DEVOTION written by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
PRAYER 22, June 16th Part 9 of 11 THE PRESENCE OF GOD
O, Jehovah, Thou art the true God, God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, this God is our God for ever and ever; He shall be our guide even unto death. Them who spakest [spoke] by the apostles speak still by Thy servants, and let Thy Word be with as much power as when Thou sadist [said it] ,
“Let there be light, and there was light.”
Oh! for the lifting up of Thy voice! Let confusion and darkness once again hear the voice of Him that makes order and that giveth [gives] life. Oh! how we would stir Thee up, Thou gracious God. Our prayers would take the form of that ancient one,
“Awake, awake, put on Thy strength.”
Art [are] Thou not He that cut Egypt and wounded the crocodile? Hast [have] Thou not still the same power to smite [strike] and to vindicate Thine own truth and deliver Thine own redeemed?
O Lamb, slain from before the foundation of the world, Thou art still to sit upon the throne, for He that is on the throne looks like a Lamb that has been newly slain. O Jesus, we beseech [implore] Thee take to Thyself Thy great power; divide the spoil [plunder] with the strong; take the purchase of Thy precious blood and rule from the river even unto the ends of the earth.
Here we are before Thee; look on us in great pity. Lord, bless Thine own people. With favor do Thou compass [please surround] them as with a shield.
Lord, save the unsaved.
In great compassion draw them by the attractive magnet of the cross, draw them to Thyself, compel them to come in that the wedding may be furnished with guests.
[I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 320: June 16th June 16th A FUTILE PRAYER.
It has been well observed by an old divine [Godly Man], that the man who pleads his own merit does not pray, but demands his due.
If I ask a man to pay me a debt, I am not a suppliant, but a plaintiff claiming my rights. The prayer of a man who thinks he is meritorious is like serving the Lord with a writ: it is not offering a request, it is issuing a demand. Merit in effect says,
“Pay me that thou owest [Pay me what you owe me]”.
Little, will such a man get of God.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK June 16th POSSESS NOT ONLY [Don’t just] PROFESS
by C.H. Spurgeon 1834 - 1892
-For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance- Matthew 13:12
-Porque a cualquiera que tiene, se le dara, y tendra mas- Mateo 13:12
When the Lord has given to a man much grace, He will give him more. A little faith is a nest egg; more faith will come to it. But then it must not be seeming [presumed] faith, but real and true. What a necessity is laid upon us to make sure work in religion and not to profess much, and possess nothing!
for one of these days the very profession will be taken from us, if that be all we have.
The threatening is as true as, the promise. Blessed be the Lord, it is His way when He has once made a beginning to go on bestowing the graces of His Spirit, till He who had but little, and yet truly had that little, is made to have abundance. Oh, for that abundance!
Abundance of grace is a thing to be coveted.
It would be well to know much, but better to love much. It would be delightful to have abundance of skill to serve God, but
better still to have abundance of faith to trust in the Lord for skill and everything [else].
Lord, since thou hast [have] given me a sense of sin,
deepen my hatred of evil.
Since thou hast [have] caused me to trust Jesus, raise my faith to full assurance.
Since thou hast [have] made me to love Thee, cause me to be carried away with vehement affection [fervent, faithful love] for Thee!
Prayer: Thank You Lord Jesus, for grace. It is well to have an abundance, but better still to love much. It is delightful to have an abundance of skill to serve You Lord, but better still to have abundance of faith to trust You Lord for everything. Lord, as thou have given me a sense of sin, deepen my hatred of evil.
Since thou have caused me to trust Jesus, raise my faith to a full and Blessed Assurance.
Since thou have made me to love Thee, cause me to be carried away with a passionate love for Thee! in Your name Lord Jesus, I pray, Amen.
MORNING June 16th
"AND I GIVE UNTO THEM ETERNAL LIFE, AND THEY SHALL NEVER PERISH."
-Yo les doy vida eterna; y no perecerán para siempre -Juan 10:28
THE Christian should never think or speak lightly of unbelief. For a child of God to mistrust His love, His truth, His faithfulness, must be greatly displeasing to Him. How can we ever grieve [disappoint] Him by doubting His upholding grace?
Christian, it is contrary to every promise of God's precious Word that you should ever be forgotten or left to perish. If it could be so, how could He be true who has said,
"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I never forget you."
What were the value of that promise
"The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on you"?
Where were the truth of Christ's words
"I give unto My sheep eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand"?
Where would the doctrines of grace be? They would be all disproved
if one child of God should perish.
Where would be the veracity [truth] of God, His honor, His power, His grace, His covenant, His oath, if any of those for whom Christ has died, and who have put their trust in Him, should nevertheless be cast away?
Banish [forbid forever] those unbelieving fears which so dishonor God. Arise, shake yourself from the dust, and put on your beautiful garments.
Remember it is sinful to doubt His Word wherein
He has promised you that you will never perish.
Let the eternal life within you express itself in confident rejoicing.
The gospel bears my spirit up:
A faithful and unchanging God
Lays the foundation for my hope,
In oaths, and promises, and blood.
EVENING June 16th "THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION; WHOM SHALL I FEAR?
The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" -Psalm 27:1
- JEHOVA es mi luz y mi salvación: ¿de quién temeré? Jehová es la fortaleza de mi vida: ¿de quién he de atemorizarme? -Salmos 27:1
THE Lord is my light and my salvation."
Here is personal interest,
"my light," "my salvation."
The soul is assured of it, and therefore declares it boldly. Divine light is poured into the soul at the new birth as the precursor [bringer] of salvation;
where there is not enough light to reveal our own darkness and to make us long for the Lord Jesus, there is no evidence of salvation.
After conversion [being born again] our God is our joy, comfort, guide, teacher, and in every sense, our light: He is light within, light around, light reflected from us, and light to be revealed to us. Note, it is not said that the Lord merely gives light, but that He is light; nor that He gives salvation, but that He is salvation; he, then, who by faith has laid hold on God has all covenant blessings in his possession. This being made sure as a fact, the argument drawn from it is put in the form of a question
"Whom shall I fear?"
a question which is its own answer.
The powers of darkness are not to be feared, for the Lord, our light, destroys them; and the damnation of hell is not to be dreaded by us, for the Lord is our salvation.
This is a very different challenge from that of boastful Goliath, for it rests, not on the conceited vigor of an arm of [physical] flesh, but
upon the real power of the omnipotent [all-powerful] "I am" [The name God gave to Moses for Himself]. Exodus 3:14].
"The Lord is the strength of my life."
Here is a third glowing epithet [Light, Salvation & Strength] , to show that the writer's hope was fastened with a threefold cord which could not be broken. We may well accumulate terms of praise where the Lord lavishes deeds of grace. Our life derives all its strength from God; and if He deigns [chooses] to make us strong, we cannot be weakened by all the machinations [futile falsehoods] of the adversary.
"Of whom shall I be afraid?" The bold question looks into the future as well as the present.
If God be for us, who can be against us, either now or in time to come?

