A SINNER’S PRAYER

 PRAYER 26,    Part  8 of  14  PRAYER ANSWERED AND UNANSWERED.
“God be merciful to me a sinner.”

Hear such as seem to themselves to be appointed unto death. Let the home when our view our view of the sighing of the prisoner come before Thee [You]! Oh! that Thou wouldst grant [Oh Lord please give]  peace and rest to every troubled spirit all over the world who now desires to turn his face to [toward] the cross and to see God in Christ Jesus. O Lord, if there are any of Thy servants exercised [irritated] about the cases of others we would thank Thee for them. Raise up in the Church many intercessors who shall plead for the prosperity of *Zion, and give Thee no rest till Thou [You] establish her and make her a joy in the land.  [Thank You for all these blessings in Your name Lord Jesus I pray, Amen.]

ANECDOTE  352:  God Speaking Through the Preacher.
         A City Missionary, when going round the West end of the town, met a poor man, of whom he asked this question : “Do you know Mr. Spurgeon?” He found him reading a sermon. “Yes,” he said, “I have every reason to know him; I have been to hear him, and under God’s grace I have become a new man.”  “But,” said he, “shall I tell you how it was?
         I went to the Music Hall, and took my seat in the middle of the place, and the man [Mr. Spurgeon] looked at me as if he knew me, and deliberately told the congregation that I was a shoemaker, and that I sold shoes on a Sunday; and I did, sir.   But, sir, I should not have minded that; but he said I took ninepence the Sunday before, and that there was fourpence profit; and so [so it was]. I did take ninepence, and fourpence was just [exactly] the profit, and how he should know that I’m sure I cannot tell.
         It struck me it was God had spoken to my soul through him; and I shut my shop last Sunday, and was afraid to open it and go there, lest he should split [talk] about me again.”
          I [Spurgeon] could tell as many as a dozen authentic stories of cases that have happened in this Hall, where I have deliberately pointed at somebody, without the slightest knowledge of the person, or ever having in the least degree any inkling or idea that what I said was right, except that I was moved thereto by the Spirit; and so striking has been the description, that the persons have gone away and said, “Come, see a man that told me all things that ever I did: he was sent of God to my soul, beyond a doubt, or else he could not have painted my case so clearly.”

PERFECT PURITY

         Warrior of the cross, fight on! Never rest till thy victory is complete, for thine [your]  eternal reward will prove worthy of a life of warfare.
      See, here is perfect purity for thee [you]!  A few in Sardis kept their garments undefiled, and their recompense [reward]  is to be spotless.  Perfect holiness is the prize of our high calling, let us not miss it.
      See, here is joy!  Thou shalt [You will] wear holiday robes, such as men put on at wedding feasts; thou shalt [you will] be clothed with gladness, and be made bright with rejoicing. Painful struggles shall end in peace of conscience, and joy in the Lord.        
       See,  here is victory!  Thou shalt [you will] have thy triumph [your victory]. Palm, and crown, and white robe shall be thy [your] guerdon [reward]; thou shalt [you will] be treated as a conqueror, and owned [acknowledged] as such by the Lord Himself.
      See, here is priestly array [ceremonial clothing]! Thou shalt [you will] stand before the Lord in such raiment [fine clothing] as the sons of Aaron wore; thou shalt offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and draw near unto the Lord with the incense of praise.
Who would not fight for a Lord who gives such large honors to the very least of His faithful servants? Who would not be clothed in a fool’s coat  [clown’s costume]  for
Christ’s sake, seeing He will robe us with glory?
 

Prayer: Thank You Father, for the provision of fine spotless, white clothing. Thank You for holiness, the prize of our high calling. Thank You for the joy, victory, crown and royal robes to those  who are perfectly holy in your sight because of the sacrifice Jesus made. Thank you for acknowledging me as a conqueror, an over-comer and winner as I accept this matchless gift of your sacrifice for my salvation now and forever more in Your name Lord Jesus and I offer thanks, Amen.

"Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. "—Exodus 14:13

THESE words contain God's command to the believer when he is reduced to great straits [trials] and brought into extraordinary difficulties. He cannot retreat; he cannot go forward; he is shut up on the right hand and on the left; what is he now to do? The Master's word to him is, "Stand still." It will be well for him if at such times he listens only to his Master's word, for other and evil advisers come with their suggestions. 
Despair whispers: "Lie down and die; give it all up." But God would have us put on a cheerful courage, and even in our worst times, rejoice in His love and faithfulness. 
Cowardice says: "Retreat; go back to the worldling's [worldly person’s] way of action; you cannot play the Christian's part, it is too difficult. Relinquish your principles."   But, however much Satan may urge this course upon you, you cannot follow it if you are a child of God. His divine fiat [authoritative decree] has bid you go from strength to strength, and so you shall, and neither death nor hell will turn you from your course. What, if for a while you are called to stand still, yet this is but to renew your strength for some greater advance in due time. 
Precipitancy [Hastiness] cries: "Do something. Stir yourself; to stand still and wait is sheer idleness." We must be doing something at once; we must do it or so we think, instead of looking to the Lord who will not only do something but will do everything. 
Presumption [impertinence] boasts: "If the sea be before you, march into it and expect a miracle."  But faith listens neither to presumption, nor to despair, nor to cowardice, nor to precipitancy, but it hears God say, "Stand still," and immovable as a rock it stands.  "Stand still:" keep the posture of an upright man ready for action, expecting further orders, cheerfully and patiently awaiting the directing voice, and it will not be long before God will say to you, as distinctly as Moses said it to the people of Israel, "Go forward. "

