a cause, for there was none in the sinner himself.
It is rich mercy. Some things are great but have little efficacy [practical effect] in them, but this mercy is a cordial [small amount of sherry or brandy] to your drooping spirits, a golden ointment to your bleeding wounds, a heavenly bandage to your broken bones, a royal chariot for your weary feet, a bosom of love for your trembling heart.
It is manifold mercy. As [John] Bunyan says in [Pilgrim’s Progress ]

"All the flowers in God's garden are double." There is no single mercy. You may think you have but one mercy, but you shall find it to be a whole cluster of mercies. It is abounding mercy. Millions have received it, yet far from its being exhausted, it is as fresh, as full, and as free as ever.
It is unfailing mercy. It will never leave you. If mercy is your friend, mercy will be with you in temptation to keep you from yielding; with you in trouble to prevent you from sinking; with you [in] living to be the light and life of your countenance; and with you [in] dying to be the joy of your soul when earthly comfort is ebbing fast [slipping away].

FROM our Lord's words we learn that there is a limit to sickness. Here is an "unto" within which its ultimate end is restrained, and beyond which it can not go. Lazarus might pass through death, but death was not to be the ultimatum [final end] of his sickness. In all sickness, the Lord says to the waves [sensations] of pain, "Hitherto [here] shall ye go, but no further." His fixed purpose is not the destruction, but the instruction of His people.
Wisdom hangs up the thermometer at the furnace mouth, and regulates the heat.
The limit is encouragingly comprehensive. The God of providence has limited the time, manner, intensity, repetition, and effects of all our sicknesses; each throb is decreed, each sleepless hour predestinated, each relapse ordained, each depression of spirit foreknown, and each sanctifying result eternally purposed. Nothing great or small escapes the ordaining hand of Him who numbers [counts] the hairs of our head.
This limit is wisely adjusted to our strength, to the end designed, and to the grace apportioned. Affliction comes not at haphazard [without God’s providence] —the weight of every stroke of the rod is accurately measured. He who made no mistakes in balancing the clouds and meting out the heavens, commits no error’s in measuring out the ingredients which compose the medicine of souls. We cannot suffer too much nor be relieved too late.
The limit is tenderly appointed. The knife of the heavenly Surgeon never cuts deeper than is absolutely necessary.
"He doth not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men." A mother's heart cries, "Spare my child;" but no mother is more compassionate than our gracious God. When we consider how hard-mouthed [stubborn] we are, it is a wonder that we are not driven with a sharper bit. [more severe control]
The thought is full of consolation, that He who has fixed the bounds of our habitation, has also fixed the bounds of our tribulation.
A SINNER’S PRAYER
Whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this. Won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.
Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner. But, because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus. You took my place on the cross and provided the way for me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would atone for my sins.
Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free.
You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
Thank you, Father, for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

God has preserved His Word through The Masoretic Hebrew of the Old Testament and the GreekTextus Receptus of the New:
In contrast, the Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not translated from the over 5,312 Majority Text Greek manuscripts, that became the Textus Receptus [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.
Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus.
Psalm 119:89-90
89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:
thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]
God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible English Version (KJV) because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on only 55 hand picked inferior Greek manuscripts fabricated from either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. Both of these Greek textual sources follow an assumption that OLDER IS BETTER. Of course, this assumption is not valid if the older manuscripts contain error.
The established majority manuscripts and the Textus Receptus avoid doctrinal error, and inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings which taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.
Copyright: The King James Version is distinguished by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No one other than the Crown’s printer, is allowed print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are based on defective Greek manuscript created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.
