         BLESSED art Thou [BLESSED YOU are] , O God; teach us Thy statutes! [Your Word, Law] Because Thou art the infinitely blessed One, Thou canst impart [You can give] blessing, and Thou art [You are] infinitely willing to do so, and therefore do we approach Thee [Come to You] with great confidence, through Jesus Christ Thy [Your] Son, whom Thou hast [You have] made blessed for evermore.  Oh! hear Thou the voice of  Thy servants this day, [Please, hear the voice of Your servants today] and according to Thine [Your] infinite love and wisdom answer Thou us [Please answer us] ; according to Thy [Your] riches in glory, by Christ Jesus. ANECDOTE 264: April 25th      INFIDELITY, A FRAIL SUPPORT.
 

In the backwoods of Canada there resided [lived] a good minister, who one evening went out to meditate in the fields, as did Isaac [Jacob’s promised son]. He [the Canadian minister] soon found himself on the borders of a forest, which he entered,  and walked along a track [trail] which had been trodden before him; musing, musing still, [continuously] until at last the shadows of twilight gathered around him, and he began to think how he should spend a night in the forest. He trembled at the idea of remaining there, with the poor shelter of a tree into which he would be compelled [forced] to climb. On a sudden he saw a light in the distance, among the trees, and imagining that it might be from the window of some cottage where he would find a hospitable retreat, he hastened to it, and to his surprise saw a space cleared, and trees laid down to make a platform, and upon it a speaker addressing a multitude. He thought to himself,  “I have stumbled on a company of people, who in this dark forest have assembled to worship God, and some minister is preaching to them, at this late hour of the evening, concerning the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;”  but to his surprise and horror, when he came nearer, he found a young man declaiming against God, daring the Almighty to do his worst upon him, speaking terrible things in wrath against the justice of the Most High, and venturing most bold and lawful assertions concerning his own disbelief in a future state. It was altogether a singular scene; it was lighted up by pine-knots, [burning] which cast a glare here and there, while the thick darkness in other places still reigned. The people were intent on listening to the orator, and when he sat down thunders of applause were given to him; each one seeming to emulate the other in his praise. Thought the minister, “I must not let this pass; I must rise and speak; the honor of my God and his cause demand it.” But he feared to speak, for he knew not what to say, having come there suddenly; but he would have ventured, had not something else occurred. A man of middle age, hale and strong, rose, and leaning on his staff, he said : “My friends, I have a word to speak to you to-night. I am not about to refute any of the arguments of the orator; I shall not *criticize his style; I shall say nothing concerning what I believe to be the blasphemies he has uttered; but I shall simply relate to you a fact, and after I have done that, you shall draw your own conclusions. Yesterday I walked by the side of yonder river; I saw on its floods a young man in a boat. The boat was unmanageable; it was going fast toward the rapids; he could not use the oars, and I saw that he was not capable of bringing the boat to the shore. I saw that young man wring his hands in agony; by-and-by he gave up the attempt to save his life, kneeled down and cried with desperate earnestness,  “0, God ! save my soul!  If my body can not be saved, save my soul.”  I heard him confess that he had been a blasphemer; I heard him vow that if his life were spared, he would never be such again; I heard him implore the mercy of heaven for Jesus Christ’s sake, and earnestly plead that he might be washed in his blood.  These arms saved that young man from the flood; I plunged in, brought the boat to shore, and saved his life.  That same young man has just now addressed you, and cursed his Maker. What say you to this, sirs ?” The speaker sat down. You may guess what a shudder ran through the young man himself, and how the audience in one moment changed their notes, and saw that after all, while it was a fine thing to brag and bravado against Almighty God on dry land, and when danger was distant, it was not quite so grand to think ill of him when near the verge of the grave. We believe there is enough conscience in every man to convince him that God must punish him for his sin; therefore, we think that our text will wake an echo in every heart.  “If he [the wicked] turn not, he [God] will whet [sharpen] his sword.”

