PRAYER 21, June 4th Part 5 of 8 BOLDNESS AT THE THRONE OF GRACE
Move men who have gifts and ability also to preach the Gospel. There are many that live in villages, and there is no gospel preaching near them. Lord! set them to preaching themselves.
Wilt Thou [Will You] move some hearts so powerfully that their tongues cannot be quiet any longer, and may they attempt in some way, either personally or by supporting someone, to bring the gospel into dark benighted hamlets [neighborhoods] that the people may know the truth. [We praise You and thank you for the unspeakable gift of salvation and for the high calling to serve You by proclaiming the gospel, Lord Jesus, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 302: A POOR WOMAN’S THRONE
I had an engraving [picture] sent to me the other day which pleased me beyond measure. It was an engraving simply but exquisitely executed. It represented a poor girl in an upper room, with a lean-to roof. There was a post driven in the ground, on which was a piece of wood, standing on which were a candle and a Bible. She was on her knees at a chair, praying, wrestling with God.
Everything in the room had on it the stamp of poverty. There was the mean [plain and rough] coverlet [bed spread] to the old stump bedstead; [bed frame] there were the walls that had never been papered, and perhaps scarcely whitewashed. It was an upper story to which she had climbed with aching knees, and where, perhaps, she had worked away till her fingers were worn to the bone, to earn her bread at needle-work. There it was that she was wrestling with God. Some would turn away and laugh at it; but it appeals to the best feelings of man, and moves the heart far more than does the fine engraving of the monarch [royals] on their knees in the grand assembly.

A day is coming in which the crown jewels of our great King shall be counted, that it may be seen whether they answer to the inventory which His Father gave Him. My soul, [Oh, my goodness] wilt thou [will you] be among the precious things of Jesus? Thou art [You are] precious to Him if He is precious to thee, [you] and thou shalt [you shall] be His -in that day- if He is thine in this day.
In the days of Malachi, the chosen of the Lord were accustomed so to converse with each other that their God Himself listened to their talk. He liked it so well that He took notes of it; yes, and made a book of it, [the book of Malachi] which he lodged [archived] in His Record Office [The Holy Bible]. Pleased with their conversation, He was also pleased with them.
Pause, my soul, [listen, my heart] and ask thyself: If Jesus were to listen to thy [your] talk would He be pleased with it? Is it to His glory and to the edification of the brotherhood? Say, my soul, and be sure thou sayest [say] the truth. But what will the [great] honor be for us poor creatures to be reckoned by the Lord to be His crown jewels!
This honor have all the saints. Jesus not only says,
-They are mine- but, -They shall be mine-
He bought us, sought us, brought us in, and has so far wrought us to [made us into] His image, that we shall be fought for by Him with all His might.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, we find joy in realizing how precious Your redeemed are to You. May our conversation always please you, as well. Lord. I pray this in Your name, Lord Jesus, Amen.
MORNING June 4th "THE KINDNESS AND LOVE OF GOD OUR SAVIOR." —Titus 3:4

HOW sweet it is to behold the Savior communing with His own beloved people! There can be nothing more delightful than to be led by the Divine Spirit into this fertile field of delight.
Let the mind consider for an instant the history of the Redeemer's love, and a thousand enchanting acts of affection will suggest themselves, all of which have had for their purpose
the weaving of the heart into Christ, and the inter-twisting [intertwining] of the thoughts and emotions of the renewed soul with [into] the mind of Jesus.
When we meditate on this amazing love, and behold the all-glorious Kinsman of the Church endowing her with all His ancient wealth, our souls may well faint for joy.
Who is he, that can endure such a weight of love?
That partial sense of it which the Holy Spirit is sometimes pleased to give, is more than the soul can contain; how transporting [overwhelming] must be a complete view of it!
When the soul has understanding to discern all the Savior's gifts, wisdom wherewith to estimate them, and time in which to meditate on them, such as the world to come will give us, then we will commune with Jesus in a nearer manner than at present.
But who can imagine the sweetness of such fellowship? It must be one of the things that have not entered into the heart of man, but that God has prepared for them that love Him.
Oh, to burst open the door of our Joseph's granaries [storehouses], and see the plenty he has stored up for us!
This will overwhelm us with love.
By faith we see, as in a glass darkly, the reflected image of his unbounded treasures, but
when we actually see the heavenly things themselves with our own eyes, how deep will be the stream of fellowship in which our soul will bathe itself!
Until then our loudest sonnets [poems] will be reserved for our loving benefactor, Jesus, The Christ [Messiah] our Lord,
whose love to us is wonderful, passing the love of mere humans.
EVENING June 4th "RECEIVED UP INTO GLORY." ―1 Timothy 3:16

