(1 One)   His Name is INCOMPREHENSIBLE!

Exodus 3:13-15 “13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.”

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.

The issue is not translational.

Marketing ploys by publishing companies  that have little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions  are:
 

• Easier to read.
   

• More modern.
   

• More accurate (Not  true)
   

The most popular. (KJV is still the most popularly read Bible in America)

The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.

On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

Take away the heart of stone, take away the frivolities [foolishness], the levity [amusements], the giddiness [silliness] of our youth, and give us in downright earnest to seek true happiness where alone it can be found, in reconciliation to God, and in conformity to His will.

Lord, save the careless, save the sinful, the drunkard, take away from him his cups [drinks]. The unholy and unjust men, deliver these from their filthiness; the dishonest and false, renew them in their lives; and any that are lovers of pleasure, dead while they live, and any that are lovers of self, whose life is bounded by the narrowness of their own being, [may] the Lord, renew them, regenerate them, make them new creatures in Christ Jesus.

ANECDOTE 251 April 13th  : OVERCOMING HINDRANCES.

You remember in John Bunyan’s life he says that one Sunday, when he was playing on the village green at a game of cat, he was just about to strike the cat when a voice came to him from heaven, and said,

“Wilt thou have thy sins and go to hell, or leave thy sins and go to heaven ?”

And he stood there in the midst of his companions and paused, and they could not think what ailed [bothered] the tinker while he was disputing in his mind which it should be,

Christ and heaven, or his [Bunyan's] sins and hell.

Now, whatever your hindrance is, be it money, be it worldly ambition, or be it any fond passion of the flesh whatever it is, give it up.

If it be thy right hand, thou hadst [had] better cut it off, and cast it from thee, [throw it away] than [by] keeping it, seal thine endless doom. If it be thy right eye, twere [it were] better for thee to pluck it out, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

When we know the Lord, we receive the forgiveness of sins. We know Him as the God of Grace, passing by our transgressions [overlooking forgiven sin]. What a joyful discovery is this! But how divinely is this promise worded: the Lord promises no more to remember our sins!

Can God forget?

He says He will, and He means what He says.

He will regard us as though we had never sinned. The great atonement so effectually removed all sin, that it is to the mind of God no more in existence.

The believer is now in Christ Jesus, as accepted as Adam in his innocence; yea, more so, for he wears a divine righteousness, and that of Adam was but human. The Great Lord will not remember our sins so as to punish them, or so as to love us one atom the less because of them.

As a debt, when paid ceases to be a debt, even so doth the Lord make a complete obliteration of the iniquity of His people. When we are mourning over our transgressions and shortcomings, and this is our duty as long as we live, let us at the same time rejoice that they will never be mentioned against us.

This makes us hate sin.

God’s free pardon makes us anxious never again to grieve Him by disobedience.

Prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus that You forgive the iniquity, of those who trust in You, and remember their sin no more. I believe that you are God’s only begotten son, and that You took my place on the cross and became sin to suffer and die as the sacrifice for my sin and the punishment that I deserved. I also believe that God raised You from the dead, to eternal victory over sin, Satan and the grave so that I could be made the righteous of God in You. I thank and celebrate You, for my salvation and for each new birth that takes place in each one who trust in You. I pray in your name, Lord Jesus and for your sake, Amen.

Our blessed Lord experienced a terrible sinking and melting of soul.

"The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity, but a wounded spirit who can bear?"

Deep depression of spirit is the most grievous of all trials; all besides [everything else] is as nothing. Well might the suffering *Savior cry to His God,

"Be not far from me,"

for above all other seasons a man needs his God when his heart is melted within him because of heaviness.

Believer, come near the cross this morning, and humbly adore the King of glory as having once been brought far lower, in mental distress and inward anguish, than any one among us; and mark His fitness to become a faithful High Priest, who can be touched with a feeling of our infirmities.

Especially, let those of us whose sadness springs directly from the withdrawal of a present sense of our Father's love, enter into near and intimate communion with Jesus. Let us not give way to despair, since through this dark room the Master has passed before us. Our souls may sometimes long [for] and faint, and thirst even to anguish, to behold the light of the Lord's countenance: at such times let us stay [brace] ourselves with the sweet fact of the sympathy of our great High Priest.

Our drops of sorrow may well be forgotten in the ocean of His griefs; but

how high ought our love to rise!

Come in, O strong and deep love of Jesus, like the sea at the flood in spring tides, cover all my powers, drown all my sins, wash out all my cares, lift up my earth-bound soul, and float it right up to my Lord's feet, and there let me lie, a poor broken shell, washed up by His love, having no virtue or value; and only venturing to whisper to Him that if He will put His ear to me, He will hear within my heart faint echoes of the vast waves of His own love which have brought me where it is my delight to lie,

even at His feet for ever.

