All Bible versions that are NOT  translated from the Textus Receptus [The (traditional) Received Greek Text] include variant  readings that diminish the full  expressions of glory and the most Holy reverence due to the Omnipotent, Almighty GOD.  He preserves and protects its  immutably  in the 1769 Edition of the 1611 King James Version  Bible KJV. This version is known as the Authorized King James  Version  AKJV and the  Authorized Version AV.  ALL GLORY is due and must be given to the Omnipotent and Omniscient  LORD of ALL.

 

The Geneva Bible was also translated from the Greek Textus Receptus including  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from inspired, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD;        Puritan Believers known to be  beyond reproach.

This Bible was first brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

 

The traditional Textus Receptus [Received Greek Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority Greek Manuscripts MT that agree 98% with one another. Other variant readings are translations invented by  either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

The historical  video documentary Bridge to Babylon presents evidence that tracks the explosion of more than 100 new Critical Text editions of English translations  of the Bible. The attempts to change by adding to, or taking away from the 1769 edition of the King James Version KJV of the Holy Bible cannot prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His  inspired  [God Breathed] , inerrant, immutable [incapability of any change] and infallible  Holy Word from any and all heresy, blasphemy, confusion , error, additions to, or subtractions from the WORD of GOD.

It is Latin for Anno Domini,  a  phrase adopted into English usage that means  “Year of [the] Lord”.  The complete  original phrase "anno Domini nostri Jesu Christi" means "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ”.   A.D. together with B.C. Before Christ divides all history into before and after the birth of Jesus the Christ [Messiah].

Can   DAILYSPURGEON  be trusted? Is it trustworthy?

Is it of God?

YES, it can!    Yes, it is!     Here’s why.

 

1 John 4:1-3

Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore I do audibly confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

 

[All translations of the Bible using Greek translations other than the traditional and faithful Textus Receptus do not contain the Greek word “ictin”.  This word  means “is” in English] and  its exclusion causes the meaning of its English equivalent, “is here” to change from “is” come” [is here] to “has” come”.

 

This error is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists and even  heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come”   [in the flesh].

 

While this is a true statement, when taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”. When has come is the meaning   the scriptural test to discern whether the words being analyzed are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist is completely negated.

 

One of the most well documented facts in all history of humanity is that Jesus Christ [The Anointed Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the question of much greater importance,  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether this confession affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  in the flesh.

 

We now Compare and consider [Meditate upon] scripture with other relative scripture:  Precept upon precept, Line upon line… 
Isaiah 28:10-14

“I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here and now,  of the body of Christ]. Because  followers of Jesus Christ are members of the incarnate Body of Christ [The Church] I affirm and avow that Jesus Christ is here

 

[Not “Has come”] in the flesh.

THE  HOLY WORD of GOD is :
 

Immutable, [unchanging and, unable to mutate or be changed], 
Inspired, [God breathed, spoken],

Infallible,[Incapable of failing]  

Inerrant [Without error]

Self-Authenticating  [The Bible is considered to be self-authenticating because proponents who believe it to be so know it contains inherent divine qualities—Such qualities are unity, majesty, power, and internal consistency—that reveal its divine origin, that convinces readers of its truth without relying on external historical proof or church testimony.

This concept, championed by the Reformation, know that the Holy Spirit illuminate:
the "heavenliness of its matter," the "efficacy of its doctrine," and the "majesty of its style" within the text itself, allowing God's Word to be received directly, the same way as seeing God's glory in Christ.]

Providentially Protected and Preserved

Psalm 12:6-7:   6 The words of the Lord are pure words:
as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them [Thy Words] , O Lord, thou shalt preserve them [Thy Words] from this generation for ever. (AKJV).

 

Isaiah 40:8: 8 The grass withereth, [withers] the flower fadeth [fades] :but the word of our God shall stand for ever. (AKJV).

 

Matthew 5:18: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (AKJV).

 

Matthew 24:35: 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (AKJV).

 

1 Peter 1:23: 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  (AKJV).

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV)  also known as The Authorized Version (AV) and The Geneva Bible are faithful English Translations from the preeminent, [surpassing all others] and traditional Greek of the Textus Receptus [Received Text] that self-authenticate and are superior to all Critical Text translations or editions as to their authentic divine inspiration and fidelity from The Almighty andTriune GOD.

(8 min.) The problem behind Bible translations is not English.  The issue is what Greek text was being used.   I believe the true Author is The Holy Spirit. I believe this is the Word of God… We need to understand that The word of GOD in and of itself is power. Power to change your life and through the work of the Holy Spirit can produce the New Birth. We are born again of an incorruptible seed of the Word of God which liveth and abideth forever.

