The inspired preaching, teaching and writings  of Charles Haddon Spurgeon were bedrock solid on God’s revealed Word, the Bible.  Spurgeon’s  written publications continue to benefit readers through inspired Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. His ministry continues to flourish in London’s   Metropolitan Tabernacle.  (Brief History)   a church begun in 1650. The building was constructed by members of the congregation in 1861. It continues to thrive and flourish today.

All Bible versions that are NOT  translated from the Textus Receptus [The (traditional) Received Greek Text] include variant  readings that diminish the full  expressions of glory and the most Holy reverence due to the Omnipotent and Almighty GOD.  He preserves and protects it’s  immutably  in the 1769 Edition of the 1611 King James Version  KJV Bible. This version is also known as the Authorized King James  Version  AKJV and the  Authorized Version AV.  ALL GLORY is due to and must be given to the Omnipotent and Omnicient LORD of ALL.

 

The Geneva Bible was also faithfully translated from the Greek Textus Receptus and included  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from inspired, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; They were Puritan Believers known to be  beyond reproach.

This Bible was first brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

 

The traditional Textus Receptus [Received Greek Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority Greek Manuscripts MT that agree 98% with one another. Other variant readings are translations invented by  either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

Can   DAILYSPURGEON  be trusted? Is it trustworthy?

Is it of God?

YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

 

1 John 4:1-3

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

 I therefore must and do audibly confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

 

[All translations of the Bible that have used a Greek text translation other than the traditional and faithful Textus Receptus have ignored the Greek word “ictin” [this Greek word means “is” in English] and causes the meaning of “is here” to  be changed from “is” come” [is here] to “has” come”.

 

This error is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists or heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come” [in the flesh].

 

While this is a true statement, when taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; which is the valid, scriptural test of  discernment to know if words are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist.

 

The most well documented fact in all of human history is that the Lord Jesus Christ [The Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the question of much greater importance,  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] being considered and tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether the confession being made affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here], from God, in the flesh.

“I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here and now ,  of the body of Christ]. Because  followers of Jesus Christ are members of the incarnate Body of Christ [The Church] I affirm and avow that Jesus Christ is here

[Not “Has come”] in the flesh.

BEST TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE:

GOD’S HOLY WORD is (Immutable, [unchanging over time, unable to mutate or to be changed],  inspired, [God breathed], Self-Authenticating [. Providentially Protected and Preserved and Forever Settled in Heaven, Psalm 119:89). The Authorized King James Version AKJV AKA The Authorized Version, AV. Translated from the preeminent and traditional Greek Textus Receptus.

 (AKJV) This Translation is faithfully translated by fully dedicated, preeminent linguists and  scholars who were fully devoted followers of  The Lord Jesus Christ.   The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [the Received Text]:

It is The Inspired and Ultimate Stare Decisis [to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired Holy Scripture] and therefore eternally decided]

4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

[English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Recptus render the English text to be  “Has come”.

        This inferior Translation from such manuscripts do not include the translation of the Greek word  “ictin”  (The Greek word for is)  and therefore fail to correctly render “Is come” [Is Here].  (AKJV AKA AV)

 

This  error is also self- evident, because non-believers, false prophets or heretics  can, and sometimes do,  make a confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is not surprising because the birth of Jesus Christ is arguably the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. While this is true, discernment could scarcely be ascertained as to whether the spirit [words] being tested can be discerned to be either from God or from the antichrist.  While its  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, it is of crucial importance, to hear (and make) the confession that Jesus Christ, “is here,  from God, in the flesh.”

 

By reading and meditating on Scripture in view of other relevant Scripture, God’s Word  self-authenticates:

1 John 4:1-3 with Ephesians 5:30-32

 

30 for we are members of his [Jesus Christs’]  body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

 [We are members of His body, flesh and bones, one flesh with Him, as the church].

He was born of a virgin 2025 years ago, and HE is is alive today,

and is coming soon for His bride; the Church.

 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,

PRAYER 20, Part 7 of  9 December 28th  THE GREAT SACRIFICE.

Lord Jesus, Thou art gone from us. We rejoice that this is the fact, for Thou hast taught us that it is expedient for us that Thou shouldest [You should] go, and that the Comforter should be with us; but, oh! let us not miss that promised presence of the Comforter [The Holy Spirit] .

