DAILY SPURGEON and DEVOTION for June 10th *A.D. 2026 written and calendared for this specific date by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
BC/AD versus BCE/CE Is there a difference?
Yes! This is an unsuccessful attempt to replace the historical fact of the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem of Judea 2026 years ago with nebulous terminology that makes no mention of Him.
* “A.D.” Does not mean “after death” but is the Latin abbreviation Anno Domini [the year of our Lord].
The Lord Jesus Christ has existed from eternity past as the WORD of God. He was born of a virgin 2026 years ago [or present year] in Bethlehem of Judea, is alive today, and soon is coming to receive his betrothed [legally binding and promised] bride to consummate the marriage and celebrate the Wedding Feast with the Body of Christ; all the elect, the called and the redeemed Church .

This video presents historical evidence explaining the explosion of over 100 published English versions of the Bible. This continuing attempt to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible do not prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His Holy Scripture from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion and error.
Note: The New King James Version does NOT follow the text of the Textus Receptus, but. Instead, a Greek Text fabricated by Westcott & Hort, and Nestles & Aland and is therefore inferior to the trustworthy 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV! GOD’S inerrant, infallible immutable, preserved and protected, inspired [God Breathed [Spoken] WORDS.

JESUS CHRIST, THE MESSIAH, IS RISEN INDEED! HE IS ALIVE FOREVERMORE!Resurrection Romans 6:3-5
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
EASTER [Resurrection Sunday] IS NEVER OVER BECAUSE…
Jesus said:
John 11:25 -26
“I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die. Believest thou this?”
2 Timothy 2:8-26
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my [The apostle Paul’s] gospel.
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth [abides] faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth [needs] not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity [sin] .
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth [pottery] ; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet [perfectly matched] for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure [perhaps] will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

A SINNER'S PRAYER June 10th

PRAYER 22, June 10th Part 3 of 10 THE PRESENCE OF GOD
Father, we thank Thee for the Book [The Bible] , we thank Thee for the glorious Man, the God whom the Book reveals as our Savior; and now we thank Thee for the Blessed Spirit, for without His light upon the understanding, we should have learned nothing. The letter [written word] killeth [kills], it is the Spirit [Himself] that giveth [gives] life. (Read Bible text in Corinthians below)
Blessed are our eyes that have been touched with heavenly eye-salve. Blessed are the hearts that have been softened, that have been made ready to receive the truth in the love of it! Blessed be the sovereign grace of God that hath chosen unto Him a people who delight in His Word and who meditate in it both day and night! [We are grateful and praise You for this timeless, unchangeable, infallible gift of Your Word to us in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]
(Attachment: PRAYER 22.doc)
Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, Ex. 24.12 but in fleshly tables of the heart. Jer. 31.33
4 ¶ And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; Jer. 31.31-34 not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 ¶ But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; Ex. 34.29 which glory was to be done away;
8 how shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

ANECDOTE 308: June 10th WEAK THROUGH LACK OF PRAYER.
I know Christian people who used to spend an hour a day in prayer. The hour has dwindled into five minutes. They used to be constant at week-night [prayer] services. They very seldom gladden us with their presence now; and they are not as happy as they once were. I can read this riddle. If a man were to reduce his meals to eating once a week, we could not warrant [guarantee] his health. I would not guarantee that, if a man never ate except on Sundays, he would grow strong. So, I do not think that people who neglect the means of grace, and give up their consecration, can expect to be lively, happy, or vigorous.
When the razor gets to work, and the hair of conscience, resolute devotion to God begins to fall on the floor, lock after lock, [like Samson] the strength is departing: and
only as that hair begins to grow again, and spiritual consecration returns, can these people expect to be useful, influential, and strong in the Lord.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK June 10th A SHEPHERD SECURES THEM by C.H. Spurgeon
-They shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid- Zephaniah 3:13
-Ellos serán apacentados y dormirán,No habra quien los espante- Sofonias 3:13
Safe in the arms of Jesus by Fany Crosby. Sing-along won’t you? Today’s PRAISE music came to mind from today’s FAITH’S CHECKBOOK.
Yesterday we thought of the afflicted and poor people whom the Lord left to be a living seed in a dead world. The prophet says of such that they shall not work iniquity [sin] nor speak lies. So that while they had neither rank nor riches to guard them, they were also quite unable to use those weapons in which the wicked place so much reliance: they could neither defend themselves by sin nor by subtlety.
What then? Would they be destroyed?
By no means!
They should both feed [eat] and rest, and be not merely free from danger, but even quiet from fear of evil. Sheep are very feeble creatures, and wolves are terrible enemies; yet at this hour sheep are more numerous than wolves, and the cause of the sheep is always winning, while the cause of the wolves is always declining. One day flocks of sheep will cover the plains, and not a wolf will be left. The fact is that sheep have a shepherd, and this gives them provender [food,] , protection, and peace.
-None- which means not one, whether in human or diabolical form-shall make them afraid.-
Who shall terrify the Lord’s flock when He is near? We lie down in green pastures, for Jesus Himself is food and rest to our souls.
Safe in the arms of Jesus by Fanny Crosby, Sing-along won’t you? Today’s PRAISE music came to mind from today’s Faith’s Checkbook selection)
Prayer: Oh Lord, thank you that in You, I will be blessed and free from fear. I claim this blessing, because You are always true to Your word. Your perfect love always conquers fear. Thank You, Lord Jesus, Amen,