John 1:1-3    1In the beginning was he Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in he beginning with God. 3 all things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

 

1 John 4:1-3  

 (AKJV) The Authorized Version AKJV Translation was faithfully translated by fully consecrated,  and dedicated, preeminent linguists, language scholars who were fully devoted followers of  The Lord Jesus Christ.   The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [Received Text]:

 

Psalm 119:89  ל   (Lamed)  Forever,  O  Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

 

“Thy Word” is The Inspired and Ultimate Stare Decisis [The Latin phrase in Legal jargon that establishes the principle of “Legal Precedence” means to stand by things decided, and with reference to Holy Scripture, to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired] and therefore eternally and immutably decided]

 

4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth [says] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

 

Therefore, I now confess that “Jesus Christ is here in the flesh.”  

 

[All other English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Receptus erroneously render the English translation as “Has come”.

      

 This Translation error is because inferior Greek manuscripts do not include the Greek word  “ictin”  (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Textus Receptus)  and therefore  fail to correctly translate “Is come” [Is Here] into English.

 

 The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV and the Geneva Bible stand alone in giving the correct translation, “is here”.

 

The  error, “has come” is self- evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics  can, and sometimes do,  make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise to us because the birth of Jesus Christ is the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, it is a factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. While this is, on the surface a true statement, when “has come” replaces “is come” its altered meaning does not now provide the test of  discernment as to  whether a spirit [voiced or written words being read or heard] is  either from God or from antichrist.  It is  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it’s essential and of crucial importance, that the confession that Jesus Christ, “is here,  in the flesh.” Be made out-loud.

 

By Reading, comparing and meditating on any certain Scripture together with other relevant Scriptures, God’s Word clarifies and self-authenticates:

PRAYER 3 Part 4 of 5  January 15th   THE LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE OR END,

Furthermore, we ask of Thee, our Father, this day, to perfect Thy work within our hearts. We are saved, but we would be [want to be] saved from sin of every form and degree; from sins that lie within, and we are scarcely aware that they are there. If we have any pride of which we are not conscious, any unbelief of which we are not aware, if there is a clinging to the creature, a form of idolatry which we have not yet perceived, we pray Thee, Lord, to search us as with candles [Your light] till Thou dost spy out [find] the evil and then put it away.

 

We are not satisfied with pardoned sin,

 

“We pray, create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

 

Help us in our daily life, in our families, in our relations as husbands or wives, parents; or children, masters or servants, [bosses or employees] in our business transactions with our fellow men, in our dealings with the Church of God, may we be true, upright, pure; kept from [committing] the great transgression [sin] because we are kept from the minor [ones]. Oh! that we may be such as glorify Christ.

 

Save us, we pray Thee, from the common religion; give us the peculiar [unique] grace of a peculiar [chosen] people. May we abide in Christ, may we live near to God. Let not the frivolities [amusements] of the world have any power over us whatever. May we be too full grown in grace to be bewitched with the toys which are only becoming [atractive] in children.

 

Oh! give us to serve Thee, and especially, and this prayer we have already prayed but we pray it again, :make us useful in the salvation of our fellow man.

O Lord, have we lived so long in the world and yet are our children [sons and daughters] unconverted? May we never rest until they are truly saved.

 

Have we been going up and down in business, and are those round about us as yet unaware of our Christian character? Have we never spoken to them the Word of Life [Jesus, the Savior]?

 

 Lord, arouse us to a deep concern for all with whom we come in contact from day to day. Make us all missionaries at home or in the street, or in our workshop, wherever Providence has cast our lot [taken us], may we there shine as lights in the world.

ANECDOTE 166: January 15th   DYING WITHOUT HOPE.

 

Some years ago, I was awakened about three o’clock in the morning by a sharp ring of the doorbell. I was urged without delay to visit a house not very far from London Bridge. I went; and up two pair of stairs I was shown into a room the occupants of which were a nurse and a dying man. There was nobody else. “ Oh, sir, “ said she, “Mr. So-and-so, about half-an-hour ago, begged me to send for you.” What does he want?” I asked. “He is dying, sir,” she replied.

 

I said, “I see that. What sort of a man was he ?” “He came home last night, sir, from Brighton. He had been out all day. I looked for a Bible, sir, but there is not one in the house; I hope you have got one with you.”

“Oh,” I said, “a Bible would be of no use to him now.

