Oh! help us. Spirit of the living God, continue still to travail [work] in us. Let the groanings that cannot be uttered be still [remain] within our Spirit, for these are growing pains, and we shall grow while we can sigh and cry, while we can confess and mourn; yet this is not without a blessed hopefulness that He that hath [has] begun a good work in us and will perfect it in the day of Christ.

 

Bless, we pray Thee, at this time, the entire Church of God in every part of the earth.

Prosper the work and service of Christian people, however they endeavor to spread the kingdom of Christ. Convert the heathen [unbelieving one]; enlighten those that are in any form of error.

Bring the entire Church back to the original form of Christianity.

Make her first pure, and then she shall be united. O, Savior, let Thy kingdom come. Oh! that Thou wouldest [would] reign, and Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

I have *marveled at the expression used in the text,

 

“I will write my law in their hearts.”

 

To write on a heart must be difficult work but to write in a heart, in the very *center of the heart, who can do this but God?

A man cuts his name upon a tree in the bark, and there it stands, and the letters grow with the tree; but to cut his name in the heart of the tree how shall he accomplish this? And yet

God doth divinely engrave his will and his law in the very heart and nature of man!

So long as the Lord had work for Paul to do in Corinth, the fury of the mob was restrained. The Jews opposed themselves and blasphemed ; but they could neither stop the preaching of the gospel, nor the conversion of the hearers.

He makes the wrath of man to praise Him when it breaks forth, but He still more displays His goodness when He restrains it; and He can restrain it.

No man can harm us unless the Lord permits. He who makes the devil himself to flee at a word, can certainly control the devil’s agents.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord Jesus, that You are with us, and no one shall chase me or want to hurt me in Jesus name, Amen.

 

Pray also that all pastors, workers and believers everywhere rightly divide God’s everlasting Word, divinely preserved by God, Himself as they declare, preach and share the good news that Jesus suffered and died on the cross so that eternal life is given to all who trust in Him. Pray that all redeemed, born-again blood-bought children of God faithfully preach and share this Good News to everyone everywhere.

MORNING March 29th

 

"THOUGH HE WERE A SON, YET LEARNED HE OBEDIENCE BY THE THINGS WHICH HE SUFFERED.” —Hebrews 5:8

WE are told that the Captain of our salvation was made perfect through suffering, therefore we who are sinful and far from being perfect must not wonder if we are called to pass through suffering too. Shall the head be crowned with thorns, and shall the other members of the body be rocked in the dainty lap of ease?

 

Must Christ pass through seas of His own blood to win the crown, and are we to walk to heaven dry-shod [with dry feet] in silver slippers?

 

No, our Master's experience teaches us that suffering is necessary, and the true-born child of God will not, cannot, escape it if he wanted [to].

But there is one very comforting thought in the fact of Christ's

 

"being made perfect through suffering."

 

It is that He can have complete sympathy with us.

"He is not an high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities."

 

In this sympathy of Christ we find a sustaining power. One of the early martyrs said,

"I can bear it all, for [because] Jesus suffered and He suffers in me now; He sympathizes with me, and this makes me strong."

 

Believer, lay hold of this thought in all times of agony. Let the thought of Jesus strengthen you as you follow in His steps. Find a sweet support in His sympathy; and remember,

 

to suffer is an honorable thing—to suffer for Christ is glory.

 

The apostles rejoiced that they were counted worthy to do this.

 

Just so [as] far as the Lord gives us grace to suffer for Christ, to suffer with Christ, just so far [to the same extent] does he honor us.

 

The jewels of a Christian are his afflictions. The regalia of the kings whom God has anointed are their troubles, their sorrows, and their griefs. Let us not, therefore, shun being honored. Let us not turn aside from being exalted. 

 

Griefs exalt us, and troubles lift us up.

 

"If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him."

PRAYER sometimes tarries like a petitioner at the gate until the King comes forth to fill her bosom with the blessings she seeks. The Lord, when He has given great faith, has been known to try it by long delayings.  He has suffered his servants' voices to echo in their ears as if from a brazen sky. They have knocked at the golden gate, but it has remained immovable, as though it were rusted on its hinges.

Like Jeremiah, they have cried, "Thou hast covered Thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

 

" Thus [like this] have true saints continued long in patient waiting without reply, not because their prayers were not vehement [fervent] , nor because they were unaccepted, but because it so pleased Him who is Sovereign, and who gives according to His own pleasure. If it pleases Him to bid [ask] our patience [to] exercise itself,

 

shall He not do as He wills with His own!

Beggars must not be choosers either as to time, place, or form. But

we must be careful not to take delays in prayer for [as] denials:

 

God's long-dated bills will be punctually honored; we must not suffer [allow] Satan to shake our confidence in the God of truth by pointing to our unanswered prayers.

 

Unanswered petitions are not unheard.

 

God keeps a file for our prayers—they are not blown away by the wind, they are treasured in the King's archives [files]. This is a registry in the court of heaven wherein every prayer is recorded.

