JESUS CHRIST, THE MESSIAH, IS RISEN INDEED! HE IS ALIVE FOREVERMORE!
Resurrection Romans 6:3-5
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
EASTER [Resurrection Sunday] IS NEVER OVER BECAUSE…
Jesus said:
John 11:25 -26 “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die. Believest thou this?” 2 Timothy 2:8-26
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel.
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth [abides] faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth [pottery] ; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet [the perfect match] for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure [perhaps] will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

DEVOTION for June 19th :
PRAYER 23, June 19th Part 1 of 7
THE LOOK OF FAITH.
OUR Father, we have listened to Thy gracious words. Truly Thy paths drop fatness. [Nourish us to the utmost] Wherever Thou art [are], mercy abounds. Before [at] Thy feet rivers of grace spring up. When Thou comest [come] to man it is with the *fullness of pardoning love.
Thou hast [have] bidden us come to Thee and seek Thee while Thou mayest [may] be found. We would [desire to] come now. May Thy holy Spirit help us! May Jesus lead the way and be our Mediator now! [Jesus, the faithful go-between] Blessed be Thy name; there are many who sought Thy face many years ago.
We have since then tasted that Thou art [are] gracious, and we know by a delightful experience that Thou dost [do] indeed give milk and honey to such as trust [have faith, believe] Thee.
Oh! we wish we had known Thee earlier [before].
Thank you therefore Heavenly Father for your preserved written Word. Thank You for The living Word, Jesus Christ, our redeemer and Lord.
[I pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 323: June 19th God Listening to Prayer.
A good brother of my acquaintance, a minister of the gospel, going [starting] to preach from the text that God will hear prayer, called upon [visited] one of his poor people, who said when the visit was over that she had greatly enjoyed his call [visit].
He thought to himself, “I have scarcely said a word, and yet she says that I have done her good.” Turning to her, he inquired, “Sister, how can I have done you good, for I have hardly spoken with you?”
“Ah, sir,” she replied, “you have listened so kindly: you have heard all I had to say, and there are very few who will do that.”
Just so. [Yes, that’s it.] People in deep trouble like somebody to hear them all through: even little children are comforted by telling mother all about it.
We are in such a hurry with poor troubled spirits that we hasten them on to the end of the sentence, and try to make them skip the dreary details. But to them this seems unkind, for their story is sacred; and therefore, they go slowly on with it, till we are quite tired. I have often hurried on a poor despondent creature till I have seen the uselessness of it [rushing them]: it is always best to let them spin on [keep on telling their story]. It does them good.
To tell out the heart [speak from their heart] to a patient listener is a great relief to a burdened spirit, and the heart must do it in its own way. Here is a sweet assurance,
“My God will hear me.”
I may be very bad, and what I say may be very broken, and I may groan a good deal, and I may say the same thing over and over again, and my whole ditty [story] may be very stupid ; but,
“My God will hear me.”
He is in no hurry: he is the God of patience. He will listen to my dreary talk, and endure each gloomy particular.
I need not hold him as the Ancient Mariner held the wedding guest who was unwilling to hear his weary rhyme of the sea:
my God will willingly listen to me right through, from beginning to end, groans and all.
“My God will hear me.”

-Aunque [Yo] ande en valle de sombra de muerte, No temere mal alguno; porque tu estaras conmigo: Tu vara y tu cayado me infundiran aliento- Salmos 23:4
Sweet are these words in describing a death-bed assurance. How many have repeated them in their last hours with intense delight!
But the verse is equally applicable to agonies of spirit in the midst of life. Some of us, like Paul, die daily through a tendency to gloom of soul [depression] .
John Bunyan [Author of world’s most famous allegory, Pilgrim’s Progress] puts [writes about] the Valley of the Shadow of Death far earlier in the pilgrimage [story] than the river which rolls at the foot of the celestial hills. We have some of us traversed [traveled] the dark and dreadful defile [narrow passage] of “the shadow of death” several times, and we can bear witness [affirm the truth] that the Lord alone enabled us to bear up amid its wild thought, its mysterious horrors, its terrible depressions. The Lord has sustained us, and kept us above [safe from] all real fear of evil, even when our spirit has been overwhelmed. We have been pressed and oppressed, but yet we have lived, for
we have felt the presence of the Great Shepherd,
and have been confident that His crook [staff] would prevent the foe from giving us any deadly wound.
Should the present time be one darkened by the raven [large black] wings of a great sorrow, let us glorify God by a peaceful trust in Him.
Prayer: Thank You Lord Jesus, that You are with me [all followers] and therefore will keep me fearless of evil and bring me comfort even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I depend upon You and desire to know Your Word [The Bible] and I know Your Word is faithful, unchangeable and true. In Your name Lord Jesus I pray, Amen