 

If he could understand me, I could tell him the way of salvation in the very words of Holy Scripture.” I spoke to him, but he gave me no answer. I spoke again; still there was no reply. All sense had fled. I stood a few minutes gazing at his face, till I perceived he was dead.

 

His soul had departed. That man in his lifetime had been wont to jeer [tease, scoff at and make fun of] me. In strong language he had often denounced me as a hypocrite. Yet he was no sooner smitten with the darts of death than he sought my presence and my counsel, feeling no doubt in his heart that I was a servant of God, though he did not care to own it with his lips.

 

There I stood, unable to help him. Promptly as I had responded to his call, what could I do, but look at his corpse, and go home again. He had, when too late, sighed for the ministry of reconciliation, sought to enter in, but he was not able.

Poverty is a hard heritage; but those who trust in the Lord are made rich by faith. They know that they are not forgotten of God; and though it may seem that they are overlooked in His providential distribution of good things, they look for a time when all this shall be righted. Lazarus will not always lie among the dogs at the rich man’s gate, but he will have his recompense [reward] in Abraham’s bosom.

Even now the Lord remembers His poor but precious sons.

 

-I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh [thinks] upon [about] me -,

 

said one of old [long ago]; and it is even so. The godly poor have great expectations.

 

They expect the Lord to provide them all things necessary for this life and godliness;

they expect to see all things working for their good;

Prayer: Thank you Lord that the needy shall not always be forgotten and their expectations shall not forever perish. Help me Lord as a needy child to come to you and rest in Your name, Lord Jesus, making me rich by faith in You, Amen.

The Textus Receptus TR [Received Text] is the faithfully rendered Greek text with an overwhelming agreement among the majority of the 5,321 extant New Testament, Greek manuscripts  known as the  MT. [Majority Text].

 

The Old Testament Hebrew and Aramaic manuscripts were meticulously copied by hand [manuscript] by the Masoretic scribes. These are the manuscripts  from which  the Original King James version of the Old Testament was translated onto English.

 

In order for Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Aland to create the Modern Greek to invent support for  the many variant readings brought through highly nuanced readings from Critical Text based translations of which only Fifty-five 55 manuscripts from the 5,321 Majority Text MT were hand-picked to be the foundational text from which the Critical Text was rendered and were also selected from  the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus codices. These fifty-five manuscripts  brought  variant readings and were created, to justify the creation of an alternative Greek text to the Textus Receptus which had been under spurious attack by Westcott & Hort and Nestle & Aland for many years.

The Codices known as Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are inferior because they often are in disagreement with the Textus Receptus and incredibly, disagreement with one another. They give rise to variant readings and include secular doctrinal bias not supported by scripture that was translated from the Majority Text or  the Textus Receptus.  They have been infused by  invented Greek text where an absence of Greek text existed.

 

They invented but did not disclose themselves as the source  of the new Greek translation.  They supplied this new Greek translation to all Committee members with the aim to revise the King James Bible. However, They insisted on a code of silence as to the authorship of the Greek Text from which all the Revisions were to be based. All members of the committee were required to agree to this code.

Modern textual criticism is based on the assumption that older manuscripts are, de-facto, more accurate. Actually, the continuous and unsettled changes from their  variant readings reflect errors, doctrinal ambiguities and biases not supported by the Majority Text or the Textus Receptus

Scripture based on The Greek text of Westcott &  Hort and Nestle & Aland is of a secular or denominational tradition allowing modern textual criticism  to  diminish God’s Sovereignty, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Immutability, Inerrancy and  Infallibility and to diminish Glory from the infinite and everlasting “I AM” that demands ALL GLORY be given to Almighty GOD.!

 

For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in Heaven. Psalm 119:89

 

God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 4:33­­

 

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves all of His inspired [God Breathed] WORD.  HIS God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, everlasting inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful [omnipotent] Word.

MORNING January 15th "DO AS THOU HAST SAID." —2 Samuel 7:25

GOD’S promises were never meant to be thrown aside as waste paper; He intended that they should be used. God’s gold is not miser’s money, but is minted [created] to be traded with.

 

Nothing pleases our Lord better than to see His promises put into circulation; He loves to see His children bring them up to Him and say,

 

“Lord, do as Thou hast [you have] said.”

 

We glorify God when we plead [present] His promises. Do you think that God will be any the poorer for giving you the riches He has promised?  Do you dream that He will be any the less holy for giving holiness to you? Do you imagine He will be any the less pure for washing you from your sins? He has said

 

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith [says] the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

 

Faith lays hold upon the promise of pardon [forgiveness]. It [Faith] does not delay saying,

 

“This is a precious promise, I wonder if it be true?”

