1 John 4:1-3

Chapter 4
1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not [doesn’t confess] that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Hence, I confess "Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh."

 John 1:1-2

Chapter 1

Authorized (King James) Version

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God.

He’s alive today, and is coming soon for His Bride; the Church.

1 Timothy 3:16

Chapter 3

"16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,

believed on in the world, received up into glory."

You are invited to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior and your Lord and to publicly acknowledge Him as such. He will acknowledge you then to His Father; The God of Abraham. Isaac and Jacob. You are also invited to follow Him in believer’s baptism.

Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Allow this]: for thus it becometh [is fitting and right for] us to fulfil all righteousness.”

 Matthew 3:15

Baptism is not required for salvation. Remember, Jesus said to the thief on the cross, who acknowledged Jesus’ innocence and said to him. “Remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Verily [Truly] I say to you, Today you shall be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43

The act of Baptism pictures the Lord’s death and resurrection and by extension through identification with Him, also pictures the believer’s death to self, atonement, and new, born-again life.

The ordinance of Baptism bears witness to the preaching of John the Baptist. He preached the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and exhorted Repentance from sin and the Baptism of atonement. Therefore, the ordinance  of baptism is not required for salvation but should  be followed to fulfil all righteousness.

You are invited  to Worship Him in Spirit and in truth. This worship may be manifested  through prayer, Bible reading, scriptural meditation, gospel preaching, singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs.

To encourage this, the Website dailypurgeon.com  is offered.

The website is not intended, to take the place of fellowship or in-person congregational worship with a local body of believers.

“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a worker that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing [accurately comprehending and sharing] the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Following the Lord Jesus Christ as a fully devoted follower is our desire. We trust Him for our salvation, guidance, strength and our eternal destiny. We will, with His help, follow Him in soul winning by use of DailySpurgeon or any instrumentality He may bestow. We will invite and encourage non-believers to turn away from sin, look to Him and be saved.

We trust that believers (old and new) will benefit in knowing that He will sustain, guide and build us up as we are being conformed to the image of Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.

DailySpurgeon presents, on the Internet a collection of devotional writings, prayers and encouragement  by Charles Haddon Spurgeon, as he rightly divides [teaches] God’s Word. Sermons from The Metropolitan Tabernacle and sacred congregational music of worship and praise are included to encourage and strengthen personal edification and fully devoted spiritual dedication.

1 John 4:1-3

4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the [Holy] Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [confesses] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not [doesn’t confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Hence, I hereby  confess that "Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh."

PRAYER 24, July 5th  Part 10 of 11  DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

Make Thy [Your] Church to work miracles, because the miracle-worker [The Lord Jesus] is in the midst of her.

Oh! send us times of revival, seasons of great refreshing; and then times of aggression, when the army of the Lord of Hosts shall push its way into the very *center of the adversary, and overthrow the foe in the name of the King of kings.

Now forgive Thy servants all that has been amiss [wrong], and strengthen in Thy servants all that is good and right. Sanctify us to Thy service, and hold us to it.

Comfort us with Thy presence; elevate us into Thy presence. Make us like Thyself ; bring us near Thyself , and in all things glorify Thyself in us, whether we live or die.

Bless the poor, remember the needy among Thine own people; help and *succor [aid] them. Bless the sick, and be very near the dying. The Lord comfort them.

[I ask this dear Lord in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 333: July 5th   SERMONS BORN OF FEELING.

It is a long time since I have made a good speech at a public meeting; but I do remember doing it once. I stepped out [departed] , as one of the speakers was delivering a very, very pretty oration, and I went into a neighboring house to speak with a woman who wished to join the church. It was not in London. When I stepped into the house, there was the husband beastly drunk; he had got his wife up [trapped] in a corner, and was with all his might trying to bruise her face, and tear her arms with his nails, till the blood flowed from her arms and face. Two or three rushed in, and dragged him away. She said she had endeavored with all her meekness to persuade him to allow her to go to the house of God that night ; and the only reason why he ill-treated her was, because he said she would always be going to that place of worship.

And when I had seen this sight, and looked on the poor woman, with tears in her eyes, I went [back] into the place, and spoke like a man who had got his face and heart, and whole body, full of fire.

I could not help it: I was all on flame against the sin of drunkenness, and sought with all my might to urge the members of the church to do all they could to scatter the light of the Gospel into a neighborhood which was so dark and black and filthy and abandoned.

And I think it would do all of us good, when we preach, if we were sometimes to be dragged through some of the worst parts of London [any large city], to let us see the wickedness of it. ________________________________________

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK July 5th  COMPLETE DELIVERANCE  by C.H. Spurgeon

He Is Able to Deliver Thee  (Sing-along won’t you? Today’s PRAISE music came to mind from today’s Faith’s Checkbook)

-But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the Lord; and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid- Jeremiah 39:17

-Mas en aquel dia yo te libraré, dice Jehova, y no serás entregado en mano de aquellos de quienes tu temes- Jeremias 39:17

When the Lord’s faithful ones are suffering for Him, they shall have sweet messages of love from Himself, and sometimes they shall have glad tidings for those who sympathize with them and help them.

Ebed-melech was only a despised Ethiopian, but he was kind to Jeremiah, and so the Lord sent him this special promise by the mouth of his prophet [Jeremiah]. Let us be ever mindful of God’s persecuted servants, and He will reward us.

Ebed-melech was to be delivered from the men whose vengeance he feared. He was a humble black man, but Jehovah would take care of him. Thousands were slain by the Chaldeans, but this lowly Negro [black man] could not be hurt. We, too, may be fearful of some great ones who are bitter against us; but if we have been faithful to the Lord’s cause in the hour of persecution, He will be faithful to us.

After all, what can a man do without the Lord’s permission?

He puts a bit [the metal part of a horse’s bridle into the horse’s mouth to control and guide it and] into the mouth of rage, and a bridle upon the head of power.

Let us fear the Lord, and we shall have no one else to fear.

No cup of cold water given to a prophet of God shall be without its reward; and if we stand up for Jesus, Jesus will stand up for us.

.

Prayer: Thank You Father, for deliverance in time of need. Thank You that Your deliverance completely protects us from the rage and the hate that’s present in persecution toward us. Help me [us] to trust Your Word knowing that You will perform what You have promised. I pray this in Your name, Lord Jesus, Amen.

Th MORNING July 5th   "CALLED TO BE SAINTS."   - Romans 1:7

WE are very apt [very likely] to regard the apostolic saints [The 12 disciples and Paul] as if they were "saints" in a more special manner than the other children of God. All are "saints" whom God has called by His grace and sanctified by His Spirit; but we are apt to look on the apostles as extraordinary beings, scarcely subject to the same weaknesses and temptations as ourselves.

Yet in so doing we are forgetful of this truth: the nearer a man lives to God the more intensely he has to mourn over his own evil heart; and the more his Master honors him in His service, the more the evil of the flesh vexes and teases [tempts] him day by day. The fact is, if we had seen the apostle Paul we should have thought him remarkably like the rest of the chosen family, and if we had talked with him we would have said,

"We find that his experience and ours are much the same. He is more faithful, more holy, and more deeply taught than we are, but he has the selfsame [very same] trials to endure. Nay, [Not only that but] in some respects he is more sorely [severely] tried than ourselves [us]." Do not, then, look on the ancient saints as being exempt from either infirmities or sins; and do not regard them with that mystic reverence that almost makes us *idolaters. Their holiness is attainable even by us.

We are "called to be saints" by that same voice which constrained [held] them to their high vocation. It is a Christian's duty to force his way into the inner circle of saintship; and if these saints were superior to us in their attainments, as they certainly were, let us follow them; let us emulate their ardor and holiness.

We have the same light that they had; the same grace is accessible to us, and why should we rest satisfied until we have equaled them in heavenly character? They lived with Jesus, they lived for Jesus, therefore they grew like Jesus. Let us live by the same Spirit as they did, "looking unto Jesus," and our saintship will soon be apparent.

[Sidlow Baxter’s memorable quote while preaching at Bellevue Baptist Church, Memphis TN, “Excuse me, but: Hallelujah!”]

* English (USA) spelling

EVENING July 5th

"TRUST YE IN THE LORD FOR EVER: FOR IN THE LORD JEHOVAH IS EVERLASTING STRENGTH. " —Isaiah 26:4

—Confiad en Jehová perpetuamente: porque en el Señor Jehová está [es] la fortaleza de los siglos. —Isaías 26:4

SEEING that we have such a God to trust to, let us rest on Him with all our weight.

