C.H. Spurgeon The Peoples Preacher ( 70 min.) Historically accurate Feature Film of the one called The Prince of Preachers
2,018,939 views May 14, 2020 ―a video into the life and ministry of Charles Haddon Spurgeon, widely known first as the “people’s preacher” who was later known as “The Prince of Preachers”.
It follows his trials and triumphs with historical accuracy pointing always to Jesus Christ and proclaiming, “Behold the Lamb of God which taketh [takes] away the sin of the world.”
Here is an intimate account of one of the greatest preachers in the history of the church. We follow him from his youth where, as a young preacher he is called Charlie, boy preacher of the Finns. to become the minister to London’s largest Baptist congregation and soon captures the love and respect of Great Britan to become one of its most influential figures.
Produced by the award-winning Christian Television Association and filmed on location in England, Scotland, France and Germany, this film vividly captures the spirit and message of a man whose eventful life is highly relevant to the twenty-first century.

Thank You LORD for dailyspurgeon.com that proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ [The Messiah], and the great commission for believers to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
This ministry was begun with the sending of e-mails of Spurgeon’s Faith’s Checkbook, to Jon Edward Riley (1971- 2021). A mailing list was started and grew rapidly with the addition of many who learned of this publication and wanted it sent to them directly. This mailing list continues to be used to distribute dailyspurgeon.com and we trust that it will continue to encourage whole-hearted devotional vigor of Love, and oneness with Jesus Christ through the study and obedience of GOD’S WORD.
Devotional Content published here has been written and calendared by Charles Spurgeon. We pray that many will be born-again and the born-again will be built-up in the Faith of Jesus Christ, by God’s grace and with His help. May God be pleased to sustain this ministry begun with my beloved son, Jon Edward Riley (1971-2021) honored here as one to whom honor is due.
Jon would often say...
“I’m a blood-bought, born-again child of God.”
Amen.

Is dailyspurgeon.com to be trusted?
Is it true? Is it of God?
Apply this Scripture to discern if it is of God and true, or not.
1 John 4:1-3 Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [voice] you hear but be testing the spirits [voices] whether they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit [voice] of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come from God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit [voice] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Therefore, we should [must] believe every voice [spirit] only if it confesses [says] that…
“Jesus Christ is come [is here], in the flesh .”
[All English translations of the Bible other than the King James have erroneously translated from two alternate Greek texts created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Alland as “Has come” rather than“Is come” [Is Here] which is the correct translation following the Greek Majority Text and the Textus Receptus]. The majority of manuscripts MT of the 5,321 individual Greek manuscripts that are preserved, protected, inerrant, infallible and immutable manuscripts and are in overwhelming agreement with one another and are the source from which the Textus Receptus is taken
All Modern Critical translations overlook the original Greek verb “ictin” [To be] [is] (third person singular) that is in virtually all Majority Texts MT and subsequently in the Textus Receptus [Received Text] therefore they fail to correctly translate the Greek verb as, “Is come” [Is here]. (Rightly translated from the Received Text only in the King James Version)
This error occurs because the modern critical Greek text, created by Westcott & Hort and Nestles & Alland DO NOT follow the MT [Majority Texts] of 5,321 Greek manuscripts that affirm agreement with one another. The TR [Textus Receptus] is rendered from this overwhelming body of agreement from Majority Text of primary manuscript sources. Both Westcott & Hort and Nestles & Alland have omitted the verb “is”, from the Greek text. This error may be described in the legal term res ipsa loquitur meaning the thing speaks for itself.
Therefore, the alternate translations generated from these two alternate Greek fabrications are not correct. Why is that?
Because non-believers and false prophets can indeed, and often do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. Practically anyone can make this confession as the birth of Jesus Christ is considered by virtually all respected historians to be the most well documented fact in history. That He has come is generally acknowledged by nonbelievers and believers alike. However, here’s the point. There is a huge difference between “Has come” and “Is Here”. “Has come” falls woefully short of the essential and clear meaning of the confession “Is Here”. Just because something “has come” it can not be assumed, inferred or deduced that it also “is here”.
The “has come” assertion is not surprising nor is it, per se, a false statement. Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. However, this fails to present a Rubric necessary to discern whether the sprit [voice] being tested [tried] is from God or from false prophets in the spirit of antichrist.
Again, the expression “has come” rather than “is come” [is here] is not, per se a false statement.
However, it fails to deliver a valid hypothesis, proffered and inferred in the contextfor scriptural discernment. The failure here to establish a logical and rhetorically sound rubric to judge the question of whether spirits [words] are from God or from false prophets and the spirit of antichrist is absent.
Namely, it does not provide a sound hypothesis to discern whether a spirit [spoken or written words] are from God or the spirit of Antichrist.
Virtually anyone [or any spirit] may avow that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. But as you can see, this does not resolve the issue of whether something should or should not be believed or followed. Why? Once again, because virtually anyone and everyone can and often do confess that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. This leaves absent a valid and efficacious hypothesis to discern the truth.
Again, while it is true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, this alone is inadequate to discern truth from error. “Has come” does not mean the same thing as “is come [is here], from God, in the flesh” and therefore is a failed attempt to represent itself as efficacious for true spiritual discernment as outlined in 1 John Chapter 4: 1-3.
Further, as we compare Scripture with scripture in 1 John 4:1-3 and Ephesians 5:30-32
we comprehend God’s message regarding the body of Jesus Christ being in the Flesh vis-à-vis The Body of Christ, The Corporate Church.
Compare 1 John 4:1-3 with Ephesians 5:30-32
1 John 4:1-3
Authorized (King James) Version
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Ephesians 5:30-32
Authorized (King James) Version
30 for we are members of his [Jesus Christ’s] body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery:
but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
[So, we are members of His body, flesh and bone, [we are] one flesh with Him, The Body of Christ is (In the flesh); and is the incarnate Body of believers].
He was born of a virgin 2024 years ago and He lives today.
He’s coming again, for His bride; the Church [Blood-bought, Born-again members of His body].
When a believer considers the fact that they are members of the body of Christ [The Church] , they should acknowledge and readily confess that…
“Jesus Christ is here, from God, in the flesh,” because We are the Body of Christ; The Church, in the flesh! Amen.

The Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most widely published and most famous Allegory . It was commonly found among he scant possessions in the cabins of the early American Pioneers. It was loved and read, second only to the Holy Bible, God’s Word, of guidance, encouragement and comfort. It’s also considered, by some, to be the world’s first English novel and is the most published book of all time. other than the Bible. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the author's death. It remains one of the world’s most famous books. In allegorical genre, it is unequalled.
Pilgrim’s Progress is referenced in many Spurgeon Sermons.
Here's one example:
“Christ in you, the hope of glory.”—Colossians 1:27
Note: Spurgeon was taught to read at a very early age and read The Pilgrim’s Progress for the first time when he was six years old. He would return to re-read it over 100 times. He made many reference to it in his sermons as Pastor of The Metropolitan Tabernacle in London.
Excerpt from Sermon: II. § 5 THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU
"Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me [Spurgeon] of Mr. Bunyan’s picture in The Pilgrim’s Progress. of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams [ancient weapons of war] had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [melodies], for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus; it is our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims (readers and seekers) of all ages for a life-time.
Index of the 533 Scripture References cited in The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan 1687
John Bunyan did not write or set forth any world view of any kind. His masterful allegory, demonstrably displays that God's Word does not support a world view at all but sets forth God’s view on every thing revealed and forever settled in heaven, The Holy Bible.
________________________________________
Bunyan merely, yet ardently, trusted in God’s Word; the God-breathed [divinely inspired], Self-authenticating, Providentially-protected immutable, inerrant, infallible, and inextinguishable written Word from GOD Himself. God, the omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous and Holy One, has breathed out His Word and has made His Word flesh in the birth of Jesus Christ. God’s Word is now, has always been and will forever be in perfect accord with Himself and the Spirit of Truth.
God’s infinite Love and Grace to redeem all fallen, hell-bound sinners who will look to Him is revealed by the sacrifice of His only begotten [fathered by God] Son, Jesus Christ.
The story inspiration given to Bunyan was in the form of a dream. Never the less, it imparts wisdom and may encourage soul-searching self-reflection to all pilgrims who seek redemption and eternal life. Many scripture references will be captured and remembered from its reading [listening].

