Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but [continually] be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses, says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn't confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Let me invite you to accept and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and to publicly confess Him as such before men. He will therefore be able to acknowledge and confess you before His Father in Heaven. He is The God of Abraham. Isaac and Jacob. Following your public confession, You also invited to follow Him in believer’s baptism by immersion.
Jesus came from Galilee t o Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Allow this]: for thus it becometh [is fitting and right for] us to fulfil all righteousness.”
Baptism is not required for salvation. Remember, Jesus said to the thief on the cross, who acknowledged Jesus’ innocence and said to him.
“Remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
And Jesus said to him,
“Verily [Truly] I say to you, Today you shall be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43
The act of Baptism pictures the Lord’s death, burial and resurrection and the believer’s death to self, burial, and resurrection to walk in newness of life.
It bears witness to the preaching of John the Baptist who preached that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and exhorted Repentance from sin and the Baptism of atonement. Therefore, the act of baptism is not required for salvation but as John preached it is is to be followed to fulfil all righteousness

We apply the following Scripture to everything we hear/read to discern whether what we are hearing/reading is of God and therefore whether or not it should be believed.
1 John 4:1-3 Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [word] you hear but be testing the spirits [words] whether they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Here’s how you know if it is the Spirit [voice] of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come from God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
We discern every voice [spirit] whether it is from God, and Therefore to be believed only if it confesses [states] that…
“Jesus Christ is here, in the flesh having come from God .”
The Greek manuscripts of Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Alland do not make this confession nor do they follow the Textus Receptus rendered from 5,321 extant Greek manuscripts, that are in overwhelming agreement with one another and are known also as as the Majority Text.
Instead, they used their own Greek translations that they invented by hand picking only 55 Greek manuscripts from the 5,321 Majority Texts Greek manuscripts..
Their invented Greek translation presents variant readings different than the Textus Receptus in many places. One example from 1 John, Chapter 4 where all English translations other than the King James version overlook the original Greek verb “ictin” [To be] [is] (third person singular) that is translated in substantially all Majority Texts MT and subsequently in the Textus Receptus [Received Text] and therefore have failed to correctly translate the Greek verb as, “Is come” [Is here]. (correctly Translated from the Textus Receptus [Received Text (TR)] in the King James Version)
This error occurs because the modern critical Greek text, created by Westcott & Hort and Nestles & Alland DO NOT follow the MT [Majority Texts] of 5,321 Greek manuscripts that affirm substantial agreement with one another. The TR [Textus Receptus] is rendered from an overwhelming agreement found among the Majority Text of 5,321 primary Greek manuscript sources.
Both Westcott & Hort and Nestles & Alland omit the verb “is”, from their invented Greek text. This error may be legally described as res ipsa loquitur a latin phrase that means “the thing speaks for itself”.
Therefore, the Greek inventions generated by these two sources are not actually translations, even though they are introduced as translations, actually represent their own Greek language inventions unsupported by the reliability of the Majority Texts or the Textus Receptus.
How do we know?
We know because both non-believers and false prophets assert that Jesus Christ
“has come” in the flesh. Practically anyone can make this confession as the birth of Jesus Christ is considered by historians to be the most well documented fact in all of human history.
That He has come is generally acknowledged by nonbelievers and believers alike. However, here’s the point. There is a huge difference in meaning between “Has come” and “Is Here”. “Has come” is woefully short of the essential and clear meaning of the confession “Is Here”.
Just because something “has come” it can not be assumed, inferred or deduced that it also “is here”.
The “has come” assertion is generally held. It is not, per se, a false statement. Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. However, this falls short of presenting a logical rubric to discern whether the sprit [voice] being tested [tried] is from God or from false prophets in the spirit of antichrist.
Again, the expression “has come” rather than “is come” [is here] is not, per se a false statement.
However, it fails to deliver a valid hypothesis, by which spiritual understanding can be discerned. The failure here to establish a logical and rhetorically sound rubric to judge the question of whether spirits [words] are from God or from false prophets and the spirit of antichrist is absent if “has come” is the favored reading.
Actually, “has come” is such a wide-spread belief held to be historically true by all, yet, it does not provide a sound standard to discern whether a spirit [spoken or written words] are from God or the spirit of Antichrist.
Almost anyone [or any spirit] can declare that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. But as you can see, this does not resolve the issue of whether something should or should not be believed as true or followed. Why? Once again, because almost anyone can and often does confess that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh. But, his is an insufficient standard. The standard must be whether the confession that Jesus is here alone, gives an efficacious standard to discern truth from error.
Again, while it is true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, this alone is inadequate to discern truth from error. “Has come” does not mean the same thing as “is come [is here], from God, in the flesh” and therefore fails to be efficacious for true spiritual discernment.
Further, as we compare Scripture with scripture in 1 John 4:1-3 and Ephesians 5:30-32
we comprehend God’s message regarding the body of Jesus Christ being in the Flesh vis-à-vis The Body of Christ, The Corporate Church.
Compare 1 John 4:1-3 with Ephesians 5:30-32
1 John 4:1-3 Authorized (King James) Version
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Ephesians 5:30-32
Authorized (King James) Version
30 for we are members of his [Jesus Christ’s] body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
[So, we are flesh and bone members of His body, We are] one flesh with Him, The Body of Christ is (In the flesh); and is the incarnate Body of believers.
He was born of a virgin 2024 years ago and He’s alive today.
He’s coming soon, for His bride; the Church [Blood-bought, Born-again members of His body].
When a believer considers the fact that they are members of the body of Christ [The Church] , they should see and acknowledge that…
“Jesus Christ is here, from God, in the flesh,” because We are the Body of Christ; The Church, in the flesh!

"Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me [Spurgeon's comment] of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [melody] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus; it is our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL!
LORD, we are longing to draw near; may Thy [Your] Spirit draw us near. We come by the way of Christ [The Messiah] our Mediator. We could not approach Thee [You], O our God, if it were not for Him, but in Him we come boldly to the throne of heavenly grace. Nor can we come without thanksgiving — thanksgiving from the heart, such as the tongue can never express. Thou hast [You have] chosen us from before the foundation of the world, and this well-head of mercy sends forth streams of loving-kindness never ceasing. Because we were chosen we have been redeemed with precious blood [the matchless , holy blood of Jesus]. Bless the Lord! And we have been called by the Holy Spirit out of the world, and we have been led to obey that wondrous call which hath quickened [enlivened] us and renewed us, and made us the people of God, given us adoption into the Divine Family. ANECDOTE 91: Perseverance.
How do I know the winner at the footrace? There are the spectators, and there are the runners. What strong men ! what magnificent muscles ! what thews [brawn] and sinews! Yonder [there] is the goal; and there it is that I must judge who is the winner: not here, at the starting-point; for “They which run in a race run all, but one receiveth [only one receives] the prize.” I may select this one, or that other person, as likely to win, but I cannot be absolutely sure until the race is over. There they fly [GET SET, GO]! See how they press forward, with straining muscles! But one has tripped, another faints, a third is out of breath, and others are far behind. One only wins and who is he? Why, [well] he who continued to the end. So I may gather from the analogy, which Paul constantly allows us, from the ancient games, that only he who continueth [continues] till he reaches the goal may be accounted a Christian at all. A ship starts on a voyage to Australia: if it stops at Madeira, or returns after reaching the Cape, would you consider that it ought to be called an emigrant ship for New South Wales? It must go the whole voyage, or it does not deserve the name. A man has begun to build a house, and has erected one side of it: do you consider him a builder if he stops there, and fails to cover it in or to finish the other walls? Do we give men praise for being warriors because they know how to make one desperate charge, but lose the campaign [war]?
Have we not, of late, smiled at the boasting dispatches of commanders, in fights where both combatants fought with valor, and yet neither of them had the common sense to push on to reap the victory? What was the very strength of Wellington, but that, when a triumph had been achieved, he knew how to reap the harvest which had been sown in blood? And he only is a true conqueror, and shall be crowned at the last, who continueth [continues] till war’s trumpet is blown no more. It is with a Christian as it was with the great Napoleon: he said, “Conquest has made me what I am, and conquest must maintain me.” So, under God, conquest has made you what you are, and conquest must sustain you. Your motto must be, “ Excelsior;” [still higher] or, if it be not, you have not learned the noble spirit of God’s princes.

