PRAYER 7,   Part 4 of 7  February 5th LET ALL THE PEOPLE PRAISE THEE.
       

Oh, the matchless love of God. Truly if there be any glory it must be all the Lord’s [All Yours, Lord] ; if there be any virtue it is the result of grace; if there be anything whatsoever that lifts us above the devil himself it is the work of the Divine [Holy] Spirit, to whom be glory [to whom all glory belongs]!

And now at the remembrance of all this, and being in Thy presence, we do yet rejoice that covered [paid-in-full] is our unrighteousness; from condemnation, we are free: and we are the favored of the Lord. ANECDOTE  187: February 5th   THE RICHES OF CHRISTIAN FAITH

      

This week I had my faith much strengthened in visiting a sick woman. I would fain [strongly desire to] change places with her. Glad enough should I be to lie upon that sick bed and die in her room ; for though she has been long on the borders of the grave, and knows it, knows that each hour may probably be the last, her joy is so great, her bliss is so abundant, that you have only to speak with her and her joy overflows.  She said to me,

 

 “I prayed that if God would spare me, he would give me one soul, and he has given me five converts while I have been on this bed;”

 

and I did not wonder at it, as I saw the five dear friends sitting in the room; I did not wonder at it.  

 

— it was enough to make one a Christian [come to faith in Jesus Christ] to see her joy and her peace, and hear her talk so confidently about the time when she should see her Lord and be in his embrace forever.

 

“Ah !” says the devil to the Christian, “I will give you so much if you [will just] sin.” Our reply is,

 

“What could you give me compared with my inheritance?

My own sight [seeing] of the precious blood is for my comfort; but

 

it is the Lord’s sight [seeing]  of it which secures my safety. 

 

Even when I am unable to behold it, the Lord looks at it, and passes over me because of it. If I am not so much at ease as I ought to be, because my faith is dim, yet I am equally safe, because

 

the Lord’s eye is not dim, and He sees the blood of the great Sacrifice with steady gaze.

 

What a joy is this!  The Lord sees the deep inner meaning, the infinite fullness of all that is meant by the death of His dear Son.

 

He sees it with restful memory of justice satisfied, and all His matchless attributes glorified.

 

He beheld creation in its progress, and said,

 

“It is very good”;

 

but what does He say of redemption in its completeness? What does He say of the obedience even unto death of His Well-beloved Son? None can tell His delight in Jesus,

 

His rest in the sweet savor [complete taste and enjoyment to the fullest] which Jesus presented when He offered Himself without spot unto God.

     

Now rest we [we rest] in calm security. We have God’s Sacrifice and God’s Word to create in us a sense of perfect security.

 

He will, He must, pass over us, because He spared not [didn’t spare] our glorious Substitute. [His only begotten (sired, fathered) Son, The Lord Jesus Christ (The anointed Messiah)]

 

Justice joins hands with love to provide everlasting salvation for all the blood-besprinkled [blood-bought] ones.   [Amen.]

MORNING February 5th   "THE FATHER SENT THE SON TO BE THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD." —1 John 4:14

IT is a sweet thought that Jesus Christ did not come forth without His Father's permission, author­ity, consent, and assistance. He was sent of the Father, that He might be the Savior of men. We are too apt [likely] to forget that, while there are distinctions as to the per­sons in the Trinity [Father, Son and Holy Ghost], there are no distinctions of honor. We too frequently ascribe the honor of our salvation, or at least the depths of its benevolence, more to Jesus Christ than to the Father.
This is a very great mistake. Jesus came, but didn't His Father send Him? He spoke wondrously, but, didn't His Father pour grace into His lips, that He might be an able minister of the new covenant [God’s divine promise]? He who knows the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost as he should know them, never sets one before another in his love; he sees them at Bethlehem, at Gethsemane, and on Calvary,

all equally engaged in the work of salvation.

 

O Christian, have you put your confidence in the Man Christ Jesus? Have you placed your reliance solely on Him? And are you united with Him? [If so,] Then believe that

 

you are united unto the God of heaven.

 

Since you are a brother to the Man Christ Jesus, and hold closest fellowship [with him] ,

 

you are linked with God the Eternal, and "the Ancient of days";  your Father and your friend.

 

        Did you ever consider the depth of love in the heart of Jehovah, when God the Father equipped His Son for the great enterprise of mercy? If not, let this be your day's meditation.

The Father sent Him!

 

Contemplate that subject. Think how Jesus works what the Father wills. In the wounds of the dying Savior see the love of the great I AM [GOD].