Let us resolutely drive out all unbelief and endeavor to get rid of doubts and fears

which so much mar [disfigure] our comfort, since there is no excuse for fear where God is the foundation of our trust. A loving parent would be sorely grieved if his child could not trust him; and how ungenerous, how unkind is our conduct when we put so little confidence in our heavenly Father who has never failed us, and who never will. It were [would be] well if doubting were banished from the household of God; but it is to be feared that old Unbelief [Satan] is as nimble nowadays as when the psalmist asked, "Is His [God’s] mercy clean [completely] gone for ever? Will He be favorable no more?"

David had not made any very lengthy trial [examination] of the mighty sword of the giant Goliath, and yet he said, "There is none like it." He had tried [used] it once in the hour of his youthful victory, [when he killed Goliath] and it had proved itself to be of the right metal, and therefore he praised it ever after wards. Even so should we speak well of our God;

there is none like unto Him in the heaven above or the earth beneath; "To whom then will ye liken Me, or [to whom] shall I be equal? saith [says] the Holy One."

There is no rock like the rock of Jacob, our enemies themselves being judges. Instead of allowing doubts to live in our hearts, we will take the whole detestable crew, as Elijah did the prophets of Baal, and slay them over the brook; and for a stream to kill them at, we will select the sacred torrent that wells [springs] forth from our Savior's wounded side.

We have been in many trials, but we have never yet been cast [thrown] where we could not find in our God all that we needed. Let us then be encouraged to trust in the Lord forever, assured that His everlasting strength will be, as it has been, our succor [aid] and stay [help and perseverance].

In Defense of I John 5:7

By Dr. Phil Stringer

1 John 5:7 Is The Great Trinitarian Proof Text of The Bible. (For The immutable Doctrine of the Trinity.)

Daniel Webster [Author of the Famous Webster Dictionary] was once asked. “Does it not bother you [Mr. Webster] to believe in the Trinity since you cannot explain it?

His answer was,  “What would bother me would be to have a God so small that I could fully explain HIM.”

The Lord Jesus *Christ
[*Anointed Messiah]

was supernaturally Fathered by the Holy Ghost,  and born of a teen-aged virgin girl named  Mary 2026 years ago in Bethlehem of Judea.

He was crucified, and His lifeless body was placed in a tomb. After three days, GOD  brought Him back to life again, and raised HIM from the dead victorious over sin, death and the grave.

He is GOD’S Incarnate WORD and Everlasting SACRIFICE, The LAMB of GOD, [THE WORD of GOD made flesh.]  The CHURCH is the BODY of *Christ,
*[The MESSIAH.]

[The CHURCH] is HIS espoused [Legally Bound] Bride, for whom HE will come again to consummate their Marriage in the Marriag                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  and Protected Words of GOD.
These WORDS are God-Breathed, [Spoken] Eternal WORDS spoken by Almighty GOD. The same GOD who calls Himself “I AM”, is Omni-Lingual, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Immutable, All-Wise, Omnipresent, Eternally and Supremely Holy. He is the One-and-Only Triune, Three-in-One GOD.

“I and my Father are one”.  John 10:30

________________________________

1 John 5:7  Is the fundamental scriptural  basis for the doctrine and essential tenet of the Trinity. [The Triune, [Three-in-One] GOD in-Three Persons   (This verse has been omitted or Changed to diminish the authority and the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ or has been Removed entirely from all Critical Text translations by apostates that hold to the untenable goal of False Doctrine that gives rise to all manner of Cults, False Teaching, Heresies, false Prophets, Agnostics, Gnostics, Atheists and  Pagans.

Therefore, The incarnate WORD of GOD, [Jesus *Christ
(*The Anointed MESSIAH) and His Father are ONE.]  John 10:30

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, [Jesus Christ] and the Holy Ghost: and
THESE THREE ARE ONE. John 10:30

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, [Holy Ghost] and the Water [Life of the Father], and the Blood; [The Sacrificial Blood of Jesus Christ]: and these three AGREE IN ONE. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son,  [The LORD Jesus *Christ
*(The Anointed Messiah)].

GOD calls Himself “I AM” and Jesus Christ is The WORD made Flesh, GOD’s WORD is infinite and will endure FOREVER, from Eternity Past through the never-ending Eternal Future.