        CONSIDER, my soul, [mind, emotion and will] the mightiness-of the Lord who is your glory and defense. He is a man of war; Jehovah is His name. All the forces of heaven are at His call; legions [thousands] wait at His door; cherubim and seraphim [praise and warring angels respectivly], watchers [ancient sees, prophets] and holy ones, principalities and powers are all attentive to His will. If our eyes were not blinded by the ophthalmia [nearsightedness] of the flesh, we should see horses of fire and chariots of fire round about the Lord's beloved [true believers]. The powers of nature are all subject to the absolute control of the Creator:  stormy wind and tempest, lightning and rain, and snow, and hail, and the soft dews and cheering sunshine come and go at His decree [command]. The bands of Orion [the starry constellation of the Hunter] He looses, and binds the sweet influences of the Pleiades [the conspicuous cluster of  seven stars in Taurus [the constellation of the bull], with only six  visible, that represent the daughters of Atlas in Greek Mythology]  placed among the stars to save them from the pursuit of Orion. Earth, sea, and air, and the places under the earth are the barracks for Jehovah's great armies; space is His camping ground, light is His banner, and flame is His sword. When He goes forth to war, famine ravages the land, pestilence smites the nations, hurricane sweeps the sea, tornado shakes the mountains, and earthquake makes the solid world to tremble. As for animate creatures, they all own [are under] His dominion, and from the great fish which swallowed the prophet down to "all manner of flies"  that plagued the field of Zoan, [An important Egyptian city of great antiquity, almost as old as Hebron] all are His servants, and like the palmer-worm, the caterpillar, and the cankerworm are squadrons of His great army, for "His camp is very great." My soul, see to it that you are at peace with this mighty King, yea, more, be sure to enlist under His banner, for to war against Him is madness and to serve Him is glory. Jesus, Immanuel, God with us is ready to receive recruits for the army of the Lord: if I am not already enlisted let me go to Him before I sleep, and beg to be accepted through His merits; and if I am already, as I hope I am, a soldier of the cross, let me be of good courage; for the enemy is powerless compared with my Lord, whose camp is very great.

A SINNER’S PRAYER:   … FOR WHOSOEVER: [For One and all]

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved     … pray like this, won’t you?   

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am hopeless.  I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross for my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned to Hell. I have been  self-centered from birth.  Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m guilty and sorry for each and every sin I have done and look to You to forgive me of them all. 
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You,  Lord Jesus, right now to save me.  You died on the cross for me, because of my sin  and You say,  “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21.

Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me,  I trust You, to  be my Lord and Savior from now on.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins.  I ask You to abide in me and give me the desire to always follow You.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross.  Even the sins of the whole world.

Thank you,  Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me even before I was born and that You still love me now. I love You too.
 

Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting  in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. Romans  8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [Holy Ghost, Comforter, Spirit of Truth]
 

Thank You for saving me heavenly Father. With all my heart, thank you Father for saving me in Jesus’ name,  Amen.

Allow us to share the joy of your new birth with heaven. Won’t you? Heaven rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7

In defense of the Masoretic Hebrew of the Old Testament and the GreekTextus Receptus:
 

The Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not translated from the majority texts, [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.

Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the  Greek Textus Receptus.

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible  English Version  (KJV)  because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament  Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken  and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh).  These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on only 55 hand picked inferior Greek manuscripts fabricated from either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. Both of these Greek textual sources follow an assumption that OLDER IS BETTER. Of course, this assumption is not valid if the older manuscripts contain error.

The established majority manuscripts and the Textus Receptus avoid doctrinal error, and inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings which taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

Copyright: The King James Version is distinguished by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No one other than the Crown’s printer, is allowed print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

In the United States there is no Copyright protection and the KJV  is deemed Public Domain. If a new publication changes at least a 10% of an existing  publication a lucrative Copyright can be granted. Therefore  the NKJV and many other copyrighted translations. Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is translated from the superior Greek Textus Receptus as its Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek text Source.

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,

thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely  evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are  based on  defective Greek manuscript  created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.
