PRAYER 22, June 15th Part 8 of 10 THE PRESENCE OF GOD
Oh! dear, dear Savior, what could we do without Thee. We are as yet in banishment, [exiled] we have not come into the land of light and glory; it is on the other side the river, in the land where Thou dwellest [dwell], Thy land of Immanuel [God with us], and till we come thither [there] be Thou with us [here]. We have said unto ourselves, How shall we live without our Lord; and then we have said unto Thee,
“If Thy Spirit go not with us, carry us not up hence [from here].”
Oh! be to us this day as the fiery cloudy pillar that covered all the camp of Israel. May we dwell in God; may we live and move in God; may we be conscious of the presence of God to a greater extent than we are conscious of anything else.
Bless the churches. Look on them, Lord; cast an eye of love upon the little companies of the faithful wherever they may be and help them and their pastors, and may the churches be in every place a light in the midst of this crooked and perverse generation. O God, we are waiting and watching for a display of Thy great power among the people.
It is an age of great luxury and great sin and gross departures from the truth; we beseech [implore] Thee defend Thine own. When Thine ark [Ark of the Covenant] was carried captive among the Philistines and set up in the temple of Dagon, Dagon fell before it, then didst Thou smite [kick] Thine adversaries in the hinder parts [ass] and put them to a perpetual reproach, and Thou canst [can] do the like again, and we pray it may be so.
Oh! for the stretched out hand of God. We are longing to see it in the conversion of great multitudes by the gospel, that those who have said,
“Aha, aha, the gospel has lost its power,”
may be made foolish by the wisdom of the Most High, even as Jannes and Jambres were made foolish when they could not do so with their [Godless] enchantments, but God was with His servant. [Be with us dear Lord in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

I remember when once my young heart ached in boyhood, when I first loved the Savior. I was far away from father and mother, and all I loved, and I thought my soul would burst; for I was an usher [teacher’s aide] in a school, in a place where I could meet with no sympathy or help.
Well, I went to my chamber, [room] and told my little griefs into the ears of Jesus. They were great griefs to me then, *though they are nothing now. When I just whispered them on my knees into the ear of him who had loved me with an everlasting love, oh! it was so sweet, none can tell. If I had told them to somebody else, they would have told them again; but he, my blessed confidant,
he knows my secrets, and he never tells them.
Oh! what can you do [you] that have got no Jesus to tell your troubles to?

This is a promise to the God-fearing man who walks in the ways of holiness
with earnest heed [faithful obedience]. He shall have domestic blessedness; his wife and children shall be a source of great happiness at home.
But then as a member of the church he desires to see the cause prosper, for he is as much concerned for the Lord's house as for his own.
When the Lord builds our house, it is but fitting that we should desire to see the Lord's house builded.
Our goods are not truly good unless we promote by them the good of the Lord's chosen church.
Yes, you shall get a blessing when you go up to the assemblies of Zion; you shall be instructed, enlivened, and comforted, where prayer and praise ascend, and testimony is borne to the Great Sacrifice [the Lord Jesus].
-The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion.-
Nor shall you alone be profited; the church itself shall prosper; believers shall be multiplied, and their holy work shall be crowned with success. Certain gracious men have this promise fulfilled to them as long as they live.
Alas! [Sadly] when they die the cause often flags [slows down]. Let us be among those who bring good things to Jerusalem all their [our] days. Lord, of thy mercy make us such! Amen.
Prayer: Thank You Lord Jesus, for Your church body [The Body of Christ]. Thank you that we will be instructed, enlivened, and comforted, where prayer and praise are offered to You, and personal words of testimony are given because of the Lord Jesus, the Sacrifice You made for all believers. May the church itself prosper; May believers be multiplied, and Your holy work be crowned with success by You, You have not done such a wonder in us, just to leave us helpless at the last. You died for Your Church, and I know that You did not die in vain. Thank You, Lord Jesus, Amen.
MORNING June 15
"And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me."

IT was far above the power of nature, and even contrary to its laws, that the aged Sarah should be honored with a son. [a late-in-life conception]
And even so it is beyond all ordinary rules that I, a poor, helpless, undone sinner, should find grace to bear about [carry] in my soul the indwelling Spirit of the Lord Jesus.
I who once despaired as well I might, for my nature was as dry and withered and barren and accursed as a howling wilderness, even I have been made to bring forth fruit unto holiness. Well may my mouth be filled with joyous laughter, because of the singular, surprising grace which I have received of the Lord; for I have found Jesus [the Messiah], the promised seed, and He is mine forever.

The Lord Jesus is a deep sea of joy: my soul shall dive therein, shall be swallowed up in the delights of His society [fellowship].

This is a heretical attempt to ignore the birth and life of Jesus Christ and thereby to write Him out of history. The use of a so-called neutral term “BCE” [Before Common Era] instead of the traditional and historically accurate term “BC” [Before Christ] that separates and defines all history by the birth of Jesus Christ 2026 years ago and replaces clearly understood words with nebulous and duplicitous terminology that make no mention of Him.

A SINNER’S PRAYER

“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.
Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner. But, because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus. You took my place on the cross and provided the way for me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would atone for my sins.
Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free. You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven. Thank you, Father, for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

The issue is not translational.
Marketing ploys by publishing companies with little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions are:

The truth is that the KJV remains The most popular. (is still the most popularly read Bible in America). Over five billion copies of the King James (1769) is greater than all the other versions and editions combined.
The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.
On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.
