DEVOTION for October 9th 2025
_________________________________________________
Note: The New King James Version NKJV and all versions NOT translated from the Textus Receptus [Received Text] are inferior to the translation of the 1769 [1611] known as the Authorized Version AV and the King James Version, KJV. The Geneva Bible is also translated from the Greek Textus Receptus.
Only the Textus Receptus [Received Text] is sustained by the more than 5,321 Majority Greek Text MT Manuscripts and are in agreement with one another 99% . ALL OTHER readings have as their primary Greek source either Westcott and Hort’s or Nestle and Aland’s, Greek Texts fabricated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts and lack the trustworthiness produced in the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV and the Geneva Bibles; the only two translated from the reliable, inspired and divinely protected Textus Receptus.

The Bridge to Babylon video presents historical evidence that accounts for the explosion of over 100 different English version translations of the Bible. The continuing attempts to replace, add or take away from the 1769 King James Version of the Holy Bible can not prevail because GOD Himself preserves and protects His inspired Holy Words
from all heresy, blasphemy, confusion , error additions, subtractions and changes.

Is the website DAILYSPURGEON trustworthy?
Is it of God?
1 John 4:1-3
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
I hereby confess, out-loud, that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh.
[All translations of the Bible that use a Greek text other than the traditional and reliable Textus Receptus ignore the word “ictin” (the Greek word that means “is” in English). This omission causes “is here” to change its meaning from “is come” [is here] to “has come”.
This error is self-evident as non-believers, false prophets and even heretics can, and frequently do, declare that He “has come” [in the flesh.
While this is a true statement when taken at face value, the meaning “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”; the valid test to discern between the Spirit of God and the spirit of antichrist.
The most well documented fact in all of recorded human history is that Jesus Christ [Messiah] “has come” in the flesh. The essential question, however, is not whether the spirit [words or person] being tested confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether Jesus Christ, “is here”, [present tense] (NOW) from God, in the flesh.
Ephesians 5:30-32
30 for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Compare, here, scripture with scripture: “I speak concerning Christ and the church.” [the fleshly embodiment, here, of the body of Christ].

The Lord Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, 1 John 4:2-4
was born of a virgin A.D. 2025 years ago. (PRESENT YEAR)
He’s alive today, has existed from the beginning as God’s eternal Word,
and He’s returning soon for his bride, the Church.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16
Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth:
for I am God and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22
* BCE/CE vs. BC/AD What’s the difference?
Learn the difference; defend the Truth. Won’t you?
A.D. does NOT mean “After Death” as many mistakenly believe. It is Latin for Anno Domini, a phrase adopted into English usage that means “Year of [the/our] Lord”. The complete original phrase "anno Domini nostri Jesu Christi" means "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ”. A.D. is used with B.C. Before Christ to divide all known history before and after the birth of Jesus Christ. ...More

Is it Sickness or Sin? Isaiah 57:18 with Dr. Peter Masters
According to the Bible morally evil behavior is both. People sin knowingly and wilfully, and this turns into a disease, but one for which they remain responsible, because God's forgiveness and re-making is freely available. Here are the facts about conversion to the Lord.

