King James the First of England Approved, Authorized, Commissioned and provided the leadership to create a new version of the Bible. This new Bible translation was directed by the King to be based on the existing Bishop’s Bible  (The Bishop’s Bible consists of The Old Testament copied from the ancient Hebrew [Masoretic] text.  The meticulous work of preserving and copying the ancient Hebrew text was done by the faithful Masoretes. Their core mission was to safeguard the original Hebrew Scriptures [The Tanakh / Old Testament] so that its meaning, pronunciation and accuracy would never be lost.

The Priest / Scribe ultimate biblical model for this role is Ezra 7:12 “Ezra the Priest, the scribe of the law”.  

The Traditional [original, Received Greek Text] The Textus Receptus is the Master text from which the King James translation of the New Testament is taken. The King James Version of 1769 is Providentially preserved and protected and is the most  authoritative  and most quoted, and most read Bible version ever. It has circulated over 6 Billion copies. This is more than all the other versions and editions Combined and has become the Most Influential, faithful and best Bible ever.

The NEW King James version is inferior to the [OLD 1769] King James.

May experience teach us more and more how to avoid occasions of sin. May we grow more watchful; may we have a greater supremacy over our own spirit; may we be able to control ourselves under all circumstances, and so act that if the Master were to come at any moment, we should not be ashamed to give our account into His hands.  Lord, we are not what we want to be. This is our sorrow. Oh!  that Thou wouldest, [would] by Thy Spirit, help us in the walks of life to adorn [exalt] the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

ANECDOTE 85: October 25th  IMMEDIATE HEALING.
 
We love the physician who heals speedily. If you find a skillful physician who can heal you of a sad disease even in years, you go to him, and are thankful. But suppose some wondrous man who with a touch could heal you, who with the very glance of his eyes could make you well at once, and stanch that blood [bleeding] or stop that disease, or turn aside that evil thing and make you well, would you not go to him, and feel that he was a great physician indeed? 

 

So [it is] with [Jesus] Christ. There shall be a man standing there with all his sins upon his head, and he may yet go down these stairs just [justified], complete in [Jesus] Christ, without a sin, freed from its damning power, delivered from all his guilt and iniquity, in one single instant!

       

It is a marvelous thing, beyond our power and comprehension. It is done in an instant.  God stamps [seals] it; the man is pardoned. He goes away in that same instant justified, as the publican did when he said,

 

“ Lord, have mercy upon me, a sinner,”

 

And then  received the mercy for which he sued [requested].

The Textus Receptus TR [Received Text] is faithfully rendered and in substantial agreement with the overwhelming majority of 5,321 extant Greek manuscripts  of the New Testament known as the  MT. [Majority Text] from which the Textus Recptus was compiled. The Hebrew  manuscripts were meticulously copied by hand [manuscript] by the Masoretic  scribes of the Old Testament. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus codices are inferior as they are found to be in disagreement with one another. They have been combined with invented Greek source texts.

 

A mere Fifty-five 55 manuscripts from the 5,321 were hand-picked from  the compromised codices containing multiple  variant readings set forth in modern textual criticism ostensibly to explain the need  for an alternative Greek text from the Textus Receptus that was for many years targeted  by  Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Aland who invented but did not disclose themselves to be the source  of their new Greek translation. They insisted on a code of silence as to the authorship of the Greek Text  from which all the Revisions were to be made from all members of the committee who were making the 1881 revisions RV  to the King James Bible.

 

Modern textual criticism is based on the false presupposition  that older manuscripts are, de-facto, better. Actually, the continuous unsettled changes from the variant readings reflect doctrinal ambiguities and are used to bolster doctrine that is  unsupported by scripture; secular or denominational traditions or blasphemous  translations to  diminish God’s Sovereignty, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Immutability, Inerrancy or Infallibility and to rob Glory from His infinite and everlasting “I AM” that is deserves ALL THE GLORY.

 

MORNING October 25th

 

"For the truth's sake, which dwelleth [lives] in us, and shall be with us for ever. "— 2 John 1:2

ONCE let the truth of God obtain an entrance into the human heart and subdues the whole man unto itself, no power human or infernal [hellish] can dislodge it [put it away]. We entertain it not as a guest but as the master of the house. 

      

This is a Christian necessity;  he is no Christian who doth [does] not thus believe. Those who feel the vital power of the gospel [of Jesus Christ], and know the might of the Holy Ghost as He opens, applies, and seals the Lord's Word would sooner be torn to pieces than be rent [torn]  away from the gospel of their salvation. What a thousand mercies are wrapped up in the assurance that the truth will be with us forever; it will be our living support, our dying comfort, our rising song, our eternal glory.
      

This is Christian privilege and without it our faith would be of little worth. Some truths we outgrow and leave behind, for they are but rudiments and lessons for beginners, but we cannot thus deal with Divine truth, for though it is sweet food for babes, it is in the highest sense strong meat for men.

