Spurgeon’s written publications continue to benefit readers through inspired Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. His ministry continues to flourish in London’s Metropolitan Tabernacle. (Brief History) a church begun in 1650. The building was constructed by members of the congregation in 1861. It continues to thrive and flourish today.

All Bible versions that are NOT translated from the Textus Receptus [The (traditional) Received Greek Text] include variant readings that diminish the full expressions of glory and the most Holy reverence due to the Omnipotent and Almighty GOD. He preserves and protects it’s immutably in the 1769 Edition of the 1611 King James Version KJV Bible. This version is also known as the Authorized King James Version AKJV and the Authorized Version AV. ALL GLORY is due to and must be given to the Omnipotent and Omnicient LORD of ALL.
The Geneva Bible was also faithfully translated from the Greek Textus Receptus and included comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation from inspired, devoted, faithful Christian men of GOD; They were Puritan Believers known to be beyond reproach.
This Bible was first brought to Plymouth Massachusetts in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.
The traditional Textus Receptus [Received Greek Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken from more than 5,321 original Majority Greek Manuscripts MT that agree 98% with one another. Other variant readings are translations invented by either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and lack the trustworthiness of the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

Is it of God?
YES, it can! Yes, it is! Here’s why.
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
I therefore must and do audibly confess, that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh.
[All translations of the Bible that have used a Greek text translation other than the traditional and faithful Textus Receptus have ignored the Greek word “ictin” [this Greek word means “is” in English] and causes the meaning of “is here” to be changed from “is” come” [is here] to “has” come”.
This error is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists or heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come” [in the flesh].
While this is a true statement, when taken at face value, the meaning of “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; which is the valid, scriptural test of discernment to know if words are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist.
The most well documented fact in all of human history is that the Lord Jesus Christ [The Messiah] “has” come in the flesh. However, the question of much greater importance, is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] being considered and tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether the confession being made affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here], from God, in the flesh.

(AKJV) This Translation is faithfully translated by fully dedicated, preeminent linguists and scholars who were fully devoted followers of The Lord Jesus Christ. The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [the Received Text]:

[All other English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Receptus render the English translation as “Has come”.
This erroneous Translation is because inferior Greek manuscripts that do not include the Greek word “ictin” (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Textus Receptus) and therefore fail to correctly translate “Is come” [Is Here] into English.
The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV stand alone in giving the correct translation, “is here”.
The error, “has come” is self- evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics can, and sometimes do, make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is arguably the most well documented fact in all of recorded history. Indeed, it is a factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. While this is, on the surface a true statement, when “has come” replaces “is come” its altered meaning does not now provide the test of discernment as to whether a spirit [voiced or written thing being said] is either from God or from antichrist. It is true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it is essential and of crucial importance, that the confession that Jesus Christ, “is here, from God, in the flesh.” Be made aloud.
By Reading, comparing and meditating on a certain Scripture with other relevant Scriptures, God’s Word indeed self-authenticates:

PRAYER 21, Part 2 of 8 January 1st BOLDNESS AT THE THRONE OF GRACE
Now, Lord, we confess our guilt before Thee with tenderness of heart, and we pray Thee [to] seal home to every believer here that full and free, that perfect and irreversible charter of forgiveness which Thou gavest [gave] to all them that put their trust in Jesus Christ.
Lord! Thou hast [You have] said it:
“If we confess our sins, Thou art merciful and just to forgive us our sins and to save [cleanse] us from all unrighteousness.”
There is the sin confessed: there is the ransom accepted: we therefore know we have peace with God, and we bless that glorious one who hath come “to finish transgression, to make an end of sin,” to bring in everlasting righteousness, which righteousness by faith we take unto ourselves and Thou dost [do] impute [give it], unto us. Now, Lord, wilt Thou be pleased to cause all Thy children’s hearts to dance within them for joy?
Oh! help Thy people to come to Jesus again today. May we be looking unto Him today as we did at the first. May we never take off our eyes from His Divine person, from His infinite merit, from His finished work, from His living power, or from the expectancy of His speedy coming to
“judge the world in righteousness and the. people with His truth.”

ANECDOTE 152: January 1st THE TOKEN OF THE CROSS.
I had the pleasure of riding into the Leonine city in Rome a short time after the Italian troops had taken possession, [*1870, World War I] and I noticed that every house had marked up [posted] most conspicuously the [coat of] arms of the kingdom of Italy and the name of Victor Emmanuel. They were not content to have it [only] over their doors, but all over the fronts of the houses you read,
“Victor Emmanuel, King of Italy,”
showing that they were right [very] glad to escape from the dominion of the Pope, and to avow their allegiance to a constitutional king. Surely if for a human monarch and the earthly freedom which he brought men could thus set up his escutcheon [coat of arms] everywhere, you and I who believe in Jesus are bound to exhibit the blood-red token, and to keep it always conspicuous.
* In 1870 the military forces of the Kingdom of Italy captured Rome, overthrowing what was left of the Papal States, the Italian government intended to allow the pope to keep the Leonine City as a small remnant Papal State. This is the first promise to fallen man [after the original sin]. It contains the whole gospel, and the essence of the covenant of grace [God’s divine promise of salvation]. It has been in great measure fulfilled. The seed of the woman, even our Lord Jesus, was bruised in His heel, and a terrible bruising it was. How terrible will be the final bruising of the serpent’s [Satan ‘s] head! This was virtually [actually] done when Jesus took away [the power of] sin, vanquished death, and broke the power of Satan; but it awaits a still fuller accomplishment at our Lord’s Second Advent [Coming], and in the day of Judgment.
To us the promise stands as a prophecy that we shall be afflicted by the powers of evil in our lower nature, and thus bruised in our heel: but we shall triumph in Christ, who sets His foot on the old serpent’s head. Throughout this year we may have to learn the first part of this promise by experience, through the temptations of the devil, and the unkindness of the ungodly who are his seed. They may so bruise us that we may limp with our sore heel; but let us grasp the second part of the text, and we shall not be dismayed. By faith let us rejoice that
we shall still reign in Christ Jesus, the woman’s seed.
Prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus that even though the woman and all her seed shall be afflicted by the powers of evil and thus [therefore] bruised in our heel we know through Your [covenant] promise that we shall triumph with [Jesus] Christ, who sets His foot on the old serpent’s head. I now claim this and walk in the truth of this promise each day of the New Year and beyond, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

