DEVOTION for April 27th *A.D. 2025 Written and calendared for this exact date by Charles Haddon Spurgeon 1834-1892
Easter [Resurrection Sunday] IS NEVER OVER.
Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die. Believest thou this?”
2 Timothy 2:8-26
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

This video presents historical evidence to explain the publication explosion of over 100 English versionsof the Bible. The continuing attempts to replace, add, take away from or change the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible have notprevailed because GOD Himself preserves and protects His Holy Scripture from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion and error.
Note: The King James Version follows the Greek Text fabricated by Westcott and Hort and does follow the originalGreek of the Textus Receptus. It is therefore inferior to the 1769 [1611] KJV!

DAILY SPURGEON and DEVOTION for April 27, A.D. 2025
A.D. did not and does NOT mean “After Death” as many erroneously now think. It actually abbreviates Anno Domini, a Latin phrase adopted into English that literally means “Year of our Lord”. It has been used together with B.C. Before Christ for centuries.
B.C.E is not a synonym for B.C. (Before Christ)] It is not the same thing. Not even close.
B.C.E. / C.E or B.C. /A.D. What’s the difference?
B.C.E. (BEFORE COMMON ERA [or BEFORE CURRENT ERA] ― Anything but BEFORE CHRISTIAN ERA) has been an attempt by atheist and anti-Christians to remove A.D and B.C.
The argument here, claims to have a neutral point of view that would remove all reference to Jesus Christ by omitting the use of A.D Ano Domini and B.C. Before ChristThis argument brings forward a faulty if not egregious hypothesis. Without consideration of a person’s religious views analysis of the hypothesis of a neutral point of view (NPOV) must be made.
What is A NEUTRAL point of view? Such a fool’s errand would argue that a point of view could set forth a valid, genuine, authentic and simultaneously be neutral. What? This defies logic. A neutral point of view, were it possible, is no point of view at all. Rather, it’s illogical and by applying simple common sense, impossible. Anytime a point of view is combined, confused or blended with another one so that the properties are clouded, weakened or confused the actual definite and certain POV is lost and any rational adherence or support for it is now moot. A Neutral point of view exists only in the imagination of those who prefer confusion to a true, authentic, genuine, robust and proven point of a verifiable fact.
A neutral point of view, were it possible, would be, at best, illogical, unattainable, indefensible and irresponsible. The king of oxymorons.
Therefore, the mere consideration of an imagined but impossible and unattainable neutral point of view (NPOV) is ludicrous. A point of view cannot be NEUTRAL. An authentic point of view cannot be neutral, or ambiguous, but must clearly advance a singular, definite and certain point of view (POV). It cannot be both a POV and neutral. A neutral point of view is a logical impossibility. A neutral (POV), were it possible, would ignore the historical fact of Jesus Christ’s birth. The pretense of seeking a neutral point of view is therefore misleading and disingenuous.
The Lord Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh,
was born of a virgin 2025 years ago.
He’s alive today, has always existed as God’s eternal and everlasting Word,
and will soon return for his bride, the Church
[The body of all redeemed believers in Jesus Christ].
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else.
You are invited to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior and Lord and to follow Him in believer’s baptism.
Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Do it] now: for thus it becometh us [is beautifully fitting and expected of us] to fulfil all righteousness.”
Baptism is not a requirement for salvation but it is the willing desire of all believers to demonstrate agreement and consistency with the righteousness of preaching Repentance and Baptism by John the Baptist and obedience to the scriptural teaching. The issue of baptism is therefore not an issue of salvation but of obedience and of fulfilling all righteousness.
Worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth will spring-up and be manifested in a sense of gratitude. Such worship can come through prayer, Bible reading, scriptural meditation and study. Fellowship in a local church body, hearing gospel preaching and singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs are also acts of worship and reflects an active discipleship.
To this purpose, DailySpurgeon, is offered as a reliable, dependable and effective resource.
It is not intended, were it possible to take the place of fellowship or congregational worship in a local body of believers.
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a worker that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing [accurately comprehending and sharing] the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
Trusting in and following the Lord Jesus Christ is our chief purpose. We trust Him for salvation, guidance, strength and our eternal destiny according to His perfect will. We follow Him in soul winning through DailySpurgeon or any other instrumentality He may choose. We invite and encourage non-believers to turn away from sin, look to Him and be saved. We trust that believers (old and new) will benefit from its use knowing that He will sustain, guide and build us up as we are conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