The Traditional Text: It's History & Manifestation

By Dr. David Sorenson

In addition to evidence of authenticity from the 5,321 Majority Text manuscripts, this link presents Translational Evidence that the Traditional Text is Inerrant, Infallible and is the Inspired [Word-by-Word, GOD-Breathed Greek Text that moved the Prophets and Apostles to write precisely the Greek and Hebrew words they were told to write by the Holy Ghost]

The Traditional Text.  Length: (33:56 minutes)

The Traditional Greek Text was printed, not written by Desiderius Erasmus and was used  in the FIRST Christian Church at Antioch. It was later called The Received Text [vis. Latin: The Textus Receptus TR].

Over Five Billion King James Bibles, the 1769 Edition [NOT the NEW King James Bibles based on the inferior Critical Greek Text] account for more sales world-wide than any other version or edition of the Holy Bible.

This is more than all other Bible Versions and Editions Combined.

The Critical Text vs. The Traditional Text

(Also Known As The Received Text , The Textus Receptus  TR , and The Authorised Version AV and AKJV)

By Dr. David Sorenson

So, Dr. Sorenson, “I hear You are King James Only.”

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.

The issue is not translational.

Marketing ploys by publishing companies with little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions  are:

  • Easier to read.

  • More modern.

  • More accurate (Not  true)

The truth is that the KJV remains The most popular. (is still the most popularly read Bible in America). Over five billion copies of the King James (1769) is greater than all the other versions and editions combined.

The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.

On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

We’re Grateful.

Thank you, Lord, for DailySpurgeon.com  a website to encourage and support personal devotions to the Lord Jesus. This ministry started with sending e-mails of Faith’s Checkbook by Charles H. Spurgeon to Jon Edward Riley and others he would include..

Jon was called home by his loving Father in Heaven on January 16, 2021.

His  memory is honored here, giving honor to whom honor is due. We pray that through this and all other instrumentalities that God may effect, many will be born again, challenged, encouraged, and supported to grow in personal devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ while being conformed to His image; that they might be the firstborn among many brethren.. Romans 13:7   Romans 8:28-29

A PRAYER OF GRATITUDE:  by Jon Edward Riley,

(February 12, 1971- January16, 2021)

From an Indigenous, Irish, well beloved All-American son giving a prayer of gratitude to the Lord for  in: “The heart of Freedom”

INDIAN SCOUT POST NO 1 Burial grounds at White Shield, North Dakota.

… a compassionate prayer of gratitude, thanking the Lord for the Military Service of Native-American Scouts serving the United States of America. …the land of the free and the home of the Brave.

Jon loved to say, “I’m a blood bought, born-again child of God!” to anyone he happened to meet.

… Jon’s testimony is from one who, by grace through faith was forever accepted in the Beloved; who’s loving ways brought the good news of Jesus to many. and one who is present with the LORD in glory forever. One with whom we’ll one day meet again.

Amen.

Jon would sometimes just sing-out some of the following songs on the way to church, or sometimes just singing along with the Elvis Gospel CD that was always in our F-150’s CD player while riding with his Dad or,

Best of all, when an inspired, spontaneous praise from the Lord would just pop out from his joyful and loving heart.

SACRED LITERATURE: The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan

Note: Spurgeon was taught to read at a very early age and read The Pilgrim’s Progress for the first time when he was six years old. He would return to re-read it over 100 times.  He made many references to it in his sermons as Pastor of  The Metropolitan Tabernacle in London.

Excerpt from Sermon:  II. § 5 THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY,

WHICH IS  CHRIST IN YOU

"Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me [Spurgeon] of Mr. Bunyan’s picture in The Pilgrim’s Progress. of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams [ancient weapons of war] had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [melodies], for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.

Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus; it is our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

Spurgeon’s Full Sermon:  Christ in You, May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27 From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29 (cit. II. The Mystery of this is Christ In You, the hope of glory.

THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS   by  John Bunyan  is the most famous Allegory, world-wide and the Most widely Published Book of all time and was printed in over 200 Languages. It has NEVER,  since 1698, been  out-of-print.

Only The King James Bible was more widely published than The Pilgrim’s Progress.

OLD ENGLISH  PRINT: The Pilgrim’s Progress  Part II   AKA  Christiana
(Christian’s wife, Christiana and children; their dangerous journey, and safe arrival at the desired country.)

Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were  loved and  read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible.  It’s  also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938,  250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.

