THE PEACE OF GOD.

May there be multitudes come to Christ from among the poorest of the poor, and let the wealthy be led away from their sin, and brought to Jesus’s feet. Be gracious to the Sovereign and Royal Family, and to all that are in authority over us. May peace and order be maintained, and let not the peace of the world be broken.

ANECDOTE 105: Sent of God.

Strengthen your soul upon the persuasion that God has sent you, and then go forward. If God has sent you, who can stand against you? A Queen’s messenger claims that we clear the road for him. [as he is representing the Queen] An officer who bears the Queen’s authority is authorized to lay all persons under orders to speed [expedite] him. [He who rides on royal business has precedence over all others.

Get, [Start] to feel Christian friend, that Jesus has sent you, and herein will lie food for your courage. Know that you have a mission, and go at it; and let it be unsafe for anyone to stand in your way. Let opposers know that somebody will have to clear out; for if God sent you, in that sending there is a force and an energy which nothing can safely resist. Do not make a noise. Forbear [avoid] all blustering; [bragging or bullying] but quietly set yourself to work. If God has sent you, you will be like the greater Sent One [the Lord Jesus], of whom we read,

 

“ He shall not strive, nor cry, nor cause his voice to be heard in the streets,”

Paul’s God is our God, and will supply all our need. Paul felt sure of this in reference to the Philippians, and we feel sure of it as to ourselves. God will do it, for it is like Him: He loves us, He delights to bless us, and it will glorify Him to do so. His pity, His power, His love, His faithfulness, all work together [so] that we be not famished [weak from hunger]. What a [comparative] measure doth [does] the Lord go by:

 

-According to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.-

 

The riches of His grace are large, but what shall we say of the riches of His glory? His -riches of glory by Christ Jesus,- who shall form an estimate of this [infinite magnitude] ? According to this immeasurable measure will God fill up the immense abyss [chasm] of our necessities. He makes the Lord Jesus the receptacle and the channel of His fullness, and then He imparts [gives] to us His wealth of love in its highest form. Hallelujah!

 

The writer [Apostle Paul] knows what it is to be tried in the work of the Lord.

 

Fidelity [faithfulness] has been recompensed [rewarded] with anger, and liberal [generous] givers have stopped their subscriptions [ministry pledges of support]; but he whom they sought to oppress has not been one penny the poorer, nay, rather he has been the richer; for this promise has been true,

-My God shall supply all our need.-

 

God’s supplies are surer than any bank.

 

Prayer: Thank You Heavenly Father that You will supply all our [believers] need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Help us to trust You in this and to magnify Your name each day. I ask this in the name of Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen

      vis. The Textus Receptus TR [Received Text] was faithfully rendered from the overwhelming majority of extant Greek texts of the New Testament and The Masoretic Hebrew text MT. Text that was meticulously copied by hand [manuscript] of the Old Testament Hebrew. The inferior and erroneous Sinaiticus and Vaticanus codices notwithstanding; are often in disagreement with one another.

 

Never-the-less, these compromised codices are set forth as modern textual criticism to fuel the explosion of the plethora of new translations and  new editions.  Modern textual criticism is based on the false assumption that older manuscripts are, defacto, better. Actually, the unsettled debates, reflect doctrinal ambiguities or are used to bolster  unsupported secular doctrine or denominational biases that allow blasphemous  translations to spring up from faulty  Greek texts.  From these texts they would, were it possible, diminish God’s Sovereignty, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Immutability, Inerrancy and Infallibility and rob Glory from the  infinite and everlasting “I AM” that is deserving of ALL GLORY.

MORNING November 15

"The Lord's portion is His people. "—Deuteronomy 32:9

HOW are they His [people] ?

By His own sovereign choice.

He chose them, and set [placed] His love on them. This, He did, altogether apart from any goodness in them at the time, or any goodness which He foresaw in them [in the future]. He had mercy on whom He would have mercy, and ordained [ordered by sovereign authority] a chosen company unto eternal life; thus, therefore, they [we] are His by His unconstrained election.

 

They [we] are not only His by choice, but by purchase. He has bought and paid for them to the utmost farthing [last penny, paid in full], hence there can be no dispute about His title. The Lord's portion has been fully redeemed [paid in full], not with corruptible things, as with silver and gold, but with the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

There is no mortgage on His estate; no [law] suits can be raised by opposing claimants; the price was paid in open court, and the Church is the Lord's freehold [fee-simple, unrestricted entitlement] forever. See the blood-mark on all the chosen, invisible to human eye but known to Christ, for "the Lord knoweth [knows] them that are His."

