DAILY SPURGEON and DEVOTION  for September 5th *A.D. 2026 written and calendared by Charles Spurgeon

—*A.D. does NOT mean “After Death”.

 It abbreviates Anno Domini;
… a Latin phrase adopted into English that means:
* “Year of our Lord."

NEW POSTING:
BC/AD versus BCE/CE   YES!   THE DIFFERENCE DOES MATTER!
Defend the Truth. Stand up  against error, Won’t you?  ...More
Critics say the new terms are meaningless because, just like AD and BC, they still denote years in relation to the life of [Jesus] The Christ [Anointed Messiah and King of Kings].

Dr. Michael Nazir-Ali, the former Bishop of Rochester, said: 'I think this amounts to the dumbing down of the Christian basis of our culture, language and history. These changes are unnecessary and they don't achieve what the BBC wants them to achieve.

'Whether you use Common Era or Anno Domini, the date is actually still the same and the reference point is still the birth of [Jesus] Christ.'

The Bridge to Babylon video is a  Treatise  of the explosion of over 1,000 English translations  of the Bible. The Continual attempts to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible. They don’t  prevail because GOD Himself has preserved and protected His Inspired  [God Breathed] Holy Words from heresy, blasphemy, confusion and error.

Over five Billion King James Bibles  have been circulated worldwide, This is more than all the other translations put together.

Spiritual Discernment:

Is this Website of God?   Is it trustworthy?

God gives the following guidance in His WORD to discern whether every spirit is to be believed or not.

1 John 4:1-3

Chapter 4
1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try [test] the spirits whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye [by this you all know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [confesses] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not [doesn’t confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof [of which] ye [you all] have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore, I hereby confess that

"Jesus Christ is come [is here] manifested in the flesh!” by the Body of Christ; His Church.

TODAY’S SERMON from The Metropolitan Tabernacle  in London. U.K.)

EXPERIENCING GOD FIRST HAND   Psalm 34:8     with Dr. Peter Masters

A burden of King David was in conveying the experiences he had with God that caused God’s Word to proclaim that David “Was a man after God’s own heart”. He spells out the experiences in his life of  God's interventions and, the terms on which God’s Word holds David in such high regard.

A  SINNER’S PRAYER September 5th

PRAYER 7,    Part  5 of 7 September 5th   LET ALL THE PEOPLE PRAISE THEE.

Dear Lord Jesus, Our heart knows the Father’s love, for we have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, “Abba Father. [Daddy, Papa, Dada]” And we joy and rejoice in the redemption of our spirits, and we expect the redemption of our bodies, when, at the coming of the Lord they too shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  O Jesus,

Thou [You]  wilt bring Thy [Your] Israel out of Egypt, and not a hoof  [not one thing] shall be left behind; no, not a bone, nor a fragment of Thine [Your] elect shall be left in the hands of the adversary [enemy]. We shall come out clean, delivered by Him Who doeth [does] nothing by halves [half-way], but Who on the cross said, “It is finished.” Who much more will say it on His throne: Glory be unto Father, Son and Holy Ghost, Who hath lifted us up from our ruin and condemnation, and made us new creatures, and justified us, and guaranteed us eternal life, which eternal life shall be manifested at the coming of the Lord.  All glory be unto His ever blessed name for ever and ever!

And now, Lord, during the few days that remain to us here below, be it all our business to cry,

“Behold [Look!]  the Lamb!” Oh!  teach these hearts to be always conscious of Thy [Your] love; and then these lips, that they may set out as best they can by Thy divine help the matchless story of the Cross.

Oh! do give us to win many to Jesus; let us not be barren, [child-less] but may we have to cry that we are the beloved of the Lord, and our offspring [children] with us. May we have many spiritual offspring that shall go with us to the throne, that we may say before Him,

“I and the children that Thou hast given me.”

[In the name of the Lord Jesus, and for His sake, Amen.
(Attachment Prayer 7)]

ANECDOTE 37: September 5th    FOR CHRIST’S SAKE.

I met, in one of Samuel Rutherford’s letters, an extraordinary expression, where he speaks of the coals of divine wrath all falling upon the head of Christ, so that not one might fall upon his people.  “ And yet,” saith he, “ if one of those coals should drop from his head upon mine, and did utterly consume me,  yet if I felt it was a part of the coals that fell on him, and I was bearing it for his sake, and in communion with him, I would choose it for my heaven.” That is a strong thing to say, that to suffer with Christ would be his heaven, if he assuredly knew that it was for and with Christ that he was suffering. Oh! there is indeed a heavenliness about suffering for Jesus. His cross hath such a majesty and mystery of delight in it, that, the more heavy it becometh [it becomes], the more lightly doth [does]  it  sit upon the believer’s shoulders.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK  September 5th   A STRONG HEART

-WAIT ON THE LORD: BE OF GOOD COURAGE, AND HE SHALL STRENGTHEN THINE [YOUR] HEART: wait, I say, on the Lord -  Psalm 27:14

-Aguarda a Jehova; Esfuerzate, y alientese tu corazon: Sí, espera a Jehova- Salmos 27:14

Wait! Wait! Let your waiting be on the Lord! He is worth waiting for. He never disappoints the waiting soul.  While waiting keep up your spirits. Expect a great deliverance, and be ready to praise God for it.  The promise which should cheer you is in the middle of the verse  “He shall strengthen thine [your]  heart.”  This goes at once to the place where you need help. If the heart be sound, all the rest of the system will work well.

The heart wants calming and cheering; and both of these will come if it be strengthened. A forceful heart rests and rejoices, and throbs force into the whole man. No one else can get at that secret urn of life [life source], the heart, so as to pour strength into it. He alone who made it can make it strong.