STAND UP! BEWARE!
BC/AD versus BCE/CE Is there a difference? (Click to see)
Yes. And the difference has eternal consequences!
This is a heretical attempt to ignore the birth and life of Jesus Christ and thereby to write Him out of history. The use of a so-called neutral term “BCE” [Before Common Era] instead of the traditional and historically accurate term “BC” [Before Christ] that separates and defines all history by the birth of Jesus Christ 2026 years ago and replaces clearly understood words with nebulous and duplicitous terminology that make no mention of Him.
* “A.D.” Does not mean “after death” but is the Latin abbreviation Anno Domini [the year of our Lord].
The Lord Jesus Christ has existed from eternity past as the WORD of God. He was born of a virgin 2026 years ago [or present year] in Bethlehem of Judea, is alive today, and soon is coming to receive his betrothed [legally binding and promised] bride to consummate the marriage and celebrate the Wedding Feast with the Body of Christ; all the elect, the called and the redeemed Church .

This continuing attempt to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible do not prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His Holy Scripture from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion and error.
Note: The New King James Version does NOT follow the text of the Textus Receptus, but. JESUS CHRIST, THE MESSIAH, IS RISEN INDEED! HE IS ALIVE FOREVERMORE! Resurrection Romans 6:3-5
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
EASTER [Resurrection Sunday] IS NEVER OVER BECAUSE…
Jesus says:John 11:25 -26
“I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die. Believest thou this?”
2 Timothy 2:8-26
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my [The apostle Paul’s] gospel.
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth [abides] faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth [needs] not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity [sin] .
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth [pottery] ; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet [perfectly matched] for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure [perhaps] will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Love Not The World 1 John 2:15 Dr. Peter Masters, Pastor
In three famous verses, John shows that love for the world cannot coexist with love for God, then defines worldliness, shows its offensiveness to God, and describes how it passes away to judgement before our eyes. What believers do, however, lasts forever.

A SINNER’S PRAYER
Whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray, calling on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this. Won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.
Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner. But, because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus. You took my place on the cross and provided the way for me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would atone for my sins.
Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free. You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven. Thank you, Father, for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Romans 6:11 Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always give witness to and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 16:8-11With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Live Your life in me, Lord Jesus, in Your name I pray, Amen.
Please allow us to share in the joy of your having received the new birth with you and the heavenly angels in Heaven as they rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn’t confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Therefore: I confess [declare and avow] that “Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh.”

Daniel Webster [Author of the Famous Webster Dictionary] was once asked. “Does it not bother you [Mr. Webster] to believe in the Trinity since you cannot explain it?
His answer was, “What would bother me would be to have a God so small that I could fully explain HIM.”