PRAYER 19, Part 10 of 11
GOD’S UNSPEAKABLE GIFT.
Lord, we pray for our country with all our heart; and as Thou biddest [requested] us we pray for those in authority, for the Sovereign [Monarch] as supreme, for the Court of Parliament, for all magistrates and rulers. We pray also for the poorest and the down-trodden. The Lord [Lord, would you please] look upon the poor of this world, and make them rich in faith, and comfort them in heart by the Holy Ghost [Holy Spirit]. The Lord save the nation. Let Thy light and Thy truth go forth to the most distant parts of the earth; “let the people praise Thee; O God let all the people, praise Thee.”
Give us the times of refreshing. May we have a visit from Christ by the power of His Spirit; and until He come may there be a blessed halcyon [calm] time of peace and salvation. [We ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

Anecdote 289: Christian Love Needed.
An evangelist brings into the congregation all the poor people of the district, and the very worst of characters gather to hear him. This ought to be a great joy, but in certain cases it is not. Many are offended, and in effect say,
“ Not so, Lord’ Well, really, I – I – I do not like sitting next to one who is dressed so badly, and smells so vilely’ I saw a woman of loose character come in, and I felt as if I must leave my pew.”
Oh, you very respectable people, you know that you get into that state of mind! You do not say much about it when we hear you, because you know that it would not answer your purpose; yet you squeeze up against the corner of the pew to get away from the poor and needy. Do you not?
If a man with a smock-frock, or with a dirty face, comes in here, you would just as soon that he should sit on the flaps [fold-up chairs] in the aisle as sit in your seat, and a great deal sooner, I dare say. There is a great deal of that kind of feeling about, and it may be very natural,
but it certainly betrays feebleness [vulnerability and tenderness] of Christian love.

Faith’s Checkbook MAY 20 WE DARE NOT DOUBT C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892
-I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder [cut apart] the bars of iron- Isaiah 45:2
-Yo ire delante de ti, y enderezare las tortuosidades; quebrantare puertas de bronce, y cerrojos de hierro hare pedazos- Isaías 45:2
This was for Cyrus; but it is evermore the heritage of all the Lord s own spiritual servants. Only let us go forward by faith, and our way will be cleared for us. Crooks and turns of human craft and Satanic subtlety shall be straightened for us; we shall not need to track their devious windings. The gates of brass shall be broken, and the iron bars which fastened them shall be cut asunder [into pieces]. We shall not need the battering ram nor the crowbar: the Lord Himself will do the impossible for us, and the unexpected shall be a fact.
Let us not sit down in coward-fear. Let us press onward in the path of duty; for the Lord hath said it,
-I will go before thee.-
Ours not to reason why; ours but to dare and dash forward. It is the Lord s work, and He will enable us to do
it: all impediments must yield before Him. Hath He not said,
-I will break in pieces the gates of brass?-
What can hinder His purpose or balk [stop] His decrees? Those who serve God have infinite resources. The way is clear to faith though barred to human strength.
When Jehovah says,
-I will,-
as He does twice in this promise, we dare not doubt.
Prayer: Lord, we are grateful that You not only protect us, but You prepare the way before us too. May we be mindful of this promise. May we be encouraged by this sufficient and abundant advance work of preparation You do for Your children. I ask this In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

