DEVOTION for October 29th  2025

________________________________________________

Note: The New King James Version NKJV and all versions that are NOT  translated from the Textus Receptus [The Received Text] contain variant and  inferior  readings that diminish  the full  glory and Holy reverence contained in the  1769 Edition of the 1611 King James Version  KJV Bible. The King James Version KJV also known as the Authorized King James  Version  AKJV or the  Authorized Version AV. ALL GLORY is due to and divinely belongs to the Omnipotent Lord of ALL.

The Geneva Bible is also faithfully translated from the Greek Textus Receptus and includes  the commentaries of devout, faithful and Holy men of GOD.

Only the Textus Receptus [Received Text] is produced  from more than 5,321 original Majority Greek Manuscripts MT and agree 99% with one another. All other variant readings are translated from  either Westcott and Hort’s or Nestle and Aland’s, Greek Texts  fabricated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV and the Geneva Bibles. are the only two translations from the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable  and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

The Bridge to Babylon video presents historical evidence that accounts for the explosion of over 100 different  English version translations  of the Bible. The continuing attempts to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible can not  prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His inspired Holy Words

from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion , error additions, subtractions and changes.

* BCE/CE  vs.  BC/AD     What’s the difference?
Learn the difference;  defend the Truth.   Won’t you?

A.D. does NOT mean “After Death” as many mistakenly believe. It is Latin for Anno Domini,  a  phrase adopted into English usage that means  “Year of [the/our] Lord”.  The complete  original phrase "anno Domini nostri Jesu Christi" means "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ”. A.D. is used with B.C. Before Christ  to divide all history before and after the birth of Jesus Christ.   ...More

Is the website DAILYSPURGEON  faithful?

Is it of God?

1 John 4:1-3

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

I hereby confess, audibly,  that Jesus Christ is come   [is here] in the flesh.

[All translations of the Bible that use a Greek text other than the traditional and reliable Textus Receptus ignore the word “ictin” (the Greek word that means “is” in English).  This omission causes the meaning of “is here” to  change from “is come” [is here] to “has come”.

This error is self-evident as non-believers, false prophets and even heretics can, and frequently  do, declare that He “has come” [in the flesh].

While this is a true statement, when taken at face value, the  meaning  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; which is the valid, scriptural  test of  discernment between the Spirit of God and the spirit of antichrist.

The most well documented fact in all human history is that Jesus Christ [The Messiah]  “has come” in the flesh. However, the question of greatest importance,  is not whether the spirit [words or person] being considered and tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether the confession being made affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  (NOW) from God, in the flesh.

Ephesians 5:30-32

30 for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.  [The body of CHRIST]

Compare scripture with scripture:

“I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here and now ,  of the body of Christ]. Because  we are members of the Body of Christ [The Church]

DAILY SPURGEON  and DEVOTION for  October 29th  * A.D.  2025 written and calendared by Charles H. Spurgeon.

The Lord Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, 1 John 4:2-4
and was born of a virgin  A.D. 2025 years ago.
He’s  alive  today, has existed from eternity past to eternity future as God’s eternal, everlasting Word that has always existed as The Body of Christ [The Messiah]
and He’s returning soon for his bride, the Church.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory.  1 Timothy  3:16

Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth:
for I am God and there is none else.   Isaiah 45:22

We desire to Worship God in Spirit and in Truth:

  • To Pray with my heavenly Father, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob;
    1 Thessalonians 5:17

  • To Hear and obey the eternal, inspired, immutable, inerrant, infallible, revealed and protected Word of God, revealed through Jesus Christ, the living WORD;
    1 Peter 1:23

  • To Be filled with the Holy Spirit; speaking to ourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in our heart to the Lord;
    Ephesians 5:18-19

  • To Gather in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ [The Mesiah].
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I [The Lord Jesus] in the midst of them.
    Matthew 18:20 .

