Now, as Thou hast bidden [have asked] us, we pray for the people among whom we dwell [live and work]. We pray for those in authority in the land, asking every blessing for the Sovereign [Great Britain’s Royal monarch], and Thy guidance and direction to the Parliament, Thy [Your] benediction to all judges and rulers as also upon the poorest of the poor and the lowest of the low. Lord, bless the people; let the people praise Thee, O God! yea, [yes] let all the people praise Thee, for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen and Amen.
We praise You and ask that You would fill us with streams of righteousness through Jesus Christ, Your incomparable, perfect, Holy gift.

ANECDOTE 311 June 7th : LED BY THE SPIRIT IN PRAYER.
I was speaking to a brother yesterday about a prayer which my Lord had remarkably answered in my own case, and I could not help saying to him,
“But I cannot always pray in that fashion. Not only can I not so pray, but I would not dare to do so, even if I could.”
Moved by the Spirit of God, we sometimes pray with a power of faith which can never fail at the mercy-seat; but without such an impulse we must not push our own wills to the front.
There are many occasions upon which, if one had all the faith which could move mountains, he would most wisely show it by saying nothing beyond,
“Nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt [will]”.
Had our Lord chosen to do so, he had still in reserve a prayer-power which would have effectually saved him from his enemies and the death on the cross.
He did not think it right so to use it; but he could have done so had he pleased. [had He wanted to]

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK June 7th THE SAFEST PLACE

We believe in the eternal security of the saints [believers]. First, because they are Christ’s, and He will never lose the sheep which He has bought with His blood, and received of His Father. Next, because He gives them eternal life, and if it be eternal, well then, it is eternal, and there can be no end to it, unless there can be an end to hell, and Heaven, and God.
If spiritual life can die out [be lost or come to an end], it is manifestly not eternal life, but temporary life. But the Lord speaks of eternal life, and that effectually shuts out the possibility of an end. Observe, further, that the Lord expressly says,
-They shall never perish.-
As long as words have a meaning, this secures believers from perishing. The most obstinate unbelief cannot force this meaning out of this sentence. Then, to make the matter complete, He declares that His people are in His hand, and He defies all their enemies to pluck them out of it. Surely it is a thing impossible even for the fiend of hell. We must be safe in the grasp of an Almighty Savior. Be it ours to [let us] dismiss carnal fear as well as carnal confidence, and rest peacefully in the hollow of the Redeemer s hand.
Prayer: Oh Lord, thank you for our eternal security. I trust that You will never loose any of Your sheep. Thank You for keeping me and all believers in the palm of Your hand. Thank You Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Remember, God holds each and every believer in His hand, forever.

MORNING June 7th "YE THAT LOVE THE LORD HATE EVIL " —Psalm 97:10 (see Spurgeon SERMON above)

YOU have good reason to "hate evil," for only consider what harm it has already brought you. Oh, what a world of mischief [evil] sin has brought into your heart! Sin blinded you so that you could not see the beauty of the Savior; it made you deaf so that you could not hear the Redeemer's tender invitations. Sin turned your feet into the way of death, and poured poison into the very fountain of your being; it tainted your heart, and made it
"deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked."
Oh, what a creature you were when evil had done its utmost with you, before divine grace interposed [came]! You were an heir [child] of wrath even as others; you did
"run with the multitude [crowd] to do evil."
Such were all of us; but Paul reminds us,
"but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified [holy and set apart], but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God,"
We have good reason, indeed, for hating evil when we look back and trace its deadly workings. Such mischief did evil do us, that our souls would have been lost had not omnipotent [almighty] love interfered to redeem [save] us. Even now it [evil] is an active enemy, ever watching to do us hurt, and to drag us to perdition. Therefore "hate evil," O Christians, unless you desire trouble. If you would strew your path with thorns [scatter thorns in your path], and plant nettles [pine needles] in your death-pillow, then neglect to "hate evil:" but if you would live a happy life, and die a peaceful death, then walk in all the ways of holiness, hating evil, even to the end.
If you truly love your Savior, and would honor Him, then "hate evil." We know of no cure for the love of evil in a Christian like abundant intercourse [constant fellowship] with the Lord Jesus. Dwell much with Him, and it is impossible for you to be at peace with sin.
Order my footsteps by Thy Word,
And make my heart sincere;
Let sin have no dominion, Lord,
But keep my conscience clear.

IF you would see souls converted [saved], if you would hear the cry that "the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord," if you would place crowns upon the head of the Savior and His throne lifted high, then be filled with zeal. [be whole-hearted] For, under God, the way of the world's conversion [salvation of the lost] must be by the zeal of the church. Every grace will do exploits, but this shall be first. Prudence, knowledge, patience, and courage will follow in their places, but zeal [holy boldness] must lead the vanguard [crusade].
It is not the extent of your knowledge, though that is useful; it is not the extent of your talent, though that is not to be despised; it is your zeal that will do great exploits. This zeal is the fruit of the Holy Spirit: it draws its vital force from the continued operations [presence] of the Holy Ghost in the soul.
If our inner life dwindles, if our heart beats slowly before God, we will not know zeal; but if all be strong and vigorous within, then we cannot but feel a loving anxiety to see the kingdom of Christ come, and His will done on earth, even as it is in heaven.
A deep sense of gratitude will nourish Christian zeal. Looking to the hole of the pit whence we were digged [from which we were formed], we find abundant reason why we should spend and be spent for God. And zeal is also stimulated by the thought of the eternal future. It [zeal] looks with tearful eyes down to the flames of hell, and it cannot slumber [sleep]: it [zeal] looks up with anxious [an eager] gaze to the glories of heaven, and it cannot but stir itself [rise and shine]. It feels that time is short compared with the work to be done, and therefore it [zeal] devotes all that it has to the cause of its Lord.
And it is ever strengthened by the
remembrance of Christ's example.
He was clothed with zeal as with a cloak [cape]. How swift the chariot wheels of duty went with Him! He knew no loitering [wasting of time] by the way.
Let us prove that we are His disciples by manifesting the same spirit of zeal.

Pray, calling on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this. Won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.
Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner. But, because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus. You took my place on the cross and provided the way for me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would atone for my sins.
Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free. You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven. Thank you, Father, for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.
The issue is not translational.
Marketing ploys by publishing companies with little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions are:

Easier to read.

More modern.

More accurate (Not true)
The truth is that the KJV remains The most popular. (is still the most popularly read Bible in America). Over five billion copies of the King James (1769) is greater than all the other versions and editions combined.
The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.
On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.