WHAT TO LEAVE CHILDREN

-The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him-   Proverbs 20:7

Anxiety [worry] about our family is natural, but we shall be wise if we turn it into care about our own character. If we walk before the Lord in integrity, we shall do more to bless our descendants than if we bequeathed them large estates. A father’s holy life is a rich legacy for his sons.  The upright man leaves his heirs his example, and this in itself will be a mine of true wealth. How many men may trace their success in life to the example of their parents!  He leaves them also his repute.[reputation] Men think all the better of us as the sons of a man who could be trusted, the successors of a tradesman of excellent repute. Oh, that all young men were anxious [eager] to keep up the family name!  Above all, he leaves his children his prayers and the blessing of a prayer-hearing God, and these make our offspring to be favored among the sons of men. God will save them even after we are dead. Oh, that they might be saved at once!  Our integrity may be God’s means of saving our sons and daughters. If they see the truth of our religion proved by our lives, it may be that they will believe in Jesus for themselves.  Lord, fulfill this word to my household!

 

Prayer: Thank you Lord that the children of a just man waketh after him in his simple, holy integrity.  Open my ears, Lord Jesus and let me walk in integrity] knowing that Your promise is sure.  I believe that You died for my sins and that God raised You from the dead. Thank You that I am kept by Your faith. Galatians 2:20.  I rejoice with the angels in heaven for each sinner that looks to You and is saved by Your grace. Luke 15:7.

 MORNING  April 25th   

"RISE UP MY LOVE, MY FAIR ONE, AND COME AWAY." —Song of Solomon 2:10
 

 --Levántate, mi amor, hermosa mía, y vente.-- Cantares 2:10 

LO [Listen], I hear the voice of my Beloved! He speaks to me! Fair weather is smiling on the face of the earth, and He would not have me spiritually asleep while nature is all around me awaking from her winter's rest. He bids me "Rise up," and well He may, for I have long enough been lying among the pots [trappings] of worldliness. He is risen; I am risen in Him; why then should I cleave to the dust [hold on to the dirt]? From lower [worldly and fleshly] loves, desires, pursuits, and aspirations, I would rise toward Him. He calls me by the sweet title of "My love," and counts me fair; this is a good argument for my rising. If He has exalted [lifted] me, and thinks I am beautiful, how can I linger [hang around] in the tents of  Kedar and find congenial associates [polite acquaintances] among the sons of men? He bids me [calls to me] "Come away." Further and further from everything selfish, low, worldly, sinful, He calls me; from the outwardly religious [hypocritical] world which knows Him not, and has no sympathy with the mystery of the higher life, He calls me. "Come away" has no harsh sound in it to my ear, for what is there to hold me in this wilderness of vanity [self-centeredness] and sin? O my Lord, would that I could come away, but I am trapped among the thorns, and cannot escape from them as I would. I would, if it were possible, have neither eyes, nor ears, nor heart for sin. You call me to Yourself by saying "Come away," and this is a melodious call indeed. To come to You is to come home from exile [a foreign land], to come to land out of the [sea’s] raging storm, to come to rest after long labor, to come to the goal of my desires and the summit of my wishes. But Lord, how can a stone rise, how can a lump of clay come away from the horrible pit? O raise me; draw me. Your grace can do it. Send Your Holy Spirit to kindle sacred flames of love in my heart, and I will continue to rise until I leave life and time behind me, and indeed come away.

EVENING April 25th   

 “IF ANY MAN HEAR MY VOICE, AND OPEN THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM.” —Revelation 3:20

WHAT is your desire this evening? Is it set on heavenly things. Do you long to enjoy the high doctrine of eternal love? Do you desire liberty [peace of mind and freedom] in very close communion with God? Do you aspire to know the heights, and depths, and lengths, and breadths [of the Lord]? Then you must draw near to Jesus. You must get a clear sight of Him in His preciousness and completeness: you must view Him in His work, in His offices, in His person. He who understands Christ, receives an anointing [Holy presence] from the Holy One, by which He knows all things. Christ is the great master key of all the chambers [rooms in the mansions] of God: there is no treasure house of God which will not open and yield upall its wealth to the soul that lives near to Jesus. Are you saying, "0 that He would dwell in my bosom [heart]"? "Would that He would make my heart His dwelling-place for ever"? Open the door, beloved, and He will come into your soul. He has long been knocking, and all with this object, that he may commune with you, and you with Him. He sups [has supper {dinner}] with you because you find the house or the heart [the place], and you with Him because He brings the provision. He could not sup with you if it were not in your heart, you finding the house; nor could you sup with Him, for you have a bare cupboard [shelf or store-room], if He did not bring the provision [food] with Him. Fling [throw open] wide, then, the doors of your soul. He will come with that love you long to feel; He will come with that joy you cannot work up in your poor depressed spirit; He will bring the peace you lack; He will come with His flagons [containers] of wine and sweet apples of love, and cheer you till you have no other sick­ness but that of "love o'er-powering, love divine." Only open the door to Him, drive out His enemies, give Him the keys of your heart, and He will dwell there forever. Oh, wondrous love, that brings such a guest to dwell in such a heart! [as mine]