God is full of strength, and, therefore, He can impart it to those who need it.  Oh, be brave; for the Lord will impart His strength to you, and you shall be calm in tempest, and glad in sorrow.

He who penned [wrote] these lines can write as David did “Wait, I say, on the Lord.”  I do, indeed, say it. I know by long and deep experience that it is good for me to wait upon the Lord.

Prayer: Thank You Heavenly Father, that You strengthen my heart when I take courage and wait on You. Forgive me if in my haste I have failed to wait on You in Your  name Lord Jesus, I pray, and for Your sake, Amen.

MORNING      September 5th

"In the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world."
Philippians 2:15
—En medio de la nación maligna y perversa, entre los cuales resplandecéis como luminares
en el mundo —Filipenses 2:15

We use lights to make manifest. A Christian man should so shine in his life, that a person could not live with him a week without knowing the gospel. His conversation should be such that all who are about him should clearly perceive whose he is, and whom he serves; and should see the image of Jesus reflected in his daily actions. Lights [like flashlights and lanterns]   are intended for guidance. We are to help those around us who are in the dark. We are to hold forth to them the Word of life. We are to point sinners to the Saviour, and the weary [worn-out, sick and tired] to a divine resting-place.

Men sometimes read their Bibles, and fail to understand them; we should be ready, like Philip, to instruct the inquirer in the meaning of God's Word, the way of salvation, and the life of godliness. Lights are also used for warning. On our rocks and shoals [reefs] a light-house is sure to be erected. Christian men should know that there are many false lights [signals] shown everywhere in the world, and therefore the right light is needed.

The wreckers of [from] Satan are always abroad, tempting the ungodly to sin under the name of pleasure; they hoist the wrong light [signal], be it ours [it’s our job] to put up the true light [correct color and pattern] upon every dangerous rock, to point out every sin, and tell what it leads to, that so we may be clear of the blood of all men, shining as lights in the world.

Lights also have a very cheering influence, and so have Christians. A Christian ought to be a comforter, with kind words on his lips, and sympathy in his heart; he should carry sunshine wherever he goes, and diffuse happiness around him.

Gracious Spirit dwell with me;
     I myself would gracious be,
And with words that help and heal
Would thy life in mine reveal, [Would reveal your life in mine]
And with actions bold and meek
Would for [Jesus] Christ my Saviour speak.

EVENING September 5th

IF YE BE LED OF THE SPIRIT, YE ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW." —Galatians 5:18

Mas si sois guiados del Espíritu, no estáis bajo la ley. —Gálatas 5:18

HE who looks at his own character and position from a legal point of view will not only despair when he comes to the end of his reckoning,  but if he be a wise man he will despair at the beginning; for if we are to be judged on the footing of the law, no living flesh shall be justified.

How blessed to know that we dwell [live] in the domains of grace and not of law! When thinking of my state before God the question is not, "Am I perfect in myself before the law?" but,

"Am I perfect in Christ Jesus?" That is a very different matter. We need not inquire, "Am I without sin naturally?"  but, "Have I been washed in the fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness?"

It is not "Am I in myself well pleasing to God?" but it is "Am I accepted in the Beloved   [in Jesus Christ]?" The Christian views his evidences from the top of Sinai, and grows alarmed concerning his salvation; it were [would have been] better far if he read his title by the light of Calvary.

"Why [Well] ," says he, "my faith has unbelief in it, it is not able to save me." Suppose he had considered the object of his faith instead of his faith [alone], then he would have said, "There is no failure in Him, and therefore I am safe."

He sighs over his hope: "Ah! my hope is marred and dimmed by an anxious carefulness about present things; how can I be accepted?"  Had he regarded  the  ground of his hope, he would have seen that the promise of God stands sure, and that whatever our doubts may be, the oath and promise never fail.

Ah, believer, it is safer always for you to be led of the Spirit into gospel liberty than to wear legal fetters [shackles].

Judge yourself at what Christ is rather than at what you are. Satan will try to mar [steal] your peace by reminding you of your sinfulness and imperfections: you can only meet his accusations by faithfully adhering to the *gospel and refusing to wear [accept] the yoke of bondage.

A Sinner’s Prayer::
A person may come to Jesus by  believing and (whole heartedly) praying like this:
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You.  I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would deserve and spend forever in Hell.
I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion)  and justifying my own behavior as "good"  or "OK" will never  save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You   right now.  Lord Jesus.   Please save me.  I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know  You always keep your word.  Please save me. You say and  it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming  to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I  give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from  every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done)  and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s  presence.  Thank you for forgiving  all of  my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve.  (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed [poured out] for me at Calvary [at the cross].
Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.
Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly.  But,  because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus.  You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for  me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who, gave up  His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and  after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with  You  in heaven.
I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart.   Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth.,  Amen.”
Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, The Comforter, The Paraclete [true friend who is by your side and always has your back]  for the new life in Jesus and the  victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for Your  empowerment  to see  this promise fulfilled. Romans 6:11
Thank you that you, Holy Spirit,  always exalt [lift up] the Lord Jesus.  John 16:8-11With all my heart, I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me.
I ask now that You live Your life through me in Your name, Lord Jesus  I pray, Amen.Truly Jehovah is the living God, for He made me live.

My new life even in its pining [sorrowing is clear proof to me that the Lord can kill and make alive. He is the only God. He is all that is great, gracious, and glorious, and my quickened [enlivened] soul adores Him as the great I AM. All glory be unto His sacred name!

As long as I live, I will praise Him.