SERMON: The Metropolitan Tabernacle (Charles Spurgeon 1834-1892)
The Strategy of Resurrection John Ch. 20 with Dr. Peter Masters, Pastor
It is clear the resurrection was completely unexpected by the disciples. Here is how it came, first by gentle intimation, then with a caution, then as a proof of Christ's successful atonement, and then as a command to trust in the living Lord.
PRAISE: PLEASE SING Above All by Lenny LeBlanc …Be [be being] filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19

A SINNER'S PRAYER

PRAYER 17, Part 3 of 8
TO BE LIKE CHRIST.
Forgive those who have never felt the guilt of sin, who are living in it, who are carnally minded, [who think only about fleshly desires and pleasure] who are therefore dead. O, quicken by Thy divine Spirit; take away the pleasure which they feel in sin; deliver them from being the bond slaves [enslaved] of it. Alas! we know the sorrow of sometimes being captured by it, but still, we are not yet slaves.
The Spirit, the life of God, in Jesus Christ, hath [has] made us free from the law of sin and death. O, deliver others; bring them up out of the horrible pit of sin. Deliver them from the death of their natures and save them by the Spirit of the living God, and apply the precious blood of Jesus to their hearts and consciences.!
[Deliver us from sin]
[We ask this In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 270: Afraid of Gladness.
I have known some very good people spoiled for practical usefulness, and spoiled as to being like the Lord Jesus Christ, by their deeply laid conviction that it was wicked to be glad.
Well do I remember an earnest Christian woman who saw me when I was first converted, full of the joy of the Lord, and joyfully assured of my salvation in Christ Jesus. She seemed distressed at the sight of so much joy. She shook her head. She looked at me with that heavenly-minded pity which these good people usually lay by in store.
It seemed to her a dreadful thing that so young a Christian should dare to know whom he had believed.
If you had been a Christian a hundred years you might perhaps begin to think it possible that you were saved; but to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ straight away, like a little child, and at once to rejoice in his salvation, seemed to this dear old Christian woman to be an act of such shocking temerity [ recklessness ] that she could only shake her dear head and prognosticate [predict] all sorts of horrible things.
Since then, I have found a great many like her.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK APRIL 27 GOD FINISHES HIS WORK C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892
[What a promise!]
-The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me- Psalm 138:8
-Jehova cumplira por mi- Salmos 138:8
He who has begun [the work] will carry on the work which is being wrought within my soul.
The Lord is concerned about everything that concerns me.
All that is now good, but not perfect, the Lord will watch over, and preserve, and carry out to completion. This is a great comfort. I could not perfect the work of grace myself. Of that I am quite sure, for I fail every day, and have only held on so long as I have because the Lord has helped me. If the Lord were to leave me, all my past experience would go for nothing, and I should perish from the way. But
the Lord will continue to bless me.
He will perfect my faith, my love, my character, my life-work. He will do this because He has begun a work in me. He gave me the concern I feel, and, in a measure, He has fulfilled my gracious aspirations.
He never leaves a work unfinished;
this would not be for His glory, nor would it be like Him. He knows how to accomplish His gracious design, and though my own evil nature and the world, and the devil, all conspire to hinder Him, I do not doubt His promise.
He will perfect that which concerneth [concerns] me, and I will praise Him for ever.
Lord, let thy gracious work make some advance this day! [progress today]
Prayer: Thank you Lord that -You will perfect that which concerneth [concerns] me- Lord Jesus, let me walk with assurance because I know that Your promises are sure. I believe that You died for me and that God raised You from the dead. Thank You that you saved me and that You keep me by Your faith.
I rejoice with the angels in heaven for each sinner that looks to you and is saved by Your grace.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Pray also that all pastors, workers and believers everywhere rightly divide God’s everlasting Word, to declare, preach and share the good news that Jesus suffered and died on the cross so that eternal life is given to all who trust in Him. Pray that all redeemed, born-again blood-bought children of God abide faithful to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with every creature.

