This Documentary presents the historical evidence to explain the publication of over 100 compromised English revisionsof the Bible. PRAYER 15, Part 1:
THE PEACE OF GOD.
Part 1 of 9
1 OUR God, we stand not afar off as Israel did in Sinai, nor does a veil hang dark between Thy [Your] face and ours; but the veil is rent [ripped] by the death of our Divine Lord and Mediator, Jesus Christ, and in His name we come up to the mercy seat all blood besprinkled, and here we present our prayers and our praises accepted in Him [Your beloved]. We do confess that we are guilty; we bow our heads and confess that we have broken Thy [Your] law and the covenant [sacred promise] of which it is a part. Didst Thou deal with us [If You had dealt with us] under the covenant of works none of us could stand [measure up to the standard]. We must confess that we deserve Thy wrath [Your anger] and to be banished forever from Thy [Your] presence. But Thou hast [You have] made a new covenant, and we come under its divine shadow; we come in the name of Jesus [Christ]. He is our High Priest; He is our righteousness; He is the well-beloved in whom Thou art [You are] well pleased. Holy Spirit, teach us how to pray. Let us know what we should pray for as we ought [should]. Our first prayer is: Be Thou adored; reign Thou over the whole earth; hallowed be Thy name. We desire to see all men submit themselves to Thy [Your] gracious government [kingdom]. We wish especially that in the hearts of Thine own [Your own people] there may be an intense love for Thee [You] and a perfect obedience to Thee [You]. [We ask this In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.] (Complete Prayer is attached in e-mail as: PRAYER 15.doc)
ANECDOTE 251: Overcoming Hindrances.
You remember in John Bunyan’s life he says that one Sunday, when he was playing on the village green at a game of cat, he was just about to strike the cat when a voice came to him from heaven, and said,
“Wilt thou have thy sins and go to hell, or leave thy sins and go to heaven ?”
And he stood there in the midst of his companions and paused, and they could not think what ailed [bothered] the tinker while he was disputing in his mind which it should be,
Christ and heaven, or his [Bunyan's] sins and hell.
Now, whatever your hindrance is, be it money, be it worldly ambition, or be it any fond passion of the flesh whatever it is, give it up.
If it be thy right hand, thou hadst [had] better cut it off, and cast it from thee, [rather] than [by] keeping it, seal thine endless doom. If it be thy right eye, twere [it were] better for thee to pluck it out, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
Greetings during the eternal Easter time in Jesus Name.
“I am the resurrection and the life” John 11:25