We have seen our well-beloved Lord in the days of His flesh, humiliated and sore vexed [very annoyed]; for He was "despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief."
He whose brightness is as the morning, wore the sackcloth of sorrow as His daily dress:
shame was His mantle, [cloak] and reproach was His vesture [clothes]. Yet now, inasmuch as He has triumphed over all the powers of darkness upon the bloody tree,
our faith beholds our King returning with dyed garments from Edom, robed in the *splendor of victory.
How glorious must He have been in the eyes of seraphs [angels], when a cloud received Him out of mortal sight, and He ascended up to heaven!
Now He wears the glory which He had with God or ever the earth was [since eternity past], and yet another glory above all -that which He has well earned in the fight against sin, death, and hell.
As victor He wears the illustrious [shinning] crown. Hark [Attention! listen closely] how the song swells high [increases to a loud crescendo]! It is a new and sweeter song:
"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, for He hath redeemed us unto God by His blood!"
He wears the glory of an Intercessor [one who pleads for another] who can never fail, of a Prince who can never be defeated, of a Conqueror who has vanquished [conquered] every foe, of a Lord who has the heart's allegiance [fervent loyalty] of every subject. Jesus wears all the glory which the pomp of heaven can bestow upon [graciously give] Him, which ten thousand times ten thousand angels can minister to Him.
You cannot with your utmost stretch of imagination conceive His exceeding greatness; yet there will be a further revelation of it when He shall descend from heaven in great power, with all the holy angels—
"Then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory." Oh, the *splendor of that glory! It will ravish [hold spellbound] His people's hearts.
Nor is this the close [an end], for eternity shall [forever] sound His praise,
"Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever!"
Reader, if you would joy in Christ's glory hereafter, He must be glorious in your sight now.

CONCLUSION
Let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in any other way, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort or Nestle & Aland.is its Greek Textual basis. Their work means that the translation is based on the defective Critical Text. Those who honor GOD’S Word must not rely on any version or edition based on the Critical Greek Text, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because they are content to use a weakened version that diminishes the person of the Lord Jesus. rather than the existing, preserved, inerrant unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a Traditional Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it must be to Him if His people now chose versions that are based on the defective and inferior Greek manuscripts invented by Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Aland.
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is GOD’S INCARNATE WORD [GOD’S WORD MADE FLESH] and His EVERLASTING [Once, and for ALL] SACRIFICE for ALL Sin]. HE is The Lamb of God, God’s WORD in Human flesh.] The CHURCH is His Body, the BODY of *CHRIST,
(The *MESSIAH). The CHURCH is His espoused [Divinely and legally promised (and legally bound) Bride], to whom HE will return and wed [marry].
This singular event, the birth of Jesus Christ, establishes and defines all chronology [TIME] in all Human History as being either Before or After HIS BIRTH.
John 1:1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [AS His WORD is ETERNAL and IMMUTABLE it IS and WAS and FOREVER FOR EVER MORE SHALL BE] Jesus Christ is GOD’s [incarnate] WORD, MADE FLESH and is ONE with the FATHER.

Spurgeon: Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah; our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

Wilt Thou [Won’t You] move some hearts so powerfully that their tongues cannot be quiet any longer, and may they attempt in some way, either personally or by supporting someone, to bring the gospel into dark benighted hamlets [neighborhoods] that the people may know the truth. ANECDOTE 302: A Poor Woman’s Throne.
I had an engraving [picture] sent to me the other day which pleased me beyond measure. It was an engraving [picture] simply but exquisitely executed. It represented a poor girl in an upper room, with a lean-to roof. There was a post driven in the ground, on which was a piece of wood, standing on which were a candle and a Bible. She was on her knees at a chair, praying, wrestling with God. Everything in the room had on it the stamp of poverty. There was the mean [plain and rough] coverlet [bed spread] to the old stump bedstead; [bed frame] there were the walls that had never been papered, and perhaps scarcely whitewashed. It was an upper story to which she had climbed with aching knees, and where, perhaps, she had worked away till her fingers were worn to the bone, to earn her bread at needle-work. There it was that she was wrestling with God. Some would turn away and laugh at it; but it appeals to the best feelings of man, and moves the heart far more than does the fine engraving [picture] of the monarch [royals] on their knees in the grand assembly.