MORNING April 27
"God, even our own God." –Psalm 67.6
--Dios, el Dios nuestro. –Salmos 67:6
IT is strange how little use we make of the spiritual blessings God gives us, but it is stranger still how little use we make of God Himself. Though He is
"our own God,"
we apply ourselves but little to [associate ourselves only slightly with] Him, and ask but little of Him.
How seldom do we ask counsel at the hands of the Lord! How often do we go about our business, without seeking His guidance! In our troubles how constantly do we strive to bear our burdens ourselves, instead of casting [throwing] them upon the Lord, that He may sustain us [see us through]!
This is not because we may not, for the Lord seems to say,
"I am yours, come and make use of me as you will; you may freely come to my store, and the oftener the more welcome."
It is our own fault if we do not take advantage of the riches of our God. Then, since you have such a friend, and He invites you, draw [receive] from Him daily. Never want [go lacking] while you have a God to go to; never fear or faint while you have God to help you; go to your treasure and take whatever you need—there is all that you can want.
Learn the divine skill of making God all things to you. He can supply you with all, or, better still, He can be all to you. Let me urge you, then, to make use of your God.
Make use of Him in prayer. Go to Him often, because He is your God. O will you fail to use so great a privilege? Fly [run] to Him, tell Him all your wants.
Use Him constantly by faith at all times. If some dark providence has clouded over you,
use your God as a "sun;" if some strong enemy has beset you, find a shield in Jehovah, for He is a sun and shield to his people.
If you have lost your way in the mazes of life,
use Him as a "guide," for He will direct you. Whatever you are, and wherever you are, remember
God is just what you want, and just where you want, and that He can do all [that] you want.

EVENING April 27
"The Lord is King for ever and ever. " —Psalm 10:16
Jehová, Rey eterno y perpetuo. —Salmos 10:16
JESUS Christ is no despotic [tyrant-like] claimant of divine right, but He is really and truly the
Lord's anointed!
"It hath pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell."
God has given to Him all power and all authority. As the Son of man, He is now head over all things to His church, and He reigns over heaven, and earth, and hell, with the keys of life and death at His girdle [belt].
Certain princes have delighted to call themselves kings by the popular will, and certainly our Lord Jesus Christ is such in His church. If it could be put to the vote whether He should be King in the church, every believing heart would crown Him.
0 that we could crown Him more gloriously than we do! We would count no expense to be wasted that could glorify Christ. Suffering would be pleasure, and loss would be gain, if thereby we could surround His brow with brighter crowns, and make Him more glorious in the eyes of men and angels.
Yes, He shall reign.
Long live the King!
All hail to Thee, King Jesus!
Go forth, you virgin souls who love your Lord, bow at His feet, scatter the lilies of your love and the roses of your gratitude in His way:
"Bring forth the royal diadem [crown], and crown Him Lord of all."
Moreover, our Lord Jesus is King in Zion by right of conquest: He has taken and carried the hearts of His people by violent attack, and has slain their enemies who held them in cruel bondage.
In the Red Sea of His own blood, our Redeemer has drowned the Pharaoh of our sins: shall He not be King in Jeshurun? He has delivered us from the iron yoke and heavy curse of the law:
shall not the Liberator be crowned?
We are His portion, [We belong to HIM] whom He has taken out of the hand of the Amorite with His sword and with His bow: who shall snatch His conquest from His hand?
All hail, King Jesus! We gladly acknowledge Your Kingship! Rule in our hearts forever, lovely Prince of Peace.
Sing “Amen” with Harry Belafonte, Won’t you?

