All Bible versions NOT  translated from the Textus Receptus [The (traditional) Received Greek Text] include variant  readings that diminish the full  glory and the most Holy reverence due to Almighty GOD, that He preserves and protects it immutably  in the 1769 Edition of the 1611 King James Version  KJV Bible. This version is also known as the Authorized King James  Version  AKJV and the  Authorized Version AV. ALL GLORY is due to and must be given to the Omnipotent Lord of ALL.

 

The Geneva Bible was also faithfully translated from the Greek Textus Receptus and included  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from inspired, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; They were Puritan Believers known to be  beyond reproach.

This Bible was first brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

 

The traditional Textus Receptus [Received Greek Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority Greek Manuscripts MT that agree 98% with one another. Other variant readings are translations invented by  either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

Can   DAILYSPURGEON  be trusted? Is it trustworthy?

Is it of God?

YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

 

1 John 4:1-3

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

 I therefore must and do audibly confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

 

[All translations of the Bible that use a Greek text other than the traditional and faithful Textus Receptus ignore the Greek word “ictin” [the Greek word that means “is” in English].  This omission causes the meaning of “is here” to  be changed from “is” come” [is here] to “has” come”.

 

This error is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists or heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come” [in the flesh].

 

While this is a true statement, when taken at face value, the  meaning  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; which is the valid, scriptural test of  discernment to know if words are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist.

 

The most well documented fact in all of human history is that the Lord Jesus Christ [The Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the question of much greater importance,  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] being considered and tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether the confession being made affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here], from God, in the flesh.

 

Ephesians 5:30-32

30 for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I [The Apostle Paul]  speak concerning Christ and the church.  [The body and Bride of CHRIST]

“I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here and now ,  of the body of Christ]. Because  followers of Jesus Christ are members of the incarnate Body of Christ [The Church] I affirm and avow that Jesus Christ is here

PRAYER 18, Part 3of 8 December 5th  O, FOR MORE GRACE!

 

Savior, look on Thy [Your] beloved ones, and give blessings according to our necessities. We cannot pray a prayer that would comprise all, but Thou canst [You can], Great Intercessor, plead for each one, and get for each one of us the blessing wanted.

Are we depressed? Give us stronger faith. Have we become worldly? Pardon this great offense and lead us more into spiritual things. Have we become joyous, but have forgotten the Source of Joy? Lord, sweeten and savor [flavor] that joy with the sweet perfume of Thine [Your] own presence. Have we to preach, and do we feel weak? Oh! be our strength. Are we engaged in the Sunday-school, [Bible study] and have we seen little success? Lord, teach us how to teach; give us our boys and girls to be our spiritual reward. Are we sickly? Have we those that vex [frustrate] us because they are unholy and ungodly? This, indeed, is a terrible trial to many; Lord, help them, both in their personal sickness and in this great spiritual trouble. Have we dear ones whom we love with all our hearts, who pine [suffer] before our eyes? Lord, have pity upon them and restore them, and give them patience to bear pain; and give us resignation to Thy [Your] will in this matter. ANECDOTE 125: December 5th  THE CHRISTIAN DEFYING SATAN.

Martin Luther, you know, often used to defy Satan to battle. I care not to do that ; but he used to say, in his queer, quaint way, “ I often laugh at Satan, and there is nothing makes him so angry as when I attack him to his face, and tell him that through God I am more than a match for him; tell him to do his worst, and yet I will beat him, and tell him to put forth his fury, and yet I will overcome him.”