 

 Let every thought of Jesus be also connected with the Eternal, ever-blessed God, for

 

"It pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief." [at the Cross of Calvary]

 

EVENING February 5th  "AT THAT TIME JESUS ANSWERED. " —Matthew 11:25

THIS is a singular [unique] way in which to begin a verse—"At that time Jesus answered." If you will look at the context you will perceive [see] that no one had asked Him a question, and that He was not in conversa­tion with any human being. Yet it is written,

 

"Jesus answered and said, I thank Thee, 0 Father." When a man answers, he answers a person who has been speaking to him. Who, then, had spoken to Christ?

 

His Father.

 

        Yet there is no record of it.

 

This should teach us that Jesus had constant fellowship with His Father, and that God spake [spoke] into His heart so often, so continually, that it was not a circumstance singular enough to be recorded.

 

        It was the habit and life of Jesus to talk with God. Even as Jesus was, in this world, so are we; let us therefore learn the lesson which this simple statement concerning Him teaches us.

 

May we likewise have silent fellowship with the Father, so that often we may answer Him, and though the world knows not to whom we speak, we may be responding to that secret voice un­heard of any other ear, that our own ear, opened by the Spirit of God, recognizes with joy.

       

God has spoken to us, let us speak to God—

 

Either to set to our seal that God is true and faithful to His promise,

 

or to confess the sin of which the Spirit of God has convinced us,

 

or to ac­knowledge the mercy which God's providence has given,

 

or  to express assent [agreement] to the great truths which God the Holy Ghost has opened to our understanding.

 

        What a privilege is intimate communion [sharing intimate relationship] with the Father of our spirits!  It is a secret, hidden from the world, a joy that even the nearest friend cannot interfere with. If we want to hear the whispers of God's love, our ear must be purged [clear of noise, attentive] and tuned to listen to His voice.

 

        May our hearts be in such a state this evening, that when God speaks to us, we, like Jesus, may be prepared at once to answer Him.

 

You too can cast your cares on the Lord…  

1. Call on Him. As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.. ...Psalm 55:16

2. Trust Him. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass ... Psalm 37:5

3. Come to Him. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest..  Matthew 11:28

4. Give Him the burden.  Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22]

This KJV Translation is from  the Textus Receptus (TR)  [Received Text] and is rendered from 5,321 extant Greek manuscripts rendered by Frederick Henry Ambrose Scrivner from The Majority Text MT and are in substantial and overwhelming agreement with one another and avoid inferior, ambiguous or  erroneous  Greek  source texts that produced variant readings found in  codices Alexandrinus, Sinaiticus or Vaticanus [from the Vatican]. There is substantial disagreement and missing texts among these Greek codices which do not agree with one another, and  are created from incomplete codices. They introduce the  modern biblical Criticism theory and the Critical Text that embraces ambiguities, uncertainties and variant readings [multiple interpretations]. These are found in a multitude of new English translations and contain doctrinal compromises that nuance-away or otherwise diminish  the highest glory due to God Almighty.  The TR is the original primary New Testament Greek source of the Authorized King James Translation. It’s the ONLY ENGLISH translation that comes directly from the protected, preserved and  superior Textus Receptus.

 

For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in Heaven. Psalm 119:89

God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 4:33­­

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His WORD. All of His Word is inspired, [God-breathed], self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful [omnipotent] Word.

Alterations in the Text:

NIV ESV  RSV and all other Modern Language Translations are translated from the Critical Text which is taken from the Greek Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  92% is from Vaticanus and 8% from Sinaiticus  and were the principle Greek Texts of Westcott and Hort’s invented Greek Text. There is more disagreement than agreement between these two sources.

 

17 verses are deleted out of the New Testament in the Critical Text. 7,000 words are deleted.

Codices Sinaiticus  and Vaticanus are counterfeits were  overwritten in the 10th 11th and  completely overwritten in the 15th centuries. There are more points of disagreement than agreement  between Sinaiticus  and Vaticanus.

 

The Geneva Bible was also translated from the Greek Textus Receptus [Received Text] including  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; Puritan Believers whose lives were  beyond reproach.
This Bible was brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

 

The traditional Textus Receptus [Received (Greek) Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority (Greek Manuscript) Text [MT] that agree 99% with one another. Other variant readings stem from Greek translations invented by  either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland.  These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus [TR]

It is Latin for Anno Domini,  a  phrase adopted into English usage that means  “Year of [the] Lord”.  The complete  original phrase "anno Domini nostri Jesu Christi" means "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ”.   A.D. together with B.C. Before Christ divides all history into before and after the birth of Jesus the Christ [Messiah].

Is it of God?

YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

 

1 John 4:1-3

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore I do confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

 

[All translations of the Bible that use  Greek translations other than the traditional and faithful Textus Receptus do not contain the Greek word “ictin”.  This word  means “is” in English] and  its exclusion causes the meaning of its English equivalent, “is here” to change from “is” come” [“is”   here] to “has” come.

 

This error is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists and even  heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come”   [in the flesh].

 

While this is a true statement, taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”. When “has” come is the meaning   the test God has given in His Word to discern whether words being analyzed are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist is negated.