Comment on Pilgrim’s Progress by Charles H. Spurgeon from the Spurgeon Sermon
“Christ in You”.

Spurgeon:  Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come.

Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah;  our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

Spurgeon Sermon: Christ in You, Preached May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27  From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29   (cit. II. THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, § 5)

You may choose to read, listen or share Pilgrim’s Progress with your little ones as a bed time story.   It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims of all ages and will create precious and enduring memories in little ears.

Spurgeon read it for the first time as a precocious five year old reader and would returned to read it over 100 times during the course of his remarkable ministry as a Baptist pastor who is  known as The Prince of Preachers .

PRAYER 24, Part 10 of 11

DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

Make Thy Church to work miracles, because the miracle-worker is in the midst of her.

Oh! send us times of revival, seasons of great refreshing; and then times of aggression, when the army of the Lord of Hosts shall push its way into the very *center of the adversary, and overthrow the foe in the name of the King of kings.

Bless the poor, remember the needy among Thine own people; help and *succor [aide] them. Bless the sick, and be very near the dying. The Lord comfort them.

[I ask this dear Lord in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 333: Sermons Born of Feeling.

It is a long time since I have made a good speech at a public meeting; but I do remember doing it once. I stepped out, as one of the speakers was delivering a very, very pretty oration, and I went into a neighboring house to speak with a woman who wished to join the church.

And when I had seen this sight, and looked on the poor woman, with tears in her eyes, I went into the place, and spoke like a man who had got his face and heart, and whole body, full of fire. I could not help it: I was all on flame against the sin of drunkenness, and sought with all my might to urge the members of the church to do all they could to scatter the light of the Gospel into a neighborhood which was so dark and black and filthy and abandoned.

And I think it would do all of us good, when we preach, if we were sometimes to be dragged through some of the worst parts of London [or any large city], to let us see the wickedness of it.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK JULY 5 COMPLETE DELIVERANCE C.H. Spurgeon

He Is Able to Deliver Thee A Cappela with Lyrics (Sing-along won’t you?

Thousands were slain by the Chaldeans, but this lowly [one] could not be hurt. We, too, may be fearful of some great ones who are bitter against us; but if we have been faithful to the Lord’s cause in the hour of persecution, He will be faithful to us.

After all, what can a man do without the Lord’s permission?

He puts a bit into the mouth of rage, and a bridle upon the head of power.

Help me [us] to trust Your Word knowing that You will perform what You have promised .dailyspurgeon.com (Internet)

MORNING July 5

"Called to be saints."-Romans 1:7

WE are very apt [very likely] to regard the apostolic saints [12 disciples and Paul] as if they were "saints" in a more special manner than the other children of God. The fact is, if we had seen the apostle Paul we should have thought him remarkably like the rest of the chosen family, and if we had talked with him we would have said, "We find that his experience and ours are much the same. He is more faithful, more holy, and more deeply taught than we are, but he has the selfsame [very same] trials to endure. Nay, [Not only that but] in some respects he is more sorely [severely] tried than ourselves [we are]." Do not, then, look on the ancient saints as being exempt from either infirmities or sins; and do not regard them with that mystic reverence that almost makes us *idolaters.

* English (USA) spelling

EVENING July 5

"Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength. " —Isaiah 26:4

—Confiad en Jehová perpetuamente: porque en el Señor Jehová está [es] la fortaleza de los siglos. —Isaías26:4

SEEING that we have such a God to trust to, let us rest on Him with all our weight. Let us resolutely drive out all unbelief and endeavor to get rid of doubts and fears which so much mar [disfigure, diminish] our comfort, since there is no excuse for fear where God is the foundation of our trust. A loving parent would be sorely grieved if his child could not trust him; and how ungenerous, how unkind is our conduct when we put so little confidence in our heavenly Father who has never failed us, and who never will. It were well if doubting were banished from the household of God; but it is to be feared that old Unbelief [Satan] is as nimble nowadays as when the psalmist asked, "Is His [God’s] mercy clean [completely] gone for ever? Will He be favorable no more?" David had not made any very lengthy trial [examination] of the mighty sword of the giant Goliath, and yet he said, "There is none like it." He had tried [used] it once in the hour of his youthful victory, [when he killed Goliath] and it had proved itself to be of the right metal, and therefore he praised it ever after wards. Even so should we speak well of our God; there is none like unto Him in the heaven above or the earth beneath; "To whom then will ye liken Me, or [to whom] shall I be equal? saith [says] the Holy One." There is no rock like the rock of Jacob, our enemies themselves being judges. Instead of allowing doubts to live in our hearts, we will take the whole detestable crew, as Elijah did the prophets of Baal, and slay them over the brook; and for a stream to kill them at, we will select the sacred torrent that wells [springs] forth from our Savior's wounded side. We have been in many trials, but we have never yet been cast [put] where we could not find in our God all that we needed. Let us then be encouraged to trust in the Lord forever, assured that His everlasting strength will be, as it has been, our succor and stay [help and perseverance].