[The CHURCH] is HIS espoused [Legally Bound] Bride, for whom HE will come again to consummate their Marriage in the Marriag and Protected Words of GOD.
These WORDS are God-Breathed, [Spoken] Eternal WORDS spoken by Almighty GOD. The same GOD who calls Himself “I AM”, is Omni-Lingual, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Immutable, All-Wise, Omnipresent, Eternally and Supremely Holy. He is the One-and-Only Triune, Three-in-One GOD.

The Traditional Text: It's History & Manifestation
By Dr. David Sorenson
In addition to evidence of authenticity from the 5,321 Majority Text manuscripts, this link presents Translational Evidence that the Traditional Text is Inerrant, Infallible and is the Inspired [Word-by-Word, GOD-Breathed Greek Text that moved the Prophets and Apostles to write precisely the Greek and Hebrew words they were told to write by the Holy Ghost]
The Traditional Text. Length: (33:56 minutes)
The Traditional Greek Text was printed by Desiderius Erasmus and was used in the FIRST Christian Church at Antioch. It was later called The Received Text [vis. Latin: The Textus Receptus TR].
Over Five Billion King James Bibles, the 1769 Edition [NOT the NEW King James Bibles based on the inferior Critical Greek Text] account for more sales world-wide than any other version or edition of the Holy Bible.
This is more than all other Bible Versions and Editions Combined.

By Dr. David Sorenson
So, Dr. Sorenson, “I hear You are King James Only.”
No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.
The issue is not translational.
Marketing ploys by publishing companies with little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions are:
-
Easier to read.
-
More modern.
-
More accurate (Not true)
The truth is that the KJV remains The most popular. (is still the most popularly read Bible in America). Over five billion copies of the King James (1769) is greater than all the other versions and editions combined.
The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.
On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn't confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Therefore: I confess [declare and avow] that "Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh."

Jesus Christ has always existed as the WORD of God. John 1:1-2
He was born of a virgin 2,021 years ago in Bethlehem,
is alive today, and is coming soon for His bride; the Church

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Caution: We practice assembling together in-person. This website does not replace nor can it substitute for the assembling of ourselves together with others to exhort one another in the WORD and to provoke one another unto love and good works . Hebrews 10:23-27
We desire that this website encourage believers in personal devotions and worship as we are conformed to Christ’s image.
"For whom God did foreknow he did also predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son." Romans 8:29
An in-person assembly of believers, gathered to praise and worship the Lord Jesus Christ should never be supplanted or replaced. Such gathering to worship may come through the Hearing and heeding of Gospel preaching, congregational singing of sacred hymns, the reading of God’s Word, sharing Christian fellowship, public prayer, and also be where assembled believers can consider and exhort one another in the Word, and provoke one another to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Virtual digital communication can never replace the assembling of ourselves together because it doesn’t allow for personal or emotional interaction, an investment in the spiritual welfare and growth of others, nor a commitment of personal or vulnerability, and cannot replace the comfort of a human touch. e.g. Laying on of hands, the right hand of fellowship, a holy kiss etc.

Note: The New King James Version NKJV and all versions that are NOT translated from the Textus Receptus [Received Text] are inferior to the translations of the 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV and the Geneva Bible. Only these two translations have remained faithful to the traditional Textus Receptus.
Only the Textus Receptus [Received Text] is sustained by more than 5,321 Majority Greek Text MT Manuscripts and stand in agreement with one another 99% . ALL OTHER readings have as their primary Greek source either Westcott and Hort’s or Nestle and Aland’s, Greek Texts fabricated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts and lack the trustworthiness produced in the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV and the Geneva Bibles; the only two translated from the reliable, inspired and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

The Bridge to Babylon video presents historical evidence that accounts for the explosion of over 100 different English version translations of the Bible. The continuing attempts to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible can not prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His inspired Holy Words
from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion , error additions, subtractions and changes.

Is the website DAILYSPURGEON trustworthy?
Is it of God?
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
I hereby confess that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh.
[All translations of the Bible that use a Greek text other than the traditional and reliable Textus Receptus ignore the word “ictin” (the Greek word that means “is” in English). This omission causes “is here” to change its meaning from “is come” [is here] to “has come”.
This error is self-evident as non-believers, false prophets and even heretics can, and frequently do, declare that He “has come” [in the flesh.
While this is a true statement when taken at face value, the meaning “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; the valid test to discern between the Spirit of God and the spirit of antichrist.
The most well documented fact in all of recorded human history is that Jesus Christ [Messiah] “has come” in the flesh. The essential question, however, is not whether the spirit [words or person] being tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether Jesus Christ, “is here”, [present tense] (NOW) from God, in the flesh.
30 for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Compare, here, scripture with scripture: “I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here, of the body of Christ].

