Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. But, John forbad [refused] Him and said, “I have need to be baptized of You and [yet] you are coming to me?” [for baptism] And Jesus answering him said, “Suffer it to be so [Allow this]: for thus it becometh [is fitting and right for] us to fulfil all righteousness.” Matthew 3:15
Baptism is not required for salvation. Remember, Jesus said to the thief on the cross, who acknowledged Jesus’ innocence and said to him. “Remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Verily [Truly] I say to you, Today you shall be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43
The act of Baptism pictures the Lord’s death and resurrection and by extension through identification with Him, also pictures the believer’s death to self, atonement, and new, born-again life.
The ordinance of Baptism bears witness to the preaching of John the Baptist. He preached the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and exhorted Repentance from sin and the Baptism of atonement. Therefore, the ordinance of baptism is not required for salvation but should be followed to fulfil all righteousness.
You are invited to Worship Him in Spirit and in truth. This worship may be manifested through prayer, Bible reading, scriptural meditation, gospel preaching, singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs.

PRAYER 25, July 8th Part 2 of 10 THE WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD.
Holy Father, keep Thy people [from sin], we beseech [implore] Thee, for Jesus’ sake. Though they are in the world let them not be of it, but may there be a marked distinction between them and the rest of mankind.
Even as their Lord was holy, harmless and undefiled, and separate from sinners, so may it be with believers in [Jesus] Christ. May they follow Him and may they not know the voice of strangers, but come out from the rest that they may follow Him without [when going outside] the camp. We cry to Thee for the preservation of Thy Church in the world, and especially for her purity. O, Father, keep us, we beseech [implore] Thee with all keeping, that the evil one touch [influence] us not. We shall be tempted, but let him not prevail against us. In a thousand ways he will lay snares for our feet [to trap us] ; but, oh! deliver us as a bird from the snare [trap] of the fowler [bird keeper]. May the snare [trap] be broken that we may escape. Let not Thy Church suffer dishonor at any time, but may her garments be always white. Let not such as come in among her, [Your Church] that are not of her, utterly despoil [ruin] her. ANECDOTE 335: KEEP THE LIGHT BURNING.
Truly, the minister of Christ will feel like the old keeper of Eddystone lighthouse; life was failing fast, but summoning all his strength, he crept round once more to trim [attend] the lights before he died.
May the Holy Spirit enable us to keep the beacon-fire blazing [light in the Light House burning brightly], to warn you of the rocks, shoals, and quick sands, which surround you. and
may we ever guide you to Jesus.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK July 8th AN ANGEL ENCAMPMENT

We cannot see the angels, but it is enough that they can see us. There is one great Angel of the Covenant [the Lord Jesus], whom not having seen we love, and
His eye is always upon us both day and night. He has a host [army] of holy ones under Him, and He causes these to be watchers over His saints and to guard them from all ill [harm]. If devils do us mischief, shining ones do us service.
Note that the Lord of angels does not come and go, and pay us transient [by the way] visits, but He and His armies encamp around us. The headquarters of the army of salvation are where those live whose trust is in the living God. This camp surrounds the faithful, so that they cannot be attacked from any quarter [side] unless the adversary can break through the entrenchments of the Lord of angels.
We have a fixed protection, a permanent watch [guard]. Sentineled [guarded] by the messengers of God, we shall not be surprised by sudden assaults, nor swallowed up by overwhelming forces. Deliverance is promised in this verse
— deliverance by the great Captain of our salvation, and that deliverance we shall obtain again and again until our warfare is accomplished and we exchange the field of conflict for the home of rest.
Prayer: Thank You Father, that security accompanies Your salvation. We therefore offer You the worship of believing hearts. Help us to praise You knowing that You have saved and will always keep each one of us who believes in Jesus. Help me to live in and share the joy of my salvation in Your name, Lord Jesus, I pray, Amen.