PRAYER 11, Part 9 of 10 October 9th UNDER THE BLOOD
Ah! Lord, thou sayest: [You say] “Today, if ye [y’all] will hear his [Jesus’] voice,”
And we take up [repeat] the echo.
Save men to-day, even today. Bring them thy spirit in power that they may be willing to rest in Christ.
Lord, hear, forgive, accept and bless, for Jesu’s sake. Amen.
[In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ] Amen.
(Attachment: PRAYER 11.doc)________________________________________ANECDOTE 69: October 9th Christ’s Joy in Soul-Saving.
Some of you have been salmon fishing in the Scotch rivers [in Scotland]; you have fished on and on until you have hooked a huge fish, and by the time you have landed him, on taking out your watch, you discover that it is long past your dinner hour, and you are surprised that you had not noticed that you were almost faint [famished]. Your excitement kept you going: only when it was over did you begin to hunger [feel hungry]. Thus, the Master was so taken up with soul-saving that he had meat to eat that others knew not of. [Didn’t know about.]________________________________________FAITH’S CHECKBOOK October 9th WHAT SANCTIFIES OUR OFFERINGS? Spurgeon
-And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the Lord- Leviticus 4:7
Y pondrá el sacerdote de la sangre sobre los cuernos del altar del perfume aromatico-
Levitico 4:7
The altar of incense is the place where saints present their prayers and praises; and it is delightful to think of it as sprinkled with the blood of the great sacrifice. This it is which makes all our worship acceptable with Jehovah: He sees the blood of His own Son, and therefore accepts our homage
[The Latin root of homage is homo-, meaning "man." In medieval times, a king's male subject could officially become the “king's man" (subject) by publicly announcing allegiance to the monarch in a formal ceremony.
In that ritual, known as homage, the subject knelt and placed his hands between those of his lord, symbolically surrendering himself and putting himself at the lord's disposal and under his jurisdiction. A bond was thus forged between the two; the vassal's part was to revere and serve his lord, and the lord's role was to protect the vassal and his family. Over time, homage was extended from the ceremony to the acts of duty and respect done for the lord, and eventually to any respectful act or tribute.]
It is well for us to fix our eyes upon [look intently at] the blood of the one offering for sin. Sin mingles even with our holy things, and our best repentance, faith, prayer, and thanksgiving could not be received of God were it not [if it weren’t] for the merit of the atoning sacrifice [of Jesus Christ]. Many sneer [scoff] at -the blood-; but to us it is the foundation of comfort and hope. That which is on the horns of the altar is meant to be prominently before our eyes when we draw near to God.
The blood gives strength to prayer, and hence [because of that] it is on the altar’s horns. It is -before [right in front of] the Lord,- and therefore it ought to be before us. It is on the altar before we bring the incense; it is there to sanctify our offerings and gifts.
Come, let us pray with confidence, since the Victim [Jesus Christ] is offered, the merit has been pleaded, the blood is within the veil [inside the Holy of Holies], and the prayers of believers must [therefore] be sweet unto the Lord.
Prayer: Thank You, precious Lord Jesus that Your blood is received mixed with sweet smelling perfume on the alter. The acceptability of even sweet perfume requires the merit of Jesus’s blood. I pray that you will save me and accept my offering to be Your child right now as [because] I come in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the authority of His shed blood, Amen.

… and pray for the saving of many souls and the making of many disciples.
The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
Pray also that believers will be taught by the Holy Spirit to rightly divide and proclaim God’s eternal Word providentially protected and preserved by God, Himself.

vis. The Textus Receptus TR [Received Text] was faithfully taken from the overwhelming majority of extant texts of the New Testament Greek texts and The Masoretic Hebrew text MT that was meticulously copied by hand [manuscript] of the Old Testament Hebrew absent the defective Sinaiticus and Vaticanus codices. Codices that often are found to be in disagreement with one another. Yet, they are set forth in modern textual criticism as a rationale for the creation of the explosion new editions based on the false assumption that older manuscripts are de facto better. Actually the unsettled changes, reflect doctrinal ambiguities that are used to support secular or denominational biases.
For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in Heaven. Psalm 119:89