A fair assurance this! It was no doubt based upon a promise, inwardly whispered in the Psalmist’s heart, which he seized upon and enjoyed. Is my case like that of David? Am I depressed because the enemy affronts me? Are there multitudes against me, and few on my side? Does unbelief bid me [request that I] lie down and die in despair … a defeated, dishonored man? Do my enemies begin to dig my grave? What then? Shall I yield to the whisper of fear, and give up the battle, and with it give up all hope? Far from it. [No way!] There is life in me yet: -I shall not die.- Vigor will return and remove my weakness: -I shall live.- The Lord lives, and I shall live also. My mouth shall again be opened: -I shall declare the works of Jehovah.- Yes, and I shall speak of the present trouble as another instance of the wonder-working faithfulness and love of the Lord my God. Those who would gladly measure me for my coffin had better wait a bit; for -the Lord hath chastened me sore, [severely disciplined me] but he hath not given me over unto death.- Glory be to His name for ever! I am immortal till my work is done. Till the Lord wills it no vault [coffin] can close upon me.

A BACKSLIDER, if there be a spark of life left in him, will groan after restoration. In this renewal the same exercise of grace is required as at our conversion. We needed repentance then; we certainly need it now. We wanted faith that we might come to Christ at first; only the same grace can bring us to Jesus now. We wanted a word from the Most High, a word from the lip of the loving One to end our fears then; we shall soon discover, when under a sense of present sin, that we need it now. No man can be renewed without as real and true a manifestation of the Holy Spirit's energy as he felt at first because the work is as great, and flesh and blood are as much in the way now as ever they were.
Let personal weakness, 0 Christian, be an argument to make you pray earnestly to God for help. Remember David, when he felt himself to be powerless, did not fold his arms or close his lips, but he hastened to the mercy seat with "Renew a right spirit within me." Although you, unaided, can do nothing to add to salvation, let not that doctrine [don’t let that teaching] make you sleep; but let it be a goad [a cattle-prod] in your side to drive you with an awful earnestness to Israel's strong Helper. 0 that you may have grace to plead with God, as though you were pleading for your very life, "Lord, renew a right spirit within me." He who sincerely prays to God to do this will prove his honesty by using the means through which God works. Be much in prayer; live much on the Word of God; kill the lusts [Recon yourself dead to sins Romans 6:6] that have driven your Lord from you; be careful to watch over the future uprisings of sin. The Lord has His own appointed ways; sit by the wayside and you will be ready when He passes by. Continue in all those blessed ordinances that will foster and nourish your dying graces; and, knowing that all the power must proceed from Him, cease not to cry, "Renew a right spirit within me."

Since then, my inward experience has often been a wilderness; but You have owned [claimed] me still as Your beloved, and poured streams of love and grace into me to gladden me [to cheer me] and make me fruitful. Yes, when my outward circumstances have been at the worst, and I have wandered in a land of drought, Your sweet presence has solaced [comforted] me. Be not lifted up by worldly successes so as to be ashamed of the truth or of the poor church with which you have been associated. Follow Jesus into the wilderness: bear the cross with Him when the heat of persecution grows hot. He owned [stood up and stands up for and defends you still. HE’s got your back’] You, 0 my soul, in your poverty and shame—never be so treacherous as to be ashamed of Him. 0 for more shame at the thought of being ashamed of my best Beloved! Jesus, my soul cleaves to You.

“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.
Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner. But, because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus. You took my place on the cross and provided the way for me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would atone for my sins.
Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free.
You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
Thank you, Father, for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

His ministry continues to flourish from the original (Spurgeon’s) Metropolitan Tabernacle, a church fellowship began in 1650 with the present building constructed by members of the congregation in 1861 and rebuilt after the second world war..
Spurgeon's written materials are for the edification of the church body as well as a great benefit, blessing and challenge to all readers. Our desire is that the written Word of God will become the Living Word in each and every reader. To this end, a calendar is indexed (top, right) on the Home page of DailySpurgeon.com for daily study, meditation and prayer. God has preserved His Word through The Masoretic Hebrew and Aramaic languages of the Old Testament and the GreekTextus Receptus of the New Testament:
In contrast, the Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not translated from the 5,321 Majority Text Greek manuscripts, that became the Textus Receptus [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus].
The Sinaiticus and Vaticanus manuscripts present variant readings rather than that of the well-established and settled majority Texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.
Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:
thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]
God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible English Version (KJV) because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort or Nestle & Aland.is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on defective text. Those who honor the Word of God must not promote any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, inerrant unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it must be to Him if His people now chose versions that are based on the defective and inferior Greek manuscript invented by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.