MORNING June 10th "WE LIVE UNTO THE LORD." —Romans 14:8
—Que sí vivimos, para El Señor, vivimos— Romanos 14:8
IF God had willed it, each of us might have entered heaven at the moment of conversion. [salvation] It was not absolutely necessary for our preparation for immortality that we should tarry here. [It was not needed to prepare for eternity] It is possible for a man to be taken to heaven, and to be found suitable to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light, though he has but just [recently] believed in Jesus. It is true that our sanctification [holiness] is a long and continued process, and we will not be perfected until we lay aside our bodies and enter within the veil; but nevertheless, had the Lord so willed it, He might have changed us from imperfection to perfection and have taken us to heaven at once.
Why then are we here?
Would God keep His children out of paradise a single moment longer than was necessary? Why is the army of the living God still on the battle-field when one charge might give them the victory? Why are His children still wandering hither and thither [here and there] through a maze, when a solitary word from His lips would bring them to the center of their hopes in heaven?
The answer is—they [we] are here that they [we] may
"live unto the Lord," and may bring others to know His love.
We remain on earth as sowers [planters] to scatter good seed, as plowmen to break up the fallow [unplanted] ground as heralds [broadcasters] publishing salvation. We are here as the
"salt of the earth,"
to be a blessing to the world. We are here to glorify Christ in our daily life. We are here as workers for Him, and as
"workers together with him."
Let us see that our life answers its end [purpose]. Let us live earnest, useful, holy lives, to
"the praise of the glory of His grace."
Meanwhile we long to be with Him, and daily sing—
My heart is with Him on His throne,
And ill can brook delay;
[hardly endure any waiting]
Each moment listening for the voice,
"Rise up, and come away."

EVENING June 10th
"They are they which testify of Me. " —John 5:39
—Ellas son las que dan testimonio de mí. —Juan 5:39
JESUS Christ is the Alpha and Omega [A to Z, the beginning and the end] of the Bible.
He is the constant theme of its sacred pages: from first to last they testify of Him.
At the creation we at once discern Him as one of the sacred Trinity [Father, Son and Holy Ghost]; we catch a glimpse of Him in the promise of the woman's [Eve’s] seed; we see Him typified [pre-figured as Savior] in the ark of Noah; we walk with Abraham, as He sees Messiah's day, we dwell in the tents of Isaac and Jacob, feeding on the gracious promise; we hear the venerable [very wise] Israel talking of Shiloh [place of peace]; and in the numerous types [pre-figures] of the law, we find the Redeemer abundantly foreshadowed [prophesied].
Prophets and kings, priests and preachers, all look one way—they all stand as the cherubs [angels] did over the ark, desiring to look within, and to read the mystery of God's great propitiation [gift of salvation to mankind]. Still more manifestly [plainly seen] in the New Testament we find our Lord the one pervading [most important] subject. It is not an ingot [gold bar] here and there, or dust of gold thinly scattered, but here you stand on
a solid floor of gold; for the whole substance of the New Testament is Jesus crucified, and even its closing sentence is
jeweled with the Redeemer's name.
We should always read Scripture in this light; we should consider the word a mirror into which Christ looks down from heaven, and then we, looking into it,
see His face reflected as in a glass—darkly,
it is true, but still a blessed preparation for seeing Him
as we shall see Him face to face.
This volume [the Holy Bible] contains Jesus Christ's letters to us, perfumed by His love.
These pages are the garments of our King, and they all smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cinnamon.
Scripture is the royal chariot in which Jesus rides, and it is
paved with love for the [sons and] daughters of Jerusalem.
The Scriptures are the swaddling bands [soft baby blankets] of the holy child, Jesus;
unroll them and you find your Savior.
The quintessence [overwhelming essence] of the word of God [The Bible] is Jesus Christ [Himself] [the Lamb of God, the Messiah].