EVENING April 13th  "THE KING'S GARDEN. " —Nehemiah 3:15

MENTION of the king's garden by Nehemiah brings to mind the paradise which the King of kings prepared for Adam. Sin has utterly ruined that fair abode [lovely dwelling place] of all delights, and driven forth the children of men to till [plow] the ground, which now yields thorns and briers.

My soul, remember the fall, for it was your fall. Weep much because the Lord of love was so shamefully ill-treated by the head of the human race, of which you are a member, as undeserving as any. Behold how dragons and demons dwell on this fair earth, which once was a garden of delights.

See yonder, another King's garden, which the King waters with His bloody sweat—

Gethsemane, whose bitter herbs are sweeter far to renewed souls than even Eden's luscious fruits.

There the mischief of the serpent [devil] in the first garden [Eden] was undone. There the curse was lifted from earth, and borne by the woman's promised seed [The Lord Jesus]. My soul, think of the agony and the passion; resort to the garden of the olive-press and view your great Redeemer rescuing you from your lost estate [your depravity].

This is the garden of gardens indeed, wherein the soul may see the guilt of sin and the power of love, two sights which surpass all others.

Is there no other King's garden?

Yes, my heart, you are or should be such.

How do the flowers flourish! Do any choice fruits appear? Does the King walk within and rest in the bowers [shady places] of my spirit? Let me see that the plants are trimmed and watered, and the mischievous foxes hunted [chased] out. Come, Lord, and let the heavenly wind blow at Your coming, that the spices of Your garden may flow abroad. 

Nor must I [I must not] forget the King's garden of the church.

0 Lord, send prosperity to it. Rebuild her walls, nourish her plants, ripen her fruits, and from the huge wilderness, reclaim the barren waste, and make thereof 

" a King's garden."

A Sinner’s Prayer.

 

A person may come to Jesus by  believing and (whole heartedly) praying like this:

 

 “Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You.  I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would deserve and spend forever in Hell.

I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion)  and justifying my own behavior as "good"  or "OK" will never  save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me. 
I come to You   right now.  Lord Jesus.   Please save me.  I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know  You always keep your word.  Please save me. You say and  it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming  to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I  give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from  every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done)  and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s  presence.  Thank you for forgiving  all of  my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve.  (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed [poured out] for me at Calvary [at the cross].

Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.

Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly.  But,  because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus.  You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for  me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].  
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who,gave up  His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world. 

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and  after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with  You  in heaven. 

 

 I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart.   Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth.,  Amen.”

Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, The Comforter, The Paraclete [true friend who is by your side and always has your back]  for the new life in Jesus and the  victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for Your  empowerment  to see  this promise fulfilled. Alterations to and alternative readings in Biblical Text were brought about by the Critical Greek Text of Westcott & Hort and was used to translate the: NIV, ESV, RSV and other Modern Language Translations who’s Greek translations came from the Greek Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  90% is from Vaticanus and 8-9% from Sinaiticus  and were the principle Texts used by Westcott and Hort to invent their Critical Greek Text. There are  more disagreements than there are agreements between these two Codices of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  .

 

From their inferior Greek Text, 17 verses are deleted out of the New Testament in following the Critical Text. 7,000 words in total are deleted.

Codices Sinaiticus  and Vaticanus are counterfeits that were  overwritten in the 10th 11th and  completely overwritten in the 15th centuries. There are more points of disagreement than there are points of agreement between them.

The Geneva Bible was also translated from the Traditional Greek Text, The Textus Receptus [The Received Text] including  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; Puritan Believers whose lives were  beyond reproach.
This Bible was brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

The traditional Textus Receptus [The Received (Greek) Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority (Greek Manuscript) Text [MT] that agree 99% with one another. Other variant readings stem from Greek translations invented by  either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland.  These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus [TR]

 

There is also translational evidence from Jerome’s Latin Vulgate that establishes The Traditional Greek Text as both the OLDEST and the BEST. [Unlike the Counterfeit proofs  offered with The Critical Test].

Is it of God?
YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

1 John 4:1-3
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore I do confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

[All translations of the Bible that use  Greek translations other than the Traditional AKA the faithful Textus Receptus do not have the Greek word “ictin”.  This word  means “is” in English] and  its exclusion causes the meaning of its translation, “is here” to change to “has” come.

This mistake is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists and even  heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come”   [in the flesh].

While this is a true statement, taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”. When “has” come is the meaning   the test God has given in His Word to discern whether words being analyzed are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist is made void.

One of the most well documented facts in all human history is that Jesus The Christ [The Anointed Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the essential question  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether this confession affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  in the flesh.

 

Please Compare and consider [Meditate upon] this scripture with other related scriptures.  Precept upon precept, Line upon line…

This concept, championed by the Reformation, know that the Holy Spirit illuminate:

Divinely Protected and Providentially Preserved:

Matthew 5:18: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (KJV).

Matthew 24:35: 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (AKJV).