  • Join with us in prayer, Bible study, gospel preaching, singing sacred hymns, anthems and praises in the worship of God in spirit and in truth.

DailySpurgeon is a collection of inspired,  encouraging, and  challenging devotional messages by Charles Haddon Spurgeon for such worship.  I pray this instrumentality be used, Heavenly Father, to the save the lost.  Encourage and embolden us as we “Study to shew [show] ourselves approved unto God, workers that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing [sharing] the word of truth.”

 2 Timothy 2:15   …in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

Loving and worshiping God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength in Spirit and in truth is our labor of love and the joyful duty of every believer. This heart’s desire will grow stronger as we give ourselves to fully devoted prayer, reading and meditating on God’s Word, gathering ourselves together to hear Gospel preaching,  and singing Psalms, sacred hymns and spiritual songs.

To these ends, we pray that DailySpurgeon.com  will continue to be inspired from our Heavenly Father and that empowerment from The Holy Ghost is received so that many souls are saved. We  desire that many will be brought to trust in The Lord Jesus Christ  [Messiah] .

We ask also that it would inspire and manifest ever greater devotion, consecration and personal discipleship in every born-again believer to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

This web site is not intended, were it possible, to take the place of in-person, Christian fellowship, inspired and live gospel preaching or congregational assemblies for instruction in the WORD and praise and worship.

Rather, it is intended to encourage and strengthen fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ [The Messiah] in:

Personal fervent and righteous Prayer,

Bible study and obedience to the Rightly divided  Inspired [God Breathed] Inerrant [Incapable of error], Infallible [Incapable of mistake or being wrong], or Immutable [Unchanged and Unchangeable], Holy WORD of GOD.

“Study to show yourself  approved unto God, a worker that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing [accurately comprehending and sharing] the word of truth.”   2 Timothy 2:15

Our aim is to follow the Lord Jesus Christ who says, “I am the way, the truth and the life…”  John 14:6

Jesus was lifted up from the earth, hung on the cross and gave up his life to save sinners, John 12:32  Therefore,  we pray that many should not perish, but come believing in Jesus Christ and have everlasting  life.  This invitation is extended to all non-believers for them to turn away from sin, look to the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.  We pray also that all believers will be built up being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 8:28-30

We pray DailySpurgeon.com  will be  empowered by The Holy Spirit, to save the lost and to lead believers in Christ to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ [The Messiah]. in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Website  contains selections from the writings of Charles H. Spurgeon, Sermons from The Metropolitan Tabernacle  and sacred music. It includes Bible  scriptures, prayers, anecdotes, devotional thoughts, as well as the singing of Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. …be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody [music] in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19

Lord Jesus, please strengthen, encourage and challenge all believers in the faith and draw unbelievers to yourself.

We pray for abundant and frequent harvests of souls and that all non-believers will repent and turn away from sin, look to the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.  We pray that all believers will remain faithful as we are conformed to the image of Jesus Christ;  by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 8:28-30

DEVOTION for October 29th *A.D. 2025 Written and calendared for this date by Charles Haddon Spurgeon 1834-1892.

SERMON: October 29th  from Spurgeon’s Metropolitan Tabernacle  (London)

The Christian Warfare    Jude 3     with Dr. Peter Masters

PRAISE: The Lord’s Prayer    Matthew 6:9-13   with Andrea Bocelli, symphony and chorus…be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody [music] in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19  Today’s music came to mind from MORNING selection.

PRAYER 13, Part 10  of 11 October 29th    THE WINGS OF PRAYER.  CH Spurgeon

Oh! help us. Spirit of the living God, continue still to travail [labor] in us. Let the groanings that cannot be uttered remain within our Spirit, for these are growing pains, and we shall grow while we can sigh and cry, while we can confess and mourn; yet this is not without a blessed hopefulness that

He that hath [has] begun a good work in us will perfect it in the day of Christ [Jesus, the Messiah].

