O Savior, let Thy kingdom come. When will this earth be delivered from the incubus [evil spirit] of superstition and of infidelity? O that Thou wouldst [would] hear creation’s groans and come quickly. O Thou great Deliverer, joy of the earth art [are] Thou, the expected of the tribes of Israel still; come, we beseech Thee, Thou absent love, Thou dear unknown, Thou fairest of ten thousand fair; come a second time to earth and to the sons of men, and specially to Thy Bride, the Church. 

 

Even so come quickly, Lord Jesus. In Your name, and for Your sake I pray, Amen.

ANECDOTE 271: May 2nd  SUPERIORITY OF CHRISTIAN JOY.

 

The joy which we wear is far superior to any which the evil one can offer us; and so his temptation has lost its power. What can the devil offer a joyous Christian? Why, if he were to say to him, “I will give thee all the kingdoms of the world and the glory thereof, if thou wilt fall down and worship me,” the believer would reply to him, “Fiend, I have more than that. 

I have perfect contentment; I have absolute delight in God. My soul swims in a deep sea of bliss as I think of God.”

The devil will speedily quit [leave] such a man as that; for the joy of God is an armor through which he cannot send the dagger of his temptation. ________________________________________

Sowing looks like a losing business, for we put good corn into the ground never to see it any more. Sowing to the Spirit seems a very fanciful, dreamy business; for we deny ourselves, and apparently get nothing for it.

Yet if we sow to the Spirit by studying to live unto God, seeking to obey the will of God, and laying ourselves out to promote His honor, we shall not sow in vain. Life shall be our reward, even everlasting life.

This we enjoy here as we enter into the knowledge of God, communion with God, and enjoyment of God. This life flows on like an ever-deepening, ever-widening river, till it bears us to the ocean of infinite felicity, [happiness] where the life of God is ours for ever and ever. Let us not this day [today] sow to our flesh, for the harvest will be corruption, since flesh always tends that way; but with holy self-conquest [death to self] let us live for the highest, purest, and most spiritual ends, seeking to honor our most holy Lord by obeying His most gracious Spirit.

What a harvest that will be when we reap life everlasting! What sheaves [harvest] of endless bliss will be reaped! [given us] What a festival will that harvest be! Lord, make us such reapers, for thy Son’s sake.

 

Prayer: Thank you Heavenly Father that -He who sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting- Please help me to sow to the Spirit and to deny my own selfishness. For I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.- Galatians 2:20.

 

I join in the heavenly rejoicing for each repentant sinner who looks to You and is saved.
 Luke 15:7.

 

Make me a blessing to someone today in Jesus name, Amen.

 

Pray also that all believers everywhere rightly divide God’s everlasting Word, to declare, preach and share the good news that Jesus suffered and died on the cross so that eternal life may be  given to all who trust in Him. Pray that all redeemed, born-again blood-bought children of God abide faithful to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with every creature.

MORNING May 2nd "I PRAY NOT THAT THOU SHOULDEST [YOU SHOULD] TAKE THEM OUT OF THE WORLD." –John 17:15

GOING home to be with Jesus is a sweet and blessed event that will occur [come] to all believers in God's own time.

 

In a few more years the Lord's soldiers, who are not fighting "the good fight of faith," will have finished with conflict and entered into the joy of their Lord. But although [Jesus] Christ prays that His people may eventually be with Him where He is, He does not ask that they may be taken at once away from this world to heaven.

He wishes them to stay here. Yet how frequently does the wearied [Christian] pilgrim put up the prayer, "O that I had wings like a dove! Then would I fly away and be at rest."

But Christ does not pray like that; He leaves us in His Father's hands, until, like shocks [corn stalks] fully ripe, we shall each be gathered into our Master's garner [storage bin].

Jesus does not plead [ask] for our instant removal by death, for to abide [to continue living] in the flesh is needful for others if not profitable for ourselves. He asks that we may be kept from evil, but he never asks for us to be admitted to the inheritance in glory until we are of full age [God’s perfect timing to call us home].

Christians often want to die when they have any trouble. Ask them why, and they tell you, "Because we would be with the Lord." We fear it is not so much because they are longing to be with the Lord as because they desire to get rid of their troubles; else they would feel the same wish to die at other times when not under the pressure of trial.

They want to go home, not so much for the Savior's company, as to be at rest. Now it is quite right to desire to depart if we can do it in the same spirit that Paul did, because to be with Christ is far better, but

the wish to escape from trouble is a selfish one.