This would be presumption if in our own strength. It is only faith in the providence of God that can enable us to say so. He that has made God his refuge need fear no storm; but just as sometimes in Christmas weather the wind and snow and storm outside make the family fire seem warmer, and the family circle seem happier, so the trials and temptations of Satan do sometimes seem to add to the very peace and happiness of the true believer while he sits wrapped up in the mantle [warm blanket] of godly confidence. ________________________________________

The man to whom God has given grace to be of blameless life dwells in perfect security. He dwells on high, above the world, out of gunshot of the enemy, and near to Heaven. He has high aims and motives, and he finds high comforts and company [fellowship]. He rejoices in the mountains of eternal love, wherein he has his abode [dwelling place] . He is defended by munitions [forts and strong-holds] of stupendous rock. The firmest things in the universe are the promises and purposes of the unchanging God, and these are the safeguard of the obedient believer. He is provided for by this great promise,

– Bread shall be given him. As the enemy cannot climb the fort, nor break down the rampart, so the fortress cannot be captured by siege [blockade] and famine.– The Lord, who rained manna [nourishment from heaven] in the wilderness, will keep His people in good store even when they are surrounded by those who would starve them. But what if water should fail? That cannot be, –his waters shall be sure.– There is a never-failing well within the impregnable [unconquerable] fortress. The Lord sees that nothing is wanting[lacking]. None can touch the citizen of the true Zion [Heaven, New Jerusalem, The Universal Church of all redeemed believers in Jesus Christ, God’s Messiah] However fierce the enemy, the Lord will preserve His chosen [ones].

Prayer: Thank You Lord for safety and protection in You. When I am close under Your wings I trust in You. Your truth is my complete protection. You are my sufficiency. Help me come often to You and stay close under your loving, certain, watchful protection no matter where I may be in the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.

MORNING December 5th  

"Ask, and it shall be given you. "— Matthew 7:7

WE know of a place that still exists in England where a dole [Wayfarer’s Dole] [a free hand-out] of bread is served to every passerby who chooses to ask for it. Whoever the traveler may be, he has but to knock at the door of Saint Cross Hospital, and there is the dole of bread for him. Jesus Christ so loves sinners that He has built a Saint Cross Hospital, so that whenever a sinner is hungry, he has but [only has] to knock and have his wants supplied. Nay, [No] He [Jesus] has done better; He has attached to this Hospital of the Cross a bath, and whenever a soul is black and filthy it has but to go there and be washed. The fountain is always full, always efficacious [effective]. No sinner has ever gone into it and found that it could not wash away his stains. Sins that were scarlet and crimson have all disappeared, and the sinner becomes whiter than snow. As if this were not enough, there is attached to this Hospital of the Cross a wardrobe, and a sinner recognizing his sinfulness may be clothed from head to foot; and if he wishes to be a soldier, he may not merely have a garment for ordinary wear, but armor that covers him from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

If he asks for a sword, he shall have that given to him, and a shield too.

Nothing that is good for him shall be denied him. He shall have spending money so long as he lives, and he shall have an eternal heritage of glorious treasure when he enters into the joy of his Lord.

If all these things are to be had by merely knocking at mercy's door, 0h my soul, knock hard this morning and ask large things of thy generous Lord. Leave not the throne of grace till all your wants [requests] have been spread before the Lord, and until by faith you have a comfortable anticipation that they shall all be supplied. No bashful¬ness need prevent when Jesus invites.

No unbelief should hinder when Jesus promises. No coldheartedness should restrain when such blessings are to be obtained.

EVENING December 5th  

"And the Lord shewed [showed] me four carpenters. "— Zechariah 1:20

IN the vision described in this chapter, the prophet saw four terrible horns. They were pushing this way and that way, dashing [throwing] down the strongest and the mightiest; and the prophet asked, "What are these?" The answer was, "These are the horns which have scat¬tered Israel." He saw before him a representation of those powers which had oppressed the church of God.

There were four horns; for the church is attacked from all quarters. Well might the prophet have felt dismayed; but all of a sudden there appeared before him four carpenters. He asked, "What shall these do?" These are the men whom God has found to break those horns in pieces. God will always find men for His work, and He will find them at the right time. The prophet did not see the carpenters first, when there was nothing to do, but first the "horns," and then the "carpenters." Moreover, the Lord finds enough men. He did not find three carpenters, but four; there were four horns, and there must be four workmen. God finds the right men; not four with pens to write; not four architects to draw plans; but four carpenters to do rough [the hard] work.