Bless, we pray Thee, at this time, the entire Church of God in every part of the earth. Prosper the work and service of Christian people, however they endeavor to spread the kingdom of [Jesus] Christ.

Convert the heathen [unbelievers]; enlighten those that are in any form of error. Bring the entire Church back to the original form of Christianity.

Make her first pure, and then she shall be united.

O, Savior, let Thy kingdom come. Oh! that Thou wouldest [would] reign, and

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

[I pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ Amen.]

ANECDOTE 89: October 29th   The Righteous Safe.
A certain carping infidel [complaining unbeliever], after having argued with a poor countryman who knew the faith, but who knew little else, said to him, “Well, Hodge, you really are so stupid that there is no use of arguing with you,  I cannot get you out of this absurd religion of yours.”

“Ah! well,” said Hodge, “I dare say I am stupid, master, but do you know we poor people like to have two strings to our bow ?”

“Well,” said the critic, “what do you mean by that ?”  “Master, I’ll show you. Suppose it should all turn out as you say; suppose there is no God, and there is no hereafter, don’t  you see I am as well off as you are?  Certainly, it will not be any worse for me than it will be for you, if we both of us get annihilated.

But don’t you see if it should happen to be true as I believe, what will become of you!”  Clearly in either case it must be right with the righteous;  for if he should have ignorantly received a cunningly devised fable, yet, seeing according to his own experience, it makes him a better and a happier man, so far so good he is no loser here; and he will be certainly at the last in no worse a position than the man who rejected the holy and comfortable influences of what he styled [saw as] a deception.

While, if the religion of Jesus should be true — ah! ghastly  “IF”  for you who doubt it?—  if it should all be true, ah! Then, your weeping and your wailing at the discovery will be a terrible contrast to the joy and glory which God has reserved for them that love him.

Upon the very lowest possible ground it will be well with the righteous, as well, at any rate, as with the best of other men.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK October 29th  MAINTAIN THE DIFFERENCE C.H. Spurgeon
And I will put a division between my people and thy people: tomorrow shall this sign be.   Exodus 8:23
-Y yo pondré redencion entre mi pueblo y el tuyo. Mañana será esta senal- Exodo 8:23

Pharoah has a people, and the Lord has a people. These may dwell together, and seem to fare [get along] alike but there is a division between them, and the Lord will make it apparent. Not for ever shall one event happen alike to all, but there shall be great difference between the men of the world and the people of Jehovah’s choice  [the chosen].

This may happen in the time of judgments, when the Lord becomes the sanctuary  [place of refuge and safety] of His saints. It is very conspicuous in the conversion of believers when their sin is put away, while unbelievers remain under condemnation.  From that moment they [believers] become a distinct race [a peculiar people], [having] come under a new discipline, and enjoying  new blessings. Their homes, henceforth [from that time forward], are free from the grievous swarms of evils which defile and torment the Egyptians [unredeemed]. They [believers] are kept from the pollution of lust, the bite of care [the pain of worry],  the corruption of falsehood, and the cruel torment of hatred, which devour many families.

Rest assured, tried believer, that though you have your troubles you are saved from swarms of worse ones, which infest the homes and hearts of the servants of the world’s Prince [Satan].

The Lord has put a division; see to it that you keep up the division in spirit, aim, [purpose] character and [good] company.

Prayer: Thank You Lord that we have been chosen, forgiven and redeemed from the consequences of our sins.  Thank  You that You put a division between the world’s people and Your chosen and redeemed people.
Thank You for the atonement for our sins paid in full on the cross once and for ever through Your only begotten Son. Please help  me to see and adhere to this division clearly every day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9

Pray also that believers will be taught by the Holy Spirit to rightly divide and proclaim God’s eternal Word. GOD’S WORD preserved by God, Himself.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+3%3A16+&version=AKJV

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [supernaturally fathered] Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but may be having eternal life.

