A SINNER'S PRAYER:

PRAYER 12. Part 5 of 10
ON HOLY GROUND.
We do with all our hearts pray “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” Lord, help us to do Thy will. Take the crippled kingdom of our manhood [secular humanism] and reign Thou over it. Let spirit and body be consecrated to [You, our] God. May there be no reserves [for self] ; may everything be given up to Thee. Reign forever!
Pierced King, despised and nailed to a tree, sit Thou on the glorious high throne in our hearts, and may our lives prove that Thou art [are] Lord over us; by our every thought and desire, and imagination, and word, and act, in every respect being under Thy divine control.
[In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ] Amen.

ANECDOTE 226: God’s Defense of His Children.
A man is generally much grieved with anyone who injures his children.
I have known a man behave patiently to his neighbors, and put up with a great deal from them; but when one of them has struck his child I have seen him incensed [angered] to the last degree. He has said, “I cannot stand that, I will not look on and see my own children ill-used.”
The Lord says,
“He that touches you touches the apple of my eye.”
Jesus rises from his throne in glory and stands up indignantly while his servant Stephen is being stoned. If I had no other amusement whatever, I would not for merriment’s sake mock the people of God; for it will go hard with those who make unhallowed mirth out of the saints of the Most High. ________________________________________
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK March 14 TENDER COMFORT C.H. Spurgeon (1834 -1892)
—As one whom his mother comforteth, [comforts] so will I comfort you —Isaiah 66:13
—Como aquel a quien consuela su madre, asi os consolare yo a vosotros —Isaias 66:13
A mother’s comfort! Ah, this is tenderness itself. How she enters into her child’s grief! How she presses him [them] to her bosom [gently hugs them] , and tries to take all his sorrow into her own heart! He can tell her all, and she will sympathize as nobody else can. Of all comforters the child loves best his mother, and even full-grown men have found it so. Does Jehovah [God] condescend to act the mother s part? This is goodness indeed. We readily perceive how He is a father; but will He be as a mother also? Does not this invite us to holy [pure and wholesome] familiarity, to unreserved confidence, to sacred rest?
When God Himself becomes -the Comforter- no anguish can long abide [remain]. Let us tell out our trouble, even though sobs and sighs should become our readiest utterance. He will not despise us for our tears; our mother did not. He will consider our weakness as she did, and He will put away our faults, only in a surer, safer way than our mother could do. We will not try to bear our grief alone: that would be unkind to one so gentle and so kind. Let us begin the day with our loving God, and wherefore should not [why shouldn’t] we finish it in the same company [in fellowship with Him], since mothers weary not [never grow tired] of their children?
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, that -As one whom my mother comforteth, [comforts] so will You comfort me. -Please help me to know and receive your tender comfort in all my heart-aches in Jesus name, Amen.

MORNING March 14
“Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall”
[Let him who thinks he stands, wake-up and consider himself wisely so that he doesn’t fall]—1 Corinthians 10:12
—Así que, el que piensa estar firme, mire [que] no caiga —1 Corintios 10:12
IT is a curious fact that there is such a thing as being proud of grace. A man says, "I have great faith, I shall not fall; poor “little faith” [Bunyan’s personified character in The Pilgrims Progress] may [fall] , but I never shall." "I have fervent love," says another, "I can stand, there is no danger of my going astray."
He who boasts of grace has little grace to boast of.
Some who do this imagine that their graces can keep them, knowing not that the stream must flow constantly from the fountain head, or else the brook will soon be dry. If a continuous stream of oil does not come to the lamp [oil lantern], though it burn brightly today, it will smoke tomorrow and noxious [stinky] will be its scent. Take heed [wake-up and consider] that you glory not [don’t glory] in your graces, but let all glorying and confidence be in Christ and His strength, for only in this way can you be kept from falling.
Be much more in prayer. Spend longer time in holy adoration [of the Lord Jesus]. Read the Scriptures more earnestly [carefully] and constantly. Watch your lives [behavior] more carefully. Live nearer to God. Take the best examples for your pattern. Let your conversation be redolent [saturated with a fragrance] of heaven. Let your hearts be perfumed with affection for [winning] men's souls.
So live that men may know that you have been with Jesus and have learned of Him; and when that happy day comes when He whom you love shall say "Come up higher," may it be your happiness to hear Him say,
"You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, and hence¬ ;forth there is laid up for you a crown of righteousness that fades not away."
On, Christian, with care and caution! On, with holy fear and trembling! On, with faith and confidence in Jesus alone, and let your constant petition be,
"Uphold me according to Your word."
He and He alone is able "To keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy."

EVENING March 14
"I will take heed to my ways. " —Psalm 39:1
Atenderé á mis caminos —Salmos 39:1
FELLOW PILGRIM, (click here for complete text) The Pilgrims Progress , say not in your heart, "I will go hither and thither [here and there], and I will not sin," for you are never so [much] out of danger of sinning as to [when you should] boast of security.
The road is very miry [muddy]; it will be hard to pick your path so as not to soil your garments. This is a world of pitch [sticky tar]; you will need to watch carefully, if in handling it you are to keep your hands clean.
There is a robber at every turn of the road to rob you of your jewels; there is a temptation in every mercy; there is a snare in every joy, and if you ever reach heaven, it will be a miracle of divine grace to be ascribed entirely to your Father's power.
Be on your guard. When a man carries a bomb-shell in his hand, he should make sure that he does not go near a candle; and you too must take care that you enter not into temptation. Even your common actions are [sharp] edged tools; you must watch how you handle them. There is nothing in this world to foster [build-up] a Christian's piety, but everything to destroy it.
How anxious [eager] should you be to look up to God, that He may keep you! Your prayer should be,
"Hold me up, and I shall be safe."
Having prayed, you must also watch; guarding every thought, word, and action, with holy jealousy. Do not expose yourselves unnecessarily; but if called to exposure, if you are called to go where the darts are flying, never venture forth without your shield [of faith]; for if the devil finds you without your buckler [armor] even once, he will rejoice that his hour of triumph is come, and will soon make you fall down wounded by his arrows.
Though slain you cannot be; wounded you may be.
"Be sober; be vigilant, danger may be in an hour when all seems secure to you."
Therefore, take heed to your ways, and watch in prayer.
No man ever fell into error through being too watchful. May the Holy Spirit guide us in all our ways,
so they always please the Lord.

A SINNER’S PRAYER: … FOR WHOSOEVER: [One and all]
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am hopeless. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross for my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned to Hell. I have been self-centered from birth. Please forgive me.
I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m guilty and sorry for each and every sin I have done and look to You to forgive me of them all.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, because of my sin and You say, “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21.
Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You, to be my Lord and Savior from now on.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I ask You to abide in me and give me the desire to always follow You.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross. Even the sins of the whole world.
Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me even before I was born and that You still love me now. I love You too.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [Holy Ghost, Comforter, Spirit of Truth]
Thank You for saving me heavenly Father. With all my heart, thank you Father for saving me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Allow us to share the joy of your new birth with heaven. Won’t you? Heaven rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7

He created an excellent legacy of gospel preaching and exposition and is known as the “Prince of Preachers”. Spurgeon has been and is today widely read with great benefit from the 1800’s to this present time. He is the beloved founder of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, England (Still thriving TODAY through the faithful preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.) [Click to live-stream current gospel preaching in real time each Sunday from London by Dr. Peter Masters, Metropolitan Tabernacle pastor since 1970.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, please bless Your disciples toward the winning of many souls, and help us to be loving and compassionate toward all who are in need, especially those in the household of faith. I pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His sake, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not praise or exalt Charles H. Spurgeon beyond the honor due him. He didn’t need or want it when he was on earth and would have no need or desire for it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach HIM and Him crucified.
Precaution: These Messages and prayers alone will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus. Neither do they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word. (The King James version (KJV), known also as the Authorized Version (AV), is the preferred English Bible because its accuracy and fidelity to the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] and the Hebrew Masoretic Text) avoid doctrinal and editorial weaknesses found in many contemporary editions.
Prayer Selection by Spurgeon must not be offered as a substitute for personal, intimate fervent, heart-felt, prayer. It is intended rather, to warm the hearts of those who are in prayer seeking a season of authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Read from the NT Book of Romans Chapter 8.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scripture references in the King James Bible (KJV) inerrant and infallible English Bible because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the established majority text MT from which the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on inferior Greek manuscripts.
The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

In the United States there is no Copyright protection and the KJV is deemed Public Domain. If a new publication changes at least a 10% of an existing publication a lucrative Copyright can be granted. VIDEO Explaining the explosion [over 100] of English Translations of the Holy BIBLE (Video)
In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:
* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above
The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is evil in itself, but because the attitude of being contented to use a blemished version rather than an existing unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has taken the trouble to preserve for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to change over to a version that is based on a defective text.
Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson to all:
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).