 

It [Faith] goes straight to the throne [of God] with it [Faith] and pleads,

 

“Lord, here is the promise, ‘Do as Thou hast said.’ ”

 

Our Lord replies,

 

“Be it unto you even as you desire.”

When a Christian grasps [understands] a promise if he does not take it to God he dishonors Him [God]; but when he hastens to the throne of grace and cries,

 

 “Lord, I have nothing to recommend me but this, ‘Thou hast said it,’ ”

 

then his desire shall be granted. Our heavenly Banker [the Lord Jesus] delights to cash His own notes [checks]. Never let the promise rust [go unused].

 

Draw the word of promise [from God’s Word, the Bible] out of its scabbard, and use it with holy violence [Godly empowerment].

 

Think not [Don’t think] that God will be troubled by your reminding Him persistently of His promises. He loves to hear the loud outcries of needy souls. It is His delight to bestow favors.

 

He is more ready to hear than you are to ask.

The sun is not weary of shining, nor the fountain [water] of flowing. It is God’s nature to keep His promises; therefore go at once to the throne with the plea [promise]

 

“Do as thou hast [have] said.”

 

[Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I stand on this and all other of Your blessed promises, asking and expecting You to do what you said, Amen.] ________________________________________

 

EVENING January 15th "BUT I GIVE MYSELF UNTO PRAYER.” — Psalm 109:4

LYING tongues were busy against the reputation of David, but he did not defend himself; he moved the case into a higher court and pleaded [made his case] before the great King [the Lord] Himself.

 

Prayer is the safest method of replying to words of hatred. The Psalmist [David] prayed in no coldhearted manner. He gave himself to the exercise, throwing his whole soul and heart into it and straining every sinew and muscle, as Jacob did when wrestling with the angel [vowing to hold tight until the blessing was received from God].

 

Only in this way will any of us have success at the throne of grace. As a shadow has no power because there is no substance in it, even so a supplication [prayer] in which a man's proper self is not thoroughly present in agonizing earnestness and vehement [hotly passionate] desire

 

[half-hearted prayer] is utterly [totally] ineffective, for it lacks that [is missing the very thing] which would give it force [power]. [Wholeheartedness!]

 

"Fervent [Focused, heart-felt] prayer," says an old divine [senior saint], "like a cannon planted [set-up and pointed] at the gates of heaven, makes them fly open."

 

The common fault with most of us is our readiness to yield to distractions. Our thoughts go roving hither and thither [here and there] and we [therefore] make little progress towards our desired end [specific request through prayer].

Like quicksilver [mercury] our mind will not hold together, but rolls off this way and that. How great an evil this is! It injures us, and what is worse, it insults our God.

What would we think of a petitioner, if, while having an audience with a prince, he were playing with a feather or catching a fly? [present-day: texting]

Continuance and perseverance [sticking with it and never giving up] are intended in the expression of our text. David did not cry once and then relapse into silence; his holy clamor [noise] was continued until it brought down the blessing. Prayer must not be our chance work [part-time endeavor], but our daily [full-time] business—our habit and vocation.

As artists give themselves to their models, and poets to their classical pursuits, so must we addict our-selves to prayer. We must be immersed in prayer as in our element, and so pray without ceasing.

Lord, teach us so to pray that we may be more and more prevalent in supplication [so we may prevail more in prayer

 

A SINNER’S PRAYER: January 15th   … FOR WHOSOEVER:

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am lost. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity in Hell. My nature and behavior has been sinful from birth. Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m sorry for each and every sin I have ever done and look to You to forgive them all.

I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.

I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, as God’s sacrifice for my sin.

Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You to be my Savior and Lord.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I want to follow You from now on.

You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross.

Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me still

Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is alive and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave.

Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and Holy Spirit for Your comfort and guidance in all things.

With all my heart, thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. In your name, I pray, Amen.

        John Bunyan did not write nor hold to a world view of any kind. His inspired work, The Pilgrim’s Progress, known as the world’s most  allegory,  does not subscribe to any world view at all  but proclaims God’s view on everything revealed and forever settled in Heaven Psalm 119:89 in The Holy Bible. 

        Bunyan merely, yet ardently believed God’s Word;  That it is God-breathed [inspired by God], Self-authenticating, Providentially-protected and propagated  immutable [unchanged and unchangeable] , inerrant [without error] , infallible [incapable of being mistaken or of being wrong], indestructible  and eternal written Word from GOD Himself for ever settled in Heaven.