Prayer: Thank You Father, that we shall know that You are the Lord, when You have opened and brought us up out of our graves.

- Help me to always to be assured and comforted in You Lord Jesus in Your name I pray, Amen.

… and pray for the saving of many souls and edifying [building up]  of believers.

The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9

Pray also that believers will be taught God’s eternal Word by the Holy Spirit. His WORD is protected and preserved by God, Himself.

MORNING September 3rd  "Thou whom my soul loveth. "—Song of Solomon 1:7

— Tú, á quien ama mi alma— Cantar de los Cantares de Cantares 1:7

IT is well to be able, without any "if" or "but," to say of the Lord Jesus—

"Thou whom my soul loveth."

Many can only say of Jesus that they hope they love Him; they trust they love Him; but only a poor and shallow experience will be content to stay there.

No one ought to give any rest to his spirit till he feels quite sure about a matter of such vital importance. We ought not to be satisfied with a superficial hope that Jesus loves us, and with a bare trust that we love Him.

The old saints did not generally speak with "buts," and "ifs," and "hopes”, [“hope-sos”] and "trusts," but they spoke positively and plainly.

"I know whom I have believed," says Paul.

"I know that my Redeemer liveth," says Job.

Get positive knowledge of your love of Jesus, and do not be satisfied until you can speak of your interest in Him as a reality that you have made sure by having received the witness of the Holy Spirit and His seal on your soul by faith.

True love to [Jesus] Christ is in every case the Holy Spirit's work, and must be wrought [done] in the heart by Him. He is the efficient cause of it; but
the logical reason why we love Jesus lies in Himself.

Why do we love Jesus? Because He first loved us.

Why do we love Jesus? Because He “gave Himself for us.”

We have life through His death; we have peace through His blood.

Though He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor.

Why do we love Jesus? Because of the excellency of His person.

We are filled with a sense of His beauty, an admiration of His charms, and a consciousness of His infinite perfection! His greatness, goodness, and loveliness, in one resplendent ray, combine to enchant the soul till it is so ravished that it exclaims,

"Yea [Yes], He is altogether lovely."

Blessed love this—a love which binds the heart with chains more soft [softer] than silk, and yet more firm than diamond!

EVENING September 3rd

"THE LORD TRIETH THE RIGHTEOUS. " —Psalm 11:5

—Jehová prueba al justo —Salmos 11:5

ALL events are under the control of Providence; consequently, all the trials of our outward life are traceable at once to the great First Cause [Almighty God].

Out of the golden gate of God's ordinance the armies of trial march forth in array [military drill formation], clad in their iron armor and armed with weapons of war.

All providences are doors to trial. Even our mercies, like roses, have their thorns. Men may be drowned in seas of prosperity as well as in rivers of affliction. Our mountains are not too high, and our valleys are not too low for temptations: trials lurk on all roads.

Everywhere, above and beneath, we are beset and surrounded with dangers.

Yet no shower [rain] falls unpermitted from the threatening cloud; every drop has its order before it hastens to the earth. The trials that come from God are sent to prove and strengthen our graces, and so at once to illustrate the power of divine grace, to test the genuineness of our virtues, and to add to their energy.

Our Lord in His infinite wisdom and superabundant love, sets so high a value on His people's faith that He will not screen them from those trials by which faith is strengthened.

You would never have possessed the precious faith that now supports you without the fiery trial of your faith.

You are a tree that never would have rooted so well if the wind had not rocked you to and fro, and made you take firm hold on the precious truths of the covenant of grace.

Worldly ease is a great foe [enemy] to faith; it loosens the joints of holy valor [bravery] and snaps the sinews of sacred courage. The balloon never rises until the cords [that hold it] are cut;

affliction does this sharp service for believing souls.

While the wheat sleeps comfortably in the husk it is useless to man; it must be threshed [separated] out of its resting place before its value can be known.

Thus, it is well that Jehovah tries the righteous, for it causes them to grow rich toward God.

A SINNER’S PRAYER September 3rd

Whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this. Won’t you?

“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.

Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.

Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner. But, because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus. You took my place on the cross and provided the way for me to be forgiven. Thank You.

Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would atone for my sins.

Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free.

You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.

Thank you, Father, for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Romans 6:11

Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always give witness to and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 16:8-11

With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.

Live Your life in me, Lord Jesus, in Your name I pray, Amen.

Sing:  This Little Light of Mine  Children’s  Chorus  by JAMJAR   Sing-along won’t you?  This PRAISE music came to mind from today’s  ANECDOTE.

Better [to] have two lights than only one. The light of creation is a bright light. God may be seen in the stars; his name is written in gilt letters on the brow of night; you may discover his glory in the ocean waves, yea, in the trees of the field; but it is better to read it in two books than in one.

David Hocking (click here) enlightens us  with  historical facts that make  the case for the BEST Bible edition in English is time well spent.

You will find it here [in the Bible] more clearly revealed; for he has written this book himself, and he has given you the key to understand it, through the Holy Spirit. Ah, beloved, let us thank God for this Bible; let us love it; let us count it more precious than much fine gold.

[The Authorized King James Version, (AKJV) used  by Spurgeon is God’s preserved,  inerrant and immutable Word.

David Hocking  makes the case for the Best English translation of the Bible, pointing out the error of new Critical Text and its erroneous Critical Text Theory used in all other modern English translations due to the use of Westcott and Hort’s inferior Greek New Testament that uses incomplete and conflicting Greek manuscripts rather than the coherent and reliable Traditional Text [Received Text (Textus Receptus)] for the New Testament and the Masoretic Hebrew Text for the New and Old Testament respectively of the Authorized King James Bible.