 

He forgets none of those whom He has redeemed from among men; He counts the sheep for whom He laid down His life and remembers well the Church for which He gave Himself.

They are also His by conquest. What a battle He had in us before we would be won! How long He laid siege [blocked the supply lines] to our heart! How often He sent us terms of capitulation [surrender], but we barred our gates, and fenced our walls against Him.

Do we not remember that glorious hour when He carried our hearts by storm, when He placed His cross against the wall and scaled [climbed up and over] our ramparts [objections], planting on our strongholds the blood-red flag of His omnipotent [all powerful]  mercy?

 

Yes, we are, indeed, the conquered captives of His omnipotent [all-powerful] love. Thus chosen, purchased, and subdued, the rights of our divine possessor are inalienable [inseparable from us]: we rejoice that we never can be our own [again]; and we desire, day by day, to do His will, and to show forth His glory.

EVENING November 15

"Strengthen, 0 God, that which thou hast wrought for [in] us."— Psalm 68:28

IT is our wisdom, as well as our necessity, to beseech [plead with] God continually to strengthen that which He has wrought [created] in us. It is because of their neglect in this, that many Christians may blame themselves for those trials and afflictions of spirit which arise from unbelief.

It is true that Satan seeks to flood the fair garden of the heart and make it a scene of desolation, but it is also true that many Christians leave open the sluice-gates [water-gates] themselves and let in the dreadful deluge [flooding] through carelessness and lack of prayer to their strong Helper.

We often forget that the Author of our faith must be the Preserver of it also.

The lamp which was burning in the temple was never allowed to go out, but it had to be daily replenished with fresh oil; in like manner, our faith can only live by being sustained with the oil of grace, and we can only obtain this from God Himself.

 

We prove to be [like the] foolish virgins if we do not secure the needed sustenance for our lamps. He who built the world upholds it, or it would fall in one tremendous crash; He who made us Christians must maintain us by His Spirit, or our ruin will be speedy and final.

Let us, then, evening by evening, go to our Lord for the grace and strength we need. We have a strong argument to plead, for it is His own work of grace which we ask Him to strengthen

—"that which Thou hast wrought for us."

Think you [Do you think] He will fail to protect and sustain that? Only let your faith take hold of His strength, and all the powers of darkness led on by the master fiend of hell, cannot cast a cloud or shadow over your joy and peace. Why faint [be weak] when you may be strong? Why suffer defeat when you may conquer? Take your wavering faith and drooping graces to Him who can revive and replenish them, and earnestly pray,

 

"Strengthen, 0 God, that which thou hast wrought [made] for us."

                 A  SINNER’S  PRAYER

Whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

 Pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus, like this. Won’t you? 

“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I’m lost and hopeless to save myself. Without your death on the cross  I would spend eternity in Hell’s fire.

Thank you Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You have always loved me and will never reject or turn your back on me. I know You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one can come to the Father but by You.  

Thank you, Father that You have caused for me to see myself as I am; a lost sinner.  But,  because of Your love and goodness, You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in You, Lord Jesus.  You took my place on the cross and provided the way for  me to be forgiven. Thank You.
Thank You that You prompted a desire in me to believe in You, the only begotten  Son of God who died on the cross to be the sacrifice that would  atone for my sins.

Thank You, Father for Your love that allowed Jesus to suffer and die in my place. Thank You that You raised Jesus from the dead. He is RISEN and is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus I am free.

You raised Jesus from the dead, gave Him a Glorified body and after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with You  in heaven.  

Thank you, Father,  for saving me in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

His ministry continues to flourish from the original (Spurgeon’s)  Metropolitan Tabernacle,  a church fellowship began in 1650 with the present  building constructed by members of the congregation in 1861 and rebuilt after the second world war..

        Spurgeon's written materials are for the edification of the church body as well as a great benefit, blessing and challenge to all readers. Our desire is that the written Word of God will become the Living  Word in each and every reader. God has preserved His Word through  The Masoretic Hebrew and Aramaic languages of the Old Testament and the GreekTextus Receptus of the New Testament:
 

In contrast, the Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not translated from the  5,321 Majority Text Greek manuscripts, that became the Textus Receptus [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus].