WHERE lies the secret strength of faith? It lies in the food it feeds on, for
Faith studies [considers]
what the promise is:
It is an emanation [out-growth] of divine grace, an overflowing of the great heart of God; and faith says, "My God could not have given this promise, except from love and grace; therefore, it is quite certain His Word will be fulfilled." Then
Faith thinks,
"Who gave this promise?" It considers not so much its greatness, as, "Who is the author of it?" It remembers that it is God who cannot lie—God omnipotent [infinitely powerful], God immutable [forever unchanging and unchangeable]; and therefore concludes that the promise must be fulfilled, and advances [goes forward] in this firm conviction.
Faith remembers
why the promise was given—namely, for God's glory, and feels perfectly sure that God's glory is safe, that He will never stain His own escutcheon [coat of arms, shield, reputation], nor mar [blemish or dull] the luster of His own crown; and therefore the promise must and will stand. Then Faith also considers
the amazing work of Christ as being a clear proof of the Father's intention to fulfill His word. "He that spared not His own Son, but freely delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" Moreover faith looks back
on past battles and victories which have strengthened and, have given courage to the believer. Faith remembers that
God never has failed, that He never did once fail any of His children.
Faith recollects
times of great peril, when deliverance came; hours of awful need, when as the day, so strength was found.
Faith cries,
"No, I never will be led to think that He can change and leave His
servant now. Hitherto [in the past] the Lord has helped me, and He will help me still." Thus [therefore]
Faith views
each promise in its connection with the promise-giver, and thus, can with assurance say, "Surely good ness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!"
EVENING July 8th
"Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me: for Thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day. " —Psalm 25:5

WHEN the believer has begun with trembling feet to walk in the way of the Lord [Jesus], he asks to be still led onward like a little child upheld by his parent's helping hand, and he craves [strongly desires] to be further instructed in the alphabet [fundamentals and teachings] of truth.
Experimental [experiential] teaching is the burden of this prayer. David knew much, but he felt his ignorance and desired to be still [yet] in the Lord's school: four times over in two verses he applies for a scholarship in the college of grace.
It were [would be] well for many believers if instead of following their own devices [ideas or notions], and cutting out new paths of thought for themselves, they would
inquire for the good old ways of God's own truth and beseech [implore] the Holy Ghost to give them sanctified [holy] understandings and teachable spirits.
"For thou art the God of my ssalvation.” The Three-in-One Jehovah is the Author and Perfector of salvation to His people.
Reader, is He the God of your salvation?
Do you find in the Father's election, [predestination] in the Son's atonement [justification], and in the Spirit's quickening [new birth], all the grounds of your eternal hopes? If so, you may use this as an argument for obtaining further blessings;
if the Lord has ordained to save you, surely, He will not refuse to instruct you in His ways.
It is a happy [joyful] thing when we can address the Lord [Jesus] with the confidence which David manifests [demonstrates] here; it gives us great power in prayer and comfort in trial.
"On Thee do I wait all the day. "
Patience is the fair handmaid [helper] and daughter of faith;
we cheerfully wait when we are certain that we do not wait in vain [without hope]. It is our duty and our privilege to wait on the Lord in service, in worship, in expectancy, in trust [believing] all the days of our life.
Our faith will be tried [tested] faith, and if it is of the true kind, it will bear [withstand] continued trial [testing] without yielding [never giving up].
We will not grow weary [get tired] of waiting upon God if we remember how long and how graciously He once waited for us.

(1 One) His Name is INCOMPREHENSIBLE!

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.
The issue is not translational.
Marketing ploys by publishing companies with little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions are:

Easier to read.

More modern.

More accurate (Not true)
The truth is that the KJV remains The most popular. (is still the most popularly read Bible in America). Over five billion copies of the King James (1769) is greater than all the other versions and editions combined.
The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.
On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

Note: Spurgeon was taught to read at a very early age and read The Pilgrim’s Progress for the first time when he was six years old. He would return to re-read it over 100 times. He made many references to it in his sermons as Pastor of The Metropolitan Tabernacle in London.

"Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me [Spurgeon] of Mr. Bunyan’s picture in The Pilgrim’s Progress. of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams [ancient weapons of war] had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [melodies], for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. THE WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD.
Holy Father, keep Thy people [from sin], we beseech [implore] Thee, for Jesus’ sake. Though they are in the world let them not be of it, but may there be a marked distinction between them and the rest of mankind.
Even as their Lord was holy, harmless and undefiled, and separate from sinners, so may it be with believers in [Jesus] Christ. May they follow Him and may they not know the voice of strangers, but come out from the rest that they may follow Him without [when going outside] the camp.
We cry to Thee for the preservation of Thy Church in the world, and especially for her purity.
O, Father, keep us, we beseech [implore] Thee with all keeping, that the evil one touch [influence] us not. We shall be tempted, but
let him not prevail against us.
In a thousand ways he will lay snares for our feet [to trap us] ; but, oh! deliver us as a bird from the snare [trap] of the fowler [bird keeper]. May the snare [trap] be broken that we may escape. Let not Thy Church suffer dishonor at any time, but may her garments be always white.
Let not such as come in among her, [Your Church] that are not of her, utterly despoil [ruin] her. O, [Lord Jesus] Christ, as Thou didst [did] groan concerning Judas, so may Thy children cry to Thee concerning any that have fallen aside into crooked ways, lest the cause of Christ in the earth should be dishonored.

ANECDOTE 335: Keep the Light Burning.
Truly, the minister of Christ will feel like the old keeper of Eddystone lighthouse ; life was failing fast, but summoning all his strength, he crept round once more to trim [light] the lights before he died.
May the Holy Spirit enable us to keep the beacon-fire blazing [light in the Light Hou won’t] se burning brightly], to warn you of the rocks, shoals, and quick sands, which surround you. and
may we ever guide you to Jesus.

AN ANGEL ENCAMPMENT
-The angel of the Lord encampeth [camps] round about them that fear him, and delivereth [delivers] them- Psalm 34:7

We cannot see the angels, but it is enough that they can see us. There is one great Angel of the Covenant [the Lord Jesus], whom not having seen we love, and
His eye is always upon us both day and night. He has a host [army] of holy ones under Him, and He causes these to be watchers over His saints and to guard them from all ill [harm]. If devils do us mischief, shining ones do us service.
Note that the Lord of angels does not come and go, and pay us transient [by the way] visits, but He and His armies encamp around us. The headquarters of the army of salvation are where those live whose trust is in the living God. This camp surrounds the faithful, so that they cannot be attacked from any quarter [side] unless the adversary can break through the entrenchments of the Lord of angels.
We have a fixed protection, a permanent watch [guard]. Sentineled [guarded] by the messengers of God, we shall not be surprised by sudden assaults, nor swallowed up by overwhelming forces. Deliverance is promised in this verse
— deliverance by the great Captain of our salvation, and that deliverance we shall obtain again and again until our warfare is accomplished and we exchange the field of conflict for the home of rest.
Prayer: Thank You Father, that security accompanies Your salvation. We therefore offer You the worship of believing hearts. Help us to praise You knowing that You have saved and will always keep each one of us who believes in Jesus. Help me to live in and share the joy of my salvation in Your name, Lord Jesus, I pray, Amen.

MORNING July 8
"Tell me, I pray thee [please] wherein thy great strength lieth [lies] ."—Judges 16:6

WHERE lies the secret strength of faith? It lies in the food it feeds on, for
Faith studies [considers]
what the promise is: It is an emanation [out-growth] of divine grace, an over¬flowing of the great heart of God; and faith says, "My God could not have given this promise, except from love and grace; therefore, it is quite certain His Word will be fulfilled."
Then Faith thinks,
"Who gave this promise?" considers not so much its greatness, as, "Who is the author of it?" It remembers that it is God who cannot lie—God omnipotent [infinitely powerful], God immutable [forever unchanging and unchangeable]; and therefore concludes that the promise must be fulfilled, and advances [goes forward] in this firm conviction.
Faith remembers
why the promise was given—namely, for God's glory, and feels perfectly sure that God's glory is safe, that He will never stain His own escutcheon [coat of arms, shield, reputation], nor mar [blemish or dull] the luster of His own crown; and therefore the promise must and will stand. Then Faith also considers
the amazing work of Christ as being a clear proof of the Father's intention to fulfill His word. "He that spared not His own Son, but freely delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
Moreover
faith looks back on past battles and victories which have strengthened and, have given courage to the believer.
Faith remembers that God never has failed, that He never did once fail any of His children.
Faith recollects times of great peril, when deliverance came; hours of awful need, when as the day, so strength was found.
Faith cries, "No, I never will be led to think that He can change and leave His
servant now. Hitherto [in the past] the Lord has helped me, and He will help me still." Thus [therefore]
Faith views each promise in its connection with the promise-giver, and thus, can with assurance say,
"Surely good ness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!"

EVENING July 8
"Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me: for Thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day. " —Psalm 25:5

WHEN the believer has begun with trembling feet to walk in the way of the Lord [Jesus], he asks to be still led onward like a little child upheld by his parent's helping hand, and he craves [strongly desires] to be further instructed in the alphabet [fundamentals] of truth.
Experimental [experiential] teaching is the burden of this prayer. David knew much, but he felt his ignorance and desired to be still [yet] in the Lord's school: four times over in two verses he applies for a scholarship in the college of grace.
It were [would be] well for many believers if instead of following their own devices [ideas or notions], and cutting out new paths of thought for themselves, they would
inquire for the good old ways of God's own truth and beseech [implore] the Holy Ghost to give them sanctified [holy] understandings and teachable spirits.
"For thou art the God of my ssalvation.” The Three-in-One Jehovah is the Author and Perfector of salvation to His people.
Reader, is He the God of your salvation?
Do you find in the Father's election, [predestination] in the Son's atonement [justification], and in the Spirit's quickening [new birth], all the grounds of your eternal hopes? If so, you may use this as an argument for obtaining further blessings;
if the Lord has ordained to save you, surely, He will not refuse to instruct you in His ways.
It is a happy [joyful] thing when we can address the Lord [Jesus] with the confidence which David manifests [shows us] here; it gives us great power in prayer and comfort in trial.
“On Thee do I wait all the day. “
Patience is the fair handmaid [helper] and daughter of faith;
we cheerfully wait when we are certain that we do not wait in vain [without hope]. It is our duty and our privilege to wait on the Lord in service, in worship, in expectancy, in trust [believing] all the days of our life.
Our faith will be tried [tested] faith, and if it is of the true kind, it will bear [withstand] continued trial [testing] without yielding [giving up].
We will not grow weary [get tired] of waiting upon God if we remember how long and how graciously He once waited for us.

A SINNER’S PRAYER: … FOR WHOSOEVER WILL: [For One and all]
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am hopeless. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross for my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned to Hell. I have been self-centered from birth. Please forgive me.
I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m guilty and sorry for each and every sin I have done and look to You to forgive me of them all.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, because of my sin and You say, “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21.
Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You, to be my Lord and Savior from now on.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I ask You to abide in me and give me the desire to always follow You.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross. Even the sins of the whole world.
Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me even before I was born and that You still love me now. I love You too.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [Holy Ghost, Comforter, Spirit of Truth]
Thank You for saving me heavenly Father. With all my heart, thank you Father for saving me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Allow us to share the joy of your new birth with heaven. Won’t you? Heaven rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7

In defense of the Textus Receptus
John 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [divinely fathered] Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but may be having eternal life.
vis. Textus Receptus [The Received Greek Text] (From the overwhelming majority of extant New Testament Greek manuscripts)
The Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not majority texts, [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.
Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus.
Psalm 119:89-90
89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:
thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]
God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible English Version (KJV) because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are based on defective Greek manuscript created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.