A day is coming in which the crown jewels of our great King shall be counted, that it may be seen whether they answer to the inventory which His Father gave Him. In the days of Malachi, the chosen of the Lord were accustomed so to converse with each other that their God Himself listened to their talk. Pleased with their conversation, He was also pleased with them. Pause, my soul, [listen, my heart] and ask thyself: If Jesus were to listen to thy talk would He be pleased with it? Is it to His glory and to the edification of the brotherhood? Say, my soul, and be sure thou sayest [tell] the truth. But what will the honor be for us poor creatures to be reckoned by the Lord to be His crown jewels!
This honor have all the saints. Jesus not only says,
-They are mine- but, -They shall be mine-
He bought us, sought us, brought us in, and has so far wrought us to [made us into] His image, that we shall be fought for by Him with all His might.
Prayer: Lord, we find joy in realizing how precious Your redeemed are to You. May our conversation always please you, as well. Lord. I pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

HOW sweet it is to behold the Savior communing with His own beloved people! There can be nothing more delightful than to be led by the Divine Spirit into this fertile field of delight.
Let the mind consider for an instant the history of the Redeemer's love, and a thousand enchanting acts of affection will suggest themselves, all of which have had for their purpose
the weaving of the heart into Christ, and the inter-twisting [intertwining] of the thoughts and emotions of the renewed soul with the mind of Jesus.
When we meditate on this amazing love, and behold the all-glorious Kinsman of the Church endowing her with all His ancient wealth, our souls may well faint for joy.
Who is he, that can endure such a weight of love?
That partial sense of it which the Holy Spirit is sometimes pleased to give, is more than the soul can contain; how transporting must be a complete view of it!
When the soul has understanding to discern all the Savior's gifts, wisdom wherewith to estimate them, and time in which to meditate on them, such as the world to come will give us, then we will commune with Jesus in a nearer manner than at present.
But who can imagine the sweetness of such fellowship? It must be one of the things that have not entered into the heart of man, but that
God has prepared for them that love Him.
Oh, to burst open the door of our Joseph's granaries [storehouses], and see the plenty he has stored up for us!
This will overwhelm us with love.
By faith we see, as in a glass darkly, the reflected image of his unbounded treasures, but
when we actually see the heavenly things themselves with our own eyes, how deep will be the stream of fellowship in which our soul will bathe itself!
Until then our loudest sonnets [poems] will be reserved for our loving benefactor, Jesus Christ our Lord,
whose love to us is wonderful, passing the love of mere humans.

We have seen our well-beloved Lord in the days of His flesh, humiliated and sore vexed [very annoyed]; for He was
"despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief."
He whose brightness is as the morning, wore the sackcloth of sorrow as His daily dress:
shame was His mantle, [cloak] and reproach was His vesture [clothing]. Yet now, inasmuch as He has triumphed over all the powers of darkness upon the bloody tree,
our faith beholds our King returning with dyed garments from Edom, robed in the *splendor of victory.
How glorious must He have been in the eyes of seraphs [angels], when a cloud received Him out of mortal sight, and He ascended up to heaven!
Now He wears the glory which He had with God or ever the earth was [since the beginning], and yet another glory above all--that which He has well earned in the fight against sin, death, and hell.
As victor He wears the illustrious [shinning] crown. Hark [listen closely] how the song swells high [becomes a loud crescendo]! It is a new and sweeter song:
"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, for He hath redeemed us unto God by His blood!"
He wears the glory of an Intercessor [one who pleads for another] who can never fail, of a Prince who can never be defeated, of a Conqueror who has vanquished [conquered] every foe, of a Lord who has the heart's allegiance [fervent loyalty] of every subject. Jesus wears all the glory which the pomp of heaven can bestow upon [give] Him, which ten thousand times ten thousand angels can minister to Him.

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are based on defective Greek manuscript created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.

These do not even agree with themselves and far less with the preserved and protected Textus Receptus.
