All Bible versions that are NOT translated from the Textus Receptus [The (traditional) Received Greek Text] include variant readings that diminish the full expressions of glory and the most Holy reverence due to the Omnipotent, Almighty GOD. He preserves and protects it’s immutably in the 1769 Edition of the 1611 King James Version KJV Bible. This version is also known as the Authorized King James Version AKJV and the Authorized Version AV. ALL GLORY is due and must be given to the Omnipotent and Omniscient LORD of ALL.

The Geneva Bible was also faithfully translated from the Greek Textus Receptus and included comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation from inspired, devoted, faithful Christian men of GOD; They were Puritan Believers known to be beyond reproach.

This Bible was first brought to Plymouth Massachusetts in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

The traditional Textus Receptus [Received Greek Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken from more than 5,321 original Majority Greek Manuscripts MT that agree 98% with one another. Other variant readings are translations invented by either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and lack the trustworthiness of the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

Can DAILYSPURGEON be trusted? Is it trustworthy?

Is it of God?

YES, it can! Yes, it is! Here’s why.

1 John 4:1-3

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

I therefore must and do audibly confess, that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh.

[All translations of the Bible that have used a Greek text translation other than the traditional and faithful Textus Receptus have ignored the Greek word “ictin” [this Greek word means “is” in English] and causes the meaning of “is here” to be changed from “is” come” [is here] to “has” come”.

This error is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists or heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come” [in the flesh].

While this is a true statement, when taken at face value, the meaning of “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; which is the valid, scriptural test of discernment to know if words are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist.

The most well documented fact in all of human history is that the Lord Jesus Christ [The Messiah] “has” come in the flesh. However, the question of much greater importance, is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] being considered and tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether the confession being made affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here], from God, in the flesh.

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV) AKA AV is used here. It was faithfully Translated from the preeminent, traditional Greek Textus Receptus [Received Text] and is superior to all Modern Critical Text translations and editions.

1 John 4:1-3

(AKJV) This Translation was faithfully translated by consecrated, fully dedicated, preeminent linguists, language scholars who were devoted followers of The Lord Jesus Christ. The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [the traditional Received Text]:

Psalm 119:89 ל (Lamed) Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

“Thy Word” is The Inspired and Ultimate Stare Decisis [The Latin phrase that means to stand by things decided, to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired] and therefore eternally and immutably decided]

4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore, I now confess that “Jesus Christ is here, from God, in the flesh.”

[All other English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Receptus render the English translation as “Has come”.

This erroneous Translation is because inferior Greek manuscripts that do not include the Greek word “ictin” (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Textus Receptus) and therefore fail to correctly translate “Is come” [Is Here] into English.

The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV stand alone in giving the correct translation as “is here”.

The error, “has come” is self- evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics can, and sometimes do, make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is arguably the most well documented fact in all of recorded history. Indeed, it is a factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. While this is, on the surface a true statement, when “has come” replaces “is come” its altered meaning does not now provide the test of discernment as to whether a spirit [voiced or written thing being said] is either from God or from antichrist. It is true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it is essential and of crucial importance, that the confession that Jesus Christ, “is here, from God, in the flesh.” Be made aloud.

By Reading, comparing and meditating on a certain Scripture with other Scriptures, God’s Word self-authenticates:

PRAYER 1 Part 5 of 7 January 5th HELP FROM ON HIGH.

And now that we have Thine ear we would pray for this poor world in which we live. We are often horrified by it. O Lord, we could wish that we did not know anything about it for our own comfort. We have said, “Oh! for a lodge in some vast wilderness.” We hear of oppression and robbery and murder, and men seem let loose [unrestrained] against each other. Lord, have mercy upon this great and wicked city. What is to be done with these millions? What can we do? At least help every child of Thine to do his utmost.

May none of us contribute to the evil directly or indirectly, but may we contribute to the good that is in it. We feel we may speak with Thee now about this, for when Thy servant Abraham stood before Thee [and spake [spoke] with such wonderful familiarity to Thee, he pleaded for [the city of] Sodom; and we plead for London [and all cities, great and small] .

We would [choose to] follow the example of the Father of the Faithful and pray for all great cities, and indeed for all the nations. Lord, let Thy kingdom come. Send forth Thy light and Thy truth. Chase the old dragon from his throne, with all his hellish crew. Oh! that the day might come when even upon earth the Son of the woman, the Man-child, [The Lord Jesus] should rule the nations, not with a broken staff of wood, but with an enduring scepter of iron, [to symbolize royal authority] full of mercy, power, and full of grace, yet irresistible.

Oh! that that might soon come, the personal advent [coming] of our Lord! We long for the millennial [thousand-year] triumph of His Word. Until then, O Lord, gird [outfit] us for the fight, and make us to be among those who overcome, through the blood of the Lamb and through the word of our testimony,

because we “love not our lives unto the death.” [we won’t put ourself first even at the cost of our own life.]

ANECDOTE 156: January 5th DEATH, THE END OF PROBATION [Trials are over].

I have sometimes likened the hour of our death to that celebrated picture, which I think you have seen in the National Gallery, of Perseus [from Greek Mythology] holding up the head of [the slain] Medusa. That head turned all persons into stone who looked upon it. There is a warrior there with a dart [spear] in his hand; he stands stiffened, turned into stone, with the javelin even in his fist.

There is another, with a poinard [dagger] beneath his robe, about to stab; he is now the statute of an assassin, motionless and cold. Another is creeping along stealthily, like a man in ambuscade [in the act of ambushing someone], and there he stands a consolidated rock; he has looked only upon that head, and he is frozen into stone. Well, such is death.

