DEVOTION for October 22nd 2025

Note: The New King James Version NKJV and all versions NOT translated from Scrivener’s Textus Receptus [The Received Text] contain variant inferior readings. Changes that reduce the full glory and Holy reverence written in the 1769 Edition of the 1611 King James Version KJV also known as the Authorized King James Version AKJV or the Authorized Version AV. The Geneva Bible is also faithfully translated from Scrivener’s Greek Textus Receptus.
Only the Textus Receptus [Received Text] is produced from more than 5,321 original Majority Greek Manuscripts MT and agree 99% with one another. All other variant readings are translated from either Westcott and Hort’s or Nestle and Aland’s, Greek Texts fabricated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and lack the trustworthiness of the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV and the Geneva Bibles. are the only two translations from the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

The Bridge to Babylon video presents historical evidence that accounts for the explosion of over 100 different English version translations of the Bible. The continuing attempts to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible can not prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His inspired Holy Words
from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion , error additions, subtractions and changes.

* BCE/CE vs. BC/AD What’s the difference?
Learn the difference; defend the Truth. Won’t you?
A.D. does NOT mean “After Death” as many mistakenly believe. It is Latin for Anno Domini, a phrase adopted into English usage that means “Year of [the/our] Lord”. The complete original phrase "anno Domini nostri Jesu Christi" means "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ”. A.D. is used with B.C. Before Christ to divide all history before and after the birth of Jesus Christ. ...More

Is the website DAILYSPURGEON faithful?
Is it of God?
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
I hereby confess, out-loud, that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh.
[All translations of the Bible that use a Greek text other than the traditional and reliable Textus Receptus ignore the word “ictin” (the Greek word that means “is” in English). This omission causes the meaning of “is here” to change from “is come” [is here] to “has come”.
This error is self-evident as non-believers, false prophets and even heretics can, and frequently do, declare that He “has come” [in the flesh].
While this is a true statement, when taken at face value, the meaning “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; which is the valid test of discernment between the Spirit of God and the spirit of antichrist.
The most well documented fact in all history is that Jesus Christ [Messiah] “has come” in the flesh. The essential question, however, is not whether the spirit [words or person] being tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether the confession being made affirms that Jesus Christ, “is here”, (NOW) from God, in the flesh.
30 for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. [The body of CHRIST]
Compare scripture with scripture:
“I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here and now , of the body of Christ]. Because we are members of the Body of Christ [The Church]

The Lord Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, 1 John 4:2-4
was born of a virgin A.D. 2025 years ago.
He’s alive today, has existed from the beginning as God’s eternal Word,
and He’s returning soon for his bride, the Church.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16
Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth:
for I am God and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22
Worship God in Spirit and in Truth:
-
Praying with our heavenly Father, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; 1 Thessalonians 5:17
-
Hearing and obeying the eternal, inspired, immutable, inerrant, infallible, revealed and protected Word of God, revealed through Jesus Christ, the living Word; 1 Peter 1:23
-
Being filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19
-
Gather in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20 - Jesus Christ

Our aim is to follow the Lord Jesus Christ who says, “I am the way, the truth and the life…” John 14:6
Jesus was lifted up from the earth, hung on the cross and gave up his life to save sinners, John 12:32 Therefore, we pray that many should not perish, but come believing in Jesus Christ and have everlasting life. This invitation is extended to all non-believers for them to turn away from sin, look to the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. We pray also that all believers will be built up being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:28-30

A SINNER’S PRAYER
TODAY’S DEVOTION: written and calendared by Charles Haddon Spurgeon for today’s date.
PRAYER 13, Part 3 0f 11: October 22nd
THE WINGS OF PRAYER.
We come to Thee and pray that, for Jesus’ sake, and through the virtue of the blood once shed for many for the remission [forgiveness] of sins, Thou wouldest [would] give us perfect pardon of every transgression [sin] of the past. Blot out, O God, all our sins like a cloud, and let them never be seen again. Grant us also the peace-speaking word of promise applied by the Holy Spirit, that being justified by faith we may have peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let us be forgiven and know it, and may there remain no lingering question in our heart about our reconciliation with God, but by a firm, full assurance
based upon faith in the finished work of [Jesus] Christ,
may we stand as forgiven men and women against whom transgression shall be mentioned never again, for ever. .
[In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ] Amen.