APRIL 8 PRESERVED TO WORKS END
-The Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome -Acts 23:11
-Presentandosele el Senor, le dijo: Confia, Pablo; que como has testificado de mí en Jerusalem, asi es menester testifiques tambien en Roma- Hechos 23:11
Are you a witness for the Lord, and are you just now in [present] danger? Then remember that you are immortal till your work is done. If the Lord has more witness for you to bear [more to be said and done for Him by you], you will live to bear it [complete it]. Who is he that can break the vessel which the Lord intends to use again? If there is no more work for you to do for your Master, it cannot distress you that He is about to take you home, and put you where you will be beyond the reach of adversaries. Your witness-bearing for Jesus is your chief concern, and you cannot be stopped in it till it is finished: therefore be at peace. Cruel slander, wicked misrepresentation, desertion of friends, betrayal by the most trusted one, and whatever else may come, cannot hinder the Lord s purpose concerning you. The Lord stands by you in the night of your sorrow, and He says, -Thou must yet bear witness for me.- Be calm, be filled with joy in the Lord. If you do not need this promise just now, you may very soon. Treasure it up [Keep it for later]. Remember also to pray for missionaries, and all persecuted ones, that the Lord would preserve them even to the completion of their life work.
The John Mark Publishing Company P.O. Box 21 San Juan Capistrano, CA 92693-0021 U.S.A. All comments and questions are welcome. Thank you Lord that You stand by us and will continue to do so until our work on earth is done in Jesus name, Amen.
God bless you as you faithfully give witness [tell others] of the good news of Jesus Christ today. Remember, we acknowledge and can celebrate Easter over and over every time a soul is saved. The lost in sin are resurrected from the dead because Jesus Christ is The Resurrection so we [as redeemed believers] can celebrate every day. Praise the Lord! Sincerely, JM
MORNING April 8
"If they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? " —Luke 23:31
Porque si en el árbol verde hacen estas cosas, ¿en el seco, qué se hará? —Lucas 23:31
AMONG other interpretations of this suggestive question, the following is full of teaching: "If I, the innocent substitute for sinners, suffer thus, what will be done when the sinner himself—the dry tree—shall fall into the hands of an angry God?" When God saw Jesus in the sinner's place, He [God] did not spare Him; and when He finds the unregenerate without Christ, He will not spare them [either]. O sinner, Jesus was led away by His enemies: so shall you be dragged away by fiends [demons] to the place appointed for you. Jesus was deserted of God; and if He, who was only imputedly [accounted to be] a sinner, was deserted, how much more shall you be? "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabach-thani?" What an awful shriek [scream]! But what will be your cry when you say , "O God! O God! Why hast Thou forsaken me?" and the answer shall come back, "Because ye have set at *naught [you have ignored and failed to give any value to] all My counsel [warnings], and would [accept] none of My reproof [rebuke]: I also will laugh at your calamity; “I will mock when your fear cometh.” If God spared not His own Son, how much less will He spare you [Because God didn’t spare His own son [Jesus Christ], He will spare
you even less]! What whips of burning wire will be yours when conscience strikes you with all its terrors. You richest, you merriest, you most self-righteous sinners—who would stand in your place when God will say, "Awake, O sword, against the man that rejected Me; smite him, and let him feel the pain forever"? Jesus was spit upon: sinner, what shame will be yours! We cannot sum up in one word all the mass of sorrows that met on the head of Jesus who died for us, therefore it is impossible for us to tell you what streams, what oceans of grief must roll over your spirit if you die as you now are. You may die [just] so, you may die now. By the agonies of Christ, by His wounds and by His blood, do not bring upon yourselves the wrath to come! Trust in the Son of God, and you will never die.

EVENING April 8
"I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me. "—Psalm 23:4
¾No temeré mal alguno; porque tú estarás conmigo —Salmos 23:4
THE Holy Ghost [Spirit] can make the Christian independent of outward circumstances! What a bright light may shine within us when it is all dark without! How firm, how happy, how calm, how peaceful we may be, when the world shakes to and fro, and the pillars of the earth are removed! Even death itself, with all its terrible influences, has no power to suspend the music of a Christian's heart, but rather makes that music become more sweet, more clear, more heavenly, until the last kind act that death can do is to let the earthly strain [notes] melt into the heavenly chorus, the temporal joy into the eternal bliss [joy]! Let us have confidence, then, in the blessed Spirit's power to comfort us. Dear reader, are you looking forward to poverty? Fear not; the divine Spirit can give you, in your want, a greater plenty than the rich have in their abundance. You do not know what joys may be stored up for you in the cottage around which grace will plant the roses of contentment. Are you conscious of a growing failure of your bodily strength? Do you expect to suffer long nights of languishing and days of pain? 0 be not sad! That bed may become a throne to you. You little know [don’t know much about] how every pang that shoots through your body may be a refining fire to consume your dross [impurity] —a beam of glory to light up the secret parts of your soul. Are eyes growing dim? Jesus will be your light. Do ears fail you? Jesus' name will be your soul's best music, and His person your dear delight. Socrates used to say, "Philosophers can be happy without music" and Christians can be happier than philosophers when all outward causes of rejoicing are withdrawn. In You, my God, my heart shall triumph, come what may of ills without! By Your power, 0 blessed Spirit, my heart shall be exceedingly glad, though all things should fail me here below [on earth].

The Fanny Crosby Story (45 minute video of world’s most prolific Hymn writer of all time)
A SINNER’S PRAYER:
A person may come to Jesus by believing in Him and (earnestly)
praying like this:
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You. I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would deserve and spend forever in Hell.
I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion) and justifying my own behavior as "good" or "OK" will never save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You right now. Lord Jesus. Please save me. I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You say and it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done) and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s presence. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve. (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed [poured out] for me at Calvary [at the cross].
Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.
Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly. But, because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus. You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who, gave up His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ with a grateful heart. Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my
guidance and solemn instruction into all truth., Amen.”
Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, The Comforter, The Paraclete [true friend who is by
your side and always has your back] for the new life in Jesus and the victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our
Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for Your empowerment to see this promise fulfilled.
Romans 6:11
Thank you that you, Holy Spirit, always exalt [lift up] the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-11
With all my heart, I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me and
I now pray that You live Your life, Lord Jesus through me. In Your name, Jesus, Amen.
Please allow us to celebrate with you and with the angels in heaven at the news of your new birth. Please write to:

Paul’s gratitude, contentment and blessing recorded in the book of Philippians quotes the principle and practices regarding all contributions to the Publishing Company. We desire fruit that may abound to your account through your generosity: (vis.)
"For even in [the] Thessaloni'ca [jail] ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. Philippians 4:17. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, Exodus. 29.18 a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. …But I know that my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:17-19. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Salute [Greet] every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you All the saints salute [Greet] you, chiefly they that are of *Caesar’s household. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Philippians 4:23 Amen”
* Not only were new converts won to the truth in Caesar's household, but after their conversion they remained in that household. They did not feel at liberty to abandon their post of duty because their surroundings were no longer congenial. [They were now out of their comfort zone but obliged to steadfastly remain and serve there] The truth had found them there, and there they remained, by their changed life and character testifying to the transforming power of their new found faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your prayers.
Let us make daily use of our riches, and ever repair [return] to Him as to our own Lord in covenant, taking from Him the supply of all we need with as much boldness as men take money from their own purse [wallet].

Can You trust this website?
Is it of God?
Is it trustworthy?
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but [continually] be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses, says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn't confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Hence, I confess [declare and affirm] "Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh."
___________________________________________________________________
He has always existed from eternity past [FOREVER] as the WORD of God. John 1:1-2
And He was born of a virgin 2,024 years ago in Bethlehem, the WORD made flesh,
is alive today, and is coming soon for His *bride, the Church
[*All redeemed believers].
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory."
Let me invite you to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and to publicly confess [declare] Him as such before men [publicly]. He will therefore be able to acknowledge and confess you before His Father in Heaven. He is The God of Abraham. Isaac and Jacob. Following your public confession, You also invited to follow Him in believer’s baptism by immersion.
Is dailyspurgeon.com a trustworthy website?
Is it true? Is it of God?
Here’s how this is scripturally discerned:
1 John 4:1-3 Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [voice] you hear but be testing the spirits [voices] whether they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit [voice] of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come from God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit [voice] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Therefore, we should [must] test every voice [spirit] whether it is from God, bonified and trustworthy to be believed only if it confesses [says] that…
“Jesus Christ is here, from God, in the flesh having come from God .”
[All English translations of the Bible other than King James have erroneously translated from two alternate Greek texts created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Alland as “Has come” rather than“Is come” [Is Here] which is the correct translation following the Greek Majority Text and the Textus Receptus]. The majority of manuscripts MT of the 5,321 individual Greek manuscripts that are preserved, protected, inerrant, infallible and immutable manuscripts and are in overwhelming agreement with one another and are the source from which the Textus Receptus is taken
All Modern Critical translations ignore the original Greek verb “ictin” [To be] [is] (third person singular) that is in virtually all Majority Texts MT and subsequently in the Textus Receptus [Received Text] therefore they fail to correctly translate the Greek verb as, “Is come” [Is here]. (as does the KJV)
This error occurs because the modern critical Greek text, created by Westcott & Hort and Nestles & Alland DO NOT follow the MT [Majority Texts] from which the TR [Textus Receptus] is rendered and both have omitted the verb “is”, from the Greek text. This error show itself as a res ipsa loquitur [a point of law meaning the thing speaks for itself].
Therefore, the alternate translations generated from the two alternate Greek fabrications are not correct. Why not? Because non-believers and false prophets can indeed, and often do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. Practically anyone can make this confession as the birth of Jesus Christ is considered by virtually all respected historians to be the most well documented fact in history. That He has come is generally acknowledged by nonbelievers and believers alike. However, here’s the point. There is a huge difference between “Has come” and “Is Here”. “Has come” falls woefully short of the essential and clear meaning of the confession “Is Here”. Just because something “has come” it can not be assumed, inferred or deduced that it also “is here”.
The “has come” assertion is not surprising nor is it, per se, a false statement. Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. However, this fails to present a Rubric necessary to discern whether the sprit [voice] being tested [tried] is from God or from false prophets in the spirit of antichrist.
Again, the expression “has come” rather than “is come” [is here] is not, per se a false statement. But, it falls short of delivering the promised hypothesis for discernment proffered and inferred. The failure here to establish a logical and rhetorically sound rubric to judge the question of whether spirits [words] are from God or from false prophets and the spirit of antichrist is glaring by its absence.
Namely, it does not provide a sound hypothesis to discern whether a spirit [spoken or written words] are from God or the spirit of Antichrist.
Virtually anyone [or any spirit] may avow that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. But as you can see, this does not resolve the issue of whether something should or should not be believed as true or followed. Why? Once again, because virtually anyone and everyone can and often do confess that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. This leaves absent a valid and efficacious discernment.
Again, while it is true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, this alone is inadequate to discern truth from error. “Has come” does not mean the same thing as “is come [is here], from God, in the flesh” and therefore is a failed attempt to represent itself as efficacious for true spiritual discernment as outlined in 1 John Chapter 4: 1-3.
Further, as we compare Scripture with scripture in 1 John 4:1-3 and Ephesians 5:30-32
we comprehend the mystery of God’s message regarding Jesus Christ being in the Flesh.
Compare 1 John 4:1-3 with Ephesians 5:30-32
1 John 4:1-3
Authorized (King James) Version
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Ephesians 5:30-32
Authorized (King James) Version
30 for we are members of his [Jesus Christ’s] body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery:
but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
[So, we are members of His body, flesh and bone, [we are] one flesh with Him, The Body of Christ is (In the flesh); the actual Body of believers].
He was born of a virgin 2024 years ago. He lives today,
and He’s coming soon, for His bride; the Church [All Blood-bought, Born-again members of His body].
Every time a believer considers the fact that they are a member of the body of Christ, they should acknowledge and readily confess that…
Jesus Christ is here, from God, in the flesh, bodily; We are the Body of Christ; The Church, in the flesh! Amen.