What I am when death is held before me, that I must be forever.

When called to serve or to suffer, we take stock of our strength, and we find it to be less than we thought, and less than we need. But let not our heart sink within us while we have such a word as this to fall back upon, for it guarantees us all that we can possibly need. God has strength omnipotent [all powerful] ; that strength He can communicate to us; and His promise is that He will do so. He will be the food of our souls, and the health of our hearts; and thus, He will give us strength. There is no telling how much power God can put into a man. When divine strength comes, human weakness is no more a hindrance. Do we not remember seasons of labor and trial in which we received such special strength that we wondered at ourselves? In the midst of danger,

we were calm, under bereavement

we were resigned, in slander

we were self-contained, and in sickness

we were patient.

The fact is, that God gives unexpected strength when unusual trials come upon us.

We rise out of our feeble selves. Cowards play the man, foolish ones have wisdom given them, and the silent receive in the self-same hour what they shall speak.

My own weakness makes me shrink,

but God’s promise makes me brave.

Lord, strengthen me

“according to thy word.”

Prayer: Thank you Lord that You will strengthen us. My own weakness makes me shrink, but Your promise makes me brave. Help me to walk in Your strength in the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.

God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 4:33

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His WORD. All of His Word is inspired, [God-breathed], self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word.

MORNING, January 5th "AND GOD SAW THE LIGHT

that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness." — Genesis 1:4

LIGHT might well be good since it sprang from God's fiat [commandment] of goodness,

"Let there be light."

We who enjoy it should be more grateful for it than we are, and see more of God in it and by it. Physical light is said by Solomon [King David’s son who was gifted with great wisdom from God ] to be sweet,

But gospel light is infinitely more precious, for it reveals eternal things and ministers to [speaks to and satisfies] our immortal natures.

When the Holy Spirit gives us spiritual light, and opens our eyes to behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, we behold sin in its true colors, and ourselves in our real position [guilty in sin].

We see the Most Holy God as He reveals Himself, the plan of mercy as He propounds it, and the world to come as the Word [Bible] describes it. Spiritual light has many beams and prismatic colors: whether they be knowledge, joy, holiness, or life, all are divinely good. If the light we receive is good, how glorious must be the essential light and the place where He reveals Himself!

O Lord, since light is so good, give us more of it and more of Thyself, the true light.

No sooner is there a good thing in the world, than a division is necessary. Light and darkness have no communion [nothing to do with one another, nothing in common].

God has divided them; let us not confound [confuse] them. Sons of light must not have fellowship with deeds, doctrines, or deceits of darkness. The children of the day must be sober, honest, and bold in their Lord's work, leaving the works of darkness to those who dwell [reside] in it. Our churches should divide the light from the darkness by discipline, and we should by our distinct separation from the world do the same.

In judgment, in action, in hearing, in teaching, in association, we must discern [analyze and decide] between the precious and the vile [filthy] and maintain the great distinction that the Lord made upon the world's first day. O Lord Jesus, be our light throughout the whole of this day, [and for eternity] for

Your light is the light of men.

THIS morning we noticed the goodness of the light, and its division from the darkness. We now note the special eye that the Lord had for the light.

"God saw the light."

He looked at it with satisfaction, gazed upon it with pleasure, saw that it "was good."

If the Lord has given you light, dear reader, He looks on that light with special interest; not only is it dear to Him because it is His own handiwork [creation], but also because it is like Himself,

For "He is light."

It is pleasant knowledge that God's eye is tenderly observant of that work of grace He has begun in us. He never loses sight of the treasure He has placed in our earthen vessels [human bodies]. Sometimes we cannot see the light, but God always sees the light, and that is much better than our seeing it.

Better for the judge to see my innocence than for me to think I see it. It is very comfortable for me to know that I am one of God's people, but whether I know it or not, if the Lord knows it, I am still safe.

This is the foundation: "The Lord knows them that are His." You may be sighing and groaning because of inbred [habitual or besetting] sin and mourning over your darkness, yet the Lord sees "light" in your heart for He has put it there, and all the cloudiness and gloom of your soul cannot conceal your light from His gracious eye.

You may be despondent, or even despairing; but if your soul has any longing towards Christ, and if you are seeking to rest in His finished work, God sees the "light."

He not only sees it, but He also preserves it in you.

"I, the Lord, do keep it."

This is a precious thought to those who, after anxious watching and guarding of themselves, feel their own powerlessness to do so. The light, thus preserved by His grace, He will one day develop into the splendor of noonday, and the fullness of glory.

The light within is the dawn of the eternal day.

A SINNER’S PRAYER January 5th

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus. Won’t you?

“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and it’s hopeless for me to save myself. Without you and your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell.

I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion) and justifying my own behavior as "good" or "OK" can never be enough to save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You right now. Lord Jesus. Will You please save me. I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You have said and it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to you. Thank You.

I give myself completely to You, Lord Jesus. I’m sorry for every sin I’ve done and I now turn away from each one and look to You to forgive me, save me and deliver me from future evil. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross paying the punishment that I deserve. I’m a sinner by nature and by my actions. But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed for me at the cross.

Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was bor n and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.

Thank you, Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly. But, because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus. You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who,gave up His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.

Thank You, righteous Father of love that you allowed Jesus to suffer and die raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.

Thank you for saving me. I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart. Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth., Amen.”

Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, Comforter, Paraclete [one who comes along side] for the new life in Jesus and victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for the execution of this vow.

Romans 6:11

Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always bear witness of and exalt the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-11

With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Abide in me Lord Jesus in Your name I pray, Amen.