MORNING May 20
“Marvelous lovingkindness." —Psalm 17:7
—Estupendas misericordias —Salmos 17:7
WHEN we give our hearts with our alms [offering], we give well, but we must often plead to a failure in this respect. Not so our Master and our Lord.
His favors are always performed with the love of His heart. He does not send to us the cold meat and the broken pieces [leftovers] from the table of His luxury, but He dips our morsel [bite] in His own dish, and seasons our provisions with the spices of His fragrant affections.
When he puts the golden tokens of His grace into our palms [hands], he accompanies the gift with such a warm pressure of our hand, that the manner of His giving is as precious as the boon [gift] itself. He will come into our houses on His errands of kindness, and He will not act as some austere [strict] visitors do in the poor man's cottage, but He will sit by our side, not despising our poverty, nor blaming our weakness.
Beloved, with what smiles does he speak! What golden sentences drop from His gracious lips! What embraces of affection He gives us! If He had but given us farthings [pennies], the way of His giving would have gilded them [coated them with gold]; but as it is, the costly alms [love gifts] are set in a golden basket by His pleasant carriage.
It is impossible to doubt the sincerity of His charity, for there is a bleeding heart stamped on the face of all His gifts. He gives liberally and upbraids not [doesn’t reproach nor find fault]. Not one hint that we are burdensome to Him; not one cold look for His poor pensioners; but He rejoices in His mercy and presses us to His bosom while He is pouring out His life for us.
There is a fragrance in His spikenard [ointment] that nothing but His heart could produce; there is a sweetness in His honey-comb that could not be in it unless the very essence of His soul's affection had been mingled [mixed] with it.
Oh, the rare communion which such singular [quintessential] heartiness brings!
May we continually taste and know the blessedness of it! ________________________________________
EVENING May 20
"I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love." —Hosea 11:4
—Con cuerdas humanas los traje, con cuerdas de amor—Oseas 11:4
OUR heavenly Father often draws us with the cords of love; but oh, how backward [resistant] we are to run to ward Him! How slowly do we respond to His gentle impulses!
He draws us to exercise a more simple faith in Him; but we have not yet attained to Abraham's confidence; we do not leave our worldly cares with God, but, like Martha, we cumber [trouble] ourselves with much serving. Our meager faith brings leanness into our souls; we do not open our mouths wide though God has promised to fill them. Does He not draw us to trust Him this very evening? Can we not hear Him say, "Come, My child, and trust Me. The veil [separating us from the Holy of Holies] is rent [ripped open]; enter into My presence, and approach boldly to the throne of My grace. I am worthy of your fullest confidence; cast [throw] your cares on Me. Shake yourself from the dust of your cares, and put on your beautiful garments of joy."
But, alas! Though called with tones of love to the blessed exercise of this comforting grace, we will not come.
At other times He draws us to closer communion with Himself. We have been sitting on the doorstep of God's house, and He bids us advance into the banqueting hall and sup [dine] with Him, but we decline the honor. There are secret rooms not yet opened to us; Jesus invites us to enter them, but we hold back.
Shame on our cold hearts! We are poor lovers of our sweet Lord Jesus, not fit to be His servants, much less to be His brides, and yet
He has exalted us to be bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh, married to Him by a glorious marriage covenant [divine agreement].
Herein is love! But it is love that takes no denial [will not be denied]. If we obey not the gentle drawings of His love, He will send affliction to drive us into closer intimacy with Himself.
He will have us nearer.
What foolish children we are to refuse those bands of love, and so bring on our backs that scourge of small cords,
which Jesus knows how to use!

A SINNER’S PRAYER: … FOR WHOSOEVER WILL: [For One and all]
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am hopeless. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross for my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned to Hell. I have been self-centered from birth. Please forgive me.
I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m guilty and sorry for each and every sin I have done and look to You to forgive me of them all.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, because of my sin and You say, “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21.
Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You, to be my Lord and Savior from now on.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I ask You to abide in me and give me the desire to always follow You.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross. Even the sins of the whole world.
Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me even before I was born and that You still love me now. I love You too.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scripture references in the King James Bible (KJV) inerrant and infallible English Bible because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the established majority text MT from which the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on inferior Greek manuscripts.
The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

In the United States there is no Copyright protection and the KJV is deemed Public Domain. If a new publication changes at least a 10% of an existing publication a lucrative Copyright can be granted. Therefore the NKJV and many other copyrighted translations. Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is translated from the superior Greek Textus Receptus as its Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek text Source.

Brooke Foss Westcott and Fenton John Anthony Hort (Text only)

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:
* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above
The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are based on defective Greek manuscript created by Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland.
Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson for us all:
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).

Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is translated from the superior Greek Textus Receptus as its Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek text Source.

This video presents the truth for those who seek to learn about and use the providentially protected, preserved and immutable Holy Bible that is both inerrant [without error] and infallible and gives God alone, the utmost praise, and the greatest glory due to HIMSELF. HOW HAS THE MAJORITY TEXT AND THE TEXTUS RECEPTUS BEEN PROVIDENTIALLY PROTECTED AND PRESERVED?
The inspired, god breathed, immortal words, were uttered, word-by-word, to the holy prophets and apostles who were chosen of God and moved by the holy ghost. These words are protected and preserved in holy scripture and written word-for-word are immutable, without error, and infallible and for ever [sic] settled in heaven by God himself in the self authenticating word of god, itself.
The Authorized (King James) Holy Bible.
ל Lamed

Authorized (King James) Version:

2 Peter 1:21
Authorized (King James) Version:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The complete Inside Story of Westcott and Hort:
