ANECDOTE 230: March 18th    GENUINE PIETY.

 

When a great Grecian artist was fashioning an image for the temple he was diligently carving the back part of the goddess, and one said to him,

 

“You need not finish that part of the statue, because it is to be built into the wall.” [it won’t be seen]

He replied, “The gods can see into the wall.”

 

He had a right idea of what is due to God.

That part of my religion which no man can see should be as perfect as if it were to be observed by all. The day shall declare it. When Christ shall come everything shall be made known, and published before the universe.

 

Therefore, see to it that it be fit to be thus made known.

       This is as good as a promise, for it declares a present fact, which will be the same throughout all ages. God takes great pleasure in the prayers of upright men [of the righteous] ; He even calls them His delight. Our first concern is to be upright. Neither bending this way nor that, continue upright: not crooked with policy, nor prostrate [laying on the ground] by yielding to evil, be you upright in strict integrity and straight-forwardness. If we begin to shuffle and shift, we shall be left to shift for ourselves. If we try crooked ways, we shall find that we cannot pray, and if we pretend to do so, we shall find our prayers shut out of Heaven.  Are we acting in a straight line and thus following out the Lord’s revealed will [confirmed in the Bible]? Then let us pray much and pray in faith.  If our prayer is God’s delight, let us not stint [restrict] Him in that which gives Him pleasure. He does not consider the grammar of it, nor the metaphysics [spiritual aspects]  of it,  nor the rhetoric [logical argument] of it; in all these,  men might despise it. He, as a Father, takes pleasure in the lispings [contented cooing and beginning speech] of His own babes, the stammerings of His new-born sons and daughters. Should we not delight in prayer since the Lord delights in it? Let us make errands [run often] to the throne. The Lord finds us enough reasons for prayer, and we ought to thank Him that it is so.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, that the prayer of the upright [Your children who walk in obedience]  is Your delight. Thank You that You find delight in hearing and answering such prayer. Thank You for being our city of refuge [protection] Lord Jesus where we shall be.  Please help me to know and live in your sanctuary where my heart-aches can be comforted and my prayer heard.  Comforter, [Holy Spirit] be O so near! in Jesus name, Amen.

         THE fatherhood of God is common to all his children. Ah! Little-faith, you have often said, "Oh that I had the courage of Great-heart, that I could wield [wear] his sword and be as valiant as he! “Little-faith and Great-heart are characters personified in John Bunyan’s world famous allegory The Pilgrim’s Progress.        But, alas, I stumble at every straw , and a shadow makes me afraid." Listen, Little-faith. Great-heart is God's child, and you are God's child too, and Great-heart is not one bit more God's child than you are. Peter and Paul, the highly-favored apostles, were of the family of the Most High; and so you are also; the weak Christian is as much a child of God as the strong one.

 

This cov’nant stands secure,

     Though earth's old pillars bow;
The strong, the feeble, and the weak,
     Are one in Jesus now.

 

All the names are in the same family register. One may have more grace than another, but God our heavenly Father has the same tender heart toward all. One may do more mighty works, and may bring more glory to his Father, but he whose name is the least in the kingdom of heaven is as much the child of God as he who stands among the King's mighty men. Let this cheer and comfort us, when we draw near to God and say, "Our Father."

Yet, while we are comforted by knowing this, let us not rest contented with weak faith, but ask, like the Apostles, to have it increased. However feeble our faith may be, if it be real faith in Christ, we will reach heaven at last, but we will not honor our Master much on our pilgrimage, neither will we abound in joy and peace. If you would live to Christ's glory, and be happy in His service, then seek to be filled with the spirit of adoption more and more completely, till perfect love casts out fear.