Rest assured, you who tremble for the ark of God [Ark of the Covenant] that when the "horns" grow troublesome, the "carpenters" will be found. You need not fret concerning the weakness of the Church of God at any moment; there may be growing up in obscurity the valiant reformer who will shake the nations: Chrysostoms may come forth from our ragged schools [schools for the poor] , and Augustines from the thickest darkness of London's poverty. The Lord knows where to find His servants. He has [readied] an ambush, a multitude of mighty men, and at His word they shall start [Charge!] up to the battle; "for the battle is the Lord's," and He shall have the victory to Himself. Let us abide faithful to Christ, and He, in the right time, will raise up for us a defense, whether it be in the day of our personal need, or in the season of peril [danger] to His Church.

A SINNERS PRAYER (FOR WHOSOEVER):

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

For "whosoever will" may surely come and take of the water of life freely, because "whosoever will" [one who] is already drawn by the Father! You may hear the word of Christ: "All that the Father giveth me, shall come to me; and him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out !"

So, pray and call on the Lord Jesus and be saved      … won’t you?

(Pray audibly and from your heart:)

“Lord Jesus, I’m lost. I’m a selfish, sinful and hopeless sinner. I cannot save myself. Without you and your sacrifice on the cross to save me, I would be hell bound. My sinful nature reveals itself in my sinfulness. I’m totally depraved and I sin because it is my nature and my natural born inclination. I know that me doing my best, or being as good as I can, or better than others or making excuses will never be enough for me to save myself.

I need to be saved.

I look to You, Lord Jesus to save me. Your word states, “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21. I call on You now Lord Jesus believing You will save me.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You so loved me that you would and, in fact, did die for me on the cross.

I thank You that You have forgiven all my sins and will save me if I trust in You.. I’m sorry for all my sins and turn away from each one. Thank you, Lord, for paying, in full, the price of punishment for all my sins and for saving me.

Thank you, Heavenly Father that You now say, “Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else.”
I do look to You in believing You always keep Your Word and. will save me.

Thank You for revealing to me, that the wages of sin is death;  but Your gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead victorious over sin, death and the grave and that in Him I am eternally saved.

Thank you for saving me.   Holy Spirit. please guide me into all truth and shape me into the very image of Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ in whose name I pray, Amen.

Our solemn  aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus in everything. This  relies completely upon God to achieve His purpose for us through His means. We purpose, with God’s empowerment and  help,  to save the lost, comfort, strengthen and encourage believers, and  rightly divide God’s Word to proclaim the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to every creature.

        The Holy Bible is God’s eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable revealed and divinely preserved Word.  It is His supernatural, complete scripture  of all revealed truth.  He brings guidance through it to us personally and to each local body of Christian believers. With God’s empowerment, we will read, study, meditate-on, trust-in  and obey God’s Holy Bible and encourage others to do the same. We hold it to be the supreme authority and the preeminent and divinely established Stare Decisis [Latin: to stand by that which is decided, the legal principle of precedence,   literally "to stand by decided matters"] in all things. 

       Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. And, to serve all, in love,  especially those in the household of faith. This purpose compels us to follow, and rightly present, God’s Holy Word, the Bible as God’s divinely preserved truth; the foundation of this ministry.
 

Tabernacle History:
       The  inspired preaching, teaching, soul winning and writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon were solely based, empowered and inspired by God’s Holy Word the Bible.  His written sermons and devotional content continue to benefit today’s readers with authentic  Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. His ministry continues to flourish from the original (Spurgeon’s)  Metropolitan Tabernacle,  a church fellowship began in 1650 with the present  building constructed by members of the congregation in 1861 and rebuilt after the second world war..

        Spurgeon's written materials are for the edification of the church body as well as a great benefit, blessing and challenge to all readers. Our desire is that the written Word of God will become the Living  Word in each and every reader. The Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most widely published and most famous Allegory, It was commonly found among he scant possessions in the cabins of the early American Pioneers. It was  loved and  read, second only to the Holy Bible, God’s Word, of guidance, encouragement and comfort. It’s also considered, by some, to be the world’s first English novel and is the most published book of all time. other than the Bible. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the author's death. It remains among the world’s most famous literature.

"Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me [Spurgeon]  of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle]  he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.

       Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus; it is our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.