A SINNER’S PRAYER
Whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray, calling on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this. Won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.
Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner. But, because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus. You took my place on the cross and provided the way for me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would atone for my sins.
Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free. You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven. Thank you, Father, for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Romans 6:11 Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always give witness to and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 16:8-11With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Live Your life in me, Lord Jesus, in Your name I pray, Amen.
Please allow us to share in the joy of your having received the new birth with you and the heavenly angels in Heaven as they rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everything you hear] but be testing the spirit whether it is of God: because many false prophets have come out in the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesseth [confesses] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come out of God, is of God: and every spirit [voice] that confesseth not [doesn’t confess] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Therefore: I confess [declare and avow] that “Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh.”

His answer was, “What would bother me would be to have a God so small that I could fully explain HIM.”

[*Anointed Messiah]
was supernaturally Fathered by the Holy Ghost, and born of a teen-aged virgin girl named Mary 2026 years ago in Bethlehem of Judea.
He was crucified, and His lifeless body was placed in a tomb. After three days, GOD brought Him back to life again, and raised HIM from the dead victorious over sin, death and the grave.
He is GOD’S Incarnate WORD and Everlasting SACRIFICE, The LAMB of GOD, [THE WORD of GOD made flesh.] The CHURCH is the BODY of *Christ,
*[The MESSIAH.]
[The CHURCH] is HIS espoused [Legally Bound] Bride, for whom HE will come again to consummate their Marriage in the Marriag and Protected Words of GOD.
These WORDS are God-Breathed, [Spoken] Eternal WORDS spoken by Almighty GOD. The same GOD who calls Himself “I AM”, is Omni-Lingual, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Immutable, All-Wise, Omnipresent, Eternally and Supremely Holy. He is the One-and-Only Triune, Three-in-One GOD.
“I and my Father are one”. John 10:30

1 John 5:7 Is the fundamental scriptural basis for the doctrine and essential tenet of the Trinity. [The Triune, [Three-in-One] GOD in-Three Persons (This verse has been omitted or Changed to diminish the authority and the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ or has been Removed entirely from all Critical Text translations by apostates that hold to the untenable goal of False Doctrine that gives rise to all manner of Cults, False Teaching, Heresies, false Prophets, Agnostics, Gnostics, Atheists and Pagans.
Therefore, The incarnate WORD of GOD, [Jesus *Christ

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, [Holy Ghost] and the Water [Life of the Father], and the Blood; [The Sacrificial Blood of Jesus Christ]: and these three AGREE IN ONE. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son, [The LORD Jesus *Christ

The Traditional Text: It's History & Manifestation
By Dr. David Sorenson
In addition to evidence of authenticity from the 5,321 Majority Text manuscripts, this link presents Translational Evidence that the Traditional Text is Inerrant, Infallible and is the Inspired [Word-by-Word, GOD-Breathed Greek Text that moved the Prophets and Apostles to write precisely the Greek and Hebrew words they were told to write by the Holy Ghost]
The Traditional Text. Length: (33:56 minutes)
The Traditional Greek Text was printed by Desiderius Erasmus and was used in the FIRST Christian Church at Antioch. It was later called The Received Text [vis. Latin: The Textus Receptus TR].
Over Five Billion King James Bibles, the 1769 Edition [NOT the NEW King James Bibles based on the inferior Critical Greek Text] account for more sales world-wide than any other version or edition of the Holy Bible.
This is more than all other Bible Versions and Editions Combined.
______________________________________
By Dr. David Sorenson
So, Dr. Sorenson, “I hear You are King James Only.”
No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.
The issue is not translational.
Marketing ploys by publishing companies with little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions are:
-
Easier to read.
-
More modern.
-
More accurate (Not true)
The truth is that the KJV remains The most popular. (is still the most popularly read Bible in America). Over five billion copies of the King James (1769) is greater than all the other versions and editions combined.
The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.
On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