THE Father loves [Jesus Christ] the Son in the same manner that Jesus loves His people. What is that divine method [Godly attribute of love]? He loved Him without beginning, and thus Jesus loves His members [His body, the true church]. "I have loved thee with an everlasting [eternal] love." You can trace the beginning of human affection. You can easily find the beginning of your love to Christ; but His love to us is a stream whose source is hidden in eternity. God the Father loves Jesus without any change. Christian, take this for your comfort, that there is no change in Jesus Christ's love to those who rest in Him. Yesterday you were on [Mt.] Tabor's top, and you said, "He loves me"; today you are in the valley of humiliation, but He loves you still the same. On the hill Mizar, and among the Hermons, you heard His voice, that spoke so sweetly with the cooing notes of love; and now on the sea, or even in the sea, when all His waves and billows go over you, His heart is faithful to His an­cient choice [of love]. The Father loves the Son without any end, and in the same way the Son loves His people. Saint, you need not fear the loosing of the silver cord, for His love for you will never cease. Rest confident that even down to the grave Christ will go with you, and that up again from it He will be your guide to the celestial hills [heaven]. Moreover, the Father loves the Son without any [beyond all] meas­ure, and this same immeasurable love the Son bestows upon [freely gives to] His chosen ones. I know that me doing my best or being good (in my own opinion)  and justifying my own behavior as "good"  or "OK" will never  save me.
I look to You, alone  Lord Jesus to save me. 
I come to You   right now.  Lord Jesus.   Please save me.  I believe You died on the cross in my place to pay for my sin debt and put to death my sin nature. I know  You always keep your word.  Please save me. You say and  it’s written in the Bible that you won’t reject anyone who comes to You. I'm coming  to You now. Thank You for saving me.
I  give myself (all of myself) to You, Lord Jesus. I declare that You are my Savior and Lord. I’m sorry for and I turn away from  every sin (every bad thought, every bad word I have spoken and every bad thing I have ever done)  and look to You free me from the penalty of sin, to keep me free from the power of sin and empower me overcome any temptation from sin’s  presence.  Thank you for forgiving  all of  my sins by dying on the cross to pay the punishment that I deserve.  (I was a sinner by nature and by behavior). Thank you Father that You have made a way for me to see myself as ungodly.  But,  because You are good You have made a way and given me the desire to come to You, to turn away from my sin and to trust in the Lord Jesus.  You have forgiven me because He took my place and You have provided for  me to be born again [born from above, born of the Holy Spirit].  
You prompted this desire and faith to believe in Your only begotten Son who,gave up  His life and died on the cross to pay my sin debt, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world. 

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is ALIVE and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave and in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. After You raised Him from the dead You gave Him a Glorified, [everlasting] physical body and  after he was seen by many witnesses on earth You took Him up to reign with  You  in heaven. 

 

 I pray this in the name, of Your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart.   Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and for sending the Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, for my guidance and solemn instruction into all truth.,  Amen.”

Alterations to and alternative readings in Biblical Text were brought about by the Critical Greek Text of Westcott & Hort and was used to translate the: NIV, ESV, RSV and other Modern Language Translations. These Greek translations came from the Greek Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.  90% is from Vaticanus and 8-9% from Sinaiticus  and were the principle source Texts used by Westcott and Hort to invent their Critical Greek Text. There are  more disagreements than there are agreements between these two Codices.

 

17 verses are deleted out of the New Testament in the Critical Text. 7,000 words are deleted.

Codices Sinaiticus  and Vaticanus are counterfeits that were  overwritten in the 10th 11th and  completely overwritten in the 15th centuries. There are more points of disagreement than there are points of agreement between them.

The Geneva Bible was also translated from the Traditional Greek Text, The Textus Receptus [The Received Text] including  comments favorable to the Protestant Reformation  from, devoted,  faithful Christian men of GOD; Puritan Believers whose lives were  beyond reproach.
This Bible was brought to Plymouth Massachusetts  in the American Colonies by the Puritan Pilgrims guided by Captain Christopher Jones’s on the Mayflower sailing ship in 1620. A 1592 Edition of the Geneva Bible that belonging to a Mayflower passenger and the Governor of the Plymouth Colony (Later to become the State of   Massachusetts) by William Bradford and is on display at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the United States.

The traditional Textus Receptus [The Received (Greek) Text] unlike any other Greek Text was taken  from more than 5,321 original Majority (Greek Manuscript) Text [MT] that agree 99% with one another. Other variant readings stem from Greek translations invented by  either Westcott and Hort or Nestle and Aland.  These fabricated Greek Texts were translated from only a handful [45] of Majority Text Manuscripts MT and  lack the  trustworthiness of  the inspired 1769 [1611] King James Version, KJV or the Geneva Bible and are the only two translations of the traditional, reliable, inspired, [GOD BREATHED] immutable and providentially and divinely protected Textus Receptus [TR]

 

There is also translational evidence from Jerome’s Latin Vulgate that establishes The Traditional Greek Text as both the OLDEST and the BEST. [Unlike the Counterfeit proofs  offered with The Critical Test].

1 John 4:1-3
Beloved ones, don’t be believing every spirit [everyone or !everything] you hear but be testing the spirit [voice] whether it is of God: because many false prophets have gone [come] out into the world. Here’s how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [voice] that confesses [avows] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh, having come[who came] out of God, is of God: and every spirit that confesses not [doesn’t audibly avow] that Jesus Christ is come [is here] in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Therefore I do confess,  that Jesus Christ is come  [is here]  in the flesh.

[All translations of the Bible that use  Greek translations other than the Traditional AKA the faithful Textus Receptus do not have the Greek word “ictin”.  This word  means “is” in English] and  its exclusion causes the meaning of its translation, “is here” to change to “has” come.