vis. The Textus Receptus TR [Received Text] was faithfully rendered and was in substantial agreement with the overwhelming majority of 5,321 extant Greek manuscripts  of the New Testament known as the  MT. [Majority Text] from which the Textus Recptus was taken. The Hebrew  manuscripts were meticulously copied by hand [manuscript] by the Masoretic  scribes of the Old Testament. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus codices are not of comparable quality as   they are often found to be in disagreement with one another. They have been combined with invented Greek m

Never-the-less, a mere Fifty-five 55 manuscripts from the 5,321 were hand-picked from  these compromised codices containing multiple  variant readings and were set forth in modern textual criticism ostensibly to explain the need  for an alternative Greek text from the Textus Receptus that was for many years under attack by  Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Aland who invented but did not disclose themselves as the source  of their new Greek translation. They insisted on a code of silence as to the authorship of the Greek Text  from which all the Revisions were to be made from all members of the committee who were making revisions to the King James Bible.

Modern textual criticism is based on the  false assumption that older manuscripts are, de-facto, better. Actually, the unsettled changes from the variant readings reflect doctrinal ambiguities and are sometimes used to bolster doctrine that is  unsupported in scripture of a secular or denominational tradition or to allow blasphemous  translations to  diminish God’s Sovereignty, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Immutability, Inerrancy or Infallibility and to rob Glory from His infinite and everlasting “I AM” that is deserving of ALL GLORY.

MORNING   October 29th

"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven. . . ." —Matthew 6:9
Vosotros, pues, oraréis así: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos…— Mateo 6:9

THIS prayer begins where all true prayer must commence, with the spirit of adoption,

“Our Father.”

There is no acceptable prayer until we can say, "I will arise, and go unto my Father." This childlike spirit soon perceives the grandeur of the Father

"in heaven," and ascends to devout adoration,

"Hallowed [Holy] be Thy name." The child lisping, "Abba, Father," grows into the cherub [angelic child] crying, "Holy, Holy, Holy."

There is but a step from rapturous [ecstatic, joyful] worship to the glowing missionary spirit, which is a sure outgrowth of filial [the family relationship of a child and parent] love and reverent adoration—

"Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
[God’s will on earth done like it is in heaven; His kingdom authority]

Next follows the heartfelt expression of dependence on God—

"Give us this day our daily bread."

Being further illuminated by the [Holy] Spirit he discovers that he is not only dependent, but sinful, hence he entreats [earnestly asks] for mercy,

"Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors."

And being pardoned, having the righteousness of Christ imputed and knowing his acceptance with God he humbly supplicates[earnestly asks] for holy perseverance,

"Lead us not into temptation."

The man who is really forgiven is anxious [eager] not to offend again; the possession of justification leads to an anxious [eager] desire for sanctification.

"Forgive us our debts," that is justification;

"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil," [the evil one] that is sanctification in its negative and positive forms. As the result of all this, there follows a triumphant ascription of praise,

"Thine [Yours] is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever,      Amen."

We rejoice that our King reigns in providence and shall reign in grace, from the river even to the ends of the earth, and of His dominion, there shall be no end. Thus, from a sense of adoption, up to fellowship with our reigning Lord, this short model of prayer conducts the soul.
Lord, teach us thus to pray.

EVENING  October 29th

"But their eyes were holden that they should not know   — Luke 24:16

—Mas los ojos de ellos estaban embargados, para que no le conociesen— Lucas 24:16

THE disciples ought to have known Jesus; they had heard His voice so often, and gazed on that marred face so frequently, that it is wonderful [a wonder] they did not discover [recognize] Him.
Yet is it not so with you also?

You have not seen Jesus lately. You have been to His table, and you have not met Him there. You are in dark trouble this evening, and though He plainly says,

"It is I, be not afraid,"

yet you cannot discern  [see] Him. Alas!  [Oh, my!]  our eyes are holden  [fixed and searching] . We know His voice; we have looked into His face; we have leaned our head upon His bosom, and yet, though Christ is very near us we are saying,

"0 that I knew where I might find Him"

We should know Jesus, for we have the Scriptures to reflect His image, and yet how possible it is for us to open that precious book and have no glimpse of the Well-beloved!

Dear child of God, are you in that state? Jesus feeds among the lilies of the Word, and you walk among those lilies and yet you behold Him not [don’t see Him]. He is accustomed to walk through the glades of Scripture and to commune with His people, as the Father did with Adam in the cool of the day, and yet you are in the garden of Scripture but cannot see Him though He is always there.

And why do we not see Him? It must be ascribed in our case, as in the disciples' [case],

to unbelief.

They evidently did not expect to see Jesus, and therefore they did not know [see] Him. To a great extent in spiritual things, we get what we expect of the Lord.

Faith alone can bring us to see Jesus. Make it your prayer,

"Lord, open my eyes, that I may see my Savior present with me."

It is a blessed thing to want to see Him; but oh! it is better far to gaze on Him. To those who seek Him He is kind; but

to those who find Him,

beyond expression is He dear!    [He is dear beyond expression!]

THE  SINNER’S   PRAYER

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus.

Pray like this, won’t you? :

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner hopeless without You.  I would never be able to save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned in Hell. By nature  and  practice I am a natural-born sinner. I’m  totally depraved and  I sin because I am a sinner. Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best or being as good as possible, or being better than other people or having good excuses can never save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You,  by name,  Lord Jesus, right now to save me.  You died on the cross in my place to pay  for my sin. Your Word says,  “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21. Thank You, Lord.

Right now, I surrender my sinful self  to You,  just as I am, Lord Jesus. I trust You to forgive me and save me and be my Lord and Savior.
Please forgive me for all my sins. I’m sorry for every sin (bad thoughts, words and things I have done) and look to You to forgive me of them all.  I need your strength to overcome sin’s temptations. Thank you for forgiving me.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross.

Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me still.

Thank you Heavenly Father that You have made the way  of  redemption, forgiveness and  atonement for me  and have drawn me away from sin and death into Life  in Your only begotten son.  He took  my place and suffered my punishment.

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. In Christ Jesus there is therefore now no condemnation.

Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Holy Spirit for my guidance, comfort  and solemn instruction into all truth,  Amen.”

With all my heart, I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. In your name, Lord Jesus I pray, Amen.

SACRED LITERATURE:

ORIGINAL: The Pilgrim’s Progress  Pub. by Logos,1853 from 1678 Original by John Bunyan

REVISED TEXT by Barry E. Horner: The Pilgrim’s Progrefs [sic]...

in Pilgrim’s Progress. (Tthe World’s most widely circulated Allegory by John Bunyan, also credited, by some, as being the world’s first English novel.

IT’S FREE. No subscription required. You may choose to read at your own pace, or you may want to view DailySpugeon.com for daily encounters with Pilgrim.)

"Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me [Spurgeon's comment] of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [melody] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.

Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus; it is our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

ADULT AUDIO Episodes and CHILDREN’S VIDEO Story Parts:

You may choose to read or listen to Pilgrim’s Progress as a bed time story.

It’s the world’s most famous allegory and is the all-time, world-wide best seller second only to the Bible. Some believe it to be the world’s first novel written in English.

It will bless, encourage and instruct pilgrims (readers and seekers) of all ages for a life-time.

  A SINNER’S   PRAYER

I call on You,  by name  right now Lord Jesus to save me.  You died on the cross in my place to pay  for my sin. Your Word says,  “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21. Thank You, Lord.

Right now, I surrender my sinful self  to You,  just as I am, Lord Jesus and I trust You to forgive and save me and be my Lord and Master.

Please allow us to celebrate your new birth with the angels in heaven who are celebrating right now.   Please e-mail or   write to: The John Mark Publishing Company,  PO BOX 21, San Juan Capistrano, CA  92693, U.S.A.  or  e-mail: michaelriley1008@gmail.com

DEVOTION for October 29th *A.D. 2024 Written and calendared for this date by Charles Haddon Spurgeon 1834-1892.