THE MUSIC OF PRAISE
[May] The Lord pour out His Spirit upon us [so] that every chamber [room] of our nature may be sweetened and perfumed with the indwelling of God, till our imagination shall only delight in things chaste and pure [immaculate with no sexual nature or intention]; till our memory shall cast out [throw away] the vile stuff from the dark chambers; [rooms] till we shall expect and long for [earnestly desire] heavenly things, and our treasure shall all be in heaven and our heart be there.
Take our highest [best] manhood Lord, and saturate it in Thy love, till like Gideon’s fleece it is filled with dew, every lock and every single fleck of it, not a single portion of it left un-moistened by the dew from heaven.
How we do bless Thee for many that are striving to walk as Christ walked, and who are also trying to bring others to Christ. O Lord, help us in this struggle after holiness and usefulness; and as Thou hast [have] given to many the desire of their hearts in this respect up to a certain measure; now enlarge-their hearts, and give them more, both of holiness and usefulness.
Oh! give us to [let us] be like trees planted by the rivers of water, that we ourselves may be vigorous, and then give us to [let us] bring forth abundant fruit according to our season, to the praise and glory of God.
[In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ] Amen. (Complete Prayer attached: PRAYER 10.doc)
ANECDOTE 57: September 27th Christ’s Joy in Soul-Saving.
Some of you have been salmon fishing in the rivers of Scotland; you have fished on and on until you have hooked a huge fish, and by the time you have landed him, on taking out [looking at] your watch, you discover that it is long past your dinner hour, and you are surprised that you had not noticed that you were almost faint. Your excitement kept you going: only when it was over did you begin to hunger.
Thus the Master [The Lord Jesus] was so taken up with soul-saving that he had “meat to eat that others knew not of. “ John 4:32

-Tu pues alumbrarás mi lampara- Salmos 18:28
It may be that my soul sits in darkness; and if this be of a spiritual kind, no human power can bring me light.
Blessed be God! He can enlighten my darkness, and at once light my candle. Even though I may be surrounded by a -darkness which might be felt,- yet He can break the gloom, and immediately make it bright around me.
The mercy is, that if He lights the candle none can blow it out, neither will it go out for lack of substance, nor burn out of itself through the lapse of hours [it will not burn itself out no matter how long it burns]. The lights which the Lord kindled in the beginning are still shining. The Lord’s lamps may need trimming, [the wicks adjusted] but He does not put them out. Let me, then, like the nightingale, sing in the dark. Expectation shall furnish me with music, and hope shall pitch [give me the note for] the tune.
Soon I shall rejoice in a candle of God’s lighting. I am dull and dreary just now. Perhaps it is the weather, or bodily weakness, or the surprise of a sudden trouble; but whatever has made the darkness, it is God alone who will bring the light. My eyes are unto [for] Him alone. I shall soon have the candles of the Lord shining about me; and, further on in His own good time, I shall be where they need no candle, neither light of the sun.
Hallelujah!
Prayer: Thank you Lord that You light my candle and will keep it lit. Give me eyes for You only as I look to You to eternally save and keep me, in Your name, Lord Jesus, I pray, Amen.

… and pray for souls to be saved and believers strengthened.
The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Pray also that believers will be led by the Holy Spirit to rightly divide God’s eternal Word providentially protected and preserved by God, Himself.
John 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [supernaturally fathered] Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but may be having eternal life.
The Textus Receptus [Received Text] (The overwhelming majority of the 5,312 extant New Testament Greek manuscripts not corrupted by codices Sinaiticus and Vaticanus and rely on only 55 hand-picked manuscripts that do not agree in many places with each another and present ambiguity, uncertainty and nuances that diminish the divine glory and honor that should always be given to God the Father, God, the Son and God, the Holy Ghost.
The multitude of over 100 “new” editions of the Bible are man’s attempts to improve upon God’s Word by introducing variant readings of the Scriptures. These often contain additions of denominational doctrine to bolster unscriptural or sectarian teaching of a particular sect or Denomination.

“Happy art thou, O Israel; who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord!”Deuteronomy 33:29
Bienaventurado tú, oh Israel, ¿Quién como tú, Pueblo salvo por Jehova —Deuteronomio 33
HE who affirms that Christianity makes men miserable, is himself an utter stranger to it. It were [would be] strange indeed, if it made us wretched, for see what a position it exalts us to!
It makes us sons of God. Suppose you [Do you suppose] that God will give all the happiness to His enemies, and reserve all the mourning for His own family? Shall His foes have mirth [laughter] and joy, and shall His home-born children inherit sorrow and wretchedness? Shall the sinner, who has no part in Christ, call himself rich in happiness, and shall we go mourning as if we were penniless beggars?
No, we will rejoice in the Lord always, and glory in our inheritance, for we "have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but we have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, [Daddy] Father." The rod of chastisement [the Lord’s righteous discipline] must rest upon us in our measure, but it worketh [works] for us the comfortable fruits of righteousness; and therefore, by the aid of the divine Comforter, we, the "people saved of the Lord," will joy in the God of our salvation.
We are married unto Christ; and shall our great Bridegroom permit His spouse to linger in constant grief? Our hearts are knit unto Him: we are His members, [body] and though for awhile we may suffer as our Head [The Lord Jesus] once suffered, yet we are even now blessed with heavenly blessings in Him. We have the earnest [good faith down payment] of our inheritance in the comforts of the Spirit, which are neither few nor small. Heritors [Heirs] of joy for ever, we have foretastes of our portion. There are streaks of the light of joy to herald our eternal sun-rising. Our riches are beyond the sea; our city with firm foundations lies on the other side [of] the river; gleams of glory from the spirit-world cheer our hearts, and urge us onward. Truly is it said of us,
"Happy art thou, O Israel; who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord?"
Sing: Rejoice In The Lord Always by Divine Hymns