MORNING October 9th
"Able to keep you from falling. " Jude 24
—Poderoso para guardaros sin caída— Judas 24
IN some sense the path to heaven is very safe, but in other respects there is no road so dangerous. It is beset with difficulties. One false step and down we go. What a slippery path is that which some of us have to tread! How many times have we to exclaim with the Psalmist, "My feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh [almost] slipped." If we were strong, sure-footed mountaineers, this would not matter so much; but in ourselves, how weak we are! In the best roads we soon falter [mis-step], in the smoothest paths we quickly stumble. These feeble knees of ours can scarcely support our tottering weight. A straw may throw us, and a pebble can wound us; we are mere children tremblingly taking our first steps in the walk of faith.
Our heavenly Father holds us by the arms or we should soon be down [fall]. Oh, if we are kept from falling, how must we bless the patient power which watches over us day by day! Think, how prone we are to sin, how apt to choose danger, how strong our tendency to cast ourselves down [become depressed] , and these reflections will make us sing more sweetly than we have ever done, "Glory be to Him, who is able to keep us from falling."
We have many foes [enemies] who try to push us down. The road is rough and we are weak, but in addition to this, enemies lurk in ambush, who rush out when we least expect them, and labor [work] to trip us up, or hurl us down the nearest precipice [cliff]. Only an Almighty arm can preserve us from these unseen foes [enemies], who are seeking to destroy us.
Such an arm is engaged [active] for our *defense. He is faithful that promised, and He is able to keep us from falling, so that with a deep sense of our utter weakness, we may cherish a firm belief in our perfect safety, and say, with joyful confidence,
Against me earth and hell combine,
But on my side is power divine;
Jesus is all, and He is mine!

EVENING October 9th
“But he answered her not a word”─ Matthew 15:23
─ Pero Jesús no le respondió [ní una] palabra─ Mateo 15:23
Genuine seekers who as yet have not obtained the blessing, may take comfort from the story before us [this]. The *Savior did not at once bestow the blessing, even though the woman had great faith in him. He intended to give it, but he waited awhile. “He answered her not a word.”
Were not her prayers good? Never better in the world.
Was not her case needy? Sorrowfully needy.
Did she not feel her need sufficiently? She felt it overwhelmingly.
Was she not earnest enough? She was intensely so.
Had she no faith? She had such a high degree of it that even Jesus wondered, and said,
“O woman, great is thy faith.”
See then, although it is true that faith brings peace, yet it does not always bring it instantaneously.
There may be certain reasons calling for the trial of faith, rather than the reward of faith. Genuine faith may be in the soul like a hidden seed, but as yet it may not have budded and blossomed into joy and peace. A painful silence from the *Savior is the grievous trial of many a seeking soul, but heavier still is the affliction of a harsh cutting reply such as this,
“It is not meet [a perfect match] to take the children’s bread, and to cast [throw] it to [the] dogs.”
Many, in waiting upon the Lord find immediate delight, but this is not the case with all. Some, like the jailer, are in a moment turned from darkness to light, but others are plants of slower growth. A deeper sense of sin may be given to you instead of a sense of pardon, and in such a case you will have need of patience to bear the heavy blow.
Ah! poor heart, though Christ beat and bruise thee, or even slay thee, trust him; though he should give thee an angry word, believe in the love of his heart.
Do not, I beseech, [implore] thee give up seeking or trusting my Master, because thou hast not yet obtained the conscious joy which thou longest for.
Cast thyself on him, and perseveringly [keep on keeping on] depend, even where thou canst not [you can’t] rejoicingly hope.
* U.S.A. spelling substituted.

A SINNER’S PRAYER
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus.
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and it’s hopeless for me to save myself. Without you and your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell.
I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion) and justifying my own behavior as "good" or "OK" can never be enough to save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You right now. Lord Jesus. Will You please save me. I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You have said and it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to you. Thank You.
I give myself completely to You, Lord Jesus. I’m sorry for every sin I’ve done and I now turn away from each one and look to You to forgive me, save me and deliver me from future evil. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross paying the punishment that I deserve. I’m a sinner by nature and by my actions. But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed for me at the cross.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was bor n and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father other than by You.
Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly. But, because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus. You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who, gave up His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world.
Thank You, righteous Father of love that you allowed Jesus to suffer and die raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
Thank you for saving me. I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart. Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth., Amen.”
Thank You Holy Spirit of Truth, Comforter, Paraclete [one who comes along side] for the new life in Jesus and victory that comes when I recon myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for the execution of this vow.
Romans 6:11
Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always bear witness of and exalt the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-11
With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me. Abide in me Lord Jesus in Your name I pray, Amen.