A SINNER’S PRAYER:
A person may come to Jesus by believing in Him and (earnestly)
praying like this:
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You. I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would deserve and spend forever in Hell.
I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion) and justifying my own behavior as "good" or "OK" will never save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You right now. Lord Jesus. Please save me. I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You say and it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done) and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s presence. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve. (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed [poured out] for me at Calvary [at the cross].
Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.
Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly. But, because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus. You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who, gave up His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ with a grateful heart. Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my
guidance and solemn instruction into all truth., Amen.”
Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, The Comforter, The Paraclete [true friend who is by
your side and always has your back] for the new life in Jesus and the victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our
Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for Your empowerment to see this promise fulfilled.
Romans 6:11
Thank you that you, Holy Spirit, always exalt [lift up] the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-11
With all my heart, I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me and
I now pray that You live Your life, Lord Jesus through me. In Your name, Jesus, Amen.
Please allow us to celebrate with you and with the angels in heaven at the news of your new birth. Please write to:

Paul’s gratitude, contentment and blessing recorded in the book of Philippians quotes the principle and practices regarding all contributions to the Publishing Company. We desire fruit that may abound to your account through your generosity: (vis.)
"For even in [the] Thessaloni'ca [jail] ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. Philippians 4:17. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, Exodus. 29.18 a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. …But I know that my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:17-19. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Salute [Greet] every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you All the saints salute [Greet] you, chiefly they that are of *Caesar’s household. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Philippians 4:23 Amen”
* Not only were new converts won to the truth in Caesar's household, but after their conversion they remained in that household. They did not feel at liberty to abandon their post of duty because their surroundings were no longer congenial. [They were now out of their comfort zone but obliged to steadfastly remain and serve there] The truth had found them there, and there they remained, by their changed life and character testifying to the transforming power of their new found faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your prayers.
Let us make daily use of our riches, and ever repair [return] to Him as to our own Lord in covenant, taking from Him the supply of all we need with as much boldness as men take money from their own purse [wallet].

Note: This Sermon was referenced in the Men’s Bible Study on Wednesday, August 14th 2024 at South Shores Church and is featured here as an unabridged Audio recording of Sermon # 1245 that was preached originally by Charles Spurgeon in 1875 from his home church, The Metropolitan Tabernacle, London, U.K.

Is it of God?
Is it trustworthy?
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but [continually] be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses, says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn't confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Hence, I confess [declare and affirm] "Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh."

He has always existed from eternity past [FOREVER] as the WORD of God. John 1:1-2
And He was born of a virgin 2,024 years ago in Bethlehem, the WORD made flesh,
is alive today, and is coming soon for His *bride, the Church
[*All redeemed believers].
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory."

FEATURED BIOGRAPHICAL VIDEOS :
C.H. Spurgeon The Peoples Preacher ( 70 min.) Historically accurate Feature Film of the one called The Prince of Preachers
2,018,939 views May 14, 2020 ―a Wonderful video of insight into the heartwarming and inspirational life and ministry of Charles Haddon Spurgeon who is known, world-wide as the “people’s preacher”.
It follows his trials and triumphs with historical accuracy pointing always to Jesus Christ and proclaiming, “Behold the Lamb of God which taketh [takes] away the sin of the world.”
Here is an intimate account of one of the greatest preachers in the history of the church. We follow him from his youth where, as a young preacher he is called Charlie, boy preacher of the Finns. to become the minister to London’s largest Baptist congregation and soon captures the love and respect of Great Britan and goes on to become one of its most influential figures.
Made by the award-winning Christian Television Association and filmed on location in England, Scotland, France and Germany, this film vividly captures the spirit and message of a man whose eventful —sometimes controversial— life is highly relevant to the twenty-first century.