*A.D. Does NOT mean after death as is commonly believed. It is a Latin abbreviation
for anno Domani (It means “Year of our Lord” in English)

BC/AD versus BCE/CE What’s the difference?

Defend the Truth. Won’t you?

The Lord Jesus, who is God in human flesh, was born of a virgin 2024 years ago,
He lives today and will live forevermore and He’s coming soon,

PRAYER 13, Part 10: THE WINGS OF PRAYER.

ANECDOTE 89:  The Righteous Safe.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK:  MAINTAIN THE DIFFERENCE

And I will put a division between my people and thy people: tomorrow shall this sign be   Exodus 8:23
MORNING: "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven" — Matthew 6:9
EVENING: "But their eyes were holden that they should not know Him. "— Luke 24:16

A SINNER’S  PRAYER:

DEVOTION for October 29th *A.D. 2024 Written and calendared for this date by Charles Haddon Spurgeon 1834-1892.

SERMON: from Spurgeon’s Metropolitan Tabernacle  (London)

The Christian Warfare    Jude 3     with Dr. Peter Masters

PRAISE: The Lord’s Prayer    Matthew 6:9-13   with Andrea Bocelli, symphony and chorus…be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody [music] in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19  Today’s music came to mind from MORNING selection.

PRAYER 13, Part 10  of 11  THE WINGS OF PRAYER.  CH Spurgeon

Oh!

(Attachment: PRAYER 13.doc)

ANECDOTE 89:  The Righteous Safe.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK October 29 MAINTAIN THE DIFFERENCE C.H.

… and pray for the saving of many  souls and the disciple-ing and strengthening  of all believers.

The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Never-the-less, a scant Fifty-five 55 manuscripts from the 5,321 were hand-picked from  these compromised codices containing multiple  variant readings and were set forth in modern textual criticism ostensibly to explain the need  for an alternative Greek text from the Textus Receptus that was for many years under attack by  Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Aland who invented but did not disclose themselves as the source  of their new Greek translation.

MORNING   October 29

"Forgive us our debts," that is justification;

EVENING  October 29

It must be ascribed in our case, as in the disciples',

to unbelief.

                  A  SINNER’S  PRAYER

Whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this. Won’t you?

“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross  I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.

Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.

Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner.  But,  because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus.  You took my place on the cross and provided the way for  me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten  Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would  atone for my sins.

Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free.

You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You  in heaven.

Thank you, Father,  for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Romans 6:11

Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always give witness to and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 16:8-11

With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Live Your life in me,  Lord Jesus, in Your name I pray, Amen.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our solemn  aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus in everything. This  relies completely upon God to achieve His purpose for us through His means. We purpose, with God’s empowerment and  help,  to save the lost, comfort, strengthen and encourage believers, and  rightly divide God’s Word to proclaim the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to every creature.

The Holy Bible is God’s eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable revealed and divinely preserved Word.  It is His supernatural, complete scripture  of all revealed truth.  He brings guidance through it to us personally and to each local body of Christian believers. With God’s empowerment, we will read, study, meditate-on, trust-in  and obey God’s Holy Bible and encourage others to do the same. We hold it to be the supreme authority and the preeminent and divinely established Stare Decisis [Latin: to stand by that which is decided, the legal principle of precedence,   literally "to stand by decided matters"] in all things.

Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. And, to serve all, in love,  especially those in the household of faith. This purpose compels us to follow, and rightly present, God’s Holy Word, the Bible as God’s divinely preserved truth; the foundation of this ministry.

Tabernacle History:
The  inspired preaching, teaching, soul winning and writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon were solely based, empowered and inspired by God’s Holy Word the Bible.  His written sermons and devotional content continue to benefit today’s readers with authentic  Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. His ministry continues to flourish from the original (Spurgeon’s)  Metropolitan Tabernacle,  a church fellowship began in 1650 with the present  building constructed by members of the congregation in 1861 and rebuilt after the second world war..