 

The Sinaiticus and Vaticanus manuscripts  present variant readings rather than that of the well-established and settled majority Texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.

Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the  Greek Textus Receptus.

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV), is the authentic. inerrant, and infallible  English Bible because it is rendered [translated into English] accurately and faithfully from the extant 5,321 majority Greek manuscripts text from which the Greek Textus Receptus, [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament is taken.

 

The Hebrew Masoretic Text copied faithfully by Masoretic scribes was the original Old Testament. (The Jewish Tanakh) is the Hebrew source from which translations into other languages were made. These manuscripts are providentially protected of God and always give the greatest glory to God when compared to other translations.  Editorial notations, variant and sometimes ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus consistently allow  nuanced meanings to diminish God’s Omnipotence, Omniscience, Omnipresence or other divine attributes from being fully voiced.

 

The Authorized King James version is unique also in that the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, The Crown’s Authorized Printer. No other [person or publisher] may print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

 

Printed Prayer: Printed prayers must not be read or offered as a substitute for personal, fervent, effectual, heart-felt, prayer. They are offered, rather, to warm the hearts of those who will presently seek a season of fervent, authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Authentic revelations from God during prayer are always consistent with His revealed Word, the Bible.

The above link is to search for specific words or Scriptures in the King James inerrant and infallible  English Version  (KJV)  because it is providentially protected and preserved by GOD Himself through the only translation into English by faithful brethren from the 5,312 established majority text manuscripts MT from which the New Testament  Greek Textus Receptus [received text] was taken  and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh).  These manuscripts are providentially protected, and give greater glory to God when compared to the variant readings of all post KJV  translations. Modern Critical Texts are based on only 55 hand picked Greek manuscripts fabricated from either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland. Both of these Greek textual sources make the assumption that OLDER IS BETTER. Of course, this assumption is not valid in any place   the older manuscripts err from the Textus Receptus..

 

The established majority manuscripts and the Textus Receptus avoid doctrinal error, and inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings which taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

Copyright: The King James Version is also distinguished by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No one other than the Crown’s printer, is allowed print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

 

In the United States there is no Copyright protection to restrict the free printing of the KJV. It is the only Bible version that may be printed freely as Public Domain. Any  new publication that changes 10% or more of any existing  publication may procure a lucrative Copyright protection to restrict unauthorized printing of the new publication. Therefore,  the NKJV, NIV and many other modern  translations. Only the King James Version New Testament is unique from among the over 100 English translations that follow modern textual criticism and only the King James is faithfully translated from the well-established  Greek Textus Receptus as the  Primary time tested and self-authenticating Greek Source.

In 1870, The Anglican Church of England passed a resolution to revise the English Bible. The New Testament revision committee which finally consisted of 25 scholars (though only about 16 eventually attended the meetings) which included Westcott and Hort. The committee worked for ten years in the Jerusalem chamber, and these two scholars swept the Revision Committee along with them after work commenced. In fact, the “Cambridge trio” (Westcott, Hort and Lightfoot) colluded with others to dominate the meetings with their views of the text and to defeat any who opposed them. Their *letters reveal this conspiracy:

The only voice defending the Textus Receptus was Dr Scrivener, probably the foremost scholar of the day in the manuscripts of the Greek New Testament and the history of the Text. But he was systematically outvoted by the Cambridge trio and outdone by Hort’s powerful debating skill. When the revision was completed, the revision committee had altered the Greek Text in 5,337 places,

thus violating the original rule that had been set for the committee of not altering the Greek Text unless absolutely necessary to do so.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, let it be said that no matter how good any modern version of the New Testament is in other ways, it is clearly blemished if the work of Westcott and Hort or Nestle & Aland.is present in it. The presence of their work means that it is based on  defective text. Those who honor the Word of God must not promote any of these versions by the church, not because the content of the version is entirely  evil in itself, but because being contented to use a weakened version rather than the existing, preserved, inerrant unblemished one, dishonors God. If God has preserved for His people a good Greek text of the New Testament for 18 centuries, how dishonoring it must  be to Him if His people now chose versions that are  based on  the defective and inferior  Greek manuscript  invented  by Westcott & Hort or Nestle & Aland.

 

Let the biblical story of Nadab and Abihu be a lesson for us all:
