PRAYER 22, Part 10 of 11
THE PRESENCE OF GOD
With one heart we put up our prayer on the behalf of the teachers of the young. We thank Thee, Lord, that so many men and women are ready to give their Sabbath’s rest to this important service. Oh! grant that zeal for teaching the young may never burn low in the church. May any that are taking no part in it and who ought to be, be aroused at once to commence the holy effort. Bless the teachers of the senior classes; may their young men and women pass into the church;
may there be no gap between the school, and the church.
Bridge that distance by Thy sovereign grace. But equally bless the teachers of the infants and of the younger children. May conversion go on among the young. May there be multitudes of such conversions. In effect, we would pray that no child may leave the schools, unsaved.
Oh! save the children, great Lover of the little ones. Thou who wouldst have them suffered [allowed] to come to Thee, Thou wilt [will] not forget them, but Thou wilt [will] draw [bring] them and accept them. Lord! save the children. Let all the schools [Sunday School Classes] participate in the blessing which we seek, and by this blessed agency
may this nation be kept from heathenism; [Godlessness] this city especially be preserved from its dogged disregard of the Sabbath, and its carelessness about the things of God.
Oh! bless the Sabbath school [Sunday School] to London, to every part of it, [and beyond] and let Jesus Christ be glorified among the little ones, and again may there be heard loud hosannas in the streets of Jerusalem from the babes and sucklings out of whose mouths Thou hast [You have] ordained strength.
The Lord be with these dear workers throughout today and make it a high day, a festival of prayer and faith, a time when Jesus the Lord shall especially meet with them and bless them.
[I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 321: Paying and Praying.
I was reading the story of a good old deacon in Maine, in America, who came in to a meeting after there had been a missionary collection [offering]. The minister there and then asked “our good brother Sewell” to pray.
Sewell did not pray, but thrust his hand in his pocket and stood fumbling about.
“Bring the box,” he said; and when the box came, and he had put his money into it, the minister said, “Brother Sewell, I did not ask you to give anything, I only wished you to pray.”
“Oh,” said he, “I could not pray till I had first given something.”
He felt obliged first to do something for the great mission work, and having done that he could pray for it.
Oh, that all Christ’s people felt the justice of that course of conduct!
ANECDOTE 315: (REPEAT) Prayer About Common Mercies.
SFX: A Raven’s Cry (click to hear Raven’s unique cry)
Though your prayer should only be about worldly things, and be nothing more than a merely natural prayer, yet pray it; for “He heareth [He hears] the young ravens when they cry,” and I am sure they do not pray spiritual prayers. All that ravens can ask for will be worms and flies, and yet he hears them, and feeds them; and you, a man, though you may but pray at this time for a very commonplace mercy, one of the slighter blessings, yet you may pray with confidence if you have any faith in the gracious Lord.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK June 17th OUR FIELD OF BATTLE C.H. Spurgeon 1834 - 1892
-For the Lord your God is he that goeth [goes] with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you-Deuteronomy20:4
-Que Jehova vuestro Dios anda con vosotros, para pelear por vosotros contra vuestros enemigos, para salvaros- Deuteronomio 20:4
The Battle Belongs To The Lord
by John Michael Talbot with Lyrics (Click or Tap for audio. Sing-along won’t you?
We have no enemies but the enemies of God. Our fights are not against men, but against spiritual wickednesses. We war with the devil, and the blasphemy, and error, and despair, which he brings into the field of battle. We fight with [against] all the armies of sin-impurity, drunkenness, oppression, infidelity, and ungodliness. With these we contend earnestly, but not with sword or spear; the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.[but spiritual]
Jehovah, our God, abhors everything which is evil, and, therefore, He goeth [goes] with us to fight for us in this crusade. He will save us, and He will give us grace to war a good warfare, [fight a good fight]
and win the victory.
We may depend upon it that if we are on God’s side God is on our side.
With such an august [strong] ally the conflict is never in the least degree doubtful. It is not that truth is mighty and must prevail, but that might lies with the Father who is Almighty, with Jesus who has all power in Heaven and in earth, and with the Holy Spirit who worketh [does] His will among men.
Soldiers of Christ, gird [put] on your armor. Strike home [hit the target] in the name of the God of holiness, and
by faith grasp His salvation.
Let not this day pass without striking a blow for Jesus and holiness.
Prayer: Thank You Lord Jesus, that You go ahead of us and fight our battles for us. You (have saved and) will save us, and give us grace to fight a good and victorious fight. We know, Lord, that if we are on God’s side, God is on our side. Deepen my hatred of evil in Your name Lord Jesus I pray, Amen.
MORNING June 17th
“Help, Lord.” —Psalm 12:1
— Salva, oh Jehová—Salmos 12:1
THE prayer itself is remarkable, for it is short, but seasonable [in-season], sententious [morally meaningful], and suggestive [full of expectation].
David mourned the fewness [scarcity] of faithful men, and therefore lifted up his heart in supplication [prayer]; when the creature [David] failed, he flew [raced] to the Creator.
He evidently felt his own weakness, or he would not have cried for help; but at the same time, he intended honestly to exert himself for the cause of truth, for
the word "help" is inapplicable where we ourselves do nothing.
There is much of directness, clearness of perception, and distinctness of utterance in this petition of two words; much more, indeed, than in the long rambling outpourings of
those who only profess [Jesus] Christ.
The Psalmist [David] runs straightforward to his God, with a well-considered prayer; he knows what he is seeking, and where to seek it.
Lord, teach us to pray in the same blessed manner.
The occasions for the use of this prayer are frequent.
In providential afflictions how suitable it is for tried [war-tested] believers who find all helpers failing them.
Students, in doctrinal difficulties, [uncertainties] may often obtain aid by lifting up this cry of "Help, Lord," to the Holy Spirit, the great Teacher.
Spiritual warriors in inward conflicts may send to the throne for reinforcements, and this will be a model for their request. Workers in heavenly labor may thus obtain grace in time of need. Seeking sinners, in doubts and alarms [of uncertainty], may offer up the same weighty supplication [prayer];
in fact, in all cases, times, and places, this will serve the turn [answer] of needy souls. "Help, Lord," will suit us in living and dying, suffering or laboring, rejoicing or sorrowing. In Him our help is found,
let us not be slack [slow] to cry to Him.
The answer to the prayer is certain, if it be sincerely offered through Jesus.
The Lord's character assures us that He will not leave His people;
His relationship as Father and Husband guarantees us His aid;
His gift of Jesus is a pledge of every good thing; and His promise stands sure,
"Fear not, I will help thee."
EVENING June 17th
"Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, 0 well; sing ye unto it. "—Numbers 21:17
—Entonces cantó Israel esta canción: Sube, oh pozo; á él cantad —Números 21:17
FAMOUS was the well of Beer [Southernmost ancient Palestinian town] in the wilderness, because it was the subject of a promise: that is the well of which the Lord spoke to Moses,
"Gather the people together, and I will give them water."
The people needed water, and it was promised by their gracious God. We need fresh supplies of heavenly grace, and in the covenant [divine promise] the Lord has pledged Himself to give all we require. [After the promise] The well next became the cause of a song. Before the water gushed forth, cheerful faith prompted the people to sing; and as they saw the crystal fount bubbling up, the music grew yet more joyous.
In like manner, we who believe the promise of God should rejoice in the prospect of divine revivals in our souls, and as we experience them our holy joy should overflow. Are we thirsting [thirsty]? Let us not murmur [whine], but sing.
Spiritual thirst is bitter to bear, but we need not bear it—the promise indicates a well; let us be of good heart [believing], and look for it. Moreover, the well was the center of prayer.
"Spring up, 0 well. "
What God has promised to give, we must inquire after [seek], or we manifest [show] that we have neither desire nor faith.
This evening let us ask that the Scripture we have read, and our devotional exercises, may not be an empty formality, but a channel of grace to our souls.
0 that God the Holy Spirit would work in us with all His mighty power, filling us with all the fullness of God.
Lastly, the well was the object of effort. "The nobles [faithful] of the people digged [dug] it with their staves [sticks]."
The Lord would have us active [working] in obtaining grace. Our staves [instrumentalities] are ill adapted [not very useful] for digging in the sand, but we must use them to the utmost of our ability.
Prayer must not be neglected; the assembling of ourselves together must not be forsaken: sacraments [ordinances of Baptism and Lord’s Supper] must not be slighted.
The Lord will give us His grace most plenteously, but not in a way of idleness.
Let us, then, stir ourselves to seek Him in whom are all our fresh springs.

This continuing attempt to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible do not prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His Holy Scripture from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion and error.
Note: The New King James Version does NOT follow the Greek text of the Textus Receptus, but a Greek Text fabricated by Westcott and Hort and is therefore inferior to the trustworthy 1769 [1611] King James Version, the KJV!

Who was (is) Charles Haddon Spurgeon
*A.D. did not and does NOT mean “After Death” as many erroneously now think. It actually abbreviates Anno Domini, a Latin phrase adopted into English that literally means “Year of our Lord”. It has been used together with B.C. Before Christ for centuries.
B.C.E is not a synonym for B.C. (Before Christ)] It is not the same thing. Not even close.
B.C.E. / C.E or B.C. /A.D. What’s the difference?
B.C.E. (BEFORE COMMON ERA [or BEFORE CURRENT ERA] ― Anything to avoid all reference or mention of anything CHRISTIAN by atheist and anti-Christians and to remove A.D. [Anno Domini] and B.C. [Before Christ] from being used.
This argument, claims to have a neutral point of view to remove the reference to Jesus Christ by omitting the use of A.D Ano Domini and B.C. Before Christ This argument brings forward a faulty and egregious hypothesis. Without consideration of a person’s religious views analysis of the hypothesis of a neutral point of view (NPOV) must be made.
What is A NEUTRAL point of view? Such a fool’s errand would argue that a point of view could set forth a valid, genuine, authentic and simultaneously be neutral. What? This defies logic. A neutral point of view, were it possible, is no point of view at all. Rather, it’s illogical and by applying simple common sense, impossible. Anytime a point of view is combined, confused or blended with another one so that the properties are clouded, weakened or confused the actual definite and certain POV is lost and any rational adherence or support for it is now moot. A Neutral point of view exists only in the imagination of those who prefer confusion to a true, authentic, genuine, robust and proven point of a verifiable fact.
A neutral point of view, were it possible, would be, at best, illogical, unattainable, indefensible and irresponsible. The king of oxymorons.
Therefore, the mere consideration of an imagined but impossible and unattainable neutral point of view (NPOV) is ludicrous. A point of view cannot be NEUTRAL. An authentic point of view cannot be neutral, or ambiguous, but must clearly advance a singular, definite and certain point of view (POV). It cannot be both a POV and neutral. A neutral point of view is a logical impossibility. A neutral (POV), were it possible, would ignore the historical fact of Jesus Christ’s birth. The pretense of seeking a neutral point of view is therefore misleading and disingenuous.
The Lord Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh,
was born of a virgin 2025 years ago.
He’s alive today, has always existed as God’s eternal and everlasting Word,
and will soon return for his bride, the Church
[The body of all redeemed believers in Jesus Christ].
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory.
1 Timothy 3:16
Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:22
You are invited to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior and Lord and to follow Him in believer’s baptism.
Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Do it] now: for thus it becometh us [is beautifully fitting and expected of us] to fulfil all righteousness.”
Baptism is not a requirement for salvation but it is the willing desire of all believers to demonstrate agreement and consistency with the righteousness of preaching Repentance and Baptism as preached and practiced by John the Baptist is obedience to scriptural teaching. The issue of baptism is therefore not an issue of salvation but of obedience and the fulfilling of all righteousness.
Worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth will spring-up and be manifested in a sense of gratitude from all born again believers. Such trust and worship can come through prayer, Bible reading, scriptural meditation and study. Fellowship in a local church body, hearing gospel preaching and singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs are also acts of worship and reflects active discipleship.
To this purpose, DailySpurgeon, is offered as a reliable, dependable and effective resource.
It is not intended, were it possible to take the place of fellowship or congregational worship in a local body of believers.
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a worker that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing [accurately comprehending and sharing] the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
Trusting in and following the Lord Jesus Christ is our chief purpose. We trust Him for salvation, guidance, strength and our eternal destiny according to His perfect will. We follow Him in soul winning through DailySpurgeon or any other instrumentality He may choose. We invite and encourage non-believers to turn away from sin, look to Him and be saved. We trust that believers (old and new) will benefit from its use knowing that He will sustain, guide and build us up as we are conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

SERMON: The Metropolitan Tabernacle (Charles Spurgeon 1834-1892)
The Strategy of Resurrection John Ch. 20 with Dr. Peter Masters, Pastor
It is clear the resurrection was completely unexpected by the disciples. Here is how it came, first by gentle intimation, then with a caution, then as a proof of Christ's successful atonement, and then as a command to trust in the living Lord.
PRAISE: PLEASE SING Above All by Lenny LeBlanc …Be [be being] filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19

Paul’s gratitude, contentment and blessing recorded in the book of Philippians quotes the principle and practices regarding all contributions to the Publishing Company. We desire fruit that may abound to your account through your generosity: (vis.)
"For even in [the] Thessaloni'ca [jail] ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. Philippians 4:17. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, Exodus. 29.18 a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. …But I know that my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:17-19. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Salute [Greet] every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you All the saints salute [Greet] you, chiefly they that are of *Caesar’s household. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Philippians 4:23 Amen”
* Not only were new converts won to the truth in Caesar's household, but after their conversion they remained in that household. They did not feel at liberty to abandon their post of duty because their surroundings were no longer congenial. [They were now out of their comfort zone but obliged to steadfastly remain and serve there] The truth had found them there, and there they remained, by their changed life and character testifying to the transforming power of their new found faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your prayers.
Let us make daily use of our riches, and ever repair [return] to Him as to our own Lord in covenant, taking from Him the supply of all we need with as much boldness as men take money from their own purse [wallet].

Can You trust this website?
Is it of God?
Is it trustworthy?
1 John Chapter 4
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but [continually] be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses, says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn't confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Hence, I confess [declare and affirm] "Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh."
___________________________________________________________________
He has always existed from eternity past [FOREVER] as the WORD of God. John 1:1-2
And He was born of a virgin 2,024 years ago in Bethlehem, the WORD made flesh,
is alive today, and is coming soon for His *bride, the Church
[*All redeemed believers].
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory."
1 Timothy 3:16
Let me invite you to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and to publicly confess [declare] Him as such before men [publicly]. He will therefore be able to acknowledge and confess you before His Father in Heaven. He is The God of Abraham. Isaac and Jacob. Following your public confession, You also invited to follow Him in believer’s baptism by immersion.
Jesus came from Galilee t o Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Allow this]: for thus it becometh [is fitting and right for] us to fulfil all righteousness.”
Baptism is not required for salvation. Remember, what Jesus said to the thief on the cross, who acknowledged Jesus’ innocence and said to him:
“Remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
And then, Jesus said to him:
“Verily [Truly] I say to you, Today you shall be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43
Baptism pictures the Lord’s death, burial and resurrection and the believer’s new birth.
It bears witness with John the Baptist who preached that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and exhorted Repentance from sin and the Baptism of atonement. Therefore, the act of baptism is not required for salvation but it is an act of obedience to fulfil all righteousness.