“The Bible, The whole Bible and Nothing but the Bible” is an expression heard often from David Hocking.

(2) SUGGESTED SERMONS:

Behold Your God     Isaiah 40:9    with Dr. Peter Masters

URL:

Our society today knows so little about almighty God, having willfully shut Him out of all consideration. But look, says the Bible, at His attributes, ways and plans. Consider the uniqueness of God and compare His actions, plans and promises with those of human society.

PRAISE: (Two Beloved Sacred Hymns)

I Will Sing The Wondrous Story

Blessed Assurance

(…be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody [music] in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19 )

SACRED PRAISES: August 30th

The Love of God    Bill Gaither and Choir
(sing-along won’t you?)
…be filled with the spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody [music] in your heart to the lord; Ephesians 5:18-19

I Love You Lord   by Jared Reynolds
In loving memory of  Jon Edward Riley  (1971-2021) who would sometimes just bust-out singing this beautiful praise;  often, on the way to church.

…“Later” [see-ya later] was how he always said farewell  … he would never say “good-bye”.  Remembering how Jon always said  “Later” brings a special  joy to those he loved so well.

… and brings to mind the promise of the song:

’Till We Meet Again.  By Jeremiah Rankin (1880) with Antrim Mennonite Choir

Amen.

TODAY’S SERMON:

From The Metropolitan Tabernacle (C.H. Spurgeon 1834-1892)
Duty and Fruits of Brotherly Love    1 John 4:7     with Dr. Peter Masters

From the warning against false teachers, the apostle turns again to the great duty of love to fellow believers, providing fourteen compelling reasons (with benefits) for honoring this obligation. Here love is defined, its actions and activities listed, and the reasons surveyed.

Do Muslims and Christians Worship the Same God?     NO! (Click HERE to find out why.)

The natural will is cold, hard iron, which cannot be hammered into form, but the renewed will, like molten metal, is soon molded by the hand of [God’s] grace. In the fleshy heart there is a tenderness of the affections.

The hard heart does not love the Redeemer, but the renewed heart burns with affection towards Him. The hard heart is selfish and coldly demands, "Why should I weep for sin? Why should I love the Lord?"

But the heart of flesh says;

"Lord, You know that I love You; help me to love You more!"

Many are the privileges of this renewed heart;   " 'Tis [It is] here the [Holy] Spirit dwells, 'tis here that Jesus rests."  It is fitted to receive every spiritual blessing, and every blessing comes to it. It is prepared to yield every heavenly fruit to the honor and praise of God, and therefore the Lord delights in it.

A tender heart is the best defense against sin, and the best preparation for heaven. A renewed heart stands on its watchtower [on guard] looking for the coming of the Lord Jesus.

Have you [Do you have] this heart of flesh?

[Pray and Ask for it now,  won’t you?]

Requiem Note: *Charles Dumah Riley, Sr. (AKA: Daddy, "CD", and Paw Paw) 1897 – 1987

JM witnessed the last few hours of his *Daddy’s life on earth coming to an end and heard him say only “Amen” over and over, in the belief  that he was affirming and agreeing with God’s will in the conclusion of his own life’s and giving a testimony of God’s goodness to him and his agreement and his surrender to his earthly departure to be eternally present with the Lord Jesus.

Amen... Amen… and  Amen!

My Daddy’s  prayer before every meal, always offered with all gravity, reverence and always heard in the unique sound of his deep Bass prayer voice:

“Accept our thanks for these and all other blessings, we humbly ask in Thy name, Amen.”

The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Pray also that believers will be taught by the Holy Spirit to rightly divide God’s Holy Word preserved by God, Himself.

The Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not majority texts, [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.

Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the  Greek Textus Receptus.

Psalm 119:89-90

ל Lamed

89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:

thou hast established the earth, and it abideth [abides].

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

A SINNER’S PRAYER: … FOR WHOSOEVER:

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved
… pray like this, won’t you?

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am lost. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity in Hell. My nature and behavior has been sinful from birth. Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m sorry for each and every sin I have ever done and look to You to forgive them all.

I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.

I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, as God’s sacrifice for my sin.

Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You to be my Savior and Lord.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I want to follow You from now on.

You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross.

Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me still

Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is alive and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave.

Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and Holy Spirit for Your comfort and guidance in all things.

With all my heart, thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. In your name, I pray, Amen.

Philippians Chapter 4:

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth [passes] all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [strengthens] me.

14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Cesar’s household.

23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Why The Traditional  Greek Text Also Known As The Received Text [Latin: Textus Receptus] TR is Inspired, Inerrant and Immutable.

By Dr. David Sorenson

In addition to overwhelming evidence of authenticity from the 5,321 Majority Text Greek manuscripts, this link gives Translational Evidence that proves the age of the Textus Receptus to be older than both the  Codices Sinaiticus and Vaticanus,
(The Primary Greek sources used in all Critical Text translations.)

This includes Westcott and Hort, Nestle and Aland and the Codices Sinaiticus and *Vaticanus.

*The final Greek Text so deemed, authorized and sanctioned by the Catholic Church and The Vatican.

The Lord Jesus *Christ  [The*Anointed Messiah]

was supernaturally Fathered by the Holy Ghost,  and born of a teen-aged virgin girl named  Mary 2026 years ago in Bethlehem of Judea.

He was crucified, and His lifeless body was placed in a tomb. After three days, GOD  brought Him back to life again, and raised HIM from the dead victorious over sin, death and the grave.