1 Peter 1:23: 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  (KJV).

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV)  also known as The King James Version, Edition of 1769 (KJV), The Authorized Version (AV) and The Geneva Bible are faithful Translations from the preeminent, [surpassing all others],  Traditional Greek Text which predates the name given to the  Textus Receptus [The Received Text] TR, and is superior to all modern Critical Text translations rendered from inferiorGreek Sources that include: (Westcott & Hort, Nestle & Aland,  and Codices Vaticanus, Sinaiticus and Alexandrus).

 

John 1:1: 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.

(KJV) The Authorized Version AV Translation was faithfully translated by fully consecrated,  and dedicated men of faith, beyond reproach, preeminent linguists, language scholars who were fully devoted followers of  The Lord Jesus Christ.   The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [Received Text]:

 

Psalm 119:89  ל   (Lamed)  For ever, [sic] O  Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

 

“GOD’S LIVING  Word” is The Infinitely Inspired and Ultimate Stare Decisis [The Legal Latin Term that expresses the principle of “Legal Precedence”. It means to stand by things decided, and  to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired] and therefore eternally, Divinely and immutably decided FOREVER]

 

4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

 

Therefore, I now confess that “Jesus Christ is here in the flesh.”  

 

[All other English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Receptus erroneously renders the English translation “Has come”.

      

 This Translation error is because inferior Greek manuscripts do not include the Greek word  “ictin”  (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Majority Text of the Textus Receptus) and therefore  the failure  to correctly translate “ictin” [Is Here] into English.

 

 The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV and the Geneva Bible stand alone in making and giving the correct translation: “is here”.

 

This  error: “has come” is self-evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics  can, and sometimes will,  make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, it is a true and factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Yet, while this is, a true and factual statement, the meaning in scripture has now been erroneously changed. The new and erroneous meaning is that now even if He “has come” in the flesh  the confession that JESUS CHRIST IS HERE IN THE FLESH is impossible for THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST who is the creator of all heresies  to confess. Without it, Don’t  believe anything  that is said or written.

 

NEITHER does it provide for the test for believers to discern whether a spirit [voice or written words being read or heard] are from God or from the Antichrist.  It is  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it’s essential that the confession that Jesus Christ,  “IS HERE IN THE FLESH” Be confessed  [be spoken].

Why Have Traditional  Sacred Hymns Endured for Such a Long aTime? 
 

Because God preserves and protects His Word. The lyrics in Sacred hymns are divinely God breathed [Inspired and Spoken by God] words and are therefore infinite, immutable and eternal.

We are, instructed in the Word of GOD to assemble,  praise and worship God. Thus, we must assemble and worship the Lord Jesus Christ and exhort [encourage] and provoke one another to do good works.

Such worship may take place through, congregational singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs, reading, preaching and obeying God’s Word, sharing Christian love and fellowship, agreeing together  with  specific public prayer requests, and reading and exhorting one another in the Word, to provoke one another to love and serve and bear witness with one another in the Holy Ghost.

This ministry was begun as daily e-mails of Faith’s Checkbook by Charles H. Spurgeon were sent to John -Michael’s son, Jon Edward Riley.  Jon shared these messages with others and soon over 300 were added to the mailing list through his witness as he witnessed and  shared  his testimony with them.

Jon was called home by his loving Father in Heaven on January 16, 2021 leaving a legacy of this Website to minister to all who will  benefit in this labor of Love to the glorify God and His Eternal Kingdom. ALL Glory belongs to GOD, alone.

 Jon loved to say, “I’m a blood-bought, born-again Child of God!” to anyone he happened to meet.

… Jon’s  testimony lives on from one who, by grace, through faith was forever accepted in the Beloved; who’s loving ways brought the good news of Jesus to many. and one who is now present with the LORD  in glory forever.  One who, one day, we’ll reunite.. 
 

Jon  would sometimes just sing-out some of the following songs on the way to church, or just singing along with the Elvis Gospel CD that was always in our F-150’s CD player while riding with his Dad or,  Best of all, when  an inspired,  spontaneous praise from the Lord would just pop out from his joyful, creative, redeemed and loving heart.

       *I Can Only Imagine being present with the LORD,  or hearing the completed song the Lord completed with Jon when he arrived; a song known only to the Lord,  to Jon and the few who heard Jon sing it here. Lyrics remembered  from him singing:   "See my Jesus, Walkin' on duh Waduh"…  an original, inspired song from our beloved  Jon, himself a true and renown original.

…Jon would always say “Later”; [as in, see-ya later] instead of “good bye”.  It was the only farewell greeting he would ever use when parting company with a friend; and, everyone was Jon’s friend.

 … He would never  say “good-bye”.

Now, as we remember the sound of him saying “Later”, it rings true in a  new and deeper meaning and it brings a joy and comfort to the hearts of those whom he loved so well; those who love him still and will forever more.