This mistake is self-evident because non-believers, false prophets, atheists and even  heretics can, and frequently do, affirm that Jesus Christ “has come”   [in the flesh].

While this is a true statement, taken at face value, the  meaning of  “has come” is clearly not the same as “is here”. When “has” come is the meaning   the test God has given in His Word to discern whether words being analyzed are from the Spirit of God or the spirit of antichrist is made void.

One of the most well documented facts in all human history is that Jesus The Christ [The Anointed Messiah]  “has” come in the flesh. However, the essential question  is not whether the spirit [a spoken or written word] confesses that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh but, whether this confession affirms that Jesus Christ, “is come” [is here],  in the flesh.

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV)  also known as The King James Version, Edition of 1769 (KJV), The Authorized Version (AV) and The Geneva Bible are faithful Translations from the preeminent, [surpassing all others],  Traditional Greek Text which predates the name given to the  Textus Receptus [The Received Text] TR, and is superior to all modern Critical Text translations rendered from inferiorGreek Sources that include: (Westcott & Hort, Nestle & Aland,  and Codices Vaticanus, Sinaiticus and Alexandrus).

(KJV) The Authorized Version AV Translation was faithfully translated by fully consecrated,  and dedicated men of faith, beyond reproach, preeminent linguists, language scholars who were fully devoted followers of  The Lord Jesus Christ.   The 1611 King James translation is from the inerrant, inspired and immutable Textus Receptus [Received Text]:

“Thy Word” is The Inspired and Ultimate Stare Decisis [A Legal Term in Latin that establishes the principle of “Legal Precedence”. It means to stand by things decided, and  to uphold all things God-Breathed [Inspired] and therefore eternally, Divinely and immutably decided FOREVER]

[All other English translations of the Bible that use Greek manuscripts other than the Textus Receptus erroneously renders the English translation “Has come”.

      

 This Translation error is because inferior Greek manuscripts do not include the Greek word  “ictin”  (This is The Greek word for is that is found only in the Majority Text of the Textus Receptus) and therefore  the failure  to correctly translate “ictin” [Is Here] into English.

 

 The Authorized King James Version AKJV also known as The Authorized Version AV and the Geneva Bible stand alone in making and giving the correct translation: “is here”.

 

This  error: “has come” is self-evident, because non-believers, false prophets and even heretics  can, and sometimes will,  make the confession that He “has come” in the flesh. This is no surprise because the birth of Jesus Christ is the most well documented fact in all of recorded history.  Indeed, it is a true and factual statement that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Yet, while this is, a true and factual statement, the meaning in scripture has now been erroneously changed. The new and erroneous meaning is that now even if He “has come” in the flesh  the confession that JESUS CHRIST IS HERE IN THE FLESH is impossible for THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST who is the creator of all heresies  to confess. Without it, Don’t  believe anything  that is said or written.

 

NEITHER does it provide for the test for believers to discern whether a spirit [voice or written words being read or heard] are from God or from the Antichrist.  It is  true that Jesus Christ “has come” in the flesh, but it’s essential that the confession that Jesus Christ,  “IS HERE IN THE FLESH” Be confessed  [be spoken].

…This is a Video of tribute that  honors all Indigenous Braves  that gave Military Service and the families of Native-American Scouts from White Shield, North Dakota  who served in the armed services of The United States of America defending. …the land of the free and the home of the Brave.

 Jon loved to say, “I’m a blood-bought, born-again Child of God!” to anyone he happened to meet.

… Jon’s  testimony lives on from one who, by grace, through faith was forever accepted in the Beloved; who’s loving ways brought the good news of Jesus to many. and one who is now present with the LORD  in glory forever.  One who, one day, we’ll reunite.. 
 

Jon  would sometimes just sing-out some of the following songs on the way to church, or just singing along with the Elvis Gospel CD that was always in our F-150’s CD player while riding with his Dad or,  Best of all, when  an inspired,  spontaneous praise from the Lord would just pop out from his joyful, creative, redeemed and loving heart.

       *I Can Only Imagine being present with the LORD,  or hearing the completed song the Lord completed with Jon when he arrived; a song known only to the Lord,  to Jon and the few who heard Jon sing it here. Lyrics remembered  from him singing:   "See my Jesus, Walkin' on duh Waduh"…  an original, inspired song from our beloved  Jon, himself a true and renown original.

…Jon would always say “Later”; [as in, see-ya later] instead of “good bye”.  It was the only farewell greeting he would ever use when parting company with a friend; and, everyone was Jon’s friend.

 … He would never  say “good-bye”.

Now, as we remember the sound of him saying “Later”, it rings true in a  new and deeper meaning and it brings a joy and comfort to the hearts of those whom he loved so well; those who love him still and will forever more.