He is GOD’S Incarnate WORD and Everlasting SACRIFICE, The LAMB of GOD, [THE WORD of GOD made flesh.]  The CHURCH is the BODY of *Christ,
*[The MESSIAH.]

[The CHURCH] is His espoused [Legally Bound] Bride, for whom HE will come again to consummate their Marriage in the Marriag                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  and Protected Words of GOD.
These WORDS are God-Breathed, [Spoken] Eternal WORDS spoken by Almighty GOD. The same GOD who calls Himself “I AM”, is Omni-Lingual, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Immutable, All-Wise, Omnipresent, Eternally and Supremely Holy. He is the One-and-Only Triune, Three-in-One GOD.

“I and my Father are one”.  John 10:30

________________________________

1 John 5:7  Is the fundamental scriptural  basis for the doctrine and essential tenet of the Trinity. [The Triune, [Three-in-One] GOD in-Three Persons   (This verse has been omitted or Changed to diminish the authority and the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ or has been Removed entirely from all Critical Text translations by apostates that hold to the untenable goal of False Doctrine that gives rise to all manner of Cults, False Teaching, Heresies, false Prophets, Agnostics, Gnostics, Atheists and  Pagans.

Therefore, The incarnate WORD of GOD, [Jesus *Christ
(*The Anointed MESSIAH) and His Father are ONE.]  John 10:30

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, [Jesus Christ] and the Holy Ghost: and
THESE THREE ARE ONE. John 10:30

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, [Holy Ghost] and the Water [Life of the Father], and the Blood; [The Sacrificial Blood of Jesus Christ]: and these three AGREE IN ONE. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son,  [The LORD Jesus *Christ
*(The Anointed Messiah)].

GOD calls Himself “I AM” and Jesus Christ is The WORD made Flesh, GOD’s WORD is infinite and will endure FOREVER, from Eternity Past through the never-ending Eternal Future.

Why Cults, False Teachers, Heretics and Critical Text adherents  have tried to take   1 John 5:7   out of the Holy Bible.

By Dr. Phil Stringer

1 John 5:7 Is The Great Trinitarian Proof Text of The Bible. (That establishes the  immutable Doctrine of the Trinity.)

Daniel Webster [Writer of the Webster’s Dictionary] was once asked. “Does it not bother you to believe in the Trinity since you cannot explain it?

His answer was,  “What would bother me would be to have a God so small that I could fully explain Him.”

The Traditional Text: It's History & Manifestation

By Dr. David Sorenson

In addition to evidence of authenticity from the 5,321 Majority Text manuscripts, this link presents Translational Evidence that the Traditional Text is Inerrant, Infallible and is the Inspired [Word-by-Word, GOD-Breathed Greek Text that moved the Prophets and Apostles to write precisely the Greek and Hebrew words they were told to write by the Holy Ghost]

The Traditional Text.  Length: (33:56 minutes)

The Traditional Greek Text was printed, not written by Desiderius Erasmus and was used  in the FIRST Christian Church at Antioch. It was later called The Received Text [vis. Latin: The Textus Receptus TR].

Over Five Billion King James Bibles, the 1769 Edition [NOT the NEW King James Bibles based on the inferior Critical Greek Text] account for more sales world-wide than any other version or edition of the Holy Bible.

This is more than all other Bible Versions and Editions Combined.
______________________________________

The Critical Text vs. The Traditional Text
(Also Known As The Received Text , The Textus Receptus  TR , and The Authorised Version AV and AKJV)

By Dr. David Sorenson

…So, Dr. Sorenson, “I hear You are King James Only.”

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.

The issue is not translational.

Marketing ploys by publishing companies with little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions  are:

  • Easier to read.

  • More modern.

  • More accurate (Not  true)

The truth is that the KJV remains The most popular. (is still the most popularly read Bible in America). Over five billion copies of the King James (1769) is greater than all the other versions and editions combined.

The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.

On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

… Jon’s testimony is from one who, by grace through faith was forever accepted in the Beloved; who’s loving ways brought the good news of Jesus to many. and one who is present with the LORD in glory forever. One with whom we’ll one day meet again.

Amen.

Jon would sometimes just sing-out some of the following songs on the way to church, or sometimes just singing along with the Elvis Gospel CD that was always in our F-150’s CD player while riding with his Dad or,

Best of all, when an inspired, spontaneous praise from the Lord would just pop out from his joyful and loving heart.

SACRED LITERATURE:

ORIGINAL TEXT:
The Pilgrim’s Progress,   1678 by John Bunyan

Since this original publication it has NEVER been out of print.

"All the flowers in God's garden are double." There is no single mercy. You may think you have but one mercy, but you shall find it to be a whole cluster of mercies. It is abounding mercy. Millions have received it, yet far from its being exhausted, it is as fresh, as full, and as free as ever.

It is unfailing mercy. It will never leave you. If mercy is your friend, mercy will be with you in temptation to keep you from yielding; with you in trouble to prevent you from sinking; with you [in] living to be the light and life of your countenance; and with you [in]  dying  to be the joy of your soul when earthly comfort is ebbing fast [slipping away].

You may want to read the daily selections as a bed time story for you and your little ones. .

It’s the world’s most famous allegory and is  the all-time, world-wide best seller second only to the Bible. Some believe it to be the world’s first novel written in English.

It will bless, encourage  and instruct pilgrims (readers and seekers) of all ages for a life-time.

My Lord “Will-be-will” [Mr. Self-will] is a great blusterer, [one who roars loudly with empty threats, menaces or protests] and it is hard to subject him to God's will; but when the heart of flesh is given, the will quivers like an aspen leaf in every breath of heaven, and bows like a willow in every breeze of God's Spirit.