Thank You LORD for dailyspurgeon.com that proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ [The Messiah], and the great commission for believers to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
This ministry was begun as e-mails of Spurgeon’s Faith’s Checkbook, were sent to Jon Edward Riley (1971- 2021) by his dad. He shared them with others, and a mailing list of daily recipients began to grow. The mailing list is now used to send dailyspurgeon.com a website that publishes the Good News of Jesus Christ and supports Local Churches in making followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. To this end devotional content from the writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon. (1834 – 1892) known as The Prince of Preachers is presented.
We are grateful to the Lord for providing dailyspurgeon.com and trust that it will continue to honor the LORD by encouraging a whole-hearted devotional vigor of Love, and oneness with Jesus Christ through the study and obedience of GOD’S WORD. All content is selected for this ministry has been written and calendared by Charles Spurgeon. We pray that many will be born-again and built-up in the Faith of Jesus Christ, by God’s grace and with His help, sustain a ministry that was begun with my beloved son, Jon Edward Riley (1971-2021) honored here as one to whom honor is due.
Jon would often testify that...
“I’m a blood-bought, born-again child of God.”
We add our, “Amen”.

(Brief History) The present church building was constructed in 1861to support a congregation that continues as a vibrant, doctrinally sound, Gospel preaching, Sacred Praise and Hymn singing body of believing Disciples, devoted to and following the Lord Jesus Christ.

Is dailyspurgeon.com or any other spoken or written communication to be trusted?
Is it true? Is it of God?
Apply this Scripture to discern if it is of God and true, or not.
1 John 4:1-3 Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [voice] you hear but be testing the spirits [voices] whether they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit [voice] of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come from God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit [voice] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Therefore, we should [must] test every voice [spirit] whether it is from God, bonified and trustworthy to be believed only if it confesses [says] that…
“Jesus Christ is here, from God, in the flesh having come from God .”
[All English translations of the Bible other than King James have erroneously translated from two alternate Greek texts created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Alland as “Has come” rather than“Is come” [Is Here] which is the correct translation following the Greek Majority Text and the Textus Receptus]. The majority of manuscripts MT of the 5,321 individual Greek manuscripts that are preserved, protected, inerrant, infallible and immutable manuscripts and are in overwhelming agreement with one another and are the source from which the Textus Receptus is taken
All Modern Critical translations ignore the original Greek verb “ictin” [To be] [is] (third person singular) that is in virtually all Majority Texts MT and subsequently in the Textus Receptus [Received Text] therefore they fail to correctly translate the Greek verb as, “Is come” [Is here]. (as does the KJV)
This error occurs because the modern critical Greek text, created by Westcott & Hort and Nestles & Alland DO NOT follow the MT [Majority Texts] from which the TR [Textus Receptus] is rendered and both have omitted the verb “is”, from the Greek text. This error show itself as a res ipsa loquitur [a point of law meaning the thing speaks for itself].
Therefore, the alternate translations generated from the two alternate Greek fabrications are not correct. Why not? Because non-believers and false prophets can indeed, and often do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. Practically anyone can make this confession as the birth of Jesus Christ is considered by virtually all respected historians to be the most well documented fact in history. That He has come is generally acknowledged by nonbelievers and believers alike. However, here’s the point. There is a huge difference between “Has come” and “Is Here”. “Has come” falls woefully short of the essential and clear meaning of the confession “Is Here”. Just because something “has come” it can not be assumed, inferred or deduced that it also “is here”.
The “has come” assertion is not surprising nor is it, per se, a false statement. Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. However, this fails to present a Rubric necessary to discern whether the sprit [voice] being tested [tried] is from God or from false prophets in the spirit of antichrist.
Again, the expression “has come” rather than “is come” [is here] is not, per se a false statement. But, it falls short of delivering the promised hypothesis for discernment proffered and inferred. The failure here to establish a logical and rhetorically sound rubric to judge the question of whether spirits [words] are from God or from false prophets and the spirit of antichrist is glaring by its absence.
Namely, it does not provide a sound hypothesis to discern whether a spirit [spoken or written words] are from God or the spirit of Antichrist.
Virtually anyone [or any spirit] may avow that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. But as you can see, this does not resolve the issue of whether something should or should not be believed as true or followed. Why? Once again, because virtually anyone and everyone can and often do confess that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. This leaves absent a valid and efficacious discernment.
Again, while it is true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, this alone is inadequate to discern truth from error. “Has come” does not mean the same thing as “is come [is here], from God, in the flesh” and therefore is a failed attempt to represent itself as efficacious for true spiritual discernment as outlined in 1 John Chapter 4: 1-3.
Further, as we compare Scripture with scripture in 1 John 4:1-3 and Ephesians 5:30-32
we comprehend God’s message regarding Jesus Christ being in the Flesh vis-à-vis His Church Body
Compare 1 John 4:1-3 with Ephesians 5:30-32
1 John 4:1-3
Authorized (King James) Version
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Ephesians 5:30-32
Authorized (King James) Version
30 for we are members of his [Jesus Christ’s] body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery:
but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
[So, we are members of His body, flesh and bone, [we are] one flesh with Him, The Body of Christ is (In the flesh); and is the incarnate Body of believers].
He was born of a virgin 2024 years ago. He lives today,
and He’s coming soon, for His bride; the Church [Blood-bought, Born-again members of His body].
When a believer considers the fact that they are a member of the body of Christ [The Church] , they should acknowledge and readily confess that…
“Jesus Christ is here, from God, in the flesh,” because We are the Body of Christ; The Church, in the flesh! Amen.