EVENING September 27th
“My Beloved put in his hand by the hole [on the latch] of the door, and my bowels [heart] were moved for him.” Song of Solomon 5:4
Mi amado metió su mano por el agujero, Y mis entrañas [Corazon] se conmovieron dentro de mí.
— Cantares 5:4
Knocking was not enough, for my heart was too full of sleep, too cold and ungrateful to arise and open the door, but the touch of his effectual grace has made my soul bestir itself [wake up]. Oh, the longsuffering of my Beloved, to tarry [wait] when he found himself shut out, and me asleep upon the bed of sloth [laziness]! Oh, the greatness of his patience, to knock and knock again, and to add His voice to his knockings, beseeching [fervently asking] me to open to Him! How could I have refused him!
Base [Wicked] heart, blush and be confounded! But what greatest kindness of all is this, that he becomes his own porter [doorman] and unbars the door Himself. Thrice blessed is the hand which condescends to lift the latch and turn the key. Now I see that nothing but my Lord’s own power can save such a naughty mass of wickedness as I am; ordinances fail, even the gospel has no effect upon me,
untill His hand is stretched out [for me].
Now, also, I perceive [see] that His hand is good [successful] where all else is unsuccessful, He can open when nothing else will. Blessed be His name, I feel his gracious presence even now. Well may my bowels move [heart be touched] for him, when I think of all that He has suffered for me, and of my ungenerous return [ungrateful response].
I have allowed my affections to wander. I have set up rivals. I have grieved Him. Sweetest and dearest of all beloveds, I have treated Thee as an unfaithful wife treats her husband. Oh, my cruel sins, my cruel self! What can I do? Tears are a poor show of my repentance, my whole heart boils with indignation [sorrow] at myself.
O, wretch that I am, to treat my Lord, my All in All, my exceeding great joy, as though he were a stranger. Jesus, thou forgivest [forgive] freely, but this is not enough, prevent my unfaithfulness in the future. Kiss away these tears, and then purge [clean] my heart and bind it with sevenfold cords to thyself, never to wander more again.
[In Jesus name I pray, Amen.]
A SINNER’S PRAYER:
MISSION STATEMENT
Our solemn aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus in everything. This relies completely upon God to achieve His purpose for us through His means. We purpose, with God’s empowerment and help, to save the lost, comfort, strengthen and encourage believers, and rightly divide God’s Word to proclaim the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to every creature.
The Holy Bible is God’s eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable revealed and divinely preserved Word. It is His supernatural, complete scripture of all revealed truth. He brings guidance through it to us personally and to each local body of Christian believers. With God’s empowerment, we will read, study, meditate-on, trust-in and obey God’s Holy Bible and encourage others to do the same. We hold it to be the supreme authority and the preeminent and divinely established Stare Decisis [Latin: to stand by that which is decided, the legal principle of precedence, literally "to stand by decided matters"] in all things.
Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. And, to serve all, in love, especially those in the household of faith. We are compelled by this purpose to follow, and rightly proclaim, God’s Holy Word, the Bible as God’s divinely preserved truth and the foundational authority of this ministry.
The Metropolitan Tabernacle:
The inspired preaching, teaching, soul winning and writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon were solely based, empowered and inspired by God’s Holy Word the Bible. His written sermons and devotional messages continue to benefit today’s readers through authentic Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. His ministry continues to flourish from the original (Spurgeon’s) Metropolitan Tabernacle a church congregation began in 1650. The present building was constructed in 1861 and rebuilt after the destruction during the second world war.
Mission Aim: Spurgeon's sermons and devotional messages have edified the church body and have been a great benefit, to all readers for many years. We pray they will be useful to strengthen personal discipleship in every believer and to spread the Gospel [Good news] of Jesus Christ, the Messiah to every person.
The Gospel in essence:
-
God is infinitively Holy and good. (He is the God of all grace. He is not willing that any should perish)
-
Man is bad. (Totally depraved and lost)
-
God made provision (Through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ to save each lost one who will come) Whosoever will [whoever wants to] may come means you. After you come, you will see that you were saved before the foundation of the world)
Daily Calendar (top, right) on the Home page of DailySpurgeon.com for daily worship through preaching. prayer, scripture reading, meditation and the singing of sacred songs. Unabridged fidelity to all of Spurgeon’s original text and calendar is carefully guarded.