SACRED LITERATURE:

THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS   by  John Bunyan  is the most famous Allegory, world-wide and the Most widely Published Book of all time and was printed in over 200 Languages. It has NEVER,  since 1698, been  out-of-print.

Only The King James Bible was more widely published than The Pilgrim’s Progress.

ONLINE PRINT LIBRARY: (No Enrollment Fee or Registration required)

BUNYAN’S  ORIGINAL of 1678: The Pilgrim’s Progress  Published in 1853  by Logos

REVISED VERSION:              The Pilgrim’s Progrefs  [sic] 1999 by Barry E. Horner

OLD ENGLISH  PRINT: The Pilgrim’s Progress  Part II   AKA  Christiana
(Christian’s wife, Christiana and children; their dangerous journey, and safe arrival at the desired country.)

Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were  loved and  read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible.  It’s  also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938,  250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.

Comment on Pilgrim’s Progress by Charles H. Spurgeon from the Spurgeon Sermon
“Christ in You”.

Spurgeon:  Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle]  he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.

Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah;  our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

Spurgeon Sermon: Christ in You, Preached May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27  From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29   (cit. II. THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, § 5)

You may choose to read, listen or share Pilgrim’s Progress with your little ones as a bed time story.   It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims of all ages and will create precious and enduring memories in little ears.

Spurgeon read it for the first time as a precocious five year old reader and would returned to read it over 100 times during the course of his remarkable ministry as a Baptist pastor who is  known as The Prince of Preachers .

It is an abbreviation from the Latin  words Anno Domini;  a shortened term, actually meaning:   “Year of our Lord”.

PRAYER 7, Part 4 of 7 LET ALL THE PEOPLE PRAISE THEE by C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892

Oh, the matchless love of God

[Sing The Love of God]!

Truly if there be any glory it must be all the Lord’s; if there be any virtue it is the result of grace; if there be anything whatsoever that lifts us above the devil himself it is the work of the Divine [Holy] Spirit, to whom be glory [to whom all glory belongs]!

And now at the remembrance of all this, and being in Thy presence, we do yet rejoice that our unrighteousness is covered [forgiven]; from condemnation we are free: and we are the favored of the Lord. Thou hast [You have] given us, O Lord, to taste of that love which is not merely laid up [kept in store] for us, but we have enjoyed it, and do enjoy it still. [In the name of the Lord Jesus] Amen.

ANECDOTE 36: Christ in the Heart a Disinfectant. By C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892

Myrrh, again was used as a disinfectant. When the fever is abroad [someone has fever] , we know people who wear little bags of camphor about their necks. They [the little bags] may be very good; I do not know. But the Orientals [from the East] believed that, in times of pest and plague, a little bag of myrrh worn between the breasts would be of essential service to whoever might carry it. And there doubtless is some power in myrrh to preserve from infectious disease.

Well, brethren, certain I am it is so with Christ. You have to go into the world, which is like a great lazar-house; [Hospice for the gravely ill] but if you carry Christ with you, you will never catch the world’s diseases. A man may be worth never [ever] so much money [but] he will never get worldly if he keepeth [keeps] Christ on his heart.

A man may have to tug and toil for his livelihood, and be very poor but he will never be discontented and murmuring if he lives close to Christ.

Oh, you who have to handle the world, See to it that you handle [hold onto]  the Master [the Lord Jesus] more than the world. Some of you have to work with [or be in the presence of] drunken and swearing men; others are cast into the midst of frivolities [self-centeredness or amusements];

oh, take my Master with you! and sin’s plagues can have no influence upon your moral nature.

FAITH'S CHECKBOOK  September 5 WITH ME WHEREVER I AM C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892

In The Garden by Alan Jackson, Sing-along won’t you?

-The Lord will be with you- 1 Chronicles 22:16-

Jehova será contigo- 1 Cronicas 22:16

This was a great mercy for Jehoshaphat, for a great multitude had come out against him [in battle]; and it will be a great mercy for me, for I have great need, and I have no might or wisdom. If the Lord be with me, it matters little [it doesn’t matter much] who may desert [abandon] me. If the Lord be with me, I shall conquer in the battle of life, and the greater my trials the more glorious will be my victory. How can I be sure that the Lord is with me?

For certain He is with me if I am with Him.

If I trust in His faithfulness, believe His words, and obey His commands, He is assuredly with me. If I am on Satan’s side God is against me, and cannot be otherwise; but

if I live to honor God I may be sure that He will honor me.

I am quite sure that God is with me if Jesus is my sole and only Savior. If I have placed my soul in the hands of God’s Only-begotten Son, then I may be sure that the Father will put forth all His power to preserve me, that His Son may not be dishonored.

Oh for faith to take hold upon the short but sweet text for today! O Lord, fulfill this word to thy servant! Be with me in the house, in the street, in the field, in the shop, in company, and alone. Be thou also with all thy people.

Prayer: Thank You Heavenly Father, for Your promise to be with me wherever I am. If I have

placed myself in the hands of Your Only-begotten Son, [The Lord Jesus Christ] by trusting Him to save me, then I may be sure that the You, Father will put forth all Your power to preserve me, [so] that Your Son may not be dishonored. If I trust in His faithfulness, believe His words, and obey His commands, He is assuredly with me. Thank You, Heavenly Father in the name of the Lord Jesus and for His sake, Amen.

The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9

Pray also that believers will be taught by the Holy Spirit when reading God’s eternal Word preserved by God, Himself

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [supernaturally fathered] Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but may be having eternal life. John 3:16 vis. Textus Receptus [Received Text] (faithfully taken from overwhelming majority of 5,312 extant New Testament Greek texts MT without the defective codices Sinaiticus and Vaticanus that are often in dispute with one another as to variant readings, and serve as a pretext for the frequent editions that reflect unsettled texts and denominational bias from true doctrine).