Rather let your care and wish be to glorify God by your life here as long as He pleases, even though it be in the midst of toil and conflict and suffering, and allow Him to say when

“it is enough.”

EVENING May 2nd "THESE ALL DIED IN FAITH. " —Hebrews 11:13

BEHOLD the epitaph of all those blessed saints who fell asleep before the coming of our Lord! It matters nothing how else they died, whether of old age, or by violent means; this one point, in which they all agree, is the most worthy of record:

"they all died in faith."

In faith they lived; it was their comfort, their guide, their motive and their support; and in the same spiritual grace they died, ending their life song in the sweet strain in which they had so long continued. They did not die resting in the flesh or on their own attainments; they made no advance from their first way of acceptance with God, but held to the way of faith to the end. Faith is as precious to die by as it is to live by.

Dying in faith has distinct reference to the past. They believed the promises which had gone before, and were assured that their sins were blotted out through the mercy of God.

Dying in faith has to do with the present. These saints were confident of their acceptance with God. They enjoyed the beams of His love, and rested in His faithfulness.

Dying in faith looks into the future. They fell asleep, affirming that the Messiah would surely come, and that when He should appear in the last days upon the earth, they would rise from their graves to behold Him.

To them the pains of death were but the birth pangs of a better state. Take courage, my soul, as you read this epitaph. Your course, through grace, is one of faith, and sight seldom cheers you: this has also been the pathway of the brightest and the best. Faith was the orbit in which these stars of the first magnitude moved all the time of their shining here; and happy are you that it is yours.

Look anew tonight [right now] to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and thank Him for giving you the same kind of precious faith as souls now in glory.

A.D. did not and does NOT mean “After Death” as many have erroneously thought. It actually is the Latin abbreviation for Anno Domini,  a  Latin phrase adopted into English that means  “Year of our Lord”.  It is used together with B.C. Before Christ  to divide and describe all time before and after the birth of Jesus Christ.

 

B.C.E  is not a synonym for B.C. (Before Christ)]  Does it mean the same thing? No, it doesn’t. Not even close.

 

B.C.E./C.E   or  B.C./A.D.?     What’s the difference?     

 

B.C.E. (is an abbreviation for Before COMMON Era, Before CURRENT Era and sometimes erroneously  Before CHRISTIAN Era)  and from its inception continues to be  an attempt by atheist, agnostics and other non-Christians to remove the long established practice  of referencing Jesus Christ, His date of birth or his Lordship with  A.D or B.C.  , abbreviations needed to describe a specific time in history. This argument for change postulates merit in a “neutral”  point of view that would eliminate all reference to Jesus Christ, his birth or Lordship.  They have sought to accomplish this By replacing the use of A.D and B.C. with B.C.E and C.E. This argument sets up a faulty and egregious hypothesis.  Even without consideration of a person’s religious views an  analysis of the use, were it to be possible, of a neutral point of view (NPOV) would be considered ludicrous.

 

What? A NEUTRAL point of view?  Such a hypothesis would portend that a point of view can be properly set forth as valid, genuine, authentic and defensible but also remain neutral.  A neutral point of view, were it possible, is no point of view at all. This is both illogical and impossible.  Anytime a point of view is combined, confused or blended with another so that its properties or constructs are clouded, weakened, confused or in any way neutralized the POV is lost and any argument of support for it is now  moot.   A neutral point of view exists only in  the imagination of those who prefer confusion to authentic, genuine, robust argument supported with authentic and valid points of view.

 

A neutral point of view, were it possible, is illogical, unattainable,  indefensible and irresponsible.

 

Therefore to argue for an imagined, impossible and unattainable neutral point of view (NPOV) is plainly ludicrous.  A point of view is inherently and by definition NOT NEUTRAL. An issue or argument is either neutral, without a preferred or singular point of view, or it patently displays a defensible point of view; the lack of neutrality being self evident.  It cannot be both. Hence a neutral point of view is impossible.  Such a  phrase taken with its normal and common sense meaning is ipso facto [by that very fact or act. factually self evident],  an oxymoron per se [in itself] . The illusive  unobtainable  (NPOV) desired here but without convincing argument  is a point of view that ignores, and negates the historical fact of Jesus Christ’s birth. Ignoring this fact and using an imagined  neutral point of view, falsely so called, is disingenuous.