These Spurgeon publications are from his unmatched legacy of Gospel preaching and written Biblical exegeses. His preaching was heard by multiple thousands in the 1800’s and he continues to be widely read and often quoted today.
Soul Winning will continue to be the most important goal of this ministry. Charles Spurgeon is the beloved venerable former-pastor of the Metropolitan Tabernacle Click/Tap to live-stream the preaching service each Sunday (3:00 am Pacific Time) with Dr. Peter Masters, Metropolitan Tabernacle pastor since 1960 in London still thriving today.
Gospel Preaching and Worship must be uncompromised by worldly instrumentalities and adhere to Reformed Baptist theology.
Prayer: Dear Lord, use any and all means you choose to save souls. Empower us to serve and minister to the lost and those in need, especially those in the household of faith. Revive, encourage, strengthen, and edify us to follow you. Help us to share You, your lovingkindness, and the Gospel of your salvation. May we be fervent in our faith and fast according to your will and may your church thrive in soul winning, and in all things as we follow You.
We offer ourselves with gratitude for your sacrifice at calvary, given to provide eternal salvation for all who believe. Accept our thanks for these and all other blessing we humbly ask in your name, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not solicit the praise of Charles H. Spurgeon or his writing or preaching. He didn’t need it or want it then and wouldn’t want it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach HIM only and Him crucified.
Precaution: These Messages and prayers can not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus. Neither do they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word or the gathering together with the body of local believers.
The Authorized King James Bible (AKJV), known also as the Authorized Version (AV), is the preferred English Bible because its accuracy and fidelity [faithfulness] to the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] and the Hebrew Masoretic Text) has no doctrinal error, ungrounded nuances, editorial notes or unsupportable readings translated from other codices. It is distinguished further by the requirement of Great Britain that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. By order of the Crown, no other printing of a King James Bible may be imported into or copied in Great Britain.
Printed Prayer: The printed prayer should not substitute for personal, fervent, effectual, heart-felt, prayer. It is, rather, to warm the hearts of those presently seeking a season of fervent, authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Revelation from God during prayer is never in conflict with His revealed Word, the Bible.
Preaching Preparation: If you would like to review a Spurgeon sermon parallel to biblical texts you may be preparing to teach or preach, please let us know the scripture reference and topic. We will research and send you a selection with the same scripture reference or the most closely related topic from Spurgeon’s work. It is our joy to make this available asking only that you give proper authorship credit. [Honor to whom honor is due…] Thank you.
My Prayer: Dear Father, please touch, lift up, encourage and teach all who read this. Bless all who minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May Your blessing and holy anointing fall fresh and continually upon each one who rightly divides and proclaims Your Word. Please save many souls; all glory to You. I pray this in the name of our only Redeemer, The Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

A SINNER’S PRAYER (FOR WHOSOEVER):
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … won’t you?
(Pray like this)
“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner hopeless without You. I would never be able to save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned in Hell. By nature and practice I am a natural-born sinner. I’m totally depraved and I sin because I am a sinner. Please forgive me.0
I realize that doing my best or being as good as possible, or being better than other people or having good excuses can never save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me and I call on You right now to save me. You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin. Your Word says, “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21. Thank You, Lord.
Right now, Lord Jesus, I come to You, just as I am. I’m trusting You to forgive me and save me. I look to you as my Lord and Savior.
Please forgive me of all my sins. I’m sorry for each one. Without You, I am lost. Thank you, Lord, for saving me. You paid the price, in full, for all of my sins and the sins of the whole world once for all by suffering and dying on the cross.
Thank You that You loved me and died for me.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for saving me. Thank You that You brought me to see Your love for me and that the wages of sin is death but eternal life is mine through the Lord Jesus Christ who suffered and died as the sacrifice Lamb of God.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead victorious over sin, death and the grave and that in Him I am now eternally born again.
I believe that You have saved me and will guide, comfort and instruct me by the Holy Spirit into all truth and that You will be conform me to the image of Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior and Lord.
In His name I pray, Amen.
Please allow us to celebrate your new birth with you and the angels in heaven. They rejoice in the redemption of each sinner who comes to the Lord Jesus. Write us, won’t you?

Our desire is for “Fruit that may abound to your account.”
"For even in [the] Thessaloni'ca [jail] ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. Philippians 4:17. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received the things which were sent from you, a sweet fragrance, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. …[therefore] I know that my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:17-19.
Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. All the saints salute you,
Chiefly they that are of *Caesar’s household. ]. “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
be with you all. Amen” Philippians 4:20-23
* Not only were new converts won to Christ in Caesar's household, but after their conversion they remained to serve in that household.
They did not abandon their post of duty because their surroundings were no longer congenial [comfortable]. [They were now out of their comfort zone.] The truth had found them there, and there they would remain, and by their changed life and character testify of the transforming power of their faith and new life in Jesus Christ.
May fruit indeed abound to your account. May God supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus according to His Word in Jesus name, Amen.