ANECDOTE 82: October 22nd Loyalty to Christ.
Dr. Payson [a member of Spurgeon’s congregation] had once been out to tea with one of his people, who had been particularly hospitable to him, and when he was going, the doctor said:
“Well, now, Madam, you have treated me exceedingly well, but how do you treat my Master ?”
That is a question I should like to put to some of you. How do you treat my Master? Why, [Well] you treat him as if he were not Christ, as if you did not want him. But, you do need him. May you find him soon, for when you come to die, you will want him then, and perhaps then you may not find him.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK October 22nd PLEAD HIS OWN PROMISE C.H. Spurgeon
-Thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed forever- 2 Samuel 7:29
- Tu, Jehová Dios, lo has dicho, y con tu bendicion será bendita la casa de tu siervo para siempre- 2 Samuel 7:29
This is a promise pleaded, and so it yields double instruction to us. Anything which the Lord God has spoken we should receive as surely true, and then plead it at the throne [of God in prayer]. Oh, how sweet to quote what our own God has spoken! How precious to use a –therefore– which the promise suggests, as David does in this verse! We do not pray because we doubt, but because we believe. To pray unbelievingly is unbecoming [wrong] in the Lord’s children. No, Lord, we cannot doubt thee: we are persuaded that every word of thine is a sure foundation for the boldest expectation. We come to thee and we say,
-Do as thou hast said.-
Bless thy servant’s house.
Heal our sick;
save our hesitating [lingering] ones;
restore those who wander;
confirm [firmly encourage ] those who live in thy fear.
Lord, give us food and raiment according to thy word.
Prosper our undertakings;
especially succeed our endeavors to make known thy gospel in our neighborhood.
Make our servants [helpers] thy servants,
[Make] our children thy children.
Let the blessing flow on, to future generations, and
as long as any of our race remains on earth may they remain true to thee.
O Lord God -let the house of thy servant be blessed.-
Thank You dear Lord that You bless your servants’ households. I receive this promise, in your name, and for Your sake, Lord Jesus. Amen.

… and pray for the saving of many souls and the strengthening of all believers.
The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Pray also that believers will be taught by the Holy Spirit to rightly divide and proclaim God’s eternal Word preserved by God, Himself.
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [supernaturally fathered] Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but may be having eternal life.
John 3:16

