Note: The New King James Version NKJV and all versions that are NOT translated from the Textus Receptus [Received Text] are inferior to the translations of the 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV and the Geneva Bible. Only these two translations have remained faithful to the traditional Textus Receptus.
Only the Textus Receptus [Received Text] is sustained by more than 5,321 Majority Greek Text MT Manuscripts and stand in agreement with one another 99% . ALL OTHER readings have as their primary Greek source either Westcott and Hort’s or Nestle and Aland’s, Greek Texts fabricated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts and lack the trustworthiness produced in the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV and the Geneva Bibles; the only two translated from the reliable, inspired and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

The Bridge to Babylon video presents historical evidence that accounts for the explosion of over 100 different English version translations of the Bible. The continuing attempts to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible can not prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His inspired Holy Words
from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion , error additions, subtractions and changes.

Is the website DAILYSPURGEON trustworthy?
Is it of God?
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
I hereby confess that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh.
[All translations of the Bible that use a Greek text other than the traditional and reliable Textus Receptus ignore the word “ictin” (the Greek word that means “is” in English). This omission causes “is here” to change its meaning from “is come” [is here] to “has come”.
This error is self-evident as non-believers, false prophets and even heretics can, and frequently do, declare that He “has come” [in the flesh.
While this is a true statement when taken at face value, the meaning “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; the valid test to discern between the Spirit of God and the spirit of antichrist.
The most well documented fact in all of recorded human history is that Jesus Christ [Messiah] “has come” in the flesh. The essential question, however, is not whether the spirit [words or person] being tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether Jesus Christ, “is here”, [present tense] (NOW) from God, in the flesh.
30 for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Compare, here, scripture with scripture: “I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here, of the body of Christ].