Tried believer, your Lord has a tear bottle    [Psalms 56:8] in which the costly drops of sacred grief are put away, and a book in which your holy groanings are numbered.

 

By-and-by, your suit [case] shall prevail.

Can you not be content to wait a little?

Will not your Lord's time be better than your time?

 

By-and-by He will comfortably appear to your soul's joy and make you put away the sackcloth and ashes of long waiting, and put on the scarlet and fine linen of full fruition. [dress up for the celebration of His complete answer of love]

A person comes to Jesus by  believing and (whole heartedly) praying like this:

 

 “Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You.  I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would deserve and spend forever in Hell.

I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion)  and justifying my own behavior as "good"  or "OK" will never  save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me. 
I come to You   right now.  Lord Jesus.   Please save me.  I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know  You always keep your word.  Please save me. You say and  it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming  to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I  give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from  every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done)  and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s  presence.  Thank you for forgiving  all of  my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve.  (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly.  But,  because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus.  You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for  me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].  
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who,gave up  His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world. 

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and  after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with  You  in heaven. 

 

 I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart.   Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth.,  Amen.”

Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, The Comforter, The Paraclete [true friend who is by your side and always has your back]  for the new life in Jesus and the  victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for Your  empowerment  to see  this promise fulfilled. God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 4:33­­

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His WORD. All of His Word is inspired, [God-breathed], self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful [omnipotent] Word.

 

 MISSION PURPOSE:         
 

We aim to be fully devoted followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. We trust the Holy Spirit to impart God’s  divine revelation to us from His Word, the Holy Bible.  We trust that many who are lost will be saved, that believers will be comforted, strengthened and encouraged as we are being conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ; all, to God’s glory.

Divine Scripture is God’s infinite, eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable revelation to all mankind.  Herein, all revealed truth is given to the world. It is God-breathed [inspired] , self-authenticating [compare scripture to scripture]  and providentially protected and will endure, immutable, forever.  We purpose, therefore, with God enabling, to rightly divide and follow The Holy Bible in all things.  Personal guidance in Holiness and all divine revelation to His Church body are through God’s Holy Word, the Bible.

Hence, we resolve, God helping us, to pray, read, study, meditate-on, trust-in  and obey God’s revealed and divinely preserved Word,  holding it to be the final authority and legal precedent in all things as the divinely established Stare Decisis [Latin: to stand by that which is decided].

Alterations to and alternative readings in Biblical Text were brought about by the Critical Greek Text of Westcott & Hort and was used to translate the: NIV, ESV, RSV and other Modern Language Translations. These Greek translations came from the Greek Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  90% is from Vaticanus and 8-9% from Sinaiticus  and were the principle source Texts used by Westcott and Hort to invent their Critical Greek Text. There are  more disagreements than there are agreements between these two Codices.

 

17 verses are deleted out of the New Testament in the Critical Text. 7,000 words are deleted.

Codices Sinaiticus  and Vaticanus are counterfeits that were  overwritten in the 10th 11th and  completely overwritten in the 15th centuries. There are more points of disagreement than there are points of agreement between them.

The Geneva Bible was also translated from the Traditional Greek Text, The Textus Receptus [The Received Text] including  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; Puritan Believers whose lives were  beyond reproach.
This Bible was brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

The traditional Textus Receptus [The Received (Greek) Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority (Greek Manuscript) Text [MT] that agree 99% with one another. Other variant readings stem from Greek translations invented by  either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland.  These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus [TR]

 

There is also translational evidence from Jerome’s Latin Vulgate that establishes The Traditional Greek Text as both the OLDEST and the BEST. [Unlike the Counterfeit proofs  offered with The Critical Test].

Is it of God?
YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

1 John 4:1-3
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore I do confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

[All translations of the Bible that use  Greek translations other than the Traditional AKA the faithful Textus Receptus do not have the Greek word “ictin”.  This word  means “is” in English] and  its exclusion causes the meaning of its translation, “is here” to change to “has” come.

This mistake is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists and even  heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come”   [in the flesh].

While this is a true statement, taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”. When “has” come is the meaning   the test God has given in His Word to discern whether words being analyzed are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist is made void.

One of the most well documented facts in all human history is that Jesus The Christ [The Anointed Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the essential question  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether this confession affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  in the flesh.

 

Please Compare and consider [Meditate upon] this scripture with other related scriptures.  Precept upon precept, Line upon line…

“I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here and now,  of the body of Christ]. Because  followers of Jesus Christ are members of the incarnate Body of Christ [The Church] I freely affirm and avow that Jesus Christ is hereNot “Has come”] in the flesh.

Self-Authenticating  [The Bible is considered to be self-authenticating because proponents who believe it to be so know it contains inherent divine qualities—Such qualities are unity, majesty, power, and internal consistency—that reveal its divine origin, that convinces readers of its truth without relying on external historical proof or church testimony.

This concept, championed by the Reformation, know that the Holy Spirit illuminate:
the "heavenliness of its matter," the "efficacy of its doctrine," and the "majesty of its style" within the text itself, allowing God's Word to be received directly, the same way as seeing God's glory in Christ.]
 