SACRED LITERATURE:
THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS by John Bunyan is the most famous Allegory, world-wide and the Most widely Published Book of all time and was printed in over 200 Languages. It has NEVER, since 1698, been out-of-print.
Only The King James Bible has been more widely published than The Pilgrim’s Progress.
ONLINE PRINT LIBRARY: (No Enrollment Fee or Registration required)
BUNYAN’S ORIGINAL of 1678: The Pilgrim’s Progress Published in 1853 by Logos
REVISED VERSION: The Pilgrim’s Progrefs [sic] 1999 by Barry E. Horner
OLD ENGLISH PRINT: The Pilgrim’s Progress Part II AKA Christiana
(Christian’s wife, Christiana and children; their dangerous journey, and safe arrival at the desired country.)
Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were loved and read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible. It’s also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.
Comment on Pilgrim’s Progress by Charles H. Spurgeon from the Spurgeon Sermon
“Christ in You”.
Spurgeon: Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah; our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.
Spurgeon Sermon: Christ in You, Preached May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27 From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29 (cit. II. THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, § 5)
You may choose to read, listen or share Pilgrim’s Progress with your little ones as a bed time story. It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims of all ages and will create precious and enduring memories in little ears.
Spurgeon read it for the first time as a precocious five year old reader and would returned to read it over 100 times during the course of his remarkable ministry as a Baptist pastor who is known as The Prince of Preachers .

DEVOTION for September 27th *A.D. 2024
Written and calendared by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
*A.D. Does NOT mean after death as is commonly believed. It is a Latin abbreviation
for anno Domani (It means “Year of our Lord” in English)
BC/AD versus BCE/CE What’s the difference?
Defend the Truth. Won’t you?
The Lord Jesus, who is God in human flesh, was born of a virgin 2024 years ago,
He lives today and will live forevermore and He’s coming soon,

DEVOTION for SEPTEMBER 27 written and calendared by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
1834 – 1892
PRAYER 10, Part 7 of 9
THE MUSIC OF PRAISE
(Attachment: PRAYER 10.doc)
ANECDOTE 57: Christ’s Joy in Soul-Saving.
“ John 4:32
Sing Along, won’t you? This Little Light of Mine
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK September 27
THE DIVINE LIGHT IN DARKNESS
-For thou wilt [will] light my candle- Psalm 18:28
MORNING: “Happy art thou, O Israel; who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord!”
Deuteronomy 33:29
MORNING: “Happy art thou, O Israel; who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord!”
Deuteronomy 33:29
EVENING: “My Beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door[on the door knob], and my bowels6 were [heart was] moved for him.” Song of Solomon 5:4

Textus Receptus [Received Text] (The overwhelming majority of the 5,312 extant New Testament Greek manuscripts that are not corrupted by codices Sinaiticus and Vaticanus which rely on only 55 hand-picked manuscripts that do not agree in many places with each another and present ambiguity, uncertainty and nuances that diminish the divine glory and honor that should always be given to God the Father, God, the Son and God, the Holy Ghost.
The multitude of over 100 “new” editions of the Bible are man’s attempts to improve upon God’s Word by introducing unsettled meanings of variant readings of the Scriptures. These often contain additions of doctrines that bolster unscriptural sectarian teaching of a particular religious sect or Denomination.
For ever, O Lord, thy [YOUR] word is settled in Heaven. Psalm 119:89
MORNING September 27
Sing: Rejoice In The Lord Always by Divine Hymns
Sing: Oh Happy Day by Ashley Wai'olu Moore
EVENING September 27
Now I see that nothing but my Lord’s own power can save such a naughty mass of wickedness as I am; ordinances fail, even the gospel has no effect upon me,
till His hand is stretched out [for me].
Tears are a poor show of my repentance, my whole heart boils [breaks] with indignation [sorrow] at myself.

A SINNER’S PRAYER
Whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this.
Amen.
Romans 6:11
Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always give witness to and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 16:8-11
With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Live Your life in me, Lord Jesus, in Your name I pray, Amen.

This purpose compels us to follow, and rightly present, God’s Holy Word, the Bible as God’s divinely preserved truth; the foundation of this ministry.
Tabernacle History:
The inspired preaching, teaching, soul winning and writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon were solely based, empowered and inspired by God’s Holy Word the Bible. His written sermons and devotional content continue to benefit today’s readers with authentic Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. His ministry continues to flourish from the original (Spurgeon’s) Metropolitan Tabernacle, a church fellowship began in 1650 with the present building constructed by members of the congregation in 1861 and rebuilt after the second world war..
Spurgeon's written materials are for the edification of the church body as well as a great benefit, blessing and challenge to all readers. Our desire is that the written Word of God will become the Living Word in each and every reader. To this end, a calendar is indexed (top, right) on the Home page of DailySpurgeon.com for daily study, meditation and prayer. An unabridged and strictly maintained fidelity to Spurgeon’s original calendar and unabridged text is carefully guarded.