As Jon remembered veterans, we remember him: Jon Edward Riley (1971-2021) who would, on occasion, just bust-out singing the following songs; sometimes, on the way to church sometimes just singing along with the Elvis Gospel CD that was always kept in the truck’s CD player or,
even better, a song the Lord would spontaneously put in his joyful and loving heart.
I LOVE You Lord by Jared Reynolds
How Great Thou Art with Elvis
Lead Me & Rock-a My Soul by Elvis and friends
…Jon always said “Later”; as in [see’ya later] instead of “good bye”. It was his unique way to bid farewell … He would never say “good-bye”. Now, remembering the sound of his voice saying “Later”, it rings true with a new and deeper meaning and it brings a joyfulness and comfort to the hearts of those he loved so well; those who love him still, and always will.
… we are reminded of the promise of the Hymn:
’Till We Meet Again. Amen.

TODAY’S SERMON:
From Spurgeon’s Metropolitan Tabernacle (Brief History)
The Lord’s Agenda John 3:1-13 Dr. Peter Masters, Pastor
A ruling Pharisee, possibly exploring cooperation between Christ and the Temple order, comes by night, but the Lord teaches that only a new birth purchased by Himself, wrought directly by God, and revealed throughout Scripture, can save people, whether Pharisees or ordinary Jews and Gentiles.

Long before the Conservative Resurgence, Dr. R.G. Lee was the Southern Baptist champion of biblical infallibility and inerrancy. In his sermon, “The Word of God – Not Broken and Not Bound,” published in 1930, in which Dr. Lee stated the following regarding the HOLY BIBLE: (KJV)
“All [Prophets and Apostles] who wrote are immortalized by their writing of this great Book, supernatural in origin, divine in authorship, human in penmanship, infallible in authority, infinite in scope, universal in interest, personal in application, regenerative in power, inspired [God breathed] in totality.”
Dr. R.G. Lee preached a much requested sermon called Payday Someday over 1,000 times.
Why was it so powerful? Why was it requested and preached so many times?

Over nearly three years the disciples learned from Christ and came to love him, need him, and recognise him as divine. But for most, personal conversion came late in this period. Peter's vital response is a model and challenge to seekers in every age.

SACRED LITERATURE:
THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS by John Bunyan is the most famous Allegory, world-wide and the Most widely Published Book of all time and was printed in over 200 Languages. It has NEVER, since 1698, been out-of-print.
Only The King James Bible was more widely published than The Pilgrim’s Progress.
ONLINE PRINT LIBRARY: (No Enrollment Fee or Registration required)
BUNYAN’S ORIGINAL of 1678: The Pilgrim’s Progress Published in 1853 by Logos
REVISED VERSION: The Pilgrim’s Progrefs [sic] 1999 by Barry E. Horner
OLD ENGLISH PRINT: The Pilgrim’s Progress Part II AKA Christiana
(Christian’s wife, Christiana and children; their dangerous journey, and safe arrival at the desired country.)
Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were loved and read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible. It’s also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.
Comment on Pilgrim’s Progress by Charles H. Spurgeon from the Spurgeon Sermon
“Christ in You”.
Spurgeon: Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah; our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.
Spurgeon Sermon: Christ in You, Preached May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27 From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29 (cit. II. THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, § 5)
You may choose to read, listen or share Pilgrim’s Progress with your little ones as a bed time story. It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims of all ages and will create precious and enduring memories in little ears.
Spurgeon read it for the first time as a precocious five year old reader and would returned to read it over 100 times during the course of his remarkable ministry as a Baptist pastor who is known as The Prince of Preachers .

PRAYER 22, Part 3
THE PRESENCE OF GOD
Part 3 of 10
Father, we thank Thee for the Book [The Bible] , we thank Thee for the glorious Man, the God whom the Book reveals as our Savior; and now we thank Thee for the Blessed Spirit, for without His light upon the understanding, we should have learned nothing.
(Complete Prayer in e-mail: PRAYER 22.doc)
Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, Ex. 24.12 but in fleshly tables of the heart. Jer. 31.33
4 ¶ And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; Jer. 31.31-34 not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 ¶ But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; Ex. 34.29 which glory was to be done away;
8 how shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