 

May He be here to help and succor [aid] in all works of faith and labors of love, and may we feel that He has come among us and is dwelling with us because He is convincing the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment to come.  O Spirit of God, bring men to accept the great propitiation [redemption and atonement], to see their sin washed away in the purple flood whose fount was opened when the heart of [Jesus] Christ was pierced, and may blood-washed sinners begin to sing on earth that everlasting anthem which shall be sung by all the redeemed in heaven. 

 

We beseech Thee now Lord, [earnestly pray, asking for You to], look upon all Thy people, and grant every one a blessing. Some are in great trouble. Deliver them, we pray Thee. ANECDOTE 148: THE BRAND PLUCKED OUT OF THE FIRE.

There was one who went to hear, I believe, Mr. Toplady (Composed of Rock of Ages Hymn)  preach, the very day when he was aged a hundred. He had been a constant neglecter of the house of God, but when he arrived at the age of a hundred, attracted by the fame of Mr. Toplady, who was an exceedingly popular, as he certainly was a highly evangelical, preacher, and happened to be preaching in the town where the man lived, he said he would go on that day to hear him, that he might recollect his birthday. He went, and that day God in his grace met with him.

        I remember, too, the instance of a man who was converted by a sermon which he heard Mr. [John] Flavel preach, and which was blessed to him eighty-three years after he had heard it, when he was at the age of ninety-eight. The word came with power to his soul after all that interval of time. Just as he was on the borders of the tomb, he was made to enter into eternal life. May the God of infinite mercy give such a blessing to aged ones here, and they will be brands plucked out of the fire.

Several times in the Scriptures the Lord hath [has] said this. He has often repeated it, to make our assurance doubly sure. Let us never harbor a doubt of it. In itself the promise is especially emphatic [strongly emphasized]. In the Greek it has five negatives, each one definitely shutting out the possibility of the Lord’s ever leaving one of His people so that he can justly feel forsaken of his God. This priceless Scripture does not promise us exemption from trouble, but it does secure us against desertion.

 

We may be called to traverse [travel through] strange ways[places], but we shall always have our Lord s company, assistance, and provision.

 

We need not covet money, for we shall always have our God, and God is better than gold, His favor is better than fortune.  We ought surely to be content with such things as we have, for he who has God has more than all the world besides. What can we have beyond the Infinite? What more can we desire than Almighty Goodness. Come, my heart [come on, man]; if God says He will never leave thee, nor forsake thee, be thou much in prayer for grace, that thou mayest never [you may never] leave thy [your] Lord, nor even for a moment forsake His ways.
Prayer: Thank You Lord that You will never leave me nor forsake me. [Or any blood-bought children who trust in You]   Am I a child of faith?  Yes, because I trust (have trusted) Jesus Christ as my savior and Lord.  Thank You Lord Jesus for dying on the cross for a guilty sinner like me so I can now be born again into Your  righteousness. I believe God raised You from the dead, victorious over death, the grave and sin. Thank you, Lord Jesus for saving me, Amen.

The Textus Receptus TR [Received Text] is the faithfully rendered Greek text with an overwhelming agreement in and among the majority of the 5,321 extant New Testament, Greek manuscripts  known as the  MT. [Majority Text]. The Old Testament Hebrew and Aramaic manuscripts were meticulously copied by hand [manuscript] by the Masoretic scribes. These are the manuscripts  from which  the Original King James version  was translated onto English.

In order for Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Aland to create the Modern Greek to shore up  the many variant reaings brought through highly nuanced readings from the Critical Text theory.  Only Fifty-five 55 manuscripts from the 5,321 Majority Text MT were hand-picked and they were not from the foundational text from which the Textus Receptus was rendered but were selected from  the inferior Sinaiticus and Vaticanus codices. These fifty-five manuscripts  brought  variant readings and were created, ostensibly, to justify the creation of an alternative Greek text to the Textus Receptus which had been under spurious attack by Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Aland for many years.

The Codices known as Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are inferior because they often are in disagreement with the Textus Receptus and incredibly, with one another. They give rise to variant readings and embrace secular doctrine bias not supported by scripture translated from the Majority Text or Textus Receptus.  They have been infused by  invented Greek text where an absence of Greek text from the Fifty-five hand-picked manuscripts was found.