MORNING September 5 C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892

"Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!" —Psalm 120:5

-¡Ay de mí, que peregrino en Mesech, y habito entre las tiendas de Kedar!— Salmos 120:5

AS a Christian you have to live in the midst of an ungodly world, and it is of little use for you to cry "Woe is me." Jesus did not pray that you should be taken out of the world, and what He did not pray for, you need not desire. Better far in the Lord's strength to meet the difficulty, and glorify Him in it. The enemy is ever on the watch to detect inconsistency in your conduct; be therefore very holy.

Remember that the eyes of all are upon you, and that more is expected from you than from other men. Strive to give no occasion for blame.

Let your goodness be the only fault they can discover in you. Like Daniel, compel them to say of you, "We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God."

Seek to be useful as well as consistent. Perhaps you think, "If I were in a more favorable position I might serve the Lord's cause but I cannot do any good where I am," but the worse the people are among whom you live, the more they need your exertions; if they be crooked, the more you should set them straight; and if they be perverse, the more you need to turn their proud hearts to the truth. Where should the physician be but where there are many sick? Where is honor to be won by the soldier but in the hottest fire of the battle? And when weary of the strife and sin that meets you on every hand, consider that all the saints have endured the same trial.

They were not carried on beds of down [goose feathers] to heaven, and you must not expect to travel more easily than they. They had to hazard [risk] their lives to the death in the high places of the field, and you will not be crowned till you also have endured hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Therefore, "stand fast in the faith

quit you [Man-UP!] like men, be strong."

EVENING September 5 C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892

"Hast thou entered into the springs [sources] of the sea?" —Job 38:16

—¿Has entrado tú hasta los profundos de la mar? —Job 38:16

SOME things in nature must remain a mystery to the most intelligent and enterprising investigators.

Human knowledge has bounds beyond which it cannot pass.

Universal knowledge is for God alone.

If this be so in the things which are seen and temporal, I may rest assured that it is even more so in matters spiritual and eternal. Why, then, have I been torturing my brain with speculations as to destiny and will, fixed fate, and human responsibility?

I am no more able to comprehend these deep and dark truths than to find out the depths from which old ocean draws her watery stores.

Why am I so curious to know the reason of my Lord's providences, the motive of His actions, the design of His visitations?

Shall I ever be able to clasp [hold] the sun in my fist, and hold the universe in my palm? Yet these are as a drop in a bucket compared with the Lord my God. Let me not strive to understand the infinite, but spend my strength in love.

What I cannot gain by intellect I can possess by affection, and let that suffice me [be sufficient]. I cannot penetrate the heart of the sea, but I can enjoy the healthful breezes which sweep over its bosom, and I can sail over its blue waves with propitious winds. If I could enter the springs of the sea, the feat would serve no useful purpose either to myself or others; it would not save the sinking ship, or give back the drowned mariner to his weeping wife and children; neither would my solving deep mysteries avail me a single whit, for

the least love to God and the simplest act of obedience to Him are better than the profoundest knowledge.

My Lord, I leave the infinite to You, and pray that You put far from me [take away] such a love for the tree of knowledge as might keep me from the tree of life.

A SINNER’S  PRAYER

MISSION STATEMENT
Our solemn  aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus in everything. This  relies completely upon God to achieve His purpose for us through His means. We purpose, with God’s empowerment and  help,  to save the lost, comfort, strengthen and encourage believers, and  rightly divide God’s Word to proclaim the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to every creature.

The Holy Bible is God’s eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable revealed and divinely preserved Word.  It is His supernatural, complete scripture  of all revealed truth.  He brings guidance through it to us personally and to each local body of Christian believers. With God’s empowerment, we will read, study, meditate-on, trust-in  and obey God’s Holy Bible and encourage others to do the same. We hold it to be the supreme authority and the preeminent and divinely established Stare Decisis [Latin: to stand by that which is decided, the legal principle of precedence,   literally "to stand by decided matters"] in all things.

Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. And, to serve all, in love,  especially those in the household of faith. This purpose compels us to follow, and rightly present, God’s Holy Word, the Bible as God’s divinely preserved truth; the foundation of this ministry.

Tabernacle History:
The  inspired preaching, teaching, soul winning and writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon were solely based, empowered and inspired by God’s Holy Word the Bible.  His written sermons and devotional content continue to benefit today’s readers with authentic  Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. His ministry continues to flourish from the original (Spurgeon’s)  Metropolitan Tabernacle,  a church fellowship began in 1650 with the present  building constructed by members of the congregation in 1861 and rebuilt after the second world war..

Spurgeon's written materials are for the edification of the church body as well as a great benefit, blessing and challenge to all readers. Our desire is that the written Word of God will become the Living  Word in each and every reader. To this end, a calendar is indexed (top, right) on the Home page of DailySpurgeon.com for daily study, meditation and prayer. An unabridged and strictly maintained fidelity to Spurgeon’s original calendar and unabridged text is carefully guarded.

… and pray for souls to be saved and believers to be strengthened.

The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Pray also that believers will be taught by the Holy Spirit and will rightly divide God’s Holy Word preserved by God, Himself.

God has preserved His Word through The Masoretic Hebrew of the Old Testament and the GreekTextus Receptus of the New:

In contrast, the Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not translated from the  over 5,312 Majority Text Greek manuscripts, that became the Textus Receptus [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus].