Anecdote 308: Weak Through Lack of Prayer.
When the razor gets to work, and the hair of conscience, resolute devotion to God begins to fall on the floor, lock after lock, [like Samson] the strength is departing: and only as that hair begins to grow again, and spiritual consecration returns, can these people expect to be useful, influential, and strong in the Lord.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK JUNE 10 A SHEPHERD SECURES THEM C.H.
-None-
which means not one, whether in human or diabolical form
-shall make them afraid.-
Who shall terrify the Lord’s flock when He is near? We lie down in green pastures, for Jesus Himself is food and rest to our souls.
Safe in the arms of Jesus by Fanny Crosby, Sing-along won’t you? Today’s PRAISE music came to mind from today’s Faith’s Checkbook selection)
Prayer: Oh Lord, thank you that in You, I will be blessed and free from fear. I claim this blessing, because You are always true to Your word. Your perfect love always conquers fear. Thank You, Lord Jesus, Amen,

MORNING June 10
"We live unto the Lord." —Romans 14:8
The answer is—they [we] are here that they [we] may
"live unto the Lord,"
and may bring others to know His love.
My heart is with Him on His throne,
And ill can brook delay;
[hardly endure any waiting]
Each moment listening for the voice,
"Rise up, and come away."

EVENING June 10
Scripture is the royal chariot in which Jesus rides, and it is
paved with love for the daughters of Jerusalem.
The Scriptures are the swaddling bands [soft baby blankets] of the holy child, Jesus;
unroll them and you find your Savior.
The quintessence [overwhelming essence] of the word of God [The Bible] is Jesus the Christ [the Lamb of God, the Messiah].

A SINNER’S PRAYER: … FOR WHOSOEVER WILL: [For One and all]
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am hopeless. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross for my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned to Hell. I have been self-centered from birth. Please forgive me.
I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m guilty and sorry for each and every sin I have done and look to You to forgive me of them all.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, because of my sin and You say, “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21.
Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You, to be my Lord and Savior from now on.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I ask You to abide in me and give me the desire to always follow You.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross. Even the sins of the whole world.
Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me even before I was born and that You still love me now. I love You too.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [Holy Ghost, Comforter, Spirit of Truth]
Thank You for saving me heavenly Father. With all my heart, thank you Father for saving me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Allow us to share the joy of your new birth with heaven. Won’t you? Heaven rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7

He created an unexcelled legacy of gospel preaching and exposition and is known as the “Prince of Preachers”. Spurgeon has been and is today widely read with great benefit from the 1800’s to this present time. He is the beloved founder of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, England (Thriving TODAY through the faithful preaching of the Gospel and the Sacred Worship of Jesus the Christ [Messiah].)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, please be blessed by the winning of many souls, and give us love and compassion toward all who are in need, especially those in the household of faith. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His sake, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not praise or exalt Charles H. Spurgeon above or beyond the honor due him. He didn’t need or want it when he was here on earth and would have no need or desire for it now, in Heaven. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach HIM and Him crucified.
Precaution: These Devotional Messages and prayers alone will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus. Neither do they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word. (The King James version (KJV), also known also as the Authorized Version (AKJV), is the preferred English Bible because its accuracy and fidelity to the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] and the Hebrew Masoretic Text) avoid doctrinal and editorial weakness found in many contemporary editions.
Written Prayers by Spurgeon must not be offered as a substitute for personal, intimate fervent, heart-felt, prayer. They are rather intended to warm the hearts of those who are seeking a season of authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit. The Authorized King James Bible
URL: https://www.biblegateway.com/versions/King-James-Version-KJV-Bible/
The above link is to search for specific words or Scripture references in the King James Bible (KJV) inerrant and infallible English Bible because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the established majority text MT from which the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). These manuscripts are providentially protected, and frequently give greater glory to God when compared to variant readings of all modern translations from Modern Critical Texts based on inferior Greek manuscripts.
The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.
Copyright: The King James Version is distinguished by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No one other than the Crown’s printer, is allowed print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.
In the United States there is no Copyright protection and the KJV is deemed Public Domain. If a new publication changes at least a 10% of an existing publication a lucrative Copyright can be granted. Therefore the NKJV and many other copyrighted translations. Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is translated from the superior Greek Textus Receptus as its Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek text Source.

Brooke Foss Westcott and Fenton John Anthony Hort (Text only)
URL: https://www.febc.edu.sg/v15/article/def_the_INSIDE STORY_of_westcott_and_hort
In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:
* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above
The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on a defective text. Those who want to honor the Word of God must not promote the use of any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, without error unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it would be to Him if His people now chose instead to use versions that are based on defective Greek manuscript created by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.
Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson for us all:
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).