A SINNER’S PRAYER:   … FOR WHOSOEVER WILL: [For One and all]

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved     … pray like this, won’t you?

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am hopeless.  I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross for my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned to Hell. I have been  self-centered from birth.  Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m guilty and sorry for each and every sin I have done and look to You to forgive me of them all.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You,  Lord Jesus, right now to save me.  You died on the cross for me, because of my sin  and You say,  “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21.

Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me,  I trust You, to  be my Lord and Savior from now on.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins.  I ask You to abide in me and give me the desire to always follow You.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross.  Even the sins of the whole world.

Thank you,  Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me even before I was born and that You still love me now. I love You too.

Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting  in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. Romans  8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [Holy Ghost, Comforter, Spirit of Truth]

Thank You for saving me heavenly Father. With all my heart, thank you Father for saving me in Jesus’ name,  Amen.

Allow us to share the joy of your new birth with heaven. Won’t you? Heaven rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7

John 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [divinely fathered] Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but may be having eternal life.

vis. Textus Receptus [The Received Greek Text] (From the overwhelming majority of extant New Testament Greek manuscripts)

The Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not majority texts, [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.

Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the  Greek Textus Receptus.

Psalm 119:89-90

ל Lamed

89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:

thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

MISSION STATEMENT:

… Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13

Our solemn aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus in everything. We must rely upon God entirely to achieve His purposes in us and through us.

Loving and worshiping God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength in Spirit and in truth is a labor of love and duty of every believer. Desire will grow stronger as we give ourselves to prayer, reading and meditating on God’s Word, gathering ourselves together to hear Gospel preaching, the singing of Psalms, sacred hymns and spiritual songs.

We purpose, with God’s help, to reach the lost, comfort, strengthen and encourage believers, and rightly divide God’s Word to proclaim the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to every creature.

The Holy Bible is God’s eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable revealed and divinely preserved Word. It is His completed scripture of all revealed truth. He brings guidance and the knowledge of His will to us personally and to each local body of Christian believers through His Word. With God’s help and empowerment, we will read, study, meditate-on, trust-in and obey God’s Holy Bible and encourage others to do the same. We hold it to be the supreme authority and the preeminent and divinely established precedent [Stare Decisis Latin: to stand by that which is decided, the legal doctrine of precedence, literally "to stand by decided matters"] in all things.

Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. And, to serve all, in love, especially those in the household of faith. We are compelled by this purpose to follow, and rightly apply and proclaim, God’s Holy Word, the Bible, as God’s divinely preserved truth; being the essential authority and goal of this ministry.

The Metropolitan Tabernacle: Home church of Charles H. Spurgeon

The preaching, teaching, soul winning and writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon are firmly fixed on the bedrock of Holy Scripture. His entire ministry was established, empowered and inspired solely by God’s Holy Word imparted to him by the Holy Spirit. His written works continue to bless, guide, challenge and benefit today’s readers through the publication of his authentic Gospel sermons and other inspired writing His ministry continues to thrive and flourish today through the Metropolitan Tabernacle a church begun in 1650 The present building was constructed in 1861 and was rebuilt after the destruction caused during the second world war. This church has been steadfast in it’s adherence to Reformed Baptist theology that Spurgeon said was just a nickname for Biblical Christianity. They have resisted and continue to reject worldly winds of false doctrine, including pragmatism and self-centered “Christian hedonism”. Biblical Christianity will always show itself as a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, never just a philosophy or religion.

Mission Aim: Spurgeon's sermons and devotional messages have edified the church body and have been a great benefit, to all readers for many years. We pray they will be useful to strengthen personal discipleship in each and every believer and will be a useful instrument in the spreading of the Gospel [Good news] of Jesus Christ, the Messiah to all nations.