Spurgeon's written materials are for the edification of the church body as well as a great benefit, blessing and challenge to all readers. Our desire is that the written Word of God will become the Living  Word in each and every reader. To this end, a calendar is indexed (top, right) on the Home page of DailySpurgeon.com for daily study, meditation and prayer. An unabridged and strictly maintained fidelity to Spurgeon’s original calendar and unabridged text is carefully guarded.

God has preserved His Word through  The Masoretic Hebrew and Aramaic languages of the Old Testament and the GreekTextus Receptus of the New Testament:

In contrast, the Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not translated from the  5,321 Majority Text Greek manuscripts, that became the Textus Receptus [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus].

The Sinaiticus and Vaticanus manuscripts  present variant readings rather than that of the well-established and settled majority Texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.

Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the  Greek Textus Receptus.

Psalm 119:89-90

ל Lamed

89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:

thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

Our Prayer: Dear Lord, empower your ministry to win many souls, and serve those in need, especially those in the household of faith, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not solicit praise of Charles H. Spurgeon or his writing or preaching. He didn’t need or want it then and wouldn’t desire it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach Christ Jesus only and him crucified.

Precaution: These Messages and prayers will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus or for gathering in in-person worship. Neither will they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word imparted by the Holy Spirit.

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV), is the authentic English Bible because it is rendered [translated into English] accurately and faithfully from the established majority of the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (The Jewish Tanakh)  These manuscripts are providentially protected of God, and always give a greater glory to God when compared to variant readings. The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

The Authorized King James version is unique also in that the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, The Crown’s Authorized Printer. No other [person or publisher] may print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

Printed Prayer: Printed prayers must not be read or offered as a substitute for personal, fervent, effectual, heart-felt, prayer. They are offered, rather, to warm the hearts of those who will presently seek a season of fervent, authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Authentic revelations from God during prayer are always consistent with His revealed Word, the Bible.

Preaching Preparation: When preparing to preach, please send us the text reference that has been chosen if you would like us to send the Spurgeon Sermon addressing the same text.

My Prayer is that You would touch, lift up, encourage and teach all who faithfully minister your Word. Bless all who minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May Your blessing and holy anointing fall fresh upon each dear reader and abide with each one who rightly divides and faithfully proclaims Your Word [The Bible]. Please save many souls; and may all be glory be yours alone. I pray this in the name of our Redeemer, The Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible  English Version  (KJV)  because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament  Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken  and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh).  These manuscripts are providentially protected, and give greater glory to God when compared to the variant readings of all post KJV  translations. Modern Critical Texts are based on only 55 hand picked Greek manuscripts fabricated from either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. Both of these Greek textual sources make the assumption that OLDER IS BETTER. Of course, this assumption is not valid in any place   the older manuscripts err from the Textus Receptus..

The established majority manuscripts and the Textus Receptus avoid doctrinal error, and inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings which taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

In the United States there is no Copyright protection to restrict the free printing of the KJV. It is the only Bible version that may be printed freely as Public Domain. Any  new publication that changes 10% or more of any existing  publication may procure a lucrative Copyright protection to restrict unauthorized printing of the new publication. Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is faithfully translated from the well-established  Greek Textus Receptus as the  Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek Source.

The complete Inside  Story of Westcott and Hort:

Brooke Foss Westcott and Fenton John Anthony Hort  (Text only)

URL:   https://www.febc.edu.sg/article/def_the_inside_story_of_westcott_and_hort

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,

thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort or Nestle & Aland.is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on  defective text. Those who honor the Word of God must not promote any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely  evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, inerrant unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it must  be to Him if His people now chose versions that are  based on  the defective and inferior  Greek manuscript  invented  by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.

Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson for us all:

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).