vis. The Textus Receptus TR [Received Text] was faithfully rendered and was in substantial agreement with the overwhelming majority of 5,321 extant Greek manuscripts of the New Testament known as the MT. [Majority Text] from which the Textus Recptus was compiled. The Hebrew manuscripts were meticulously copied by hand [manuscript] by the Masoretic scribes of the Old Testament. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus codices are not of comparable quality as they are often found to be in disagreement with one another.
Never-the-less, these compromised codices contain multiple variant readings and were set forth in modern textual criticism ostensibly to explain the need for new editions. Modern textual criticism is based on the false assumption that older manuscripts are, de-facto, better. Actually, the unsettled changes from the variant readings reflect doctrinal ambiguities and are sometimes used to bolster doctrine unsupported in scripture of a secular or denominational tradition or to allow blasphemous translations from faulty Greek texts to diminish God’s Sovereignty, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Immutability, Inerrancy or Infallibility and to rob Glory from His infinite and everlasting “I AM” that is deserving of ALL GLORY.
Look unto me and be saved, anyone and everyone for I am God and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22
MORNING October 22nd
"I will love them freely. "— Hosea 14:4
—Amarélos de voluntad— Oseas 14:4
THIS sentence is a body of divinity in miniature. He who understands its meaning is a theologian, and he who can dive into its fullness is a true master in Israel. It is a condensation of the glorious message of salvation which was delivered to us in Christ Jesus our Redeemer.
The sense hinges on the word "freely." This is the glorious, the suitable, the divine way that love streams from heaven to earth, a spontaneous love flowing forth to those who neither deserved it, purchased it, nor sought after it. It is, indeed, the only way in which God can love such as we are.
The text is a deathblow to all sorts of fitness [self-merit]:
"I will love them freely. "
Now, if there were any fitness necessary in us, then He would not love us freely, at least, this would be a mitigation [intervening cause] and a drawback to the freeness of it. But it stands,
"I will love you freely." [Christ responds]
We complain like this: "Lord, my heart is so hard."
"I will love you freely." [He repeats]
"But I do not feel my need of Christ as I could wish.” [As I would like to feel]
"I will not love you because you feel your need; I will love you freely." [The Savior responds]
"But I do not feel that softening of spirit which I desire."
Just Remember, the softening of spirit is not a condition, for there are no conditions.
The covenant [divine promise] of grace has no conditionality whatever, so that we without any fitness may venture [trust] on the promise of God that was made to us in Christ Jesus when He said,
"He that believeth on Him [Jesus Christ, The Messiah] is not condemned."
It is blessed to know that the grace of God is free to us at all times, without preparation, without fitness, [self-improvement] without money, and without price!
"I will love them freely."
These words invite backsliders to return: indeed, the text was specially written for such.
“I will heal their backsliding; I will love them freely.”
Backslider, surely the generosity of the promise will at once break your heart, and you will return and seek your injured Father's face.
EVENING October 22nd
"He shall take of Mine, and shall show it unto you." — John 16:15
—Dije que tomará de lo Mío, y os lo hará saber.— Juan 16:15
THERE are times when all the promises and doctrines [teachings] of the Bible are of no avail, unless a gracious hand shall apply them to us. We are thirsty, but too faint [weak] to crawl to the water-brook. When a soldier is wounded in battle it is of little use for him to know that at the hospital there are those who can bind up his wounds and medicines there to ease all the pains which he now suffers: what he needs is to be carried thither [there] and to have the remedies applied. It is thus with our souls, and to meet this need there is one, even the Spirit of truth, who takes of the things of Jesus, and applies them to us.
Think not that Christ has placed His joys on heavenly shelves that we may climb up to them for ourselves, but He draws near, and sheds [freely applies] His peace abroad in our hearts. 0 Christian, if you are laboring under deep distresses tonight, your Father does not give you promises and then leave you to draw them up from the word like buckets [of water] from a well, but the promises He has written in the word He will write anew on your heart.
He will manifest His love to you and, by His blessed Spirit, dispel [send away] your cares and troubles. Be it known to you, 0 mourner, that it is God's prerogative to wipe every tear from the eye of His people.
The good Samaritan did not say, "Here is the wine, and here is the oil for you"; he actually poured in the oil and the wine. So Jesus not only gives you the sweet wine of the promise, but holds the golden chalice to your lips, and pours the life-blood into your mouth.
The poor, sick, way-worn [tired-out] pilgrim is not merely strengthened to walk, but he is borne [carried] on eagles' wings. Glorious [is] the gospel which provides every thing for the helpless, that draws nigh [near] to us when we cannot reach after it, that brings us grace before we seek for grace! Here is as much glory in the giving as in the gift.
Happy are people who have the Holy Ghost to bring Jesus to them.

A SINNER’S PRAYER
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus.
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and it’s hopeless for me to save myself. Without you and your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell.
I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion) and justifying my own behavior as "good" or "OK" can never be enough to save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You right now. Lord Jesus. Will You please save me. I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You have said and it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to you. Thank You.
I give myself completely to You, Lord Jesus. I’m sorry for every sin I’ve done and I now turn away from each one and look to You to forgive me, save me and deliver me from future evil. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross paying the punishment that I deserve. I’m a sinner by nature and by my actions. But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed for me at the cross.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was bor n and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.
Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly. But, because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus. You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who, gave up His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.
Thank You, righteous Father of love that you allowed Jesus to suffer and die raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
Thank you for saving me. I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart. Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth., Amen.”
Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, Comforter, Paraclete [one who comes along side] for the new life in Jesus and victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for the execution of this vow.
Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always bear witness of and exalt the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-11
With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Abide in me Lord Jesus in Your name I pray, Amen.
Please allow us to celebrate with you and with the angels in heaven your new birth. Write to:
