(1 One)   His Name is INCOMPREHENSIBLE!

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.

The issue is not translational.

Marketing ploys by publishing companies  that have little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions  are:
 

• Easier to read.
   

• More modern.
   

• More accurate (Not  true)
   

The most popular. (KJV is still the most popularly read Bible in America)

The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.

On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

God of the Judges, Thou who didst [did] raise up first one [Judge] and then another when the people went astray from God; raise up for us still (our Joshuas are dead) our Deborahs, our Baraks, our Gideons and Jephthahs, and Samuels, that shall maintain for God His truth, and worst [defeat] the enemies of Israel. Lord look upon Thy Church in these days. Lord revive [energize] us. Lord restore us. Lord, give power to Thy Word again that Thy name may be glorified. ANECDOTE 246: April 7th  NOT YET DUE IN HEAVEN.

[George] Whitefield and a company of ministers were talking together and expressing their desire to go to heaven. Good Mr. [Gilbert] Tennant was the only man who differed from them. He said he did not wish to die; and he thought that if his brother Whitefield would but consider for a time, he would not wish to be gone either; for, he said, if you hire a man to do a day’s work, and he is saying all the day, “I wish it were evening; I wish it were time to go home,” you would think,  

“What a lazy fellow he is;”

and you would wish you had never engaged him.

“So,” he said,

“I am afraid it is nothing but our idleness that often prompts us to desire to be away from our work.”

If there be a soul to win, let me stop until I have won it. Truly, some of us might summon up courage enough to say, “I would fain barter [strongly desire to trade] heaven for the glory of Christ, and not only wait twenty years out of heaven if I may have twenty years of glorifying him the better, but wait out altogether if I may outside heaven sing to him sweeter songs, and honor him more than I can inside its walls; for outside heaven shall be heaven to me if it shall help me to glorify my Lord and Master the better.”

 

You have heard, I dare say, that anecdote of good Mr. Whitefield, in his early ministry, lying down, as he thought, to die, in a high fever, and a poor negro woman sitting by his side and tending him. In his sad moments, Whitefield thought of dying ; but the black woman said,

 

“No, Master Whitefield, you are not to die yet : there are thousands of souls to bring to Christ ; so keep up your spirits, for you must live, and not die; your Master has yet a work for you to do.”

Then we can have no reason to be afraid of them. This would show a mean [small-minded] spirit, and be a token of unbelief rather than of faith. God can make us so like Himself, that men shall be forced to see that we rightly bear His name, and truly belong to the Holy Jehovah. Oh, that we may obtain this grace, which the Lord waits to bestow [confer]! Be assured, that ungodly men have a fear of true saints. They hate them, but they also fear them. Haman [an evil man described in the book of ESTHER ― Old Testament] trembled because of [righteous] Mordecai, even when he [Haman] sought the good man’s destruction. In fact, their hate often arises out of a dread which they are too proud to confess [admit]. Let us pursue the path of truth and uprightness without the slightest tremor.

Fear is not for us, but for those who do ill [evil] and fight against the Lord of hosts. If indeed the name of the Eternal God is named upon us, we are secure; for, as of old, a Roman had but to say  -Romanus sum-, (I am Roman), and he could claim the protection of all the legions of the vast empire; so everyone who is a man of God has omnipotence as his guardian, and God will sooner empty Heaven of angels than leave a saint without defense.

                    

Be braver than lions for the right [righteousness], for God is with you.

Prayer: Thank you, Heavenly Father that the wicked shall see those who are called by Your name and shall be afraid. Lord Jesus, I believe and whole-heartedly confess that you are the only begotten son of God. You took my place on the cross and suffered my punishment so I could be forgiven, justified and restored in You. I believe that God raised You from the dead, eternally victorious over sin, Satan and the grave so I could be made the righteous of God in You. Thank you, that You are the resurrection, the risen Lord for each born again believer and more, that You ARE the future Resurrection for all the chosen who believe. I pray in your name, Lord Jesus, Amen.

MORNING April 7th  "O YE [YOU] SONS OF MEN, HOW LONG WILL YE TURN MY GLORY INTO SHAME?" —Psalms 4:2

AN instructive writer has made a mournful list of the honors which the blinded people of Israel awarded to their long-expected King.

(1) They gave Him a procession of honor, in which Roman legionaries, Jewish priests, men and women, took a part, He Himself bearing [with the help of Simon of Cyrene] His cross. This is the triumph which the world awards to Him who comes to overthrow man's direst [most dreadful] foes [enemies]. Derisive shouts are His only acclamations, and cruel taunts His only paeans [hymns] of praise.

(2) They presented Him with the wine of honor. Instead of a golden cup of generous wine they offered Him the criminal's *stupefying death-draught [death drink], which He refused because He would preserve an uninjured taste wherewith to taste of death; and afterwards when He cried,"I thirst,"

they gave Him vinegar mixed with gall, thrust to His mouth upon a sponge. Oh! wretched, detestable inhospitality to the King's Son.

(3) He was provided with a guard of honor, who showed their esteem of Him by gambling over His garments, which they had seized as their booty [plunder]. Such was the body-guard of the adored of heaven, a quaternion [quartet] of brutal gamblers.

(4) A throne of honor was found for Him upon the bloody tree; no easier place of rest would rebel men yield to their liege [feudal] Lord. The cross was, in fact, the full expression of the world's feeling toward Him; "There," they seemed to say, "Thou Son of God, this is the manner in which God Himself should be treated, could we [ if we could] reach Him."

(5) The title of honor was nominally "King of the Jews," but the blinded nation distinctly repudiated that, and really called Him "King of thieves" by preferring [to release] Barabbas, and by placing Jesus in the place of highest shame between two thieves. His glory was thus in all things turned into shame by the sons of men, but it will yet gladden the eyes of saints and angels, world without end [forever].

EVENING April 7th "DELIVER ME FROM BLOOD-GUILTINESS, 0 GOD, thou God of my salvation; and my tongue shall sing aloud of Thy righteousness. " —Psalms 51:14

IN this solemn confession, it is pleasing to observe that David plainly names his sin. He does not call it manslaughter, nor speak of it as an imprudence by which an unfortunate accident occurred to a worthy man, but he calls it by its true name, blood-guiltiness.

He did not actually [personally] kill the husband of Bathsheba; but still it was planned in David's heart that Uriah should be slain, and he was his murderer before the Lord [In God’s eyes]. Learn to be honest with God in confession. Do not give fair [euphemistic, politically correct] names to foul sins; [e.g mistakes, bad choices legal abortion etc.] call them what you will, they will smell no sweeter.

Labor to feel them to be what God sees them to be;

and with all openness of heart acknowledge their real character. Observe, that David was evidently oppressed with the heinousness of his sin. It is easy to use words, but it is difficult to feel their meaning.

The fifty-first Psalm is the photograph of a contrite spirit. [a remorseful sense of guilt, heart-felt sorrow] Let us seek after the like brokenness of heart; for however excellent our words may be, if our heart is not conscious of the hell-deservingness of sin, we cannot expect to find forgiveness.

 

Our text has in it an earnest prayer. It is addressed to the God of salvation. It is His prerogative to forgive; it is His very name and office to save those who seek His face.

Better still, the text calls Him

the God of my salvation. Yes, blessed be His name, while I am yet going to Him through Jesus' blood, I can rejoice in the God of my salvation.

The psalmist ends with a commendable vow:

if God will deliver him, he will sing—nay, more [not just sing, but], he will 
"sing aloud."

Who can sing in any other style of such a mercy as this! But note the subject of the song—

"Thy righteousness."

We must sing of the finished work of a precious Savior; and he who knows most of forgiving love will sing the loudest.

A Sinner’s Prayer.

 

A person may come to Jesus by  believing and (whole heartedly) praying like this:

 

 “Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You.  I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would deserve and spend forever in Hell.

I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion)  and justifying my own behavior as "good"  or "OK" will never  save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me. 
I come to You   right now.  Lord Jesus.   Please save me.  I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know  You always keep your word.  Please save me. You say and  it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming  to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I  give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from  every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done)  and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s  presence.  Thank you for forgiving  all of  my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve.  (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed [poured out] for me at Calvary [at the cross].

Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly.  But,  because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus.  You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for  me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].  
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who,gave up  His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world. 

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and  after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with  You  in heaven. 

 

 I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart.   Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth.,  Amen.”

Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, The Comforter, The Paraclete [true friend who is by your side and always has your back]  for the new life in Jesus and the  victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for Your  empowerment  to see  this promise fulfilled. Alterations to and alternative readings in Biblical Text were brought about by the Critical Greek Text of Westcott & Hort and was used to translate the: NIV, ESV, RSV and other Modern Language Translations. These Greek translations came from the Greek Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  90% is from Vaticanus and 8-9% from Sinaiticus  and were the principle Texts used by Westcott and Hort to invent their Critical Greek Text. There are  more disagreements than there are agreements between these two Codices of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  .

 

From their inferior Greek Text, 17 verses are deleted out of the New Testament in following the Critical Text. 7,000 words in total are deleted.

Codices Sinaiticus  and Vaticanus are counterfeits that were  overwritten in the 10th 11th and  completely overwritten in the 15th centuries. There are more points of disagreement than there are points of agreement between them.

The Geneva Bible was also translated from the Traditional Greek Text, The Textus Receptus [The Received Text] including  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; Puritan Believers whose lives were  beyond reproach.
This Bible was brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

The traditional Textus Receptus [The Received (Greek) Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority (Greek Manuscript) Text [MT] that agree 99% with one another. Other variant readings stem from Greek translations invented by  either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland.  These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus [TR]

 

There is also translational evidence from Jerome’s Latin Vulgate that establishes The Traditional Greek Text as both the OLDEST and the BEST. [Unlike the Counterfeit proofs  offered with The Critical Test].

Is it of God?
YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

1 John 4:1-3
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore I do confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

[All translations of the Bible that use  Greek translations other than the Traditional AKA the faithful Textus Receptus do not have the Greek word “ictin”.  This word  means “is” in English] and  its exclusion causes the meaning of its translation, “is here” to change to “has” come.

This mistake is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists and even  heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come”   [in the flesh].

While this is a true statement, taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”. When “has” come is the meaning   the test God has given in His Word to discern whether words being analyzed are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist is made void.

One of the most well documented facts in all human history is that Jesus The Christ [The Anointed Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the essential question  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether this confession affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  in the flesh.

 

Please Compare and consider [Meditate upon] this scripture with other related scriptures.  Precept upon precept, Line upon line…

Self-Authenticating  [The Bible is considered to be self-authenticating because proponents who believe it to be so know it contains inherent divine qualities—Such qualities are unity, majesty, power, and internal consistency—that reveal its divine origin, that convinces readers of its truth without relying on external historical proof or church testimony.

This concept, championed by the Reformation, know that the Holy Spirit illuminate:
the "heavenliness of its matter," the "efficacy of its doctrine," and the "majesty of its style" within the text itself, allowing God's Word to be received directly, the same way as seeing God's glory in Christ.]
 

Divinely Protected and Providentially Preserved:
Psalm 12:6-7:   6 The words of the Lord are pure words:

7 Thou shalt keep them [Thy Words] (Note Plural), O Lord, thou shalt preserve them [Thy Words] from this generation for ever. (KJV).

 

Isaiah 40:8: 8 The grass withereth, [withers] the flower fadeth [fades] :but the word of our God shall stand for ever. (KJV).

 

Matthew 5:18: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (KJV).

Matthew 24:35: 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (AKJV).

1 Peter 1:23: 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  (KJV).

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV)  also known as The King James Version, Edition of 1769 (KJV), The Authorized Version (AV) and The Geneva Bible are faithful Translations from the preeminent, [surpassing all others],  Traditional Greek Text which predates the name given to the  Textus Receptus [The Received Text] TR, and is superior to all modern Critical Text translations rendered from inferiorGreek Sources that include: (Westcott & Hort, Nestle & Aland,  and Codices Vaticanus, Sinaiticus and Alexandrus).

(KJV) The Authorized Version AV Translation was faithfully translated by fully consecrated,  and dedicated men of faith, beyond reproach, preeminent linguists, language scholars who were fully devoted followers of  The Lord Jesus Christ.   The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [Received Text]:

 

Psalm 119:89  ל   (Lamed)  For ever, [sic] O  Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

 

“GOD’S LIVING  Word” is The Infinitely Inspired and Ultimate Stare Decisis [The Legal Latin Term that expresses the principle of “Legal Precedence”. It means to stand by things decided, and  to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired] and therefore eternally, Divinely and immutably decided FOREVER]

 

4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

 

Therefore, I now confess that “Jesus Christ is here in the flesh.”  

 

[All other English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Receptus erroneously renders the English translation “Has come”.

      

 This Translation error is because inferior Greek manuscripts do not include the Greek word  “ictin”  (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Majority Text of the Textus Receptus) and therefore  the failure  to correctly translate “ictin” [Is Here] into English.

 

 The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV and the Geneva Bible stand alone in making and giving the correct translation: “is here”.

 

This  error: “has come” is self-evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics  can, and sometimes will,  make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, it is a true and factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Yet, while this is, a true and factual statement, the meaning in scripture has now been erroneously changed. The new and erroneous meaning is that now even if He “has come” in the flesh  the confession that JESUS CHRIST IS HERE IN THE FLESH is impossible for THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST who is the creator of all heresies  to confess. Without it, Don’t  believe anything  that is said or written.

 

NEITHER does it provide for the test for believers to discern whether a spirit [voice or written words being read or heard] are from God or from the Antichrist.  It is  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it’s essential that the confession that Jesus Christ,  “IS HERE IN THE FLESH” Be confessed  [be spoken].

Why Have Traditional  Sacred Hymns Endured for Such a Long aTime? 
 

Because God preserves and protects His Word. The lyrics in Sacred hymns are divinely God breathed [Inspired and Spoken by God] words and are therefore infinite, immutable and eternal.

This Website can not replace nor can it be a substitute for the in-person, personal assembling of ourselves together as is the manner of some.  Hebrews 10:23-27  

 

Rather, its purpose is to save lost sinners and to teach and encourage believers through God’s Word and prayer to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ [The Anointed Messiah] in personal discipleship and worship  of the Lord Jesus as we are predestined to be conformed to His very image.

We are, instructed in the Word of GOD to assemble,  praise and worship God. Thus, we must assemble and worship the Lord Jesus Christ and exhort [encourage] and provoke one another to do good works.

Such worship may take place through, congregational singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs, reading, preaching and obeying God’s Word, sharing Christian love and fellowship, agreeing together  with  specific public prayer requests, and reading and exhorting one another in the Word, to provoke one another to love and serve and bear witness with one another in the Holy Ghost.

We pray that you will also be a radiant messenger of God to share the good news of Jesus Christ with every one, encouraging them to believe in Christ Jesus and to become the very image of Jesus Christ. 

 

This ministry was begun as daily e-mails of Faith’s Checkbook by Charles H. Spurgeon were sent to John -Michael’s son, Jon Edward Riley.  Jon shared these messages with others and soon over 300 were added to the mailing list through his witness as he witnessed and  shared  his testimony with them.

Jon was called home by his loving Father in Heaven on January 16, 2021 leaving a legacy of this Website to minister to all who will  benefit in this labor of Love to the glorify God and His Eternal Kingdom. ALL Glory belongs to GOD, alone.

 

Jon is honored here; giving honor to whom honor is due.  Romans 13:7    

 

We pray that many will be born again, challenged, encouraged, and built-up to become fully devoted followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and be conformed to His image; that they might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Romans 8:28-29.

 Jon loved to say, “I’m a blood-bought, born-again Child of God!” to anyone he happened to meet.

… Jon’s  testimony lives on from one who, by grace, through faith was forever accepted in the Beloved; who’s loving ways brought the good news of Jesus to many. and one who is now present with the LORD  in glory forever.  One who, one day, we’ll reunite..

Lyrics remembered  from him singing:   "See my Jesus, Walkin' on duh Waduh"…  an original, inspired song from our beloved  Jon, himself a true and renown original.

…Jon would always say “Later”; [as in, see-ya later] instead of “good bye”.  It was the only farewell greeting he would ever use when parting company with a friend; and, everyone was Jon’s friend.

 … He would never  say “good-bye”.

Now, as we remember the sound of him saying “Later”, it rings true in a  new and deeper meaning and it brings a joy and comfort to the hearts of those whom he loved so well; those who love him still and will forever more.