-As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness- Psalm 17:15
MORNING: October 3rd "Are they[the angels] not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister
for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"— Hebrews 1:14
EVENING: October 3rd "He Himself hath suffered being tempted.” — Hebrews 2:18
A SINNER’S PRAYER
TODAY’S DEVOTION: Written and calendared by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
PRAYER 11, Part 4 of 10 October 3rd UNDER THE BLOOD
Just now may we be consciously passed over by the Spirit of condemnation; may we know in our hearts that “there is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.”
May we feel the peace giving power of the Divine absolution [God’s forgiveness]. May we come into Thy holy presence with our feet washed in the brazen laver [bronze wash-bowl], hearing our great High Priest say to us, “Ye are clean every whit [bit].”
Thus made clean may we draw near to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Further, our heavenly Father, we come before Thee now washed in the blood, wearing the snow white robe of Christ’s righteousness, and we ask Thee to remember Thy people. Some are sore [very] burdened; lighten the burden or strengthen the shoulder. Some are bowed down with fear; peradventure [perhaps] they mistrust; forgive the mistrust and give a great increase of faith that they may trust Thee where they cannot trace [detect] Thee.
The Lord remember any who bear the burden of others. Some cry to Thee day and night about the sins of the times, about the wanderings of Thy Church. Lord, hear our prayers! We would bear this yoke for Thee, but help us to bear it without fearing so as to distrust Thee. May we know that Thou wilt [will] take care of Thine own case and preserve Thine own truth, and may we therefore be restful about it all.
Some are crying to Thee for the conversion of relatives and friends; this burden they have taken up to follow after Jesus in the cross bearing. Grant them to see the desire of their heart fulfilled. God, save our children and children’s children, and if we have unconverted relatives of any kind, the Lord have mercy upon them for Christ’s sake. Give us joy in them — as much joy in them as Christians as we have had sorrow about them as unbelievers.
[I ask this In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His sake, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 63: October 3rd The Seeking Shepherd.
-A son is taken ill far away from home. He is laid sick with a fever, and a telegram is sent home. His mother says she must go and nurse him; she is wretched [stressed out] till she can set out upon the journey. It is a dreary place where her boy lies, but for the moment it is the dearest spot on earth to her. She joys to leave the comforts of her home to tarry among strangers for the love of her boy. She feels an intense joy in sacrificing herself; she refuses to retire from the bedside, she will not leave her charge; she watches day and night, and only from utter exhaustion does she fall asleep.
You could not have kept her in England [at home], she would have been too wretched [ stressed out]. It was a great, deep, solemn pleasure for her to be where she could minister to her own beloved. Soul, remember you have given Jesus great joy in his saving you. He was forever with the Father, eternally happy, infinitely glorious, as God over all; but yet he must needs [had to] come hither [here] out of boundless love, take upon himself our nature, [flesh and blood] and suffer in our stead [place] to bring us back to holiness and God. “
He layeth [lays] it on his shoulders rejoicing. ”That day the shepherd knew but one joy. He had found his sheep, and the very pressure of it upon his shoulders made his heart light, for he knew by that sign that the object of his care was safe beyond all question.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK October 3rd REFLECTORS OF THE LORD’S BEAUTY
C.H. Spurgeon 1834 –1892
-As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness- Psalm 17:15
-Yo en justicia veré tu rostro: Seré saciado cuando despertaré a tu semejanza -Salmos 17:15
The portion [possessions] of other men fills their bodies, and enriches their children, but the portion of the believer is of another sort. Men of the world have their treasure in this world, but men of the world to come [heaven] look higher and further. Our possession is twofold. We have God’s presence here and His likeness hereafter.
Here we behold the face of the Lord in righteousness, for we are justified in Christ Jesus. Oh, the joy of beholding the face of a reconciled God! [Our God with whom we are reconciled] The glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ yields us Heaven below, and it will be to us the Heaven of Heaven above.
But seeing does not end it: we are to be changed into that which we gaze upon. We shall sleep a while and then wake up to find ourselves as mirrors which reflect the beauties of our Lord. Faith sees God with a transforming look. The heart receives the image of Jesus into its own depths, till the character of Jesus is imprinted on the soul. This is satisfaction.
To see God and to be like Him — what more can I desire? David’s assured confidence is here by the Holy Ghost made to be the Lord’s promise. I believe and expect it.
Prayer: Dear Lord, vouchsafe [guarantee] it. Amen.
Thank You Heavenly Father for Your divine promise that I will one day behold Your righteousness and be satisfied to awake in Your likeness and to look into Your face. Give me the desire to be like You today. Thank You for dying in my place so I can be eternally saved . In your name, Lord Jesus, I pray, Amen.

vis. The Textus Receptus TR [Received Text] was faithfully taken from the overwhelming majority of extant texts of the New Testament Greek texts and The Masoretic Hebrew text MT that was meticulously copied by hand [manuscript] of the Old Testament Hebrew absent the defective Sinaiticus and Vaticanus codices. Codices that often are found to be in disagreement with one another. Yet, they are set forth in modern textual criticism as a rationale for the creation of the explosion new editions based on the false assumption that older manuscripts are de facto better. Actually the unsettled changes, reflect doctrinal ambiguities that are used to support secular or denominational biases.
For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in Heaven. Psalm 119:89
MORNING October 3rd
"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"— Hebrews 1:14 -
¿No son todos espíritus administradores , enviados para servicio á favor de los que serán herederos de salud [salvación]?— Hebreos 1:14
ANGELS are the unseen attendants of the saints of God; they bear us up in their hands, lest we dash our foot against a stone. Loyalty to their Lord leads them to take a deep interest in the children of His love; they rejoice over the return of the prodigal [wayward] son to his father's house below, and they welcome the advent [special occasion] of the believer to the King's palace above.
In olden times the sons of God were favored with their visible appearance, and at this day, although unseen by us, heaven is still opened, and the angels of God ascend and descend upon the Son of man, that they may visit the heirs of salvation [the redeemed].
Seraphim [angels] still fly with live coals from off the altar to touch the lips of men greatly beloved. If our eyes could be opened, we should see horses of fire and chariots of fire about [around] the servants of the Lord; for we have come to an innumerable company of angels, who are all watchers and protectors of the seed royal. Spenser's line is no poetic fiction, where he sings:
How oft [often] do they with golden pinions [wings] cleave [cut through]
The flitting skies, like flying pursuivant [angel foot-soldiers]
Against foul fiends to aid us militant!
To what dignity are the chosen [predestined] elevated when the brilliant courtiers of heaven become their willing servants! Into what communion are we raised since we have intercourse [fellowship] with spotless celestials [heavenly beings]! How well are we defended since all the twenty-thousand chariots of God are armed for our deliverance!
To whom do we owe all this? Let the Lord Jesus Christ be forever endeared to us, for through Him we are made to sit in heavenly places far above principalities and powers. He it is whose camp is round about them that fear Him; He is the true [Archangel] Michael whose foot is upon the dragon. All hail, Jesus! Angel of Jehovah's presence, to You this family offers its morning vows [devotions].
EVENING October 3rd
"He Himself hath suffered being tempted. " — Hebrews 2:18
—Porque en cuanto él mismo padeció siendo tentado — Hebreos 2:18
IT is a commonplace thought, and yet it tastes like nectar [sweet fruit juice] to the weary heart—Jesus was tempted as I am. You have heard that truth many times: have you grasped it?
He was tempted to the very same sins into which we fall. Do not dissociate Jesus from our common manhood. It is a dark room [time] which you are going through, but Jesus went through it before. It is a sharp [fierce] fight which you are waging, but Jesus has stood foot to foot with the same enemy.
Let us be of good cheer, Christ has borne the load before us, and the blood stained footsteps of the King of glory may be seen along the road which we traverse [travel] at this hour. There is some thing sweeter yet—Jesus was tempted, but Jesus never sinned.
Then, my soul, it is not needful for you to sin, for Jesus was a man, and if one man endured these temptations and sinned not, then in His power His members may also cease from sin.
Some beginners in the divine life think that they cannot be tempted without sinning, but they [make a] mistake; there is no sin in being tempted, but there is sin in yielding to temptation.
Herein is comfort for the sorely tempted ones. There is still more to encourage them if they reflect that the Lord Jesus, though tempted, gloriously triumphed, and as He overcame, so surely shall His followers also, for Jesus is the representative man for His people; the Head has triumphed, and the members share in the victory.
Fears are needless, for Christ is with us, armed for our defense. Our place of safety is the bosom of the Savior [in His arms]. Perhaps we are tempted just now, in order to drive us nearer to Him. Blessed be any wind that blows us into the port of our Savior's love! Happy are the wounds that make us seek the beloved Physician.
Tempted ones, come to your tempted Savior, for He can be touched with a feeling of your infirmities, and will succor [deliver] every tried and tempted one.
A SINNER’S PRAYER
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus.
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and it’s hopeless for me to save myself. Without you and your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell.
I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion) and justifying my own behavior as "good" or "OK" can never be enough to save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You right now. Lord Jesus. Will You please save me. I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You have said and it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to you. Thank You.
I give myself completely to You, Lord Jesus. I’m sorry for every sin I’ve done and I now turn away from each one and look to You to forgive me, save me and deliver me from future evil. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross paying the punishment that I deserve. I’m a sinner by nature and by my actions. But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed for me at the cross.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was bor n and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.
Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly. But, because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus. You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who, gave up His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.
Thank You, righteous Father of love that you allowed Jesus to suffer and die raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
Thank you for saving me. I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart. Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth., Amen.”
Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, Comforter, Paraclete [one who comes along side] for the new life in Jesus and victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for the execution of this vow.
Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always bear witness of and exalt the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-11
With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Abide in me Lord Jesus in Your name I pray, Amen.
Please allow us to celebrate with you and with the angels in heaven your new birth. Write to:

SACRED LITERATURE:
THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS by John Bunyan is the most famous Allegory, world-wide and the Most widely Published Book of all time and was printed in over 200 Languages. It has NEVER, since 1698, been out-of-print.
Only The King James Bible has been more widely published than The Pilgrim’s Progress.
ONLINE PRINT LIBRARY: (No Enrollment Fee or Registration required)
BUNYAN’S ORIGINAL of 1678: The Pilgrim’s Progress Published in 1853 by Logos
REVISED VERSION: The Pilgrim’s Progrefs [sic] 1999 by Barry E. Horner
OLD ENGLISH PRINT: The Pilgrim’s Progress Part II AKA Christiana
(Christian’s wife, Christiana and children; their dangerous journey, and safe arrival at the desired country.)
Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were loved and read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible. It’s also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.
Comment on Pilgrim’s Progress by Charles H. Spurgeon from the Spurgeon Sermon
“Christ in You”.
Spurgeon: Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah; our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.
Spurgeon Sermon: Christ in You, Preached May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27 From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29 (cit. II. THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, § 5)
You may choose to read, listen or share Pilgrim’s Progress with your little ones as a bed time story. It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims of all ages and will create precious and enduring memories in little ears.
Spurgeon read it for the first time as a precocious five year old reader and would returned to read it over 100 times during the course of his remarkable ministry as a Baptist pastor who is known as The Prince of Preachers .

DEVOTION for October 3rd *A.D. 2024
Written and calendared by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
BC/AD versus BCE/CE Tap here to see why it matters.
*A.D. does NOT mean “After Death”. It is a Latin abbreviation for Anno Domini, a phrase adopted for use in English meaning “Year of the Lord”. The complete, original phrase is "anno Domini nostri Jesu Christi" means "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ”. A.D. or B.C. [Before Christ] describes the division of all human history as either before or after the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A SINNER’S PRAYER
TODAY’S DEVOTION: Written and calendared by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
PRAYER 11, Part 4 of 10
UNDER THE BLOOD

ANECDOTE 63: The Seeking Shepherd.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK October 3 REFLECTORS OF THE LORD’S BEAUTY
I believe it. I expect it.
Prayer: Lord, vouchsafe [guarantee] it. Amen.
Thank You Heavenly Father for Your divine promise that I will one day behold Your righteousness and be satisfied to awake in Your likeness and look into Your face. Help me desire to be like You today. Thank You for dying in my place so I can be delivered (saved for eternity). In your name, Lord Jesus I pray, Amen.

… and pray for the saving of souls and strengthening of believers.
The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [supernaturally fathered] Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but may be having eternal life. John 3:16

MORNING October 3
EVENING October 3
Write to:

MISSION STATEMENT:
MISSION
Our aim is to fulfill God’s purpose in us to save souls, strengthen and encourage believers in the Word, proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ as we serve those in need. We believe the Bible is God’s revealed Word and that through His Word He guides us as individuals and as a local body of believers. We are resolved, God helping us, to study, meditate and pray to rightly divide God’s revealed and preserved Word holding it as the final authority in all things.
The purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to make known the Gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ to everyone. We desire to show the love of Jesus to those in need, especially those in the household of faith. The Bible is God’s everlasting, inspired, (God breathed) inerrant, unchangeable, divinely protected and preserved message of salvation to the whole world. It is the essence of the ministry inspired here.
The inspirational source of preaching, teaching and writing by Charles Haddon Spurgeon is from this same essence. His writings continue to be much read and much used today in the support of Gospel preaching. Such ministry is still flourishing in London at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, the church constructed for the 6,000 member congregation in the 1800's. Our effort here is to increase the publication, circulation and use of Spurgeon's materials for the benefit of the church body as well as all other readers. To this end we have arranged a daily Table of Contents and have added brief annotations [shown in brackets] while maintaining a strict fidelity to the original and unabridged text.
Published Titles from Spurgeon’s written work are used exclusively as the resource from which
selections are made for inclusion into the Devotion each day from Daily Spurgeon:

No servant of God has given a greater legacy of gospel exposition to the world in the English language.