As Jon remembered veterans, we remember him: Jon Edward Riley (1971-2021) who would, on occasion, just bust-out singing the following songs; sometimes, on the way to church sometimes just singing along with the Elvis Gospel CD that was always kept in the truck’s CD player or,
even better, a song the Lord would spontaneously put in his joyful and loving heart.
I LOVE You Lord by Jared Reynolds
How Great Thou Art with Elvis
Lead Me & Rock-a My Soul by Elvis and friends
…Jon always said “Later”; as in [see’ya later] instead of “good bye”. It was his unique way to bid farewell … He would never say “good-bye”. Now, remembering the sound of his voice saying “Later”, it rings true with a new and deeper meaning and it brings a joyfulness and comfort to the hearts of those he loved so well; those who love him still, and always will.
… we are reminded of the promise of the Hymn:
’Till We Meet Again. Amen.

TODAY’S SERMONS:
The Marriage Bond 1 Corinthians 7:1 By Dr. Peter Masters
The abiding bond of marriage is established with its ‘debt’ of love, care and pleasure, and its concept of headship blended with partnership. Also explained is Paul’s divinely inspired marriage teaching (often contested), the circumstances of divorce, and how the Lord is proved in marriage.

Long before the Conservative Resurgence, Dr. R.G. Lee was the Southern Baptist champion of biblical infallibility and inerrancy. In his sermon, “The Word of God – Not Broken and Not Bound,” published in 1930, in which Dr. Lee stated the following regarding the HOLY BIBLE: (KJV)
“All [Prophets and Apostles] who wrote are immortalized by their writing of this great Book, supernatural in origin, divine in authorship, human in penmanship, infallible in authority, infinite in scope, universal in interest, personal in application, regenerative in power, inspired [God breathed] in totality.”
Dr. R.G. Lee preached a sermon called Payday Someday over 1,200 times.
Why was it so powerful? Why was it requested and preached so many times?