 

The truth that we are sinners is painfully with us to humble and make us watchful; the more blessed truth that whosoever believes on the Lord Jesus shall be saved, abides with us as our hope and joy.

 

Experience, so far from [contrary to] loosening our hold of the doctrines  [teachings] of grace, has knit us to them more and more firmly; our grounds and motives for believing are now more strong, more numerous than ever, and we have reason to expect that it will be so until in death we clasp [embrace] the Savior in our arms.

 

Wherever this abiding love of truth can be discovered, we are bound to exercise our love. No narrow circle can contain our gracious sympathies, [as] wide as the election of grace must be our communion of heart [heart-felt love].  Much of error may be mingled with truth received. Let us war with the error but still love the brother for the measure of truth we see in Him; above all let us love and spread the truth [of Christ’s Gospel] ourselves.

HER hap  [good fortune]  was.   Yes, it seemed nothing but an accidental happenstance, but how divinely was it planned! Ruth had gone forth with her mother's blessing under the care of her mother's God to [an] humble but honorable toil, and the providence of God was guiding her every step.

God is very good to those who trust in Him and often surprises them with unlooked for blessings. Little do we know what may happen to us tomorrow, but this sweet fact may cheer us, that no good thing shall be withheld.

Chance [Luck] is banished from the faith of Christians, for they see the hand of God in everything. The trivial events of today or tomorrow may involve consequences of the highest importance. 0 Lord, deal as graciously with Your servants [of today] as You did with Ruth.
     
How blessed would it be, if, in wandering in the field of meditation tonight, our "hap" should be to "light" [land] on the place where our next Kinsman [next-of-kin] will reveal Himself to us! 0 Spirit of God, guide us to Him. We would sooner glean [gather picked-over grain]  in His field than bear [carry] away the whole harvest from any other. 

0h, for the footsteps of His flock, that may conduct us to the green pastures where He dwells! This is a weary world when Jesus is away—we could better do without sun and moon than without Him—but how divinely fair [lovely] all things become in the glory of His presence! 

Our souls know the virtue that dwells in Jesus and can never be content without Him.  We will wait in prayer this night until our "hap" [good fortune] shall be to light [land] on a part of the field belonging to Jesus wherein

He will manifest Himself to us.

 

 

A SINNERS PRAYER  October 25th     
Come to Jesus by believing and (whole heartedly) praying a prayer like this:

“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You.  I will never be able to save myself. Without You and your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell when I die.

      I know that by doing my best or being good or justifying my own behavior as "good"   or "OK" will never  save me.

      I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.

      I come to You right now, Lord Jesus.   Please save me. I believe You died on the cross to take my place and to put my sin nature to death. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You say that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming    to You now. Thank You for saving me.

      I  give myself  to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. Please   forgive me for all my sins. I’m sorry for every sin (bad thoughts, bad words and bad things I have done) and look to You to free me from the guilt and penalty of them, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s     presence. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross and paying for   my punishment. By nature and heritage I am a sinner, but now I'm clean by Your blood that you bled for me at Calvary [on the cross].

        Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on   me.

        Thank you Heavenly Father that You let me see myself as the sinner that I am.  But, because You are good You have made a way I can be forgiven and have even given me the desire to come to You, turning away from my sin and to trusting in the Lord Jesus.  You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have made it possible for me to be born again [from above].

You gave Your only begotten Son to, give up  His life and die on the cross to pay my sin debt. Not just mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.

      Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. In Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and  after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
 

         I pray in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart.   Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth.,  Amen.”

    With all my heart, I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me.
I ask now that You live Your life through me in Your name, Lord Jesus  I pray, Amen.

The hard heart does not love the Redeemer, but the renewed heart burns with affection towards Him. The hard heart is selfish and coldly demands, "Why should I weep for sin? Why should I love the Lord?"

But the heart of flesh says;
"Lord, You know that I love You; help me to love You more!"

Many are the privileges of this renewed heart;   " 'Tis [It is] here the [Holy] Spirit dwells, 'tis here that Jesus rests.  "  It is fitted to receive every spiritual blessing, and every blessing comes to it. It is prepared to yield every heavenly fruit to the honor and praise of God, and therefore the Lord delights in it.

A tender heart is the best defense against sin, and the best preparation for heaven. A renewed heart stands on its watchtower [on guard] looking for the coming of the Lord Jesus.

THE INFERIOR CRITICAL TEXT:

The Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus do not pretend to be majority texts, [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.

Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the  Greek Textus Receptus.

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.

The issue is not translational.

Marketing ploys by publishing companies with little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions  are:
 

• Easier to read.

• More modern.

• More accurate (Not  true)
   

The truth is that the KJV remains The most popular. (is still the most popularly read Bible in America). Over five billion copies of the King James (1769) is greater than all the other versions and editions combined.

The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.

On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.