MORNING June 19th
"For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth .[be wasted] "—Amos 9:9
- Porque he aquí yo mandaré y hare que la casa de Israel zarandeada entre todad las gentes, como se zarandea el grano en un harnero, y no cae un granito en la tierra —Amós 9:9
EVERY sifting [temptation] comes by divine command and permission. Satan must ask before he can lay a finger on Job [or any believer]. In some sense our siftings are directly the work of heaven, for the text says, "I will sift the house of Israel." Satan, like a drudge [common laborer], may hold the sieve, hoping to destroy the corn; but the overruling hand of the Master is accomplishing the purity of the grain by the very process which the enemy intended to be destructive. Precious, but much sifted corn of the Lord's floor, be comforted by the blessed fact that the Lord directs both flail [threshing tool] and sieve [perforated instrument used to separate coarse and fine parts] to His own glory, and to your eternal profit.
The Lord Jesus will surely use the fan which is in His hand, and will divide the precious from the vile.[wheat from the chaff] All are not Israel that are of Israel; the heap on the barn floor is not clean provender, and hence the winnowing process must be performed. In the sieve true weight alone has power. Husks and chaff devoid of substance must fly before the wind, and only solid corn [grain] will remain.
Observe the complete safety of the Lord's wheat; even the least grain has a promise of preservation. God Himself sifts, and therefore it is stern and terrible work. He sifts them in all places, "among all nations." He sifts them in the most effectual manner, "like as corn [grain] is sifted in a sieve;" and yet for all this,
not the smallest, lightest, or most shriveled grain, is permitted to fall to the ground.
Every individual believer is precious in the sight of the Lord; a shepherd would not lose one sheep, nor a jeweler one diamond, nor a mother one child, nor a man one limb of his body, nor will the Lord lose one of his redeemed people. However little we may be, if we are the Lord's, we may rejoice that
we are preserved in Christ Jesus.

EVENING June 19th
"Straightway they forsook their nets, and followed Him." —Mark 1:18
—Y luego, dejadas sus redes, le siguieron. — Marcos 1:18
WHEN they heard the call of Jesus, Simon and Andrew obeyed at once without demur [delay or question]. If we would always punctually and with resolute zeal [enthusiasm] put in practice what we hear, on the spot or at the first fitting occasion, our attendance [consideration] at the means of grace and our reading of good books could not fail to enrich us spiritually. He will not lose his loaf [of bread] who has taken care at once to eat it, neither can he be deprived of the benefit of doctrine who has already acted upon it. Most readers and hearers become moved to purpose to amend [to take action]; but, alas! the proposal is a blossom which has not been knit, [brought to full bloom] and therefore no fruit comes of it; they wait, they waver, and then they forget, until, like the ponds in nights of frost, when the sun shines by day, they are only thawed in time to be frozen again. That fatal tomorrow is blood-red with the murder of fair resolutions [good intentions]; it is the slaughterhouse of the innocents. We are very concerned that our little book of [these] "Evening Readings" should not be fruitless, and therefore we pray that readers may not be readers only, but doers, of the word. The practice of truth is the most profitable reading of it. Should the reader be impressed with any duty while perusing these pages, let him hasten to fulfill it before the holy glow has departed from his soul, and let him leave his nets and all that he has, rather than be found rebellious to the Master's call.
Do not give place to the devil by delay! Haste while opportunity and quickening are in happy conjunction.[both present] Do not be caught in your own nets, but
break the meshes of worldliness, and away to glory's call. Happy is the writer who meets with readers resolved to carry out his teachings; his harvest will be a hundredfold, and his Master will have great honor.
Would to God that such might be our reward upon these brief meditations and hurried hints.
Grant it, 0 Lord, to your servant!