SACRED LITERATURE:
THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS by John Bunyan is the most famous Allegory, world-wide and the Most widely Published Book of all time and was printed in over 200 Languages. It has NEVER, since 1698, been out-of-print.
Only The King James Bible was more widely published than The Pilgrim’s Progress.
ONLINE PRINT LIBRARY: (No Enrollment Fee or Registration required)
BUNYAN’S ORIGINAL of 1678: The Pilgrim’s Progress Published in 1853 by Logos
REVISED VERSION: The Pilgrim’s Progrefs [sic] 1999 by Barry E. Horner
OLD ENGLISH PRINT: The Pilgrim’s Progress Part II AKA Christiana
(Christian’s wife, Christiana and children; their dangerous journey, and safe arrival at the desired country.)
Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were loved and read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible. It’s also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.
Comment on Pilgrim’s Progress by Charles H. Spurgeon from the Spurgeon Sermon
“Christ in You”.
Spurgeon: Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah; our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.
Spurgeon Sermon: Christ in You, Preached May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27 From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29 (cit. II. THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, § 5)
You may choose to read, listen or share Pilgrim’s Progress with your little ones as a bed time story. It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims of all ages and will create precious and enduring memories in little ears.
Spurgeon read it for the first time as a precocious five year old reader and would returned to read it over 100 times during the course of his remarkable ministry as a Baptist pastor who is known as The Prince of Preachers .

ANECDOTE 247: No Strife in Heaven.