No servant of God has left a greater legacy of presenting the Gospel to the world in the English language. (Now translated into many other languages) Spurgeon is widely read with great benefit. He is a beloved pastor and founder of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, England, still thriving TODAY. You’re invited to Live-stream worship services from London with Dr. Peter Masters, current pastor since 1960.
Prayer: Dear Lord, empower your ministry to win many souls, and serve those in need, especially those in the household of faith, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not solicit praise of Charles H. Spurgeon or his writing or preaching. He didn’t need or want it then and wouldn’t desire it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach HIM only and him crucified.
Precaution: These Messages and prayers will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus nor gathering for corporate worship. Neither do they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word.
The Authorized King James version (AKJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV), is the preferred English Bible because it is rendered [translated into English] accurately and faithfully from the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] and the Hebrew Masoretic Text that bring the greatest glory to God and thereby avoids doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, editorial changes or ambiguous readings found in other translations. It is distinguished further by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No other [person or publisher] may print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.
Printed Prayer: Printed prayers must not be read or offered as a substitute for personal, fervent, effectual, heart-felt, prayer. They are offered, rather, to warm the hearts of those who will presently seek a season of fervent, authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Authentic revelations from God during prayer are always consistent with His revealed Word, the Bible.
Preaching Preparation: When preparing to preach from a specific, scriptural text, please enter the text reference if you would like us to send you a Spurgeon Sermon from the same text.
My Prayer: Dear Father, is that You would touch, lift up, encourage and teach all who faithfully minister your Word. Bless all who minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May Your blessing and holy anointing fall fresh upon each dear reader and abide with each one who rightly divides and faithfully proclaims Your Word [The Bible]. Please save many souls; and may all be glory be yours alone. I pray this in the name of our Redeemer, The Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

A SINNER’S PRAYER: … FOR WHOSOEVER:
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am hopeless. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity condemned in Hell. My nature has been self centeredness from birth. Please forgive me.
I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m sorry for each and every sin I have done and look to You to forgive me of them all.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, and because of my sin.
Yet You say, “It shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21.
Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust that You, will be my Lord and Savior from now on.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I ask You to keep in me always the desire to follow You.
You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross. Even the sins of the whole world.
Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me even before I was born and that You still love me now. I love You too.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave. And, there is therefore now no condemnation in Christ Jesus.
Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and Holy Spirit for comfort and guidance revealing all truth,
With all my heart, thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. In your name, I pray, Amen.

This Documentary Video follows the trials and triumphs of Charles Spurgeon with a keen historical accuracy always pointing to Jesus Christ to proclaim,
“Behold the Lamb of God which taketh [takes] away the sin of the world.”
It’s an intimate account of one of the greatest preachers in the history of the church. Thank You LORD for dailyspurgeon.com a website that proclaims Jesus as the the Christ [Messiah and Anointed King] to all the world .
This website ministry has grown from a simple beginning of sending e-mails of the daily promises from Charles Spurgeon’s Faith’s Checkbook to John Michael’s son, Jon Edward Riley (1971- 2021). When Jon Edward shared them with Others they asked to be added to the mailing list. This mailing list continues to be used to distribute dailyspurgeon.com and we trust it will continue to encourage fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ to greater vigor in their personal devotion of Love, obedience and oneness with Jesus Christ through the empowerment and obedience of GOD’S WORD by the Holy Ghost.
These Multiple Devotional publications by Charles Spurgeon are now brought together day by day at

May God be pleased to sustain this ministry begun with a beloved son, Jon Edward Riley (1971-2021) honored here as one to whom honor is due.