A SINNER’S PRAYER: April 25th    (FOR WHOSOEVER):
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

  

 Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved    … won’t you?   

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner hopeless without You.  I would never be able to save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned in Hell. By nature  and  practice I am a natural-born sinner. I’m  totally depraved and  I sin because I am a sinner. Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best or being as good as possible, or being better than other people or having good excuses can never save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You,  by name,  Lord Jesus, right now to save me.  You died on the cross in my place to pay  for my sin. Your Word says,  “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21. Thank You, Lord.

 

     Right now, I surrender my sinful self  to You,  just as I am, Lord Jesus. I trust You to forgive me and save me and be my Lord and Savior.
Please forgive me for all my sins. I’m sorry for every sin (bad thoughts, words and things I have done) and look to You to forgive me of them all.  I need your strength to overcome sin’s temptations. Thank you for forgiving me.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross. 

    Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You still love me.
 

    Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have made the way  to save me  and have drawn me away from sin and death into Life  in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.  He took  my place, suffered and died for punishment that I deserved.

 

     Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. In Christ Jesus there is therefore now no condemnation.
 

     Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for the Holy Spirit you will send for my guidance, comfort  and solemn instruction into all truth,  Amen.”

    With all my heart, I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. In your name, Lord Jesus I pray, Amen.

No, I’m Traditional Text only. But if you come to the view and the conviction of being Traditional Text only, you will be Only King James.

The issue is not translational.

Marketing ploys by publishing companies  that have little basis in reality would have us to believe that the new versions  are:
 

• Easier to read.
   

• More modern.
   

• More accurate (Not  true)
   

The most popular. (KJV is still the most popularly read Bible in America)

The issue comes down to the textual issue. By That, I refer to the underlying Greek text. I guess we could say texts, plural but particularly that of the New Testament. On the one hand is the Traditional Text from which the only major English translation is the King James Version of the Bible. The Traditional Text.

On the other hand, is the Critical Text sometimes called the eclectic text from whence all the other translations come. And some will say well there really is no difference between them. The difference you could amount to is just the footnotes in the bottom of a page. (This is Not true) He was not dishonest but just repeating what someone had told him.

A Sinner’s Prayer.

 

A person may come to Jesus by  believing and (whole heartedly) praying like this:

 

 “Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You.  I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would deserve and spend forever in Hell.

I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion)  and justifying my own behavior as "good"  or "OK" will never  save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me. 
I come to You   right now.  Lord Jesus.   Please save me.  I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know  You always keep your word.  Please save me. You say and  it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming  to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I  give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from  every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done)  and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s  presence.  Thank you for forgiving  all of  my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve.  (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed [poured out] for me at Calvary [at the cross].

You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who,gave up  His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world. 

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and  after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with  You  in heaven. 

 

 I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart.   Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth.,  Amen.”

Alterations to and alternative readings in Biblical Text were brought about by the Critical Greek Text of Westcott & Hort and was used to translate the: NIV, ESV, RSV and other Modern Language Translations who’s Greek translations are from the Greek Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  90% is from Vaticanus and 8-9% from Sinaiticus  and were the principle Texts used by Westcott and Hort to invent their Critical Greek Text. There are  more disagreements than there are agreements between these two Codices of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  .

 

From these inferior Greek Codices, 17 verses are deleted out of the New Testament in following the Critical Text. 7,000 words in total are deleted.