MISSION PURPOSE:

Our aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus Christ in everything. We rely wholly upon the Holy Spirit to impart God’s divine revelation to us from His Word, the Holy Bible. With God’s help, we will follow Jesus. We expect that lost souls will be saved, believers, comforted, strengthened and encouraged. To God be all the glory.

The Bible is God’s divinely inspired [God breathed] revealed, infinite, eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable Word to all mankind. This divine, supernatural Word brings all revealed truth to the world. We purpose, therefore, to follow God’s Holy Word, Personal guidance and guidance to the local church comes by His Word.

Hence, we resolve, God helping us, to read, study, meditate-on, trust-in and obey God’s revealed and divinely preserved Word, holding it to be the supreme authority and the only divinely established Stare Decisis [Latin: to stand by that which is decided] in all things.

Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature, ministering God’s love to all, especially those in the household of faith. The Bible is God’s everlasting, inspired, (God breathed) inerrant, infallible, unchangeable, divinely protected and preserved Word of love and salvation to the entire world. It is also the essential foundation of this ministry.

History: The inspired preaching, teaching and writing of Charles Haddon Spurgeon is all empowered by God’s revealed Word the Bible. His written publications continue to benefit readers through authentic Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. This ministry continues to flourish through The Metropolitan Tabernacle in London

Our Prayer: Dear Lord, empower your ministry to win many souls, and serve those in need, especially those in the household of faith, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not solicit praise of Charles H. Spurgeon or his writing or preaching. He didn’t need or want it then and wouldn’t desire it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach Christ Jesus only and him crucified.

Precaution: These Messages and prayers will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus or for gathering in in-person worship. Neither will they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word imparted by the Holy Spirit.

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV), is the authentic English Bible because it is rendered [translated into English] accurately and faithfully from the established majority of the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (The Jewish Tanakh)  These manuscripts are providentially protected of God, and always give a greater glory to God when compared to variant readings. The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

The Authorized King James version is distinguished also by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No other [person or publisher] may print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

Printed Prayer: Printed prayers must not be read or offered as a substitute for personal, fervent, effectual, heart-felt, prayer. They are offered, rather, to warm the hearts of those who will presently seek a season of fervent, authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Authentic revelations from God during prayer are always consistent with His revealed Word, the Bible.

Preaching Preparation: When preparing to preach, please send us the text reference that has been chosen if you would like us to send the Spurgeon Sermon addressing the same text.

My Prayer is that You would touch, lift up, encourage and teach all who faithfully minister your Word. Bless all who minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May Your blessing and holy anointing fall fresh upon each dear reader and abide with each one who rightly divides and faithfully proclaims Your Word [The Bible]. Please save many souls; and may all be glory be yours alone. I pray this in the name of our Redeemer, The Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible  English Version  (KJV)  because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament  Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken  and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh).  These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on only 55 hand picked inferior Greek manuscripts fabricated from either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. Both of these Greek textual sources follow an assumption that OLDER IS BETTER. Of course, this assumption is not valid if the older manuscripts contain error.

The established majority manuscripts and the Textus Receptus avoid doctrinal error, and inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings which taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

This video presents the truth  for those who seek to learn about and use the providentially protected, preserved and immutable Holy Bible that is both inerrant [without error] and infallible and gives God alone, the utmost praise, and the greatest glory due to HIMSELF. Praise and worship are rightfully insisted upon and commanded in God’s  inspired [God-Breathed (Spoken) Word from God himself.
HOLY WORDS  that were given by God through the Holy Ghost, word by word, to His  Holy Prophets and Apostles comprise all eternal Holy Scripture. (Matthew 5:18)

The inspired, god breathed, immortal words, were  uttered, word-by-word, to the  holy prophets and apostles who were chosen of God and moved by the holy ghost. These words are protected and preserved in holy scripture and are written word-by-word and are immutable, [unchangeable] without error, and infallible [incapable of making a mistake or being wrong]. and for ever [sic] settled in heaven by God himself in the self authenticating word of god, itself.

The complete Inside  Story of Westcott and Hort:

Brooke Foss Westcott and Fenton John Anthony Hort  (Text only)

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,

thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely  evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are  based on  defective Greek manuscript  created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.

Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson for us all:

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).