A SINNER’S PRAYER:
A person (YOU) may come to Jesus by believing and (whole heartedly) praying and confessing The Lord Jesus publicly like this:
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless without You. I will never be able to save myself by my own merits. Without you and your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell.
I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion) and justifying my own behavior as "good" or "OK" will never save me.
I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.
I come to You right now. Lord Jesus. Please save me. I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know You always keep your word. Please save me. You say and it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done) and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s presence. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve. (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). But now I'm washed clean by Your blood that was shed [poured out] for me at Calvary [at the cross].
Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me now and will always love me and will never reject or turn your back on me.
Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead.
I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart. Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth., Amen.”
Thank You, Holy Spirit of Truth, my Comforter, my Paraclete [my true best-friend who is by my side and always has myback] for the new life in Jesus and the victory that comes because I have reconed myself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord trusting You, Holy Spirit for Your empowerment to see this promise fulfilled. Romans 6:11
Thank you that you, Holy Spirit, always exalt [lift up] the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-11With all my heart, I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me.
I ask now that You live Your life through me in Your name, Lord Jesus I pray, Amen.
Please allow us to celebrate with you and with the angels in heaven at the news of your new birth. Please e-mail or write to: The John Mark Publishing Company, PO BOX 21 San Juan Capistrano, CA 92693, U.S.A. michaelriley1008@gmail.com

"Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me [Spurgeon's comment] of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [melody] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus; it is our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

SACRED LITERATURE:
THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS by John Bunyan is the most famous Allegory, world-wide and the Most widely Published Book of all time and was printed in over 200 Languages. It has NEVER, since 1698, been out-of-print.
Only The King James Bible has been more widely published than The Pilgrim’s Progress.
ONLINE PRINT LIBRARY: (No Enrollment Fee or Registration required)
BUNYAN’S ORIGINAL of 1678: The Pilgrim’s Progress Published in 1853 by Logos
REVISED VERSION: The Pilgrim’s Progrefs [sic] 1999 by Barry E. Horner
OLD ENGLISH PRINT: The Pilgrim’s Progress Part II AKA Christiana
(Christian’s wife, Christiana and children; their dangerous journey, and safe arrival at the desired country.)
Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most famous Allegory, It and the Bible were commonly the only books to be found in the cabin of early American Settlers and were loved and read more than any book, second only to the Holy Bible. It’s also considered, by some, as being the world’s first English novel. It’s likely the most published book other than the Bible of all time. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the Bunyan’s death. Hence, the world’s most famous Allegory.
Comment on Pilgrim’s Progress by Charles H. Spurgeon from the Spurgeon Sermon
“Christ in You”.
Spurgeon: Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me of Mr. Bunyan’s picture of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [happy melodies] , for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.
Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, Oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh, for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus, The Messiah; our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.
Spurgeon Sermon: Christ in You, Preached May 13, 1883 Scripture: Colossians 1:27 From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Volume 29 (cit. II. THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, § 5)
You may choose to read, listen or share Pilgrim’s Progress with your little ones as a bed time story. It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims of all ages and will create precious and enduring memories in little ears.
Spurgeon read it for the first time as a precocious five year old reader and would returned to read it over 100 times during the course of his remarkable ministry as a Baptist pastor who is known as The Prince of Preachers .

DEVOTION for October 9th *A.D. 2024
Written and calendared by Charles Haddon Spurgeon 1834-1892
*A.D. Does NOT mean after death as is commonly believed. It is a Latin abbreviation
for anno Domani (It means “Year of our Lord” in English)
BC/AD versus BCE/CE What’s the difference?
Defend the Truth. Won’t you?
The Lord Jesus, who is God in human flesh, was born of a virgin 2024 years ago,
He lives today and will live forevermore and He’s coming soon,
PRAYER 11, Part 9 of 10: UNDER THE BLOOD
ANECDOTE 69: Christ’s Joy in Soul-Saving.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK: October 9 WHAT SANCTIFIES OUR OFFERINGS?
-And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the Lord- Leviticus 4:7
MORNING: "Able to keep you from falling. "— Jude 24
EVENING: “But he answered her not a word”─ Matthew 15:23
A SINNER’S PRAYER
PRAYER 11, Part 9 of 10
UNDER THE BLOOD

ANECDOTE 69: Christ’s Joy in Soul-Saving.
FAITH’S CHECKBOOK OCTOBER 9 WHAT SANCTIFIES OUR OFFERINGS?

Pray also that believers will be taught by the Holy Spirit to rightly divide and proclaim God’s eternal Word providentially protected and preserved by God, Himself.
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [supernaturally fathered] Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but may be having eternal life. John 3:16

MORNING October 9
He is faithful that promised, and He is able to keep us from falling, so that with a deep sense of our utter weakness, we may cherish a firm belief in our perfect safety, and say, with joyful confidence,
Against me earth and hell combine,
But on my side is power divine;
Jesus is all, and He is mine!
* U.S.A. spelling substituted.
EVENING October 9
* U.S.A. spelling substituted.
A SINNER’S PRAYER
Whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21
Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this. Won’t you?
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without you and your blood that was shed for me and Your death on the cross I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.
Thank you Lord Jesus that You love me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.
Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner. But, because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus. You took my place on the cross and provided the way for me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would atone for my sins.
Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free.
You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You in heaven.
Thank you, Father, for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Romans 6:11
Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you always give witness to and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 16:8-11
With all my heart, thank you Lord for saving me.
Live Your life in me, Lord Jesus, in Your name I pray, Amen.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our solemn aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus in everything. This relies completely upon God to achieve His purpose for us through His means. We purpose, with God’s empowerment and help, to save the lost, comfort, strengthen and encourage believers, and rightly divide God’s Word to proclaim the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to every creature.
The Holy Bible is God’s eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable revealed and divinely preserved Word. It is His supernatural, complete scripture of all revealed truth. He brings guidance through it to us personally and to each local body of Christian believers. With God’s empowerment, we will read, study, meditate-on, trust-in and obey God’s Holy Bible and encourage others to do the same. We hold it to be the supreme authority and the preeminent and divinely established Stare Decisis [Latin: to stand by that which is decided, the legal principle of precedence, literally "to stand by decided matters"] in all things.
Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. And, to serve all, in love, especially those in the household of faith. This purpose compels us to follow, and rightly present, God’s Holy Word, the Bible as God’s divinely preserved truth; the foundation of this ministry.
Tabernacle History:
The inspired preaching, teaching, soul winning and writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon were solely based, empowered and inspired by God’s Holy Word the Bible. His written sermons and devotional content continue to benefit today’s readers with authentic Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. His ministry continues to flourish from the original (Spurgeon’s) Metropolitan Tabernacle, a church fellowship began in 1650 with the present building constructed by members of the congregation in 1861 and rebuilt after the second world war..
Spurgeon's written materials are for the edification of the church body as well as a great benefit, blessing and challenge to all readers. Our desire is that the written Word of God will become the Living Word in each and every reader. To this end, a calendar is indexed (top, right) on the Home page of DailySpurgeon.com for daily study, meditation and prayer. An unabridged and strictly maintained fidelity to Spurgeon’s original calendar and unabridged text is carefully guarded.