Who was (is) Charles Haddon Spurgeon
*A.D. did not and does NOT mean “After Death” as many erroneously now think. It actually abbreviates Anno Domini, a Latin phrase adopted into English that literally means “Year of our Lord”. It has been used together with B.C. Before Christ for centuries.
B.C.E is not a synonym for B.C. (Before Christ)] It is not the same thing. Not even close.
B.C.E. / C.E or B.C. /A.D. What’s the difference?
B.C.E. (BEFORE COMMON ERA [or BEFORE CURRENT ERA] ― Anything to avoid all reference or mention of anything CHRISTIAN by atheist and anti-Christians and to remove A.D. [Anno Domini] and B.C. [Before Christ] from being used.
This argument, claims to have a neutral point of view to remove the reference to Jesus Christ by omitting the use of A.D Ano Domini and B.C. Before Christ This argument brings forward a faulty and egregious hypothesis. Without consideration of a person’s religious views analysis of the hypothesis of a neutral point of view (NPOV) must be made.
What is A NEUTRAL point of view? Such a fool’s errand would argue that a point of view could set forth a valid, genuine, authentic and simultaneously be neutral. What? This defies logic. A neutral point of view, were it possible, is no point of view at all. Rather, it’s illogical and by applying simple common sense, impossible. Anytime a point of view is combined, confused or blended with another one so that the properties are clouded, weakened or confused the actual definite and certain POV is lost and any rational adherence or support for it is now moot. A Neutral point of view exists only in the imagination of those who prefer confusion to a true, authentic, genuine, robust and proven point of a verifiable fact.
A neutral point of view, were it possible, would be, at best, illogical, unattainable, indefensible and irresponsible. The king of oxymorons.
Therefore, the mere consideration of an imagined but impossible and unattainable neutral point of view (NPOV) is ludicrous. A point of view cannot be NEUTRAL. An authentic point of view cannot be neutral, or ambiguous, but must clearly advance a singular, definite and certain point of view (POV). It cannot be both a POV and neutral. A neutral point of view is a logical impossibility. A neutral (POV), were it possible, would ignore the historical fact of Jesus Christ’s birth. The pretense of seeking a neutral point of view is therefore misleading and disingenuous.
The Lord Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh,
was born of a virgin 2025 years ago.
He’s alive today, has always existed as God’s eternal and everlasting Word,
and will soon return for his bride, the Church
[The body of all redeemed believers in Jesus Christ].
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory.
1 Timothy 3:16
Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:22
You are invited to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior and Lord and to follow Him in believer’s baptism.
Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Do it] now: for thus it becometh us [is beautifully fitting and expected of us] to fulfil all righteousness.”
Baptism is not a requirement for salvation but it is the willing desire of all believers to demonstrate agreement and consistency with the righteousness of preaching Repentance and Baptism as preached and practiced by John the Baptist is obedience to scriptural teaching. The issue of baptism is therefore not an issue of salvation but of obedience and the fulfilling of all righteousness.
Worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth will spring-up and be manifested in a sense of gratitude from all born again believers. Such trust and worship can come through prayer, Bible reading, scriptural meditation and study. Fellowship in a local church body, hearing gospel preaching and singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs are also acts of worship and reflects active discipleship.
To this purpose, DailySpurgeon, is offered as a reliable, dependable and effective resource.
It is not intended, were it possible to take the place of fellowship or congregational worship in a local body of believers.
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a worker that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing [accurately comprehending and sharing] the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
Trusting in and following the Lord Jesus Christ is our chief purpose. We trust Him for salvation, guidance, strength and our eternal destiny according to His perfect will. We follow Him in soul winning through DailySpurgeon or any other instrumentality He may choose. We invite and encourage non-believers to turn away from sin, look to Him and be saved. We trust that believers (old and new) will benefit from its use knowing that He will sustain, guide and build us up as we are conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, Exodus. 29.18 a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. …But I know that my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:17-19. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Salute [Greet] every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you All the saints salute [Greet] you, chiefly they that are of *Caesar’s household. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Philippians 4:23 Amen”
* Not only were new converts won to the truth in Caesar's household, but after their conversion they remained in that household. They did not feel at liberty to abandon their post of duty because their surroundings were no longer congenial. [They were now out of their comfort zone but obliged to steadfastly remain and serve there] The truth had found them there, and there they remained, by their changed life and character testifying to the transforming power of their new found faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your prayers.
Let us make daily use of our riches, and ever repair [return] to Him as to our own Lord in covenant, taking from Him the supply of all we need with as much boldness as men take money from their own purse [wallet].

1 John Chapter 4
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but [continually] be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses, says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn't confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Hence, I confess [declare and affirm] "Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh."

He has always existed from eternity past [FOREVER] as the WORD of God. John 1:1-2
And He was born of a virgin 2,024 years ago in Bethlehem, the WORD made flesh,
is alive today, and is coming soon for His *bride, the Church
[*All redeemed believers].
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory."
1 Timothy 3:16
Let me invite you to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and to publicly confess [declare] Him as such before men [publicly]. He will therefore be able to acknowledge and confess you before His Father in Heaven. He is The God of Abraham. Isaac and Jacob. Following your public confession, You also invited to follow Him in believer’s baptism by immersion.
Jesus came from Galilee t o Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Allow this]: for thus it becometh [is fitting and right for] us to fulfil all righteousness.”