Codices Sinaiticus  and Vaticanus are counterfeits that were  overwritten in the 10th 11th and  completely overwritten in the 15th centuries. There are more points of disagreement than there are points of agreement between them.

IN ADDITION TO THE KING JAMES BIBLE, The Geneva Bible was also translated from the Traditional Greek Text, The Textus Receptus [The Received Text] including  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; Puritan Believers whose lives were  beyond reproach.
This Bible was brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

The traditional Textus Receptus [The Received (Greek) Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority (Greek Manuscript) Text [MT] that agree 99% with one another. Other variant readings stem from Greek translations invented by  Westcott and Hort and Nestle and Aland.  These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus [TR]

 

There is also translational evidence from Jerome’s Latin Vulgate that establishes The Traditional Greek Text as both the OLDEST and the BEST. [Unlike the Counterfeit proofs  offered with The Critical Test].

Is it of God?
YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

1 John 4:1-3
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore I do confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

[All translations of the Bible that use  Greek translations other than the Traditional AKA the faithful Textus Receptus do not have the Greek word “ictin”.  This word  means “is” in English] and  its exclusion causes the meaning of its translation, “is here” to change to “has” come.

This mistake is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists and even  heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come”   [in the flesh].

While this is a true statement, taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”. When “has” come is the meaning   the test God has given in His Word to discern whether words being analyzed are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist is made void.

One of the most well documented facts in all human history is that Jesus The Christ [The Anointed Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the essential question  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether this confession affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  in the flesh.

 

Please Compare and consider [Meditate upon] this scripture with other related scriptures.  Precept upon precept, Line upon line…

Self-Authenticating  [The Bible is self-authenticating because it contains inherent divine qualities—Such qualities are unity, majesty, power, and consistency—that reveal its God breathed inspiration and convinces readers of its truth.

This concept, championed in the Reformation, know that the Holy Spirit illuminates the "heavenliness of its matter," the "efficacy of its doctrine," and the "majesty of its style" within the text itself, allowing God's Word to be received directly, the same as seeing God's glory in Christ.

Psalm 12:6-7:   6 The words of the Lord are pure words:
as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Isaiah 40:8: 8 The grass withereth, [withers] the flower fadeth [fades] :but the word of our God shall stand for ever. (KJV).

 

Matthew 5:18: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (KJV).

Matthew 24:35: 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (AKJV).

1 Peter 1:23: 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  (KJV).

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV)  also known as The King James Version, Edition of 1769 (KJV), The Authorized Version (AV) and The Geneva Bible are faithful Translations from the preeminent, [surpassing all others],  Traditional Greek Text which predates the name given to the  Textus Receptus [The Received Text] TR, and is superior to all modern Critical Text translations rendered from inferiorGreek Sources that include: (Westcott & Hort, Nestle & Aland,  and Codices Vaticanus, Sinaiticus and Alexandrus).

[All other English translations of the Bible use  The Critical Text Greek manuscripts. not the Textus Receptus and erroneously render the English words as “Has come” instead of “is come” [IS HERE].

      

 This Translation error is because inferior Greek manuscripts do not include the Greek word  “ictin”  (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Majority Text of the Textus Receptus) and therefore  the failure  to correctly translate “ictin” [Is Here] into English.

 

 The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV and the Geneva Bible stand alone in taking their correct translation from the Traditional Text AKA The Textus Receptus: “is here”.

 

This  error: “has come” is self-evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics  can, and sometimes will,  make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, it is a true and factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Yet, while this is, a true and factual statement, the meaning in scripture has now been erroneously changed. The new and erroneous meaning is that now even if He “has come” in the flesh  the confession that JESUS CHRIST IS HERE IN THE FLESH is impossible for THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST who is the creator of all heresies  to make. Without this confession, don’t  believe anything  that you read or hear.

 

NEITHER does it provide for the test for believers to discern whether a spirit [voice or written words being read or heard] are from God or from the Antichrist.  It is  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it’s essential that the confession that Jesus Christ,  “IS HERE IN THE FLESH” Be made  [be spoken].

Now, as we remember the sound of him saying “Later”, it rings true in a  new and deeper meaning and it brings a joy and comfort to the hearts of those whom he loved so well; those who love him still and will forever more.