“All [Prophets and Apostles] who wrote are immortalized by their writing of this great Book, supernatural in origin, divine in authorship, human in penmanship, infallible in authority, infinite in scope, universal in interest, personal in application, regenerative in power, inspired [God breathed] in totality.”

Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were loved and read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible. It’s also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.
Comment on Pilgrim’s Progress by Charles H. Spurgeon from the Spurgeon Sermon
“Christ in You”.
Spurgeon: Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah; our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.
Spurgeon Sermon: Christ in You, Preached May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27 From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29 (cit. II. THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, § 5)
You may choose to read, listen or share Pilgrim’s Progress with your little ones as a bed time story. It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims of all ages and will create precious and enduring memories in little ears.
Spurgeon read it for the first time as a precocious five year old reader and would returned to read it over 100 times during the course of his remarkable ministry as a Baptist pastor who is known as The Prince of Preachers .

A SINNER'S PRAYER
________________________________________
PRAYER 17, Part 2 of 8 TO BE LIKE CHRIST.
First, we would confess before Thee, O God, the sin we have committed, mourning over it. Touch each one’s heart now with tenderness that everyone of us may lament [regret] that Thou shouldst [should] even have a few things against us, if they be but few, for in the great love of our blessed Master He said to His churches,
“Nevertheless, I have a few things against Thee.”
O Lord, if Thou hast [have] so kept us by Thy grace that there have been but a few things against us, yet help us to much bewail [weep bitterly over] them. O, Infinite Love, can we sin against Thee at all? How debased [depraved] is our nature then! Forgive, sweet Savior, forgive sins against Thy love and blood, against Thy wounds and death, and
give us Thy Spirit, O Savior, more fully, that we may live Thy life while we are here among the sons of men, for as Thou art [are], even so also are we in this world, and we wish the parallel to become more close and perfect every day!
[We ask this In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 265: The Pearl of Great Price.
I will suppose this morning that I am sent here by high authority to sell the Koh-inoor, or a diamond worth ten thousand times as much, a jewel worth a thousand-millions, of pounds. [innumerable U.S. Dollars] I am bound to sell it to you now, but I am sure you cannot purchase it at any price worthy of it ; all you could offer would be so small a portion of its value that I would sooner give it away than lower the repute of the jewel by taking such a trifle [small amount] for it.
The gospel is so precious a thing that if it is bought the whole world could not pay for it, and therefore, if bought at all it must needs be [has to be] without money and without price. ________________________________________
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK APRIL 27 GRACIOUS DEALING C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892
-And the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest- Deuteronomy 15:18
- Jehova tu Dios te bendecirá en todo cuanto hicieres- Deuteronomio 15:18
An Israelitish master was to give his bondservant liberty in due time, and when he left his service he was to start him in life with a liberal portion [a trust fund]. This was to be done heartily and cheerfully, and then the Lord promised to bless the generous act. The spirit of this precept [teaching], and, indeed, the whole law of Christ, binds us to treat work-people well.