ISRAEL'S weary wanderings were all over, and the promised rest was attained. No more fiery serpents, fierce Amalekites, and howling wildernesses:
they came to the land which flowed with milk and honey,
and they ate the old corn of the land.
Perhaps this year, Christian reader, this may be your case or mine. The prospect is joyful, and if faith is in active exercise, it will yield perfect delight.
To be with Jesus in the rest which remains for the people of God is a cheering hope indeed, and to expect this glory so soon is a double bliss.
Unbelief shudders at the Jordan which still rolls between us and the goodly land, but let us rest assured that we have already experienced more ills than death at its worst can cause us. Let us banish every fearful thought, and rejoice with exceeding great joy, in the prospect that this year we shall begin to be
"forever with the Lord."
This year a part of the host [believers] will tarry [wait] on earth to do service for their Lord. If this should fall to our lot, there is no reason why the New Year's text should not still be true.
"We who have believed do enter into rest."
The Holy Spirit is the earnest [down-payment, guarantee] of our inheritance; He gives us
"glory begun below."
In heaven they are secure, and so are we preserved in Christ Jesus; there they triumph over their enemies, and we have victories too. Celestial spirits enjoy communion with their Lord and this is not denied to us; they rest in His love, and we have perfect peace in Him; they sing His praise, and it is our privilege to bless Him too.
This year we will gather celestial fruits on earthly ground where faith and hope have made the desert like the garden of the Lord. Man did eat angels' food [manna] of old, and why not now?
Oh, for grace to feed on Jesus, and so to eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan this year!

—will drive away our griefs, and set up our banners of confidence in the name of God.
Let others lament over their troubles, but we who have the sweetening tree to cast into Marah's bitter pool will magnify the Lord with joy.
Eternal [Holy] Spirit, our effectual Comforter, we who are the temples in which you dwell, will never cease from adorning [adoring] and blessing the name of Jesus.
We will, We are resolved that Jesus must have the crown of our heart's delight; we will not dishonor our Bridegroom by mourning in His presence. We are ordained to be the minstrels [singers] of the skies; let us rehearse our everlasting anthem before we sing it in the halls of the New Jerusalem.
Be glad and rejoice are two words with one sense, double joy, and blessedness upon blessedness.
Need there be any limit to our rejoicing in the Lord even now? Do not men of grace find their Lord to be henna blossoms and spikenard, calamus and cinnamon even now, and what better fragrance have they in heaven itself?
We will be glad and rejoice in thee. That last word is the meat in the dish, the kernel of the nut, and the soul of the text. What heavens are laid up in Jesus! What rivers of infinite bliss have their source and every drop of their fullness in Him!
Since, 0 sweet Lord Jesus, You are the present portion of Your people, favor us this year with such a sense of Your preciousness that from its first to its last day we may be glad and rejoice in You.
Let January open with joy in the Lord, and December close with gladness in Jesus.
A SINNER’S PRAYER January 1st
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus. Won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and it’s hopeless for me to save myself. Without you and your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell.
I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion) and justifying my own behavior as "good" or "OK" can never be enough to save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You right now. Lord Jesus. Will You please save me. I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You have said and it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to you. Thank You.
I give myself completely to You, Lord Jesus. I’m sorry for every sin I’ve done and I now turn away from each one and look to You to forgive me, save me and deliver me from future evil. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross paying the punishment that I deserve. I’m a sinner by nature and by my actions. But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed for me at the cross.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was bor n and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.
Thank you, Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly. But, because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus. You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who,gave up His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.
Thank You, righteous Father of love that you allowed Jesus to suffer and die raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
Thank you for saving me. I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart. Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth., Amen.”
Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, Comforter, Paraclete [one who comes along side] for the new life in Jesus and victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for the execution of this vow.
Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always bear witness of and exalt the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-11
With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Abide in me Lord Jesus in Your name I pray, Amen.

Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am lost. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity in Hell. My nature and behavior has been sinful from birth. Please forgive me.
I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m sorry for each and every sin I have ever done and look to You to forgive them all.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, as God’s sacrifice for my sin.
Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You to be my Savior and Lord.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I want to follow You from now on.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross.
Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me still
Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.