 

The Lord Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh,
was born of a virgin  A.D. 2026  years ago.                        
He’s  alive  today, has always existed from eternity past as God’s eternal and everlasting Word, 
and will soon return for his bride, the Church
[The body of all redeemed believers in Jesus Christ].
 

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1 Timothy  3:16  

 

Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else.

Isaiah 45:22

 

You are invited to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior and Lord and to confess this belief through a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ and following Him in believer’s baptism.

 

        Jesus came from Galilee  to Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism]  And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Allow this to be done]: for thus it becometh us to [it is fitting for us to] fulfil all righteousness.”  Matthew 3:15

 

                Baptism is not required for salvation. Remember,  Jesus said  to the thief  on the cross, who acknowledged his innocence  and said to him [Jesus]. “Remember me when you come into  your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Verily [Truly] I say to you, Today you shall be with me in paradise.”  Luke 23:43 

 

 The act of Baptism shows obedience in following the Lord’s ordinance and pictures His death and resurrection to atone for the sin of all who will trust Him.

 

Baptism also bears witness to the preaching of John the Baptist of the Kingdom of Heaven being at hand and exhorts Repentance from sin and the Baptism by immersion of atonement. Therefore, the act of baptism is not required for salvation but must occur in obedience to the ordinance of baptism and to fulfil all righteousness.

 

        Worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth will spring-up and be manifested in a sense of gratitude.  Such worship can come through prayer, Bible reading, scriptural meditation and study. Fellowship in a local church body, hearing gospel preaching and singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs are also acts of worship and reflect active discipleship.

        To this purpose, DailySpurgeon,  is offered as a reliable, dependable and effective resource.

 Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved    … won’t you?   

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner hopeless without You.  I would never be able to save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned in Hell. By nature  and  practice I am a natural-born sinner. I’m  totally depraved and  I sin because I am a sinner. Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best or being as good as possible, or being better than other people or having good excuses can never save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You,  by name,  Lord Jesus, right now to save me.  You died on the cross in my place to pay  for my sin. Your Word says,  “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21. Thank You, Lord.

 

     Right now, I surrender my sinful self  to You,  just as I am, Lord Jesus. I trust You to forgive me and save me and be my Lord and Savior.
Please forgive me for all my sins. I’m sorry for every sin (bad thoughts, words and things I have done) and look to You to forgive me of them all.  I need your strength to overcome sin’s temptations. Thank you for forgiving me.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross. 

    Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You still love me.
 

    Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have made the way  to save me  and have drawn me away from sin and death into Life  in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.  He took  my place, suffered and died for punishment that I deserved.

 

     Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. In Christ Jesus there is therefore now no condemnation.
 

     Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for the Holy Spirit you will send for my guidance, comfort  and solemn instruction into all truth,  Amen.”

    With all my heart, I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. In your name, Lord Jesus I pray, Amen.

The Lord Jesus *Christ
[Anointed *Messiah]
was supernaturally Fathered by GOD, The  Holy Ghost,  and was born of a virgin girl, named Mary 2026 years ago in Bethlehem of Judea.    

 

He was crucified and His lifeless body was placed in a tomb and after three days, HE Arose from the dead, victorious over sin, death and the grave.
 

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is GOD’S INCARNATE WORD [GOD’S WORD made flesh] and His EVERLASTING [Once, and For ALL] SACRIFICE for ALL Sin].  HE is The Lamb of God, God’s WORD in Human flesh.] The CHURCH is His Body,  the BODY of *CHRIST,

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.

The issue is not translational.

Marketing ploys by publishing companies  that have little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions  are:
 

• Easier to read.
   

• More modern.
   

• More accurate (Not  true)
   

The most popular. (KJV is still the most popularly read Bible in America)

The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.

On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

A Sinner’s Prayer.

 

A person may come to Jesus by  believing and (whole heartedly) praying like this:

 

 “Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You.  I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would deserve and spend forever in Hell.

I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion)  and justifying my own behavior as "good"  or "OK" will never  save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me. 
I come to You   right now.  Lord Jesus.   Please save me.  I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know  You always keep your word.  Please save me. You say and  it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming  to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I  give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from  every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done)  and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s  presence.  Thank you for forgiving  all of  my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve.  (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who,gave up  His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world. 

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and  after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with  You  in heaven. 

 

 I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart.   Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth.,  Amen.”