We ought to remember how the Lord has dealt with us, and that this renders it absolutely needful that we should deal graciously with others. It becomes [it’s a beautiful thing for] those to be generous who are the children of a gracious God. How can we expect our great Master to bless us in our business if we oppress those who serve us?
What a benediction is here set before the liberal mind! To be blessed in all that we do is to be blessed indeed. The Lord will send us this
partly in prosperity,
partly in content of mind, and
partly in a sense of His favor, which is the best of all blessings.
He can make us feel that we are under His special care, and are surrounded by His peculiar love. This makes this earthly life a joyous prelude to the life to come. God’s blessing is more than a fortune.
It maketh [makes] rich, and addeth no [without adding any] sorrow therewith.
Prayer: Thank you Lord that You bless us in all that we do in setting free bond servants [those obligated to do work for us]. Thank you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
________________________________________
We pray also that all believers everywhere will rightly divide God’s Holy Word, sharing the good news that Jesus Christ became sin, suffered and died on the cross and was raised from the dead by God the Father on the third day so that all who trust in Him will have everlasting life. Pray also, that all redeemed, born-again blood-bought children of God will abide faithful to share this Good News of Jesus the Messiah with every creature, Amen.

MORNING April 27
"This do in remembrance of Me." —1 Corinthians 11:24
--Haced esto en memoria de mí. —1 Corintios 11:24
IT seems then, that Christians may forget Christ! [Otherwise] There could be no need for this loving exhortation,
["This do in remembrance of Me."]
if there were not a fearful supposition that our memories might prove treacherous [turn away]. Nor is this a bare supposition: it is, alas [oh my!], too well confirmed in our experience, not as a possibility, but as a lamentable [sorrowful] fact . It appears almost impossible that those who have been redeemed by the blood of the dying Lamb, and loved with an everlasting love by the eternal Son of God, should forget that gracious Savior; but, if startling to the ear, it is too apparent to the eye to allow us to deny the crime.
Forget Him who never forgot us! Forget Him who poured His blood forth for our sins! Forget Him who loved us even to the death! Can it be possible!
Yes, it is not only possible, but conscience confesses that it is too sadly a fault with all of us, that we allow Him to be as a wayfaring [traveling] man tarrying but for a night [staying just one night]. He whom we should make the abiding tenant [long-term guest] of our memories is but a visitor therein [there].
The cross on which one would think that memory would linger and un-mindfulness [thoughtlessness] would not intrude [invade], is desecrated [made profane] by the feet of forgetfulness.
Does not your conscience say that this is true? Do you not find yourselves forgetful of Jesus? Some creature steals away your heart, and you are unmindful of Him on whom your affection ought to be set.
Some earthly business engrosses your attention when you should fix [keep] your eye steadily upon the cross.
It is the incessant turmoil of the world, the constant attraction of earthly things that takes the soul away from [Jesus] Christ.
While memory, too well preserves a poisonous weed, it allows the rose of Sharon to wither. Let us charge ourselves to bind [tie] a heavenly forget-me-not [flower] about our hearts for Jesus our Beloved, and, whatever else we let slip,
let us hold fast to Him.