God has preserved His Word in The Masoretic Hebrew of the Old Testament and the GreekTextus Receptus of the New Testament:
In contrast, the Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not translated from the over 5,312 Majority Text Greek manuscripts, that became the Textus Receptus [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.
Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus.
Psalm 119:89-90
89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:
thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]
God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

Our Prayer: Dear Lord, empower your ministry to win many souls, and serve those in need, especially those in the household of faith, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not solicit praise of Charles H. Spurgeon or his writing or preaching. He didn’t need or want it then and wouldn’t desire it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach Christ Jesus only and him crucified.
Precaution: These Messages and prayers will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus or for gathering in in-person worship. Neither will they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word imparted by the Holy Spirit.
The Authorized King James Version (AKJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV), is the authentic English Bible because it is rendered [translated into English] accurately and faithfully from the established majority of the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (The Jewish Tanakh) These manuscripts are providentially protected of God, and always give a greater glory to God when compared to variant readings. The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.
The Authorized King James version is unique also in that the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, The Crown’s Authorized Printer.
Preaching Preparation: When preparing to preach, please send us the text reference that has been chosen if you would like us to send the Spurgeon Sermon addressing the same text.
My Prayer is that You would touch, lift up, encourage and teach all who faithfully minister your Word.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Our aim, with God’s help, is to be Christlike in all that we think, do and say. We desire to fulfill the Great Commission by taking the GOOD NEWS of Salvation by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ [The Messiah] to every creature, and to make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
Published Titles written by Spurgeon are included each day in DailySpurgeon.com
Devotions are:
· C.H. Spurgeon Prayers
· Spurgeon’s Illustrative Anecdotes
· Faith’s Checkbook
· Morning & Evening
These titles are from the inspired body of work created from the preaching and writing of Charles Haddon Spurgeon 1834-1892. He created an unexcelled legacy of gospel preaching and exposition and is known as the “Prince of Preachers”. Spurgeon has been and is today widely read with great benefit from the 1800’s to this present time. He is the beloved founder of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, England (Thriving TODAY through the faithful preaching of the Gospel and the Sacred Worship of Jesus the Christ [Messiah].)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, please be blessed by the winning of many souls, and give us love and compassion toward all who are in need, especially those in the household of faith. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His sake, Amen.
Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not praise or exalt Charles H. Spurgeon beyond the honor due him. He didn’t need or want it when he was here on earth and has no need for it now, in Heaven. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach HIM and Him crucified.
Precaution: These Devotional Messages and prayers alone can not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus. Neither do they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word. (The King James version (KJV), also known also as the Authorized Version (AKJV), is the preferred English Bible because its accuracy and fidelity to the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] and the Hebrew Masoretic Text) avoid doctrinal and editorial weakness found in many contemporary editions.
Written Prayers by Spurgeon must not be offered as a substitute for personal, intimate fervent, heart-felt, prayer. They are rather intended to warm the hearts of those who are seeking a season of authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible English Version (KJV) because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh). These manuscripts are providentially protected, and give greater glory to God when compared to the variant readings of all post KJV translations. Modern Critical Texts are based on only 55 hand picked Greek manuscripts fabricated from either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. Both of these Greek textual sources make the assumption that OLDER IS BETTER. Of course, this assumption is not valid in any place the older manuscripts err from the Textus Receptus..
The established majority manuscripts and the Textus Receptus avoid doctrinal error, and inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings which taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.
Copyright: The King James Version is also distinguished by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No one other than the Crown’s printer, is allowed print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.
In the United States there is no Copyright protection to restrict the free printing of the KJV. It is the only Bible version that may be printed freely as Public Domain. Any new publication that changes 10% or more of any existing publication may procure a lucrative Copyright protection to restrict unauthorized printing of the new publication. Therefore, the NKJV, NIV and many other modern translations. Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is faithfully translated from the well-established Greek Textus Receptus as the Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek Source.

The inspired, god breathed, immortal words, were uttered, word-by-word, to the holy prophets and apostles who were chosen of God and moved by the holy ghost. In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:
* Letters from close relatives are quoted in the Inside Story above
The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,
thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort or Nestle & Aland.is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on defective text. Those who honor the Word of God must not promote any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, inerrant unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it must be to Him if His people now chose versions that are based on the defective and inferior Greek manuscript invented by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.
Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson for us all:
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled” (Lev 10:1–6).