They invented but did not disclose themselves as the source  of the new Greek translation.  They supplied this new Greek translation to all Committee members with the aim to revise the King James Bible. However, They insisted on a code of silence as to the authorship of the Greek Text from which all the Revisions were to be based. All members of the committee were required to agree to this code.

Modern textual criticism is based on the assumption that older manuscripts are, de-facto, more accurate. Actually, the continuous and unsettled changes from their  variant readings reflect error, doctrinal ambiguities and biases not supported by the Majority Text.

Scripture based on The Greek text of Westcott &  Hort and Nestle & Aland of a secular or denominational tradition allow modern textual criticism  to  rob God of His Sovereignty, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Immutability, Inerrancy and  Infallibility and to diminish Glory from His infinite and everlasting “I AM” that deserves and demands ALL GLORY!

God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 4:33­­

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves all of His inspired WORD.  HIS God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, everlasting inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful [omnipotent] Word.

WHEN the Lord in mercy passed by and saw us in our blood, He first of all said  “Love.”   This He did first, because life is one of the absolutely essential things in spiritual matters, and until it be bestowed we are incapable of partaking in the things of the kingdom. Now the life which grace confers on the saints at the moment of their quickening [spiritual birth] is none other than the life of Christ, which, lik e the sap from the stem, runs into us, the branches, and establishes a living connection between our souls and Jesus. Faith is the grace which perceives this union, having proceeded from it as its first-fruit. It is the neck which joins the body of the Church  [the body of Christ] to its all-glorious Head.

Is not this office thine? and thy fit name, 
In the economy of gospel types, And symbols apposite—the Church's neck; 
Identifying her in will and work With Him ascended?

 

       Faith lays hold on the Lord Jesus with a firm and determined grasp. She [faith]  knows His excellence and worth, and no temptation can induce her to trust elsewhere [in anything else]; and Christ Jesus is so delighted with this heavenly grace that He never ceases to strengthen and sustain her  [faith] by the loving embrace and all-sufficient support of His eternal arms.

 

Here, then, is established a living, sensible, and delightful union that casts forth streams of love, confidence, sympathy, complacency [satisfaction], and joy, whereof [from which] both the bride [Church] and bridegroom [the Lord Jesus] love to drink. When the soul can evidently perceive this oneness be­tween itself and [Jesus] Christ, the pulse may be felt as beating for both, and the one blood as flowing through the veins of each. 

 

Then is the heart as near heaven as it can be on earth, and is prepared for the enjoyment of the most sublime and spiritual kind of fellowship.

       THE Christian will be sure to [certainly] make enemies. It will be one of his objects to make none; but if to do the right and to believe the true should cause him to lose every earthly friend, he will count it but a small loss, since his great Friend in heaven will be yet more friendly, and reveal Himself to him more graciously than ever. 

 

0 you who have taken up His cross, know you not what your Master said? "I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother; and a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

 

" Christ is the great Peacemaker; but before peace, He brings war. 

 

Where the light comes, the dark­ness must retire [leave].

 

Where truth is, the lie must flee; or, if it abides there must be a stern conflict, for the truth cannot and will not lower its standard and the lie must be trodden under foot. Fearless of all conse­quences, you must do the right. You will need the cour­age of a lion unhesitatingly to pursue a course which shall turn your best friend into your fiercest foe; but for the love of Jesus you must thus be courageous. To hazard reputation and affection  [love] for the truth's sake is such a deed that to do it constantly you will need a degree of moral principle that 

 

only the Spirit of God can work in you;

 

yet turn not your back like a coward, but play the [be a] man. Follow right manfully in your Master's steps, for He has traversed [traveled, gone across] this rough way before you. 

 

Better a brief warfare and eternal rest, than false peace and everlasting torment [eternal, never ending misery].

A SINNER’S PRAYER:

I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m sorry for each and every sin I have ever done and look to You to forgive them all.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You,  Lord Jesus, right now to save me.  You died on the cross for me, as God’s  sacrifice for my sin.

Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me,  I trust You to be my Savior and Lord.