God has preserved His Word in The Masoretic Hebrew of the Old Testament and the GreekTextus Receptus of the New Testament:
In contrast, the Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not translated from the over 5,312 Majority Text Greek manuscripts, that became the Textus Receptus [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.
Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus.
Psalm 119:89-90
89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:
thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]
God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

Our Prayer: Dear Lord, empower your ministry to win many souls, and serve those in need, especially those in the household of faith, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not solicit praise of Charles H. Spurgeon or his writing or preaching. He didn’t need or want it then and wouldn’t desire it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach Christ Jesus only and him crucified.
Precaution: These Messages and prayers will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus or for gathering in in-person worship. Neither will they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word imparted by the Holy Spirit.
The Authorized King James Version (AKJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV), is the authentic English Bible because it is rendered [translated into English] accurately and faithfully from the established majority of the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (The Jewish Tanakh) These manuscripts are providentially protected of God, and always give a greater glory to God when compared to variant readings. The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.
The Authorized King James version is unique also in that the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, The Crown’s Authorized Printer. No other [person or publisher] may print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.
Printed Prayer: Printed prayers must not be read or offered as a substitute for personal, fervent, effectual, heart-felt, prayer. They are offered, rather, to warm the hearts of those who will presently seek a season of fervent, authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Authentic revelations from God during prayer are always consistent with His revealed Word, the Bible.
Preaching Preparation: When preparing to preach, please send us the text reference that has been chosen if you would like us to send the Spurgeon Sermon addressing the same text.
My Prayer is that You would touch, lift up, encourage and teach all who faithfully minister your Word. Bless all who minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May Your blessing and holy anointing fall fresh upon each dear reader and abide with each one who rightly divides and faithfully proclaims Your Word [The Bible]. Please save many souls; and may all be glory be yours alone. I pray this in the name of our Redeemer, The Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Our aim, with God’s help, is to be Christlike in all that we think, do and say. We desire to fulfill the Great Commission by taking the GOOD NEWS of Salvation by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ [The Messiah] to every creature, and to make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
Published Titles written by Spurgeon are included each day in DailySpurgeon.com
Devotions are:
· C.H. Spurgeon Prayers
· Spurgeon’s Illustrative Anecdotes
· Faith’s Checkbook
· Morning & Evening
These titles are from the inspired body of work created from the preaching and writing of Charles Haddon Spurgeon 1834-1892. He created an unexcelled legacy of gospel preaching and exposition and is known as the “Prince of Preachers”. Spurgeon has been and is today widely read with great benefit from the 1800’s to this present time. He is the beloved founder of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, England (Thriving TODAY through the faithful preaching of the Gospel and the Sacred Worship of Jesus the Christ [Messiah].)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, please be blessed by the winning of many souls, and give us love and compassion toward all who are in need, especially those in the household of faith. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His sake, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not praise or exalt Charles H. Spurgeon beyond the honor due him. He didn’t need or want it when he was here on earth and has no need for it now, in Heaven. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach HIM and Him crucified.
Precaution: These Devotional Messages and prayers alone can not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus. Neither do they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word. (The King James version (KJV), also known also as the Authorized Version (AKJV), is the preferred English Bible because its accuracy and fidelity to the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] and the Hebrew Masoretic Text) avoid doctrinal and editorial weakness found in many contemporary editions.
Written Prayers by Spurgeon must not be offered as a substitute for personal, intimate fervent, heart-felt, prayer. They are rather intended to warm the hearts of those who are seeking a season of authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit.

How Mosaic Worship Foretold Christ
'Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all.'

The Authorized King James Bible
URL: https://www.biblegateway.com/versions/King-James-Version-KJV-Bible/
The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible English Version (KJV) because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on only 55 hand picked inferior Greek manuscripts fabricated from either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. Both of these Greek textual sources follow an assumption that OLDER IS BETTER. Of course, this assumption is not valid if the older manuscripts contain error.
The established majority manuscripts and the Textus Receptus avoid doctrinal error, and inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings which taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.
Copyright: The King James Version is distinguished by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No one other than the Crown’s printer, is allowed print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.
In the United States there is no Copyright protection and the KJV is deemed Public Domain. If a new publication changes at least a 10% of an existing publication a lucrative Copyright can be granted. Therefore the NKJV and many other copyrighted translations. Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is translated from the superior Greek Textus Receptus as its Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek text Source.

This video presents the truth for those who seek to learn about and use the providentially protected, preserved and immutable Holy Bible that is both inerrant [without error] and infallible and gives God alone, the utmost praise, and the greatest glory due to HIMSELF. Praise and worship are rightfully insisted upon and commanded in God’s inspired [God-Breathed (Spoken) Word from God himself.
HOLY WORDS that were given by God through the Holy Ghost, word by word, to His Holy Prophets and Apostles comprise all eternal Holy Scripture. (Matthew 5:18)

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:
* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above
The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are based on defective Greek manuscript created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.
Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson for us all:
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).