MISSION STATEMENT & A SINNERS’ PRAYER
PRAYER 15, Part 1 of 9
THE PEACE OF GOD.
OUR Father, we stand not afar off [far away] as Israel did in Sinai, nor does a veil hang dark between Thy face and ours; but [instead] the veil is rent [ripped] by the death of our Divine Lord and Mediator, Jesus Christ, and in His name we come up to the mercy seat all blood besprinkled, and here we present our prayers and our praises [as we are] accepted in Him.
We do confess that we are guilty; we bow our heads and confess that we have broken Thy law and the covenant [sacred and divine promise] of which it is a part. Didst Thou deal with us [If You had dealt with us] under the covenant of works none of us could stand [measure-up]. We must confess that we deserve Thy wrath [anger] and to be banished forever from Thy presence. But Thou hast [have] made a new covenant, and we come under its divine shadow; we come in the name of Jesus [Christ].
He is our High Priest; He is our righteousness; He is the well-beloved in whom Thou art [are] well pleased.
Holy Spirit, teach us how to pray. Let us know what we should pray for as we ought [should]. Our first prayer is:
Be Thou adored; reign Thou over the whole earth; hallowed be Thy name.
We desire to see all men submit themselves to Thy gracious government. We wish especially that in the hearts of Thine own [people] there may be an intense love for Thee and a perfect obedience to Thee.
[We ask this In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]
(Complete Prayer in e-mail: PRAYER 15.doc)
ANECDOTE 247: No Strife in Heaven.
An old Scotch [Scottish] elder had been disputing with his minister at an elders meeting. He said some hard things, and almost broke the minister’s heart. Afterwards he went home, and the minister went home too.
Next morning the elder came down, and his wife said to him,
“Eh, Jan! ye look very sad this morning. What’s the matter wi ye”
“Ah!” said he,
“you would be sad, too, if you had had such a dream as I’ve had.”
“Weel, and what did ye dream about?”
“Och! I dreamed I had been at an elders meeting, and I said some hard things and grieved the minister; and as he went hame sic. I thought he died and went to heaven. A fortnight [14 nights] after, I thought I died, and that I went to heaven, too. And when I got to the gates of heaven, out came the minister and put out his hand to take me, saying, Come alang, sic. Jan, there’s nae sic. strife up here, and I’m happy to see ye. sic.”
[So, then] The elder went to the minister to beg his pardon directly, but he found he was dead; and he laid it so to heart that within a fortnight the elder himself departed. And I should not wonder if he did meet the minister at heaven’s gates, and hear him say,
“Come alang, Jan! there’s nae strife up here.”
It would be good for us to recollect that there is no strife up there. Glorified saints have not strife among themselves ; and we should love one another more in brotherly kindness if we thought
more of heaven and more of our blessed Jesus.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK APRIL 8 PRESERVED TO WORKS END C.H. Spurgeon 1834—1892
-The Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome -Acts 23:11
-Presentandosele el Senor, le dijo: Confia, Pablo; que como has testificado de mí en Jerusalem, asi
es menester testifiques tambien en Roma- Hechos 23:11
Are you a witness for the Lord, and are you just now [presently] in danger? Then remember that
you are immortal till your work is done.
If the Lord has more witness for you to bear [carry out], you will live to bear it [complete it].
Cruel slander, wicked misrepresentation, desertion of friends, betrayal by the most trusted one, and whatever else may come, cannot hinder the Lord’s purpose concerning you.
The Lord stands by you in the night of your sorrow, and He says,
-Thou must yet bear witness for me.-
Be calm, be filled with joy in the Lord. If you do not need this promise just now, you may very soon. Treasure it up [Save it for later]. Remember also to pray for missionaries, and all persecuted ones, that the Lord would preserve them even to the completion of their life work.
Prayer: Thank you Lord that You stand by us and will continue to do so until our work on earth is done. In Your name Lord Jesus I pray, Amen.
Note: God bless you as you faithfully witness [tell others] of the good news of Jesus Christ. Remember, we acknowledge and celebrate the Resurrection every time a soul is saved. The lost in sin are resurrected from the dead because Jesus Christ IS The Resurrection. It is NOT past. We celebrate HIM every day. Praise the Lord! JM
MORNING April 8
"If they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? " —Luke 23:31
Porque si en el árbol verde hacen estas cosas, ¿en el seco, qué se hará? —Lucas 23:31
AMONG other interpretations of this suggestive question, the following is full of teaching:
"If I, the innocent substitute for sinners, suffer thus, what will be done when the sinner himself—the dry tree—shall fall into the hands of an angry God?"
When God saw Jesus in the sinner's place, He did not spare Him [from the punishment and death on the cross as the sacrifice for the sin of all mankind]; and when He finds the unregenerate without Christ,
He will not spare them [Neither will He spare them].
O sinner, Jesus was led away by His enemies: so shall you be dragged away by fiends [demons] to the place appointed for you. Jesus was deserted of God; and if He, who was only imputedly [considered to be] a sinner, was deserted, how much more shall you be?
"Eloi, Eloi, lama sabach-thani?"
What an awful shriek [scream]! But what will be your cry when you say ,
"O God! O God! Why hast Thou forsaken me?"
and the answer shall come back,
"Because ye have set at *naught [ignored] all My counsel [guidance], and would [have] none of My reproof [rebuke]: I also will laugh at your calamity; “I will mock when your fear cometh.”
If God spared not His own Son, how much less will He spare you [Because God didn’t spare His own son [Jesus Christ], He will spare you even less]!
What whips of burning wire will be yours when conscience strikes you with all its terrors. You richest, you merriest, you most self-righteous sinners—who would stand in your place when God will say,
"Awake, O sword, against the man that rejected Me; smite him, and let him feel the pain forever"?
Jesus was spit upon: sinner, what shame will be yours! We cannot sum up in one word all the mass of sorrows that met on the head of Jesus who died for us, therefore it is impossible for us to tell you what streams, what oceans of grief must roll over your spirit if you die as you now are. You may die [just] so, you may die now.
By the agonies of Christ, by His wounds and by His blood, do not bring upon yourselves the wrath to come!
Trust in the Son of God, and you will never die.
* English (USA) spelling
EVENING April 8
"I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me. "—Psalm 23:4
¾No temeré mal alguno [ninguno]; porque tú estarás conmigo —Salmos 23:4
THE Holy Ghost can make the Christian independent of outward circumstances!
Fear not;
the divine Spirit can give you, in your want [time of need], a greater plenty than the rich have in their abundance. You do not know what joys may be stored up for you in the cottage around which grace will plant the roses of contentment.
Are you conscious of a growing failure of your bodily strength? Do you expect to suffer long nights of languishing and days of pain? 0 be not sad! That bed may become a throne to you. You little know [don’t know much] how every pang that shoots through your body may be a refining fire to consume your dross [impurity]
—a beam of glory to light up the secret parts of your soul.
In You, my God, my heart shall triumph,
come what may of ills without!
By Your power, 0 blessed Spirit, my heart shall be exceedingly glad, though all things should fail me here below [on earth]. the God of my salvation. Yes, blessed be His name, while I am yet going to Him through Jesus' blood, I can rejoice in the God of my salvation.
Sing Blessed Be The Name

The psalmist ends with a commendable vow:
if God will deliver him, he will sing—nay, more [not just sing, but], he will "sing aloud."
Who can sing in any other style of such a mercy as this! But note the subject of the song—
"Thy righteousness."
We must sing of the finished work of a precious Savior; and
he who knows most of forgiving love will sing the loudest.
Sing-along, won't you?