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:

thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

1 Corinthians 14:33

Our Prayer: Dear Lord, empower your ministry to win many souls, and serve those in need, especially those in the household of faith, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not solicit praise of Charles H. Spurgeon or his writing or preaching. He didn’t need or want it then and wouldn’t desire it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach Christ Jesus only and him crucified.

Precaution: These Messages and prayers will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus or for gathering in in-person worship. Neither will they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word imparted by the Holy Spirit.

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV), is the authentic English Bible because it is rendered [translated into English] accurately and faithfully from the established majority of the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (The Jewish Tanakh)  These manuscripts are providentially protected of God, and always give a greater glory to God when compared to variant readings. The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

The Authorized King James version is unique also in that the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, The Crown’s Authorized Printer. No other [person or publisher] may print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

Printed Prayer: Printed prayers must not be read or offered as a substitute for personal, fervent, effectual, heart-felt, prayer. They are offered, rather, to warm the hearts of those who will presently seek a season of fervent, authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Authentic revelations from God during prayer are always consistent with His revealed Word, the Bible.

Preaching Preparation: When preparing to preach, please send us the text reference that has been chosen if you would like us to send the Spurgeon Sermon addressing the same text.

My Prayer is that You would touch, lift up, encourage and teach all who faithfully minister your Word. Bless all who minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May Your blessing and holy anointing fall fresh upon each dear reader and abide with each one who rightly divides and faithfully proclaims Your Word [The Bible]. Please save many souls; and may all be glory be yours alone. I pray this in the name of our Redeemer, The Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Our aim, with God’s  help,  is to be Christlike in all that we think, do and say. We desire to fulfill the Great Commission by taking the GOOD NEWS of Salvation by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ [The Messiah] to every creature, and to make disciples and baptize  them in the name of the Father, the Son  and the Holy Ghost.

Published Titles written by Spurgeon are included each day in DailySpurgeon.com

 Devotions are:

·       C.H. Spurgeon Prayers

·       Spurgeon’s  Illustrative Anecdotes

·       Faith’s Checkbook

·       Morning & Evening

These titles are from the inspired body of work created from the preaching and writing of Charles Haddon Spurgeon 1834-1892. He created an unexcelled  legacy of gospel preaching and exposition and is known as the “Prince of Preachers”.  Spurgeon has been and is today widely read with great benefit from the 1800’s to this present time. He is the beloved founder of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, England (Thriving TODAY through the faithful preaching of the Gospel and the Sacred Worship of Jesus the Christ [Messiah].)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, please be blessed by the winning of many souls, and give us love and compassion toward all who are in need, especially those in the household of faith. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His sake, Amen.

Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not praise or exalt  Charles H. Spurgeon beyond the honor due him. He didn’t need or want it when he was here on earth and has no need for it now, in Heaven. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach HIM and Him crucified.

Precaution: These Devotional Messages and prayers alone can not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus. Neither do they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word. (The King James version (KJV), also known also as the Authorized Version (AKJV), is the preferred English Bible because its accuracy and fidelity to the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] and the Hebrew Masoretic Text) avoid doctrinal and editorial weakness found in many contemporary editions.

Written Prayers by Spurgeon must not be offered as a substitute for personal, intimate fervent, heart-felt, prayer. They are rather intended to warm the hearts of those who are seeking a season of authentic two-way, heart-to-heart  fellowship and prayer with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible  English Version  (KJV)  because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament  Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken  and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh).  These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on only 55 hand picked inferior Greek manuscripts fabricated from either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. Both of these Greek textual sources follow an assumption that OLDER IS BETTER. Of course, this assumption is not valid if the older manuscripts contain error.

The established majority manuscripts and the Textus Receptus avoid doctrinal error, and inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings which taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

Copyright: The King James Version is distinguished by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No one other than the Crown’s printer, is allowed print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

In the United States there is no Copyright protection and the KJV  is deemed Public Domain. If a new publication changes at least a 10% of an existing  publication a lucrative Copyright can be granted. Therefore  the NKJV and many other copyrighted translations. Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is translated from the superior Greek Textus Receptus as its Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek text Source.

DEFENDING  THE  KING JAMES BIBLE    by the Millennium Bible Institute

This video presents the truth  for those who seek to learn about and use the providentially protected, preserved and immutable Holy Bible that is both inerrant [without error] and infallible and gives God alone, the utmost praise, and the greatest glory due to HIMSELF. Praise and worship are rightfully insisted upon and commanded in God’s  inspired [God-Breathed (Spoken) Word from God himself.
HOLY WORDS  that were given by God through the Holy Ghost, word by word, to His  Holy Prophets and Apostles comprise all eternal Holy Scripture. (Matthew 5:18)

HOW HAS  THE MAJORITY TEXT AND  THE TEXTUS RECEPTUS BEEN PROVIDENTIALLY PROTECTED AND PRESERVED?

The inspired, god breathed, immortal words, were  uttered, word-by-word, to the  holy prophets and apostles who were chosen of God and moved by the holy ghost. These words are protected and preserved in holy scripture and are written word-by-word and are immutable, [unchangeable] without error, and infallible [incapable of making a mistake or being wrong]. and for ever [sic] settled in heaven by God himself in the self authenticating word of god, itself.

The Authorized (King James) Holy Bible.

ל  Lamed

89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

 Psalm 119:89

Authorized (King James) Version:

21For the prophecy [prophecies] came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The complete Inside  Story of Westcott and Hort:

Brooke Foss Westcott and Fenton John Anthony Hort  (Text only)

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,

thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely  evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are  based on  defective Greek manuscript  created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.

Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson for us all:

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).