EVENING April 27
"Blessed is he that watcheth. " —Revelation 16:15
—Bienaventurado el que vela —Apocalipsis 16:15
“WE die daily," said the apostle [Paul]. This was the life of the early Christians; they went everywhere with their lives in their hands. We are not in this day called to pass through the same fearful persecutions: [unless we are in regions where the Church is enduring persecution presently] if we were, the Lord
would give us grace to bear the test; but the tests of Christian life, at the present moment, though outwardly not so terrible, are yet more likely to overcome us than even those of the fiery age.
We have to bear the sneer [disrespect] of the world—that is little; its blandishments, its soft words, its oily speeches, its fawning, its hypocrisy, are far worse.
Our danger is in growing rich and becoming proud, in giving ourselves up to the fashions of this present evil world, and finally lose our faith.
Or if wealth be not the trial, worldly care is quite as mischievous.
If we cannot be torn in pieces by the roaring lion, if we may be hugged to death by the bear, the devil little cares which it is, so long as he destroys our love for Christ, and our confidence in Him.
I fear that the Christian church is far more likely to lose her integrity in these soft and silken days than in those rougher times. We must be awake now, for we traverse [travel] the enchanted ground, and are most likely to fall asleep to our own undoing, unless our faith in Jesus be a reality, and our love for Jesus a vehement [white-hot] flame.
Many in these days of easy profession are likely to prove tares [come up as weeds], and not wheat; hypocrites with fair [beautiful] masks on their faces, but not the true-born children of the living God.
Christian, do not think that these are times in which you can dispense with watchfulness or with holy ardor [passionate vigor]; you need these things more than ever, and may God the eternal Spirit display His omnipotence [infinite power] in you, that you may be able to say, in all these softer things, as well as in the rougher,
"We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us."

A SINNER’S PRAYER: … FOR WHOSOEVER: [For One and all]
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am hopeless. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross for my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned to Hell. I have been self-centered from birth. Please forgive me.
I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m guilty and sorry for each and every sin I have done and look to You to forgive me of them all.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, because of my sin and You say, “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21.
Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You, to be my Lord and Savior from now on.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I ask You to abide in me and give me the desire to always follow You.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross. Even the sins of the whole world.
Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me even before I was born and that You still love me now. I love You too.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [Holy Ghost, Comforter, Spirit of Truth]
Thank You for saving me heavenly Father. With all my heart, thank you Father for saving me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Allow us to share the joy of your new birth with heaven. Won’t you? Heaven rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7

He is the beloved founder of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, England (Still thriving TODAY through the faithful preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.) Prayer: Lord Jesus, please bless Your disciples toward the winning of many souls, and help us to be loving and compassionate toward all who are in need, especially those in the household of faith. I pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His sake, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not praise or exalt Charles H. Spurgeon beyond the honor due him. He didn’t need or want it when he was on earth and would have no need or desire for it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach HIM and Him crucified.
Precaution: These Messages and prayers alone will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus. Neither do they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word. (The King James version (KJV), known also as the Authorized Version (AV), is the preferred English Bible because its accuracy and fidelity to the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] and the Hebrew Masoretic Text) avoid doctrinal and editorial weaknesses found in many contemporary editions.
Prayer Selection by Spurgeon must not be offered as a substitute for personal, intimate fervent, heart-felt, prayer. It is intended rather, to warm the hearts of those who are in prayer seeking a season of authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Read from the NT Book of Romans Chapter 8.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scripture references in the King James Bible (KJV) inerrant and infallible English Bible because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the established majority text MT from which the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on inferior Greek manuscripts.
The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

In the United States there is no Copyright protection and the KJV is deemed Public Domain. If a new publication changes at least a 10% of an existing publication a lucrative Copyright can be granted. In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:
* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above
The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is evil in itself, but because the attitude of being contented to use a blemished version rather than an existing unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has taken the trouble to preserve for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to change over to a version that is based on a defective text.
Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson to all:
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).