Alterations to and alternative readings in Biblical Text were brought about by the Critical Greek Text of Westcott & Hort and was used to translate the: NIV, ESV, RSV and other Modern Language Translations who’s Greek translations are from the Greek Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  90% is from Vaticanus and 8-9% from Sinaiticus  and were the principle Texts used by Westcott and Hort to invent their Critical Greek Text. There are  more disagreements than there are agreements between these two Codices of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  .

 

From these inferior Greek Codices, 17 verses are deleted out of the New Testament in following the Critical Text. 7,000 words in total are deleted.

Codices Sinaiticus  and Vaticanus are counterfeits that were  overwritten in the 10th 11th and  completely overwritten in the 15th centuries. There are more points of disagreement than there are points of agreement between them.

IN ADDITION TO THE KING JAMES BIBLE, The Geneva Bible was also translated from the Traditional Greek Text, The Textus Receptus [The Received Text] including  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; Puritan Believers whose lives were  beyond reproach.
This Bible was brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

The traditional Textus Receptus [The Received (Greek) Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority (Greek Manuscript) Text [MT] that agree 99% with one another. Other variant readings stem from Greek translations invented by  Westcott and Hort and Nestle and Aland.  These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus [TR]

 

There is also translational evidence from Jerome’s Latin Vulgate that establishes The Traditional Greek Text as both the OLDEST and the BEST. [Unlike the Counterfeit proofs  offered with The Critical Test].

Is it of God?
YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

1 John 4:1-3
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore I do confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

[All translations of the Bible that use  Greek translations other than the Traditional AKA the faithful Textus Receptus do not have the Greek word “ictin”.  This word  means “is” in English] and  its exclusion causes the meaning of its translation, “is here” to change to “has” come.

This mistake is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists and even  heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come”   [in the flesh].

While this is a true statement, taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”. When “has” come is the meaning   the test God has given in His Word to discern whether words being analyzed are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist is made void.

One of the most well documented facts in all human history is that Jesus The Christ [The Anointed Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the essential question  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether this confession affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  in the flesh.

 

Please Compare and consider [Meditate upon] this scripture with other related scriptures.  Precept upon precept, Line upon line…

This concept, championed in the Reformation, know that the Holy Spirit illuminates the "heavenliness of its matter," the "efficacy of its doctrine," and the "majesty of its style" within the text itself, allowing God's Word to be received directly, the same as seeing God's glory in Christ.

Matthew 5:18: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (KJV).

Matthew 24:35: 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (AKJV).

1 Peter 1:23: 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  (KJV).

(KJV) The Authorized Version AV Translation was faithfully translated by fully consecrated,  and dedicated men of faith, beyond reproach, preeminent linguists, language scholars who were fully devoted followers of  The Lord Jesus Christ.   The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [Received Text]:

 

Psalm 119:89  ל   (Lamed)  For ever, [sic] O  Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

 

“GOD’S LIVING  Word” is The Infinitely Inspired and the Ultimate Stare Decisis [The Legal Latin Term that expresses the principle of “Legal Precedence”. It means to stand by things decided, and  to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired] and therefore eternally, Divinely and immutably decided FOREVER]

 

4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

 

Therefore, I now confess that “Jesus Christ is here in the flesh.”  

 

[All other English translations of the Bible use  The Critical Text Greek manuscripts. not the Textus Receptus and erroneously render the English words as “Has come” instead of “is come” [IS HERE].

      

 This Translation error is because inferior Greek manuscripts do not include the Greek word  “ictin”  (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Majority Text of the Textus Receptus) and therefore  the failure  to correctly translate “ictin” [Is Here] into English.

 

 The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV and the Geneva Bible stand alone in taking their correct translation from the Traditional Text AKA The Textus Receptus: “is here”.

 

This  error: “has come” is self-evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics  can, and sometimes will,  make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, it is a true and factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Yet, while this is, a true and factual statement, the meaning in scripture has now been erroneously changed. The new and erroneous meaning is that now even if He “has come” in the flesh  the confession that JESUS CHRIST IS HERE IN THE FLESH is impossible for THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST who is the creator of all heresies  to make. Without this confession, don’t  believe anything  that you read or hear.

 

NEITHER does it provide for the test for believers to discern whether a spirit [voice or written words being read or heard] are from God or from the Antichrist.  It is  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it’s essential that the confession that Jesus Christ,  “IS HERE IN THE FLESH” Be made  [be spoken].

Now, as we remember the sound of him saying “Later”, it rings true in a  new and deeper meaning and it brings a joy and comfort to the hearts of those whom he loved so well; those who love him still and will forever more.