Divinely Protected and Providentially Preserved:
Psalm 12:6-7:   6 The words of the Lord are pure words:
as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them [Thy Words] (Note Plural), O Lord, thou shalt preserve them [Thy Words] from this generation for ever. (KJV).

 

Isaiah 40:8: 8 The grass withereth, [withers] the flower fadeth [fades] :but the word of our God shall stand for ever. (KJV).

 

Matthew 5:18: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (KJV).

Matthew 24:35: 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (AKJV).

1 Peter 1:23: 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  (KJV).

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV)  also known as The King James Version, Edition of 1769 (KJV), The Authorized Version (AV) and The Geneva Bible are faithful Translations from the preeminent, [surpassing all others],  Traditional Greek Text which predates the name given to the  Textus Receptus [The Received Text] TR, and is superior to all modern Critical Text translations rendered from inferiorGreek Sources that include: (Westcott & Hort, Nestle & Aland,  and Codices Vaticanus, Sinaiticus and Alexandrus).

 

John 1:1: 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.

(KJV) The Authorized Version AV Translation was faithfully translated by fully consecrated,  and dedicated men of faith, beyond reproach, preeminent linguists, language scholars who were fully devoted followers of  The Lord Jesus Christ.   The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [Received Text]:

 

Psalm 119:89  ל   (Lamed)  For ever, [sic] O  Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

 

“Thy Word” is The Inspired and Ultimate Stare Decisis [A Legal Term in Latin that establishes the principle of “Legal Precedence”. It means to stand by things decided, and  to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired] and therefore eternally, Divinely and immutably decided FOREVER]

 

4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

 

Therefore, I now confess that “Jesus Christ is here in the flesh.”  

 

[All other English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Receptus erroneously renders the English translation “Has come”.

      

 This Translation error is because inferior Greek manuscripts do not include the Greek word  “ictin”  (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Majority Text of the Textus Receptus) and therefore  the failure  to correctly translate “ictin” [Is Here] into English.

 

 The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV and the Geneva Bible stand alone in making and giving the correct translation: “is here”.

 

This  error: “has come” is self-evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics  can, and sometimes will,  make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, it is a true and factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Yet, while this is, a true and factual statement, the meaning in scripture has now been erroneously changed. The new and erroneous meaning is that now even if He “has come” in the flesh  the confession that JESUS CHRIST IS HERE IN THE FLESH is impossible for THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST who is the creator of all heresies  to confess. Without it, Don’t  believe anything  that is said or written.

 

NEITHER does it provide for the test for believers to discern whether a spirit [voice or written words being read or heard] are from God or from the Antichrist.  It is  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it’s essential that the confession that Jesus Christ,  “IS HERE IN THE FLESH” Be confessed  [be spoken].

We are, instructed in the Word of GOD to assemble,  praise and worship God. Thus, we must assemble and worship the Lord Jesus Christ and exhort [encourage] and provoke one another to do good works.

Such worship may take place through, congregational singing of sacred hymns and spiritual songs, reading, preaching and obeying God’s Word, sharing Christian love and fellowship, agreeing together  with  specific public prayer requests, and reading and exhorting one another in the Word, to provoke one another to love and serve and bear witness with one another in the Holy Ghost.

This ministry was begun as daily e-mails of Faith’s Checkbook by Charles H. Spurgeon were sent to John -Michael’s son, Jon Edward Riley.  Jon shared these messages with others and soon over 300 were added to the mailing list through his witness as he witnessed and  shared  his testimony with them.

Jon was called home by his loving Father in Heaven on January 16, 2021 leaving a legacy of this Website to minister to all who will  benefit in this labor of Love to the glorify God and His Eternal Kingdom. ALL Glory belongs to GOD, alone.

 Jon loved to say, “I’m a blood-bought, born-again Child of God!” to anyone he happened to meet.

… Jon’s  testimony lives on from one who, by grace, through faith was forever accepted in the Beloved; who’s loving ways brought the good news of Jesus to many. and one who is now present with the LORD  in glory forever.  One who, one day, we’ll reunite.. 
 

Jon  would sometimes just sing-out some of the following songs on the way to church, or just singing along with the Elvis Gospel CD that was always in our F-150’s CD player while riding with his Dad or,  Best of all, when  an inspired,  spontaneous praise from the Lord would just pop out from his joyful, creative, redeemed and loving heart.

Lyrics remembered  from him singing:   "See my Jesus, Walkin' on duh Waduh"…  an original, inspired song from our beloved  Jon, himself a true and renown original.

…Jon would always say “Later”; [as in, see-ya later] instead of “good bye”.  It was the only farewell greeting he would ever use when parting company with a friend; and, everyone was Jon’s friend.

 … He would never  say “good-bye”.

Now, as we remember the sound of him saying “Later”, it rings true in a  new and deeper meaning and it brings a joy and comfort to the hearts of those whom he loved so well; those who love him still and will forever more.