 

One of the most well documented facts in all human history is that Jesus The Christ [The Anointed Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the essential question  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether this confession affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  in the flesh.

 

Please Compare and consider [Meditate upon] this scripture with other related scriptures.  Precept upon precept, Line upon line…

THE  HOLY WORD of GOD is :

Self-Authenticating  [The Bible is considered to be self-authenticating because proponents who believe it to be so know it contains inherent divine qualities—Such qualities are unity, majesty, power, and internal consistency—that reveal its divine origin, that convinces readers of its truth without relying on external historical proof or church testimony.

This concept, championed by the Reformation, know that the Holy Spirit illuminate:
the "heavenliness of its matter," the "efficacy of its doctrine," and the "majesty of its style" within the text itself, allowing God's Word to be received directly, the same way as seeing God's glory in Christ.]

 

Providentially Protected and Divinely Preserved

Psalm 12:6-7:   6 The words of the Lord are pure words:
as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them [Thy Words] , O Lord, thou shalt preserve them [Thy Words] from this generation for ever. (AKJV).

 

Isaiah 40:8: 8 The grass withereth, [withers] the flower fadeth [fades] :but the word of our God shall stand for ever. (AKJV).

 

Matthew 5:18: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (AKJV).

 

Matthew 24:35: 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (AKJV).

 

1 Peter 1:23: 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  (AKJV).

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV)  also known as The Authorized Version (AV) and The Geneva Bible are the only two faithful English Translations from the preeminent, [surpassing all others], Traditional Greek translation of the Textus Receptus [Received Text] that self-authenticates. It’s superior to all translations  that use Critical Text translations from other Greek Sources (Westcott and Hort, Nestle and Aland,  and Codices Vaticanus, Sinaiticus and Alexandrus).

 (AKJV) The Authorized Version AKJV Translation was faithfully translated by fully consecrated,  and dedicated men of faith, beyond reproach, preeminent linguists, language scholars who were fully devoted followers of  The Lord Jesus Christ.   The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [Received Text]:

 

Psalm 119:89  ל   (Lamed)  For ever, [sic] O  Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

 

“Thy Word” is The Inspired and Ultimate Stare Decisis [A Latin phrase used in Legal terminology  that establishes the principle of “Legal Precedence” that means to stand by things decided, and with reference to Holy Scripture, to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired] and therefore eternally and immutably decided]

 

4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

 

Therefore, I now confess that “Jesus Christ is here in the flesh.”  

 

[All other English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Receptus erroneously renders the English translation “Has come”.

      

 This Translation error is because inferior Greek manuscripts do not include the Greek word  “ictin”  (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Majority Text of the Textus Receptus) and therefore  the failure  to correctly translate “ictin” [Is Here] into English.

 

 The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV and the Geneva Bible stand alone in making and giving the correct translation: “is here”.

 

This  error: “has come” is self-evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics  can, and sometimes will,  make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, it is a true and factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Yet, while this is, a true and factual statement, the meaning in scripture has now been erroneously changed. The new and erroneous meaning is that now even if He “has come” in the flesh  the confession that JESUS CHRIST IS HERE IN THE FLESH is impossible for THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST who is the creator of all heresies  to confess. Without it, Don’t  believe anything  that is said or written.

 

NEITHER does it provide for the test for believers to discern whether a spirit [voice or written words being read or heard] are from God or from the Antichrist.  It is  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it’s essential that the confession that Jesus Christ,  “IS HERE IN THE FLESH” Be confessed  [be spoken].

A SINNER’S PRAYER  FOR WHOSOEVER:
 
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved     … pray like this, won’t you?   

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am lost.  I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity in Hell. My nature and behavior  has been sinful from birth.  Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m sorry for each and every sin I have ever done and look to You to forgive them all.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You,  Lord Jesus, right now to save me.  You died on the cross for me, as God’s  sacrifice for my sin.

Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me,  I trust You to be my Savior and Lord.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I want  to follow You from now on.

You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross.

Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting  in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is alive and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave.

Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and Holy Spirit for Your comfort and guidance in all things.

There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the author's death. It remains among the world’s most famous literature.

        John Bunyan did not write nor hold to a “world view” of any kind. His inspired work, The Pilgrim’s Progress, known as the world’s most  published allegory,  does not subscribe to any world view at all  but proclaims God’s view on everything revealed and forever settled in Heaven Psalm 119:89 in The Holy Bible. 

 

John Bunyan merely, yet ardently believed God’s Word;  That it is God-breathed [inspired by God], Self-authenticating, Providentially-protected and propagated  immutable [unchanged and unchangeable] , inerrant [without error] , infallible [incapable of being mistaken or of being wrong], indestructible  and eternal written Word from GOD Himself for ever settled in Heaven.
